Matthew 5
1 Having seen then the crowds He went up on the mountain, and when was sitting down He they came to Him the disciples of Him.
Voyant la foule, Jésus monta sur la montagne; et, après qu’il se fut assis, ses disciples s’approchèrent de lui.
2 And opening the mouth of Him He was teaching them saying:
Puis, ayant ouvert la bouche, il les enseigna, et dit:
3 Blessed [are] the poor in the spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Heureux les pauvres en esprit, car le royaume des cieux est à eux!
4 Blessed [are] those mourning, for they themselves will be comforted.
Heureux les affligés, car ils seront consolés!
5 Blessed [are] the meek, for they themselves will inherit the earth.
Heureux les débonnaires, car ils hériteront la terre!
6 Blessed [are] those hungering and thirsting for righteousness, for they themselves will be filled.
Heureux ceux qui ont faim et soif de la justice, car ils seront rassasiés!
7 Blessed [are] the merciful, for they themselves will receive mercy.
Heureux les miséricordieux, car ils obtiendront miséricorde!
8 Blessed [are] the pure in heart, for they themselves God will see.
Heureux ceux qui ont le cœur pur, car ils verront Dieu!
9 Blessed [are] the peacemakers, for they themselves sons of God will be called.
Heureux ceux qui procurent la paix, car ils seront appelés fils de Dieu!
10 Blessed [are] those persecuted on account of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of the heavens.
Heureux ceux qui sont persécutés pour la justice, car le royaume des cieux est à eux!
11 Blessed are you when they may insult you and they may persecute [you] and they may say all kinds of evil (declaration *k) against you lying on account of Me.
Heureux serez-vous, lorsqu’on vous outragera, qu’on vous persécutera et qu’on dira faussement de vous toute sorte de mal, à cause de moi.
12 do rejoice and do exult, for the reward of you [is] great in the heavens; thus for they persecuted the prophets before you.
Réjouissez-vous et soyez dans l’allégresse, parce que votre récompense sera grande dans les cieux; car c’est ainsi qu’on a persécuté les prophètes qui ont été avant vous.
13 You yourselves are the salt of the earth; if however the salt shall become tasteless, with what will it be salted? For no [thing] it is useful any longer only except for (being cast *N+kO) out (and *k) is to be trampled upon by men.
Vous êtes le sel de la terre. Mais si le sel perd sa saveur, avec quoi la lui rendra-t-on? Il ne sert plus qu’à être jeté dehors, et foulé aux pieds par les hommes.
14 You yourselves are the light of the world; Not is able a city to be hidden on a hill lying;
Vous êtes la lumière du monde. Une ville située sur une montagne ne peut être cachée;
15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket but upon the lampstand, and it shines for all those in the house.
eton n’allume pas une lampe pour la mettre sous le boisseau, mais on la met sur le chandelier, et elle éclaire tous ceux qui sont dans la maison.
16 Thus should shine the light of you before men so that they may see your good works and they may glorify the Father of you who [is] in the heavens.
Que votre lumière luise ainsi devant les hommes, afin qu’ils voient vos bonnes œuvres, et qu’ils glorifient votre Père qui est dans les cieux.
17 Not may think that I have come to abolish the law or the Prophets; not I have come to abolish but to fulfill.
Ne croyez pas que je sois venu pour abolir la loi ou les prophètes; je suis venu non pour abolir, mais pour accomplir.
18 Amen for I say to you; until when may pass away the heaven and the earth, iota one or one stroke of a letter certainly not may pass away from the law until when everything may happen.
Car, je vous le dis en vérité, tant que le ciel et la terre ne passeront point, il ne disparaîtra pas de la loi un seul iota ou un seul trait de lettre, jusqu’à ce que tout soit arrivé.
19 Who[ever] if then shall break one of the commandments of these the least and shall teach so the others, least he will be called in the kingdom of the heavens. who[ever] now maybe may keep and may teach [them], this [one] great will be called in the kingdom of the heavens.
