< Matthew 27 >

1 As morning then having arrived counsel took all the chief priests and the elders of the people against Jesus so that they might put to death him,

2 And having bound Him they led away [Him] and delivered (Him to Pontius *K) Pilate the governor.

3 Then having seen Judas the [one who] (betraying *NK+o) Him that He was condemned, having regretted [it] (he turned *N+kO) the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and (to the *k) elders

4 saying; I sinned having betrayed blood (innocent. *NK+O) Then they said; What [is that] to us? You yourself will see.
Akavavuula akati,”Nivombile inyivi kukumwohela umuunhu unsila nkole.”Neke aveene vakati,”Inongua ijio jaako juuve usue nakwetule.”
5 And having cast down the pieces of silver (into the temple *N+kO) he withdrew, and having gone away hanged himself.
Pe umwene akasitagha indalama sila muluviika lwa nyumba inyimike ijakufunyila akaluta kukukunga.
6 And the chief priests having taken the pieces of silver said; Not it is lawful to put them into the treasury since [the] price of blood it is.
Avavaha va vatekesi vakatoola indalama sila vakati,”Nalunoghile kuviika indalama isi munyumba inyimike ija Nguluve, ulwakuuva siveele sihombilue kukuung'a idanda ja muunhu.”
7 Counsel then having taken they bought with them the field of the potter for a burial place for the strangers.
Pe vakapuling'hana, vakatoola indalama sila vakaghula umughunda ughwa m'bumba fijigha kuuti mwe vanyisilaghe avahesia.
8 Therefore was called the field that Field of Blood until this day.
Fye nambe umughunda ughuo nambe lino,”ghutambulua mughunda ghwa Danda.”
9 Then was fulfilled that having been spoken through Jeremiah the prophet saying; And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the [One] priced, whom they set a price on by [the] sons of Israel,

10 and they gave them for the field of the potter, as directed me [the] Lord

11 And Jesus (stood *N+kO) before the governor; and questioned Him the governor saying; You yourself are the King of the Jews? And Jesus was saying (to him: *ko) You yourself say.
Pepano u Yesu akiima pa vuhighi pa ntwa u Pilato. Untwa akamposia akati,”Asi, uve veeve ntwa ghwa Vayahudi?”U Yesu akamwamula akati,”Uve ujovile.”
12 And in accusing of Him by the chief priests and (the *ko) elders no [thing] He answered.

13 Then says to Him Pilate; Not do you hear how many things You they witness against?
Pepano untwa akamposia akati,”Ghwe naghupulika isi sooni sino vikwoleka kuuti uhokile?”
14 And not He did answer him to not even one word so as to amaze the governor exceedingly.
U Yesu naalyamwamwile kimonga. Apuo untwa u Pilato akadegha kyongo.
15 At now [the] feast had been accustomed the governor to release one to the multitude prisoner whom they were wishing.

