Matthew 26
1 And it came to pass when finished Jesus all words these, He said to the disciples of Him;
Et il arriva que quand Jésus eut achevé tous ces discours, il dit à ses Disciples:
2 You know that after two days the Passover takes place, and the Son of Man is delivered over to be crucified.
Vous savez que la [Fête de] Pâque est dans deux jours; et le Fils de l'homme va être livré pour être crucifié.
3 Then were gathered together the chief priests (and scribes *K) and the elders of the people in the courtyard of the high priest who is being named Caiaphas
Alors les principaux Sacrificateurs, et les Scribes, et les Anciens du peuple s'assemblèrent dans la salle du souverain Sacrificateur, appelé Caïphe;
4 and they plotted together in order that Jesus by guile they may seize and may kill.
Et tinrent conseil ensemble pour se saisir de Jésus par finesse, afin de le faire mourir.
5 They were saying however; Not [seize him] during the feast, that not a riot may happen among the people.
Mais ils disaient: que ce ne soit point durant la Fête, de peur qu'il ne se fasse quelque émotion parmi le peuple.
6 And of Jesus having been in Bethany in [the] house of Simon the leper
Et comme Jésus était à Béthanie, dans la maison de Simon le lépreux,
7 came to Him a woman having an alabaster flask of fragrant oil very costly and poured [it] on (the head *N+kO) when he is reclining.
Il vint à lui une femme qui avait un vase d'albâtre plein d'un parfum de grand prix, et qui le répandit sur sa tête, lorsqu'il était à table.
8 Having seen then the disciples (of him *k) became indignant saying; For what purpose [is] the waste this?
Mais ses Disciples voyant cela, en furent indignés, et dirent: à quoi sert cette perte?
9 It was possible for this (fragrant oil *K) to be sold for much and to be given to [the] poor.
Car ce parfum pouvait être vendu beaucoup, et être donné aux pauvres.
10 Having known [this] now Jesus said to them; Why trouble do you cause to the woman? A work for beautiful she did to Me myself.
Mais Jésus connaissant cela, leur dit: pourquoi donnez-vous du déplaisir à cette femme? car elle a fait une bonne action envers moi.
11 Always for the poor you have with yourselves, Me myself however not always you have.
Parce que vous aurez toujours des pauvres avec vous; mais vous ne m'aurez pas toujours.
12 In pouring for this [woman] fragrant oil this on the body of Mine for to bury Me she did [it].
Car ce qu'elle a répandu ce parfum sur mon corps, elle l'a fait pour [l'appareil de] ma sépulture.
13 Amen I say to you; wherever if shall be proclaimed gospel this in all the world, will be spoken of also that which did this [woman] for a memorial of her.
En vérité je vous dis, que dans tous les endroits du monde où cet Evangile sera prêché, ce qu'elle a fait sera aussi récité en mémoire d'elle.
14 Then having gone one of the Twelve, the [one] being named Judas Iscariot, to the chief priests
Alors l'un des douze, appelé Judas Iscariot, s'en alla vers les principaux Sacrificateurs,
15 he said; What are you willing me to give, and I myself and I myself to you will betray Him? And they appointed to him thirty pieces of silver.
Et leur dit: que me voulez-vous donner, et je vous le livrerai? Et ils lui comptèrent trente pièces d'argent.
16 And from that time he was seeking an opportunity that Him he may betray.
Et dès lors il cherchait une occasion pour le livrer.
17 On the now first [day] of the unleavened [bread] came the disciples to Jesus saying (to him: *k) Where wish you [that] (we may prepare *NK+o) for You to eat the Passover?
Or le premier jour des pains sans levain, les Disciples vinrent à Jésus, en lui disant: où veux-tu que nous t'apprêtions à manger la Pâque?
18 And He said; do go into the city unto a certain man and do tell him: the Teacher says; The time for Me near is, with you I keep the Passover with the disciples of Mine.’
Et il répondit: allez à la ville vers un tel, et dites-lui: le Maître dit: mon temps est proche; je ferai la Pâque chez toi avec mes Disciples.
19 And did the disciples as directed them Jesus, and prepared the Passover.
Et les Disciples firent comme Jésus leur avait ordonné, et préparèrent la Pâque.
20 As evening now having arrived He was reclining with the twelve (disciples. *O)
Or quand le soir fut venu, il se mit à table avec les douze.
21 And when were eating they He said; Amen I say to you that one of you will betray Me.
Et comme ils mangeaient, il [leur] dit: en vérité je vous dis, que l'un de vous me trahira.
22 And being grieved exceedingly they began to say to Him one each (of them: *k) surely not ever I myself is it, Lord?
Et ils en furent fort attristés, et chacun d'eux commença à lui dire: Seigneur, est-ce moi?
