Matthew 22
1 And answering Jesus again spoke in parables to them saying;
੧ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਫਿਰ ਦ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਟਾਂਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ,
2 Has become like the kingdom of the heavens to a man a king who made a wedding feast for the son of him.
੨ਸਵਰਗ ਰਾਜ ਕਿਸੇ ਰਾਜੇ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕੀਤਾ।
3 And he sent the servants of him to call those invited to the wedding feast, and not they were willing to come.
੩ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਦਣ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਆਉਣ ਲਈ ਤਿਆਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਏ।
4 Again he sent other servants saying; do say to those invited; Behold the dinner of mine (I have prepared, *N+kO) the oxen of Mine and the fatlings killed, and all things [are] ready; come to the wedding feast.
੪ਫਿਰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਹੋਰਨਾਂ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਜੋ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖੋ ਕਿ ਵੇਖੋ ਮੈਂ ਭੋਜਨ ਤਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਬੈਲ ਤੇ ਮੋਟੇ-ਮੋਟੇ ਜਾਨਵਰ ਵੱਢੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ। ਤੁਸੀਂ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਓ।
5 And having paid no attention they went away, (that [one] *N+kO) indeed to [his] own field, (that [one] *N+kO) however (to *N+kO) the business of him;
੫ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ, ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਖੇਤ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਣਜ-ਵਪਾਰ ਨੂੰ,
6 And the rest having laid hold of the servants of him mistreated and killed [them].
੬ਅਤੇ ਕਈਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਇੱਜ਼ਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
7 (and *o) (having heard *k) Now the king (that *k) was angry, and having sent the armies of him he destroyed the murderers those and the city of them he burned.
੭ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਫ਼ੌਜਾਂ ਭੇਜ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਖ਼ੂਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਫੂਕ ਸੁੱਟਿਆ।
8 Then he says to the servants of him; The indeed wedding feast ready is, those however invited not were worthy.
੮ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਵਿਆਹ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਨ ਤਾਂ ਤਿਆਰ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਯੋਗ ਨਹੀਂ ਹਨ।
9 do go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as (if *N+kO) you shall find, do invite to the wedding feast.
੯ਸੋ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਚੌਕਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਦ ਲਿਆਓ।
10 And having gone out the servants those into the highways they brought together all (as many as *N+kO) they found, evil both and good; and became full the (wedding hall *NK+O) of those reclining.
੧੦ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੌਕਰ ਰਸਤਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਾਹਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੁਰੇ ਭਲੇ ਜਿੰਨੇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਾਲਾ ਘਰ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਭਰ ਗਿਆ।
11 Having entered in then the king to see those reclining he saw there a man not being dressed himself in clothes of wedding
੧੧ਪਰ ਜਦ ਰਾਜਾ ਮਹਿਮਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਇਆ ਤਦ ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹਿਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ।
12 and he says to him; Friend, how did you enter here not having garment of wedding? And he was speechless.
੧੨ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਭਾਈ, ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਵਿਆਹ ਵਾਲੇ ਕੱਪੜਿਆਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਅੰਦਰ ਆਇਆ? ਪਰ ਉਹ ਚੁੱਪ ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ।
13 Then the king said to the servants; Having bound his feet and hands (do take and *KO) do cast out him into the darkness outer; there will be the weeping and the gnashing of the teeth.
੧੩ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਾਹਰ ਦੇ ਅੰਧਕਾਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿਓ! ਉੱਥੇ ਰੋਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਚੀਚੀਆਂ ਵੱਟਣਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
14 Many for are called, few however chosen.
੧੪ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਸੱਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਤਾਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਚੁਣੇ ਹੋਏ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ।
15 Then having gone out the Pharisees counsel took how Him they may trap in His words.
੧੫ਤਦ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸਾਈਏ।
16 And they send to Him the disciples of them with the Herodians (saying; *NK+o) Teacher, we know that true You are and the way of God in [the] truth You teach, and not there is care to You about no [one], not for You look on [the] appearance of men.
੧੬ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਰੋਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਣ, ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਅਸੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਸੱਚਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਨਾਲ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ।
17 do tell therefore us what You think? Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar or not?
੧੭ਸੋ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ, ਤੂੰ ਕੀ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਜੋ ਕੈਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਾ ਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਜਾਂ ਨਹੀਂ?
18 Having known however Jesus the malice of them He said; Why Me do you test, hypocrites?
੧੮ਪਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਚਲਾਕੀ ਸਮਝ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਕਪਟੀਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਰਖਦੇ ਹੋ?
19 do show Me the coin of the tribute. And they presented to Him a denarius.
੧੯ਕਰ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਕਾ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵਿਖਾਓ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਅੱਠਿਆਨੀ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਲਿਆਏ।
20 And He says to them; Of whom [is] likeness this And [of whom is] the inscription?
੨੦ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇਹ ਮੂਰਤ ਅਤੇ ਲਿਖਤ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਹੈ?