16 They were holding now at that time a prisoner notable being named (Jesus *NO) Barabbas.

17 When were assembled therefore they said to them Pilate; Whom do you want [that] I may release to you? (Jesus *NO) Barabbas or Jesus who is named Christ?
Lino avaanhu ye vakong'hanile, u Pilato akavamposia akati,”Asi, mu vakungua vavili ava, u Balaba nu Yesu juno viiti ghwe Kilisite mulonda nivadindulile veeni?”
18 He knew for that through envy they delivered up him.
U Pilato alyavaposisie uluo ulwakuuva alyakagwile kuutiavavaha va Vayahudi valyale ni kivini nu Yesu, fye nambe valyantwalile kwa mwene kuuti ahighue.
19 When was sitting now he on the judgment seat sent to him the wife of him saying; [Let there be] nothing between you and the righteous [man] that; many things for I suffered today in a dream because of Him.
U Pilato ye ikalile pa kitengo kyake ikya vuhighi, un'dala ghwake akasung'ha imhola kwa mwene akati,”Nungam'bombelaghe uluviivi lumonga umuunhu ujuo umugholofu, ulwakuva pakilo nihangajiike kyongo mu njosi vwimila umwene.”
20 And the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowds that they may ask for Barabbas, and Jesus may destroy.
Neke avavaha va vatekesi na vagoyo vakavahonga avaanhu kuuti vansuume u Pilato an'dindule u Balaba na kukumhigha u Yesu kuuti abadue.
21 Answering now the governor said to them; Which do you desire of the two I may release to you? And they said; Barabbas.
U Pilato akavaposia kange akati,”Ghwe veeni juno mulonda nin'dindulile mu vakungua vavili ava?”Vakamwamula vakati,”UBalaba.”
22 Says to them Pilate; What then shall I do with Jesus who is called Christ? They say (to him *k) all; he should be crucified.
U Pilato akavamposiankange akati, Pe nim'bombe kiki u Yesu juno viiti ghwe Kilisite?”Avaanhu vooni vakoova vakati,”Unkomelele pa kikivekano”
23 And (governor *k) was saying: What for evil did He commit? And excessively they were crying out saying; he should be crucified.
U Pilato akavamposia kange akati,”Umuunhu uju avombile luviivibluki?”Aveene vakaghina kukwova viuti,”Unkomelele pa kikovekano.”
24 Having seen now Pilate that no [thing] it availed but rather a riot is arising, having taken water he washed the hands (opposite *NK+o) the crowd saying; Guiltless I am of the blood (righteous [one] *KO) of this; For yourselves you will behold.
U Pilato ye akagwile kuuti naangandule uvulamusi vwa vaanhu kange vatengwile, ilyovo akatoola amalenga akoogha amavokonghaake pamaaso gha vaanhu, vooni kuvonia kuuti umwene namwale mu nkole ughuo. Akavavula akati,”Une nili nsila nkole vwimila kufua kwa umuunhu uju. Uluo lwinu jumue.”
25 And answering all the people said; The blood of Him [be] on us and on the children of us.
Avaanhu voonivakamwamula vakati,”Unkole ughwa kum'buda umuunhu ujuo ghuvisaghe ghwitu na vaana viitu.”
26 Then he released to them Barabbas; and Jesus having flogged He delivered up [Him] that He may be crucified.
Pe pano u Pilato akan'dindulila uBalaba, neke akalaghila kuuti u Yesu akopue ni mijeledi na kukomelelua pa kikovekano.
27 Then the soldiers of the governor having taken with [them] Jesus to the Praetorium gathered before Him all the cohort,
Pepano avasikali va ntwa u Pilato vakatwala u Yesu mu luviika lwa nyumba ja ntwa, pe ikipugha kyoni ikya vasikali kikakong'hona, kikansyungutila u Yesu.
28 And having stripped Him a robe scarlet they put around Him,
Vakamfuula amenda ghaake, vakafwasia isopeka indangali, ndavule ija kitwa.
29 And having twisted together a crown of thorns they put [it] on (the head *N+kO) of Him and a reed (in the right hand *N+kO) of Him, and having bowed the knees before Him (they mocked *N+kO) Him saying; Hail (the *k) (King *N+kO) of the Jews!
Pe vakatenda ingeela ija mifua, vakafwasia ku mutu, neke vakaviika ulukwegho mu luvoko lwake ulwa ndio avonekaghe hwene ntwa. Pepano vakafughama pamaaso ghaake vikum'benapula na kukunnenela viiti,”Kamwene ghwe Ntwa ghwa Vayahudi?”
30 And having spit upon Him they took the reed and were striking [Him] on the head of Him.
Pe vakafuunyila amati, Vakatoola ulukwegho lula mu luvoko lwake, vakantova ku mutu.
31 And when they had mocked Him, they took off Him the robe and they put on Him the garments of Him and led away Him to to crucify [Him].
Ye vannennile, vakamfuula isopeka jila, vakafwasia amenda ghaake. Pepano vakantwala kukunkomelela pa kikovekano.
32 Going forth now they found a man of Cyrene named Simon; Him they compelled that he may carry the cross of Him.
Ye vali mu sila viluta, vakatang'hana nu muunhu jumonga juno akatambuluagha Simoni, umhuma mu likaaja ilya Kileene. Avasikali vakamwumilisia kupinda ikikovekano kya Yesu.
33 And having come to a place being named Golgotha, (which *N+kO) is of a Skull Place being named,
Ye vafikile pano pakatambuluagha Goligota, kwe kuuti,”Ling'ala lya Mutu,”
34 they gave Him to drink (wine *N+KO) with gall mingled, and having tasted not (He wished *N+kO) to drink [it].
Vakampeela uluhuuje uluhasing'hanie nu nkota ughwa kusilisia uvuvafi. Neke ye avonjile, akakaana kunyua.
35 having crucified now Him they divided the garments of Him casting lots, (so that may be fulfilled which having been spoken by prophet they divided the garments of mine themselves and upon the clothing of mine they cast lots *K)
Vakankomelela pa kikovekano, pe vakaviika ulusodolelo kuuti amenda gha Yesu atoole veeni. Likavombeka enendiki neke likwilanisivue ilisio lino lilyajovilue nu m'bili kuuti, Vaghaviine amenda ghango, vasodolile mulwa kutoola isopeka jango.”
36 And sitting down they were guarding Him there,
Pe vakikala palapala kuuti vamulolelelaghe.