23 And answering He said; The [one] having dipped with Me the hand in the dish he Me will betray.
Mais il leur répondit, et dit: celui qui met sa main au plat pour tremper avec moi, c'est celui qui me trahira.
24 Indeed the Son of Man goes even as it has been written about Him, woe however for the man that [one] through whom the Son of Man is betrayed; Better was being for him if not was born the man that.
Or le Fils de l'homme s'en va, selon qu'il est écrit de lui; mais malheur à cet homme par qui le Fils de l'homme est trahi; il eût été bon à cet homme-là de n'être point né.
25 Answering now Judas who is betraying Him said; surely not ever I myself is it, Rabbi? He says to him; You yourself have said.
Et Judas qui le trahissait, répondant dit: Maître, est-ce moi? [Jésus] lui dit: tu l'as dit.
26 When were eating now they having taken Jesus bread and (having blessed *NK+O) broke [it], and (giving *N+kO) to the disciples (and *k) He said; do take do eat; this is the body of Me.
Et comme ils mangeaient, Jésus prit le pain, et après qu'il eut béni Dieu, il le rompit et le donna à ses Disciples, et leur dit: prenez, mangez; ceci est mon corps.
27 And having taken a cup and having given thanks He gave [it] to them saying; do drink of it all of you;
Puis ayant pris la coupe, et béni Dieu, il la leur donna, en leur disant: buvez-en tous.
28 This for is the blood of Mine of the (of a new *KO) covenant for many being poured out for forgiveness of sins.
Car ceci est mon sang, le [sang] du Nouveau Testament, qui est répandu pour plusieurs en rémission des péchés.
29 I say now to you (that: *k) certainly not shall I drink from now of this the (fruit *N+kO) of the vine until the day that when it I may drink with you anew in the kingdom of the Father of Mine.
Or je vous dis: que depuis cette heure je ne boirai point de ce fruit de vigne, jusqu'au jour que je le boirai nouveau avec vous, dans le Royaume de mon Père.
30 And having sung a hymn they went out to the Mount of Olives.
Et quand ils eurent chanté le Cantique, ils s'en allèrent à la montagne des oliviers.
31 Then says to them Jesus; All you yourselves will fall away because of Me myself during night this; It has been written for: I will strike the shepherd, and (they will be scattered *N+kO) the sheep of the flock.’
Alors Jésus leur dit: vous serez tous cette nuit scandalisés à cause de moi; car il est écrit: je frapperai le Berger, et les brebis du troupeau seront dispersées.
32 After however to raise Me I will go before you into Galilee.
Mais après que je serai ressuscité, j'irai devant vous en Galilée.
33 Answering now Peter said to Him; If (even *k) all will fall away because of You, I myself (but *k) never will fall away.
Et Pierre prenant la parole, lui dit: quand même tous seraient scandalisés à cause de toi, je ne le serai jamais.
34 was saying to him Jesus; Amen I say to you that during this night before [the] rooster crowing three times you will deny Me.
Jésus lui dit: en vérité je te dis, qu'en cette même nuit, avant que le coq ait chanté, tu me renieras trois fois.
35 Says to Him Peter; Even if Even if it shall be necessary for me with You to die, certainly not You (I will deny. *NK+o) Likewise (now *o) also all the disciples said.
Pierre lui dit: quand même il me faudrait mourir avec toi, je ne te renierai point; et tous les Disciples dirent la même chose.
36 Then comes with them Jesus to a place being named Gethsemane and He says to the disciples; do sit here until that having gone away over there I may pray.
Alors Jésus s'en vint avec eux en un lieu appelé Gethsémané; et il dit à ses Disciples: asseyez-vous ici, jusques à ce que j'aie prié dans le lieu où je vais.
37 And having taken with [Him] Peter and the two sons of Zebedee He began to be sorrowful and to be deeply distressed.
Et il prit avec lui Pierre et les deux fils de Zébédée, et il commença à être attristé et fort angoissé.
38 Then He says to them (Jesus: *O) Very sorrowful is the soul of Mine until death; do remain here and do watch with Me.
Alors il leur dit: mon âme est de toutes parts saisie de tristesse jusques à la mort; demeurez ici, et veillez avec moi.
39 And (having gone forward *NK+o) a little He fell upon face of Him praying and saying; Father of Mine, if possible it is, should pass from Me cup this; Nevertheless not [it is] as I myself wish but as You.
Puis s'en allant un peu plus avant, il se prosterna le visage contre terre, priant, et disant: mon Père, s'il est possible, fais que cette coupe passe loin de moi; toutefois non point comme je le veux, mais comme tu le veux.