Celui donc qui supprimera l’un de ces plus petits commandements, et qui enseignera aux hommes à faire de même, sera appelé le plus petit dans le royaume des cieux; mais celui qui les observera, et qui enseignera à les observer, celui-là sera appelé grand dans le royaume des cieux.
20 I say for to you that only unless shall abound your righteousness above [that] of the scribes and Pharisees, certainly not shall you enter into the kingdom of the heavens.
Car, je vous le dis, si votre justice ne surpasse celle des scribes et des pharisiens, vous n’entrerez point dans le royaume des cieux.
21 You have heard that it was said to the ancients; Not you will murder; who[ever] now maybe may murder, liable will be to the judgment;’
Vous avez entendu qu’il a été dit aux anciens: Tu ne tueras point; celui qui tuera mérite d’être puni par les juges.
22 I myself however say to you that everyone who is being angry with the brother of him (in vain *KO) liable will be to the judgment; who[ever] now maybe may say to the brother of him; Raca,’ liable will be to the Sanhedrin; who[ever] now maybe may say; Fool, liable will be to the hell of fire. Mais moi, je vous dis que quiconque se met en colère contre son frère mérite d’être puni par les juges; que celui qui dira à son frère: Raca! Mérite d’être puni par le sanhédrin; et que celui qui lui dira: Insensé! Mérite d’être puni par le feu de la géhenne. (Geenna g1067)
23 If therefore you shall offer the gift of you at the altar and there and there shall remember that the brother of you has something against you,
Si donc tu présentes ton offrande à l’autel, et que là tu te souviennes que ton frère a quelque chose contre toi,
24 do leave there the gift of you before the altar and do go away, first do be reconciled to the brother of you, and then having come do offer the gift of you.
laisse là ton offrande devant l’autel, et va d’abord te réconcilier avec ton frère; puis, viens présenter ton offrande.
25 do be agreeing with the accuser of you quickly before which you are with him on the way otherwise otherwise you shall deliver the accuser to the judge, and the judge (you he may betray *KO) to the officer, and into prison you will be cast.
Accorde-toi promptement avec ton adversaire, pendant que tu es en chemin avec lui, de peur qu’il ne te livre au juge, que le juge ne te livre à l’officier de justice, et que tu ne sois mis en prison.
26 Amen I say to you; certainly not you may come out from there until when you may pay the last kodranten!
Je te le dis en vérité, tu ne sortiras pas de là que tu n’aies payé le dernier quadrant.
27 You have heard that it was said (to the ancients: *K) Not will you commit adultery.’
Vous avez appris qu’il a été dit: Tu ne commettras point d’adultère.
28 I myself however say to you that everyone who is looking upon a woman in order to lust after (her *N+kO) already has committed adultery with her in the heart of him.
Mais moi, je vous dis que quiconqueregarde une femme pour la convoiter a déjà commis un adultère avec elle dans son cœur.
29 If now the eye of you right causes to stumble you, do pluck out it and do cast [it] from you; it is better indeed for you that may perish one of the members of you and not all the body of you may be cast into hell. (Geenna g1067)
Si ton œil droit est pour toi une occasion de chute, arrache-le et jette-le loin de toi; car il est avantageux pour toi qu’un seul de tes membres périsse, et que ton corps entier ne soit pas jeté dans la géhenne. (Geenna g1067)
30 And if the right of you hand causes to stumble you, do cut off it and do cast [it] from you; it is better indeed for you that may perish one of the members of you and not all the body of you into hell (may depart. *N+KO) (Geenna g1067)
Et si ta main droite est pour toi une occasion de chute, coupe-la et jette-la loin de toi; car il est avantageux pour toi qu’un seul de tes membres périsse, et que ton corps entier n’aille pas dans la géhenne. (Geenna g1067)
31 It was said also (that: *k) Who[ever] maybe may divorce the wife of him, he should give to her a letter of divorce.’
Il a été dit: Que celui qui répudie sa femme lui donne une lettre de divorce.