37 And they put up over the head of Him the accusation of Him written: This is Jesus the King of the Jews.
Pa kikovekano ku mutu ghwake vakakomelela,”UJU GHWE YESU, UNTWA GHWA VAYAHUDi.”
38 At the same time are crucified with Him two robbers, one at [the] right hand and one at [the] left.
Unsiki ghughuo avaanhu avange vavili vano valyale vahijivabudi vakakomelelua palikimo nu Yesu, jumonga akava ulubale lwake ulwa kundio, ujunge kung'highi.
39 Those now passing by were denigrating Him wagging the heads of them
Avaanhu vano vakava vikila pala vakasukaniagha amatu ghaake, vikumuligha viiti,
40 and saying; You who [are] destroying the temple and in three days building [it], do save Yourself! If [the] Son You are of God, (also *n) do descend from the cross!
Uve ghwe juno ghwatisagha ghulimemula inyumba inyimike ija Nguluve neke ghujenga ifighono fitatu, nave uli Mwana ghwa Nguluve, Ghupoke, ghwke pa kikovekano!”
41 Likewise (now *ko) also the chief priests mocking with the scribes and elders (and Pharisees *O) were saying;
Voope avavaha va vatekesi na vavulanisi va ndaghilo isa Moose palikimo na vagoyo avange vakamwovelelagha vakatisagha,”
42 Others He saved, Himself not is He able to save. (if *k) King of Israel He is, he should descend now from the cross, and we will believe (in *no) (Him. *N+kO)
Avapokaghava avange, lino ikunua kukupoka jujuo! Asi, naghwe ntwa ghwa Vaisilaeli, lino iike pa kikovekano, neke na jusue tumwitike.
43 He has trusted on God; he should deliver now (him *ko) if He wants Him; He said for that Of God I am [the] Son.
U mwene ikumhuviila ubNguluve, iiti Mwana ghwa Nguluve, lino nave u Nguluve amughanile, ampoke.”
44 And likewise even the robbers those having been crucified (with *no) Him were upbraiding (Him. *N+kO)
Nava vahijivabudi vanovvakomelilue palikimo nu Yesu, voope vakamuligha.
45 From then [the] sixth hour darkness was over all the land until [the] hour ninth.
Kutenguala akavalilo aka ntanda pamwisi, ing'hisi jikakupiika iisi jooni kuhanga kufika akavalilo aka budika lubale.
46 About then the ninth hour (cried out *NK+o) Jesus in a voice loud saying; (Eli Eli, *NK+o) lema sabachthani? That is: God of Mine God of Mine, so why so why Me have you forsaken?
Unsiki ughwa kavalilo aka budika lubale ndiiki u Yesu akakoola fiijo akati, Eloi, Eloi, lamacsabakitani? kwe kuuti,”Nguluve ghwango, Nguluve ghwango ongo undekile?”
47 Some then of those who there having stood listening were saying that Elijah calls this [man].
Avaanhu vamonga vano valyimile pala ye vapulike u Yesu ijova amasio aghuo vakati,”Uju ikunkemeela um'bili u Eliya.”
48 And immediately having run one of them and having taken a sponge, having filled [it] and with vinegar and having put [it] on a reed were giving to drink Him.
Unsiki ghuoghuo umuunhu jumonga mu veene akaluta luvilo akatoola ikyenda, akasuvika mu luhuje ulukali akakiviika mu lulaasi akam'besekesia u Yesubpa mulomo kuuti amiime.
49 And the rest (were saying; *NK+o) Wait! let us see whether comes Elijah to then save Him. (another now having taken a spear pierced of him side and went out water and blood. *O)
Neke avange vala vakati,”Uleke kukumpeela tulole nave u Eliya ikwisa kukumpoka,”
50 And Jesus again having cried in a voice loud yielded up [His] spirit.
Pe u Yesu akakoola fiijo kange, akakunguka.
51 And behold the veil of the temple was torn from top until bottom into two, and the earth was shaken, and the rocks were split,
Nakalingi, umwenda ghuno ghulyaghavilue pavili inyumba inyimike ija Nguluve, ghukademuka pavili kuhuma kukyanya kiufika paasi. Iisi jikasukanika na manhalavue ghakabajuka.
52 and the tombs were opened, and many bodies of the having fallen asleep saints (were raised, *N+kO)
Imbiipa sikasyiluka, avimike vinga vano valyafwile vakasyuka.
53 and having gone forth out of the tombs after the resurrection of Him they entered into the holy city and appeared to many.
Pa mbele u Yesu ye asyukile, avimike avuo vakingila mu likaaja ilyimike ilya Yelusalemu, vakavoneka ku vaanhu vinga.
54 And the centurion and those with him keeping guard over Jesus having seen the earthquake and the [things that] (were happening *NK+o) feared greatly saying; Truly God’s Son was this.
Pe um'baha ghwa vasikali palikimo na vala vano valyale vikumulolellela u Yesu ye vavwene iisi jisukanika ni singi sino sikahumiile pala, vakoghopa kyongo, vakati,”Kyang'hani umuunhu uju akaale Mwana ghwa Nguluve.
55 They were now there women many from afar off looking on who followed Jesus from Galilee ministering to Him,
“Ye sivombike isi sooni, pwevalyale avakijuuva vinga vano valyimile patali padebe vilola. Avakijuuva avuo ve vano vakam'bingilile u Yesu kuhuma ku Galilaya na kukutengelela.
56 among whom was Mary Magdalene and Mary she of James and (of Joseph *N+kO) [the] mother and the mother of the sons of Zebedee.
Mu vakijuuva avuo, mwealyale uMaliya umhuma mu likaaja ilya Magidala, uMaliya ung'hina ghwa Yakovo nu Yosefu palikimo nu un'dala ghwa Sebedaayi.
57 When evening now having arrived came a man rich from Arimathea, named Joseph, who also himself (was discipled *N+KO) to Jesus.
Ye jifikile ivwilile, akiisa umuunhu jumonga ummofu, ilitavua lyake alyale ghwe Yosefu, umhuma mu likaaja ilya Alimataya. Umuunhu ujuo alyale m'bulanisivua ghwa Yesu.
58 He having gone to Pilate asked for the body of Jesus. Then Pilate commanded it to be given up (the body. *ko)
U Yosefu akaluta kwa Pilato kusuuma umfimba ghwa Yesu. U Pilato akavavuula avasikali vaake liiuuti vampeele umfimba ghula
59 And having taken the body Joseph wrapped it (in *no) a linen cloth clean