40 And He comes to the disciples and finds them sleeping And He says to Peter; Thus not were you able one hour to watch with Me?
Puis il vint à ses Disciples, et les trouva dormants, et il dit à Pierre: est-il possible que vous n'ayez pu veiller une heure avec moi?
41 do watch and do pray that not you may enter into temptation. The indeed spirit [is] willing however the flesh weak.
Veillez, et priez que vous n'entriez point en tentation: car l'esprit est prompt, mais la chair est faible.
42 Again for a second time having gone away He prayed saying; Father of Mine, if not is possible this (cup *K) to pass (from Me *k) only unless it I shall drink, [then] should be [done] the will of You.
Il s'en alla encore pour la seconde fois, et il pria, disant: mon Père, s'il n'est pas possible que cette coupe passe loin de moi, sans que je la boive; que ta volonté soit faite.
43 And having come again (He found *N+kO) them sleeping; were for of them the eyes wearied.
Il revint ensuite, et les trouva encore dormants; car leurs yeux étaient appesantis.
44 And having left them again having gone away He prayed for [the] third time the same thing having said (again. *no)
Et les ayant laissés, il s'en alla encore, et pria pour la troisième fois, disant les mêmes paroles.
45 Then He comes to the disciples (of him *k) and says to them; Sleep later on and take your rest; Behold has drawn near the hour, and the Son of Man is betrayed into [the] hands of sinners.
Alors il vint à ses Disciples, et leur dit: Dormez dorénavant, et vous reposez; voici, l'heure est proche, et le Fils de l'homme va être livré entre les mains des méchants.
46 do rise up let us go; Behold he has drawn near who is betraying Me!
Levez-vous, allons, voici, celui qui me trahit s'approche.
47 And yet when he is speaking behold Judas one of the Twelve came, and with him a crowd great with swords and clubs from the chief priests and elders of the people.
Et comme il parlait encore, voici, Judas, l'un des douze, vint, et avec lui une grande troupe, avec des épées et des bâtons, envoyés de la part des principaux Sacrificateurs, et des Anciens du peuple.
48 The [one] then betraying Him gave to them a sign saying; Whomever maybe I may kiss, He himself it is; do seize Him.
Or celui qui le trahissait leur avait donné un signal, disant: celui que je baiserai, c'est lui, saisissez-le.
49 And immediately having come up to Jesus he said; Greetings Rabbi, and kissed Him.
Et aussitôt s'approchant de Jésus, il lui dit: Maître, je te salue; et il le baisa.
50 And Jesus said to him; Friend, [do] for (what *N+kO) you are come. Then having come to [him] they laid hands on Jesus and seized Him.
Et Jésus lui dit: mon ami, pour quel sujet es-tu ici? Alors s'étant approchés, ils mirent les mains sur Jésus, et le saisirent.
51 And behold one of those with Jesus having stretched out the hand drew the sword of him, and having struck the servant of the high priest cut off of him the ear.
Et voici, l'un de ceux qui étaient avec Jésus, portant la main sur son épée, la tira, et en frappa le serviteur du souverain Sacrificateur, et lui emporta l'oreille.
52 Then says to him Jesus; do return the sword of you into the place of it; all for those having taken [the] sword by [the] sword (will perish. *NK+o)
Alors Jésus lui dit: Remets ton épée en son lieu; car tous ceux qui auront pris l'épée, périront par l'épée.
53 Or think you that not I am able to call upon the Father of Mine, and He will furnish to Me presently (more *N+kO) (than *k) twelve (legions *N+kO) of angels?
Crois-tu que je ne puisse pas maintenant prier mon Père, qui me donnerait présentement plus de douze Légions d'Anges?
54 How then may be fulfilled the Scriptures that so it must be being?
Mais comment seraient accomplies les Ecritures qui disent qu'il faut que cela arrive ainsi.
55 In that [very] hour said Jesus to the crowds; As against a robber did you come out with swords and clubs to capture Me? Every day (to you *KO) in the temple I was sitting teaching and not you did seize Me.
En ce même instant Jésus dit aux troupes: vous êtes sortis avec des épées et des bâtons, comme après un brigand, pour me prendre; j'étais tous les jours assis parmi vous, enseignant dans le Temple, et vous ne m'avez point saisi.
56 This then all has come to pass that may be fulfilled the Scriptures of the prophets. Then the disciples all having forsaken Him fled.
Mais tout ceci est arrivé afin que les Ecritures des Prophètes soient accomplies. Alors tous les Disciples l'abandonnèrent, et s'enfuirent.
57 Those then having seized Jesus led [Him] away to Caiaphas the high priest where the scribes and the elders were assembled.