32 I myself however say to you that (everyone who is divorcing *N+kO) the wife of him except on account of sexual immorality causes her (to be adulterated; *N+KO) And who[ever] if divorced shall marry, commits adultery.
Mais moi, je vous dis que celui qui répudie sa femme, sauf pour cause d’infidélité, l’expose à devenir adultère, et que celui qui épouse une femme répudiée commet un adultère.
33 Again you have heard that it was said to the ancients; Not will you swear falsely, you will keep now to the Lord the oaths of you.
Vous avez encore appris qu’il a été dit aux anciens: Tu ne te parjureras point, mais tu t’acquitteras envers le Seigneur de ce que tu as déclaré par serment.
34 I myself however say to you not to swear at all, neither [swear] by heaven because [the] throne it is of God,
Mais moi, je vous dis dene jurer aucunement, ni par le ciel, parce que c’est le trône de Dieu;
35 nor [swear] by the earth because [the] footstool it is of the feet of Him, nor [swear] by Jerusalem because [the] city it is of the great King,
ni par la terre, parce que c’est son marchepied; ni par Jérusalem, parce que c’est la ville du grand roi.
36 nor by the head of you may you swear because not you are able one hair white to make or black.
Ne jure pas non plus par ta tête, car tu ne peux rendre blanc ou noir un seul cheveu.
37 should be however the statement of you Yes Yes, [and] ‘No ‘No; The however excessive of these from evil comes.
Que votre parole soit oui, oui, non, non; ce qu’on y ajoute vient du malin.
38 You have heard that it was said; Eye for eye and tooth for tooth.’
Vous avez appris qu’il a étédit: œil pour œil, et dent pour dent.
39 I myself however say to you not to resist the evil [person]. Instead whoever you (strike on *N+kO) the right cheek of you, do turn to him also the other;
Mais moi, je vous dis dene pas résister au méchant. Si quelqu’un te frappe sur la joue droite, présente-lui aussi l’autre.
40 and to the [one] willing you to sue and the tunic of you to take, do yield to him also the cloak;
Si quelqu’un veut plaider contre toi, et prendre ta tunique, laisse-lui encore ton manteau.
41 and whoever you will compel to go mile one, do go with him two.
Si quelqu’un te force à faire un mille, fais-en deux avec lui.
42 To the [one] asking you (do give *N+kO) and the [one] desiring from you to borrow not may you turn away from.
Donne à celui qui te demande, et ne te détourne pas de celui qui veut emprunter de toi.
43 You have heard that it was said; You will love the neighbour of you and will hate the enemy of you.’
Vous avez appris qu’il a été dit: Tu aimeras ton prochain, et tu haïras ton ennemi.
44 I myself however say to you; do love the enemies of you (do bless those cursing you well do *K) (to those hating *K+o) (you *K) and do pray for those (mistreating you and *K) persecuting you,
Mais moi, je vous dis: Aimez vos ennemis, bénissez ceux qui vous maudissent, faites du bien à ceux qui vous haïssent, etpriez pour ceux qui vous maltraitent et qui vous persécutent,
45 so that you may be sons of the Father of you who is in (the *o) heavens, For the sun of Him He makes rise on evil and good and He sends rain on righteous and unrighteous.
afin que vous soyez fils de votre Père qui est dans les cieux; car il fait lever son soleil sur les méchants et sur les bons, et il fait pleuvoir sur les justes et sur les injustes.
46 If for you shall love those loving you, what reward have you? Surely also the tax collectors the (same *NK+o) do?
Si vous aimez ceux qui vous aiment, quelle récompense méritez-vous? Les publicains aussi n’agissent-ils pas de même?
47 And if you shall greet the (brothers *NK+O) of you only, what excessive do you? Surely also the (Gentiles *N+KO) (the *no) (same *N+kO) do?
Et si vous saluez seulement vos frères, que faites-vous d’extraordinaire? Les païens aussi n’agissent-ils pas de même?
48 Will be therefore you yourselves perfect (how *N+kO) the Father of you who (Heavenly *N+KO) perfect is.
Soyez donc parfaits, comme votre Père céleste est parfait.