60 and placed it in the new of him tomb which he had cut in the rock, and having rolled a stone great to the door of the tomb he went away.
Pe akaghuviika mu mbiipa jaake imia jino alyabughwile mu linhalavue, akabilukisia ilivue ilikome pa mulyango ghwa mbiipa akavuka iluta.
61 Was now there Mary Magdalene and the other Mary sitting opposite the tomb.
Unsiki ughuo u Maliya umhuma mu likaaja ilya Magidala nu Maliya ujunge valikalile pala valungiime ku mbiipa.
62 on the And next day which is after the Preparation, were gathered together the chief priests and the Pharisees before Pilate
Ikighono ikya vuvili kino kyale kya sabati, avavaha va vatekesi na vafalisayi vakakong'hana kwa Pilato.
63 saying; Sir, we have remembered how that [on, e] the deceiver said while living; After three days I arise.
Pe vakam'bula vakati,”Ghwe ntwa, tukumbuka kuuti unsyangi jula ye mwumi, akajovile kuuti, Fingakile ifighono fitatu kuhuma nifua nisyuka.'
64 do command therefore to be secured the tomb until the third day, otherwise otherwise having come the disciples of Him (night *K) may steal away him and they may say to the people; He is risen from the dead. And will be the last deception worse than the first.
Lino, tusuuma avavuule avasikali vaako valolelelaghe imbiipa kuhanga ikighono ikya vutatu, tungaleke kuvomba ulu, avavulanisivua vaake ndepoonu viluta kuhiija um'bili ghwake neke vavasyange avaanhu kuuti asyukile. Nave luvembeke uluo, uvudesi uvuo vuuva vuviivi kukila uvwa kwanda.
65 was saying (now *k) to them Pilate; You have a guard; do go do make [it as] secure as you know [how].
U Pilato akavamula akati,”Mutoole avasikali. Mulute mulolelelaghe imbiipa ku ngufu siinu sooni.”
66 And having gone they made secure the tomb having sealed the stone with the guard.
Pepano vakaluta ku mbiipa, vakaviika ikivalilo pa livue kuuti napwengavisaghe umunhu ughwa kuvungulusia. Pe vakavaleka pala avasikali kuuti valolelelaghe.
