< Matthew 3 >

1 In then the days those comes John the Baptist preaching in the wilderness of Judea
2 and saying; do repent; has drawn near for the kingdom of the heavens.
Ho pet keuz, rak rouantelezh an neñvoù a zo tost.
3 This for is the [One] having been spoken of (through *N+kO) Isaiah the prophet saying; [The] voice of one crying in the wilderness do prepare the way of [the] Lord, straight do make the paths of Him.
Anezhañ eo en deus komzet ar profed Izaia, o lavarout: Mouezh an hini a gri el lec'h distro a lavar: Kempennit hent an Aotrou, plaenit e wenodennoù.
4 Himself now John was having the garment of him of hair of a camel and a belt of leather around the waist of him; and [the] food was of him locusts and honey wild.
Yann a zouge ur sae a vlev kañval hag ur gouriz lêr en-dro d'e groazell; e voued a oa kilheien-raden ha mel gouez.
5 At that time were going out to him Jerusalem and all Judea and all the region around the Jordan,
An dud eus Jeruzalem, eus an holl Judea hag eus an holl vro war-dro ar Jordan, a yae d'e gavout,
6 and were being baptized in the Jordan (River *no) by him confessing the sins of them.
hag, oc'h anzav o fec'hedoù, e oant badezet gantañ er stêr Jordan.
7 Having seen now many of the Pharisees and Sadducees coming to the baptism of him he said to them; Brood of vipers, who forewarned you to flee from the coming wrath?
Eñ eta, o welout kalz a farizianed hag a sadukeiz o tont d'e vadeziant, a lavaras dezho: Lignez a naered-gwiber, piv en deus desket deoc'h tec'hel diouzh ar gounnar da zont?
8 do produce therefore (fruit worthy *N+kO) of repentance.
Dougit eta frouezh dereat d'ar geuzidigezh,
9 And not may you presume to say within yourselves; [As] father we have Abraham; I say for to you that able is God out of stones these to raise up children to Abraham.
ha na lavarit ket ennoc'h hoc'h-unan: Ni hon eus evit tad Abraham; rak me a lavar deoc'h, e c'hell Doue ober genel eus ar vein-se bugale da Abraham.
10 Already now (and *k) the ax to the root of the trees is applied. every therefore tree not producing fruit good is cut down and into [the] fire is thrown.
Ar vouc'hal a zo a-vremañ lakaet ouzh gwrizioù ar gwez.
11 I myself indeed you baptize with water to repentance, however after me is coming mightier than I He is of whom not I am fit the sandals to carry; He himself you will baptize with [the] Spirit Holy and with fire;
Me ho padez en dour, evit ar geuzidigezh; met unan all a zeu, galloudusoc'h egedon, ha n'on ket dellezek da zougen e votoù.
12 whose winnowing fork [is] in the hand of Him, and He will clear the threshing floor of Him and will gather the wheat of Him into the barn (of him *o) the but chaff He will burn up with fire unquenchable.
E grouer a zo en e zaouarn, naetaat a raio mat e leur, hag e tastumo ar gwinizh en e solier, met ar pell a zevo en tan na varv ket.
13 Then comes Jesus from Galilee to the Jordan unto John to be baptized by him.
Neuze, Jezuz a zeuas eus Galilea d'ar Jordan, da gavout Yann, evit bezañ badezet gantañ.
14 But John was hindering Him saying; I myself need have by You to be baptized, and You yourself come to me?
15 Answering however Jesus said unto (him; *NK+o) do permit [it] now; thus for fitting it is to us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he permits Him.
Neuze eñ a lezas d'ober.
16 (and *k) Having been baptized (now *no) Jesus immediately went up from the water. and behold were opened to Him the heavens, and he saw the Spirit of God descending as a dove and alighting upon Him.
Ha goude ma oa bet badezet Jezuz, e savas raktal eus an dour; ha setu, an neñvoù a oa digoret a-us dezhañ, hag e welas Spered Doue, e doare ur goulm, o tiskenn warnañ.
17 And behold a voice out of the heavens saying; This is the Son of Mine the beloved in whom I was well pleased.
Ha setu, ur vouezh eus an neñvoù a lavare: Hemañ eo va Mab karet-mat, ennañ em eus lakaet va holl levenez.