Et ceux qui avaient pris Jésus l'amenèrent chez Caïphe, souverain Sacrificateur, chez qui les Scribes et les Anciens étaient assemblés.
58 And Peter was following Him from afar until the court of the high priest, And having entered within he was sitting with the guards to see the outcome.
Et Pierre le suivait de loin, jusques à la cour du souverain Sacrificateur, et étant entré dedans, il s'assit avec les officiers pour voir quelle en serait la fin.
59 And the chief priests and (elders and *K) the Council whole were seeking false testimony against Jesus so that him (they may put to death *NK+o)
Or les principaux Sacrificateurs, et les Anciens, et tout le Conseil cherchaient de faux témoignages contre Jésus, pour le faire mourir.
60 but not any they found (and *k) of many having come forward as false witnesses (not they found. *k) Finally then having come forward two (false witnesses *k)
Mais ils n'en trouvaient point; et bien que plusieurs faux témoins fussent venus, ils n'en trouvèrent point [de propres]; mais à la fin deux faux témoins s'approchèrent,
61 they said; This [man] was saying: I am able to destroy the temple of God and in three days to rebuild it (him. *k)
Qui dirent: celui-ci a dit: je puis détruire le Temple de Dieu, et le rebâtir en trois jours.
62 And having stood up the high priest said to Him; No [thing] answer you? What these you do witness against?
Alors le souverain Sacrificateur se leva, et lui dit: ne réponds-tu rien? qu'est-ce que ceux-ci témoignent contre toi?
63 And Jesus was silent. And (answering *k) the high priest said to Him; I adjure you by God the living that us may you tell if You yourself are the Christ the Son of God.
Mais Jésus se tut. Et le souverain Sacrificateur prenant la parole, lui dit: je te somme par le Dieu vivant, de nous dire si tu es le Christ, le Fils de Dieu.
64 Says to him Jesus; You yourself have said. But I say to you; from now you will behold the Son of Man sitting at [the] right hand of Power and coming upon the clouds of heaven.
Jésus lui dit: tu l'as dit; de plus, je vous dis, que désormais vous verrez le Fils de l'homme assis à la droite de la Puissance [de Dieu], et venant sur les nuées du ciel.
65 Then the high priest tears the garments of him saying (that: *k) He has blasphemed; why any more need have we of witnesses? Behold now you have heard the blasphemy (of him. *k)
Alors le souverain Sacrificateur déchira ses vêtements, en disant: Il a blasphémé; qu'avons-nous plus affaire de témoins? Voici, vous avez ouï maintenant son blasphème; que vous en semble?
66 What you do think? And answering they said; Deserving of death He is.
Ils répondirent: il est digne de mort.
67 Then they spat in the face of Him and struck Him. Others then slapped [Him]
Alors ils lui crachèrent au visage, et les uns lui donnaient des soufflets, et les autres le frappaient de leurs verges;
68 saying; do prophesy to us, Christ, who is the [one] having struck You?
En lui disant: Christ, prophétise-nous qui est celui qui t'a frappé.
69 And Peter was sitting outside in the court. and came to him one servant girl saying; Also You yourself were with Jesus the Galilean.
Or Pierre était assis dehors dans la cour, et une servante s'approcha de lui, et lui dit: tu étais aussi avec Jésus le Galiléen.
70 And he denied before (them *k) all saying; Not I know what you say.
Mais il le nia devant tous, en disant: je ne sais ce que tu dis.
71 Having gone out then (him *k) to the porch saw him another [servant girl] and she says (to those *NK+o) there; (and *ko) This [man] was with Jesus of Nazareth.
Et comme il était sorti dans le vestibule, une autre servante le vit, et elle dit à ceux qui étaient là: celui-ci aussi était avec Jésus le Nazarien.
72 And again he denied with an oath that Not I know the man.
Et il le nia encore avec serment, disant: je ne connais point cet homme.
73 After a little while also having come to [him] those having stood they said to Peter; Surely also you yourself of them are; even for the speech of you away you gives.
Et un peu après, ceux qui se trouvaient là s'approchèrent, et dirent à Pierre: certainement tu es aussi de ces gens-là, car ton langage te donne à connaître.
74 Then he began to curse and to swear that Not I know the man! And immediately a rooster crowed.
Alors il commença à faire des imprécations, et à jurer, [en disant]: je ne connais point cet homme; et aussitôt le coq chanta.
75 And remembered Peter the declaration of Jesus having said (to him *k) that Before [the] rooster crowing three times you will deny Me, And having gone out he wept bitterly.
Et Pierre se souvint de la parole de Jésus, qui lui avait dit: avant que le coq ait chanté, tu me renieras trois fois: et étant sorti dehors, il pleura amèrement.