21 They say to Him; Of Caesar. Then He says to them; do give back therefore the [things] of Caesar to Caesar and the [things] of God to God.
੨੧ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀ। ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਫੇਰ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਚੀਜ਼ਾਂ ਕੈਸਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਕੈਸਰ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਨ ਉਹ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਓ।
22 And having heard they marveled, and having left Him they went away.
੨੨ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਚੱਲੇ ਗਏ।
23 On that [very] day came to Him Sadducees (those *k) saying not being a resurrection and they questioned Him
੨੩ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਸਦੂਕੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਖਦੇ ਹਨ ਜੋ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਵਾਲ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ
24 saying; Teacher, Moses said; If anyone shall die not having children, will marry the brother of him the wife of him and he will raise up offspring for the brother of him.
੨੪ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਬੇ-ਔਲਾਦ ਮਰ ਜਾਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਾਲ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਲਈ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਉਤਪੰਨ ਕਰੇ।
25 There were now among us seven brothers. and the first having married died, and not having seed he left the wife of him to the brother of him;
੨੫ਸੋ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੱਤ ਭਰਾ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੇ-ਔਲਾਦਾ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਭਰਾ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਛੱਡ ਗਿਆ।
26 Likewise also the second and the third until the seventh.
੨੬ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੂਜਾ ਵੀ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਵੀ, ਇਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਤੱਕ।
27 Finally then of all died (and *ko) the woman.
੨੭ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਔਰਤ ਵੀ ਮਰ ਗਈ।
28 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven will she be wife? All for had her.
੨੮ਉਪਰੰਤ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੱਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਬਣੀ ਸੀ?
29 Answering now Jesus said to them; You err not knowing the Scriptures nor the power of God.
੨੯ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਸਮਰੱਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ, ਇਸੇ ਲਈ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋ।
30 In for the resurrection neither do they marry nor (are given in marriage *N+kO) but like angels (of God *KO) in heaven they are.
੩੦ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਵਿਆਹ ਕਰਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਵਿਆਹੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ ਪਰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੂਤਾਂ ਵਰਗੇ ਹਨ।
31 Concerning now the resurrection of the dead surely you have read that which has been spoken to you by God saying;
੩੧ਪਰ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪੜ੍ਹਿਆ ਜੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ
32 I myself am the God of Abraham and the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob?’ Not He is the God (God *k) of [the] dead but of [the] living.
੩੨ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਅਬਰਾਹਾਮ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਇਸਹਾਕ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹਾਂ? ਉਹ ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਹੈ।
33 And having heard the crowds were astonished at the teaching of Him.
੩੩ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਹ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਹੋਏ।
34 And the Pharisees having heard that He had silenced the Sadducees were gathered together the same.
੩੪ਪਰ ਜਦ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸਦੂਕੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਦ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਥਾਂ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ।
35 And questioned [Him] one of them a lawyer testing Him (and saying: *k)
੩੫ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ਕ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਖਣ ਲਈ ਸਵਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ
36 Teacher, which commandment [is the] greatest in the law?
੩੬ਕਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ, ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਕਿਹੜਾ ਹੈ?
37 And (Jesus *k) (was saying *N+kO) to him; You will love [the] Lord the God of you with all the heart of you and with all the soul of you and with all the mind of you.’
੩੭ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਤੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ, ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੁੱਧ ਨਾਲ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ।
38 This is (the *no) great and first commandment.
੩੮ਵੱਡਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਹੁਕਮ ਇਹੋ ਹੈ।
39 [The] second also [is] like (to it: *NK+o) You will love the neighbour of you as yourself.’
੩੯ਅਤੇ ਦੂਜਾ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰ।
40 On these two commandments all the law (hangs *N+kO) and the Prophets.
੪੦ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਟਿਕੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ।
41 When were assembled now the Pharisees questioned them Jesus
੪੧ਜਿਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਸਨ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ
42 saying; What you think concerning the Christ? Of whom son is He? They say to Him; Of David.
੪੨ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਸਮਝਦੇ ਹੋ, ਉਹ ਕਿਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੈ? ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਦਾਊਦ ਦਾ।
43 He says to them; How then David in spirit does call Him Lord saying:
੪੩ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, ਫੇਰ ਦਾਊਦ ਆਤਮਾ ਦੀ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ? ਕਿ
44 Said (the *k) Lord to the Lord of me; do sit on [the] right hand of Me until when I may place the enemies of You ([as] a footstool *N+kO) for the feet of You?
੪੪ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਬੈਠ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੈਰਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਦੇਵਾਂ।
45 If therefore David calls Him Lord, how son of him is He?
੪੫ਸੋ ਜਦ ਦਾਊਦ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ?
46 And no [one] was able to answer Him a word nor dared anyone from that [very] day to question Him no longer. no longer.
੪੬ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਵਾਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਬਚਨ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਕਹਿ ਸਕਿਆ, ਨਾ ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਕਿਸੇ ਦੀ ਹਿੰਮਤ ਹੋਈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੋਈ ਪ੍ਰਸ਼ਨ ਕਰੇ।
