< Matthew 14 >

1 At that [very] time heard Herod the tetrarch the news of Jesus
Mbe, mumwanya ogwo, Herode onguhye emisago ingulu ya Yesu. Nabhabhwila abhakosi bhae,
2 and he said to the servants of him; This is John the Baptist; he himself is risen from the dead, and because of this the miraculous powers are working in him.
“Unu ni Yowana Omubhatija amasuluka okusoka mubhafuye. Kulwejo amanaga ganu galiingulu yae.”
3 For Herod having seized John he bound him and in prison (put [him] aside *N+kO) on account of Herodias the wife of Philip the brother of him.
Kulwokubha Herode aliga amugwatile Yowana amubhoele amwesele mulunyolo kwa injuno ya Herodia, omugasi wa Filipo omula wabho.
4 Were saying for John to him; Not it is lawful for you to have her.
Kulwokubha Yowana amubhwiliye ati, “Jiteile okumugega omwene kubha mugasi wae.”
5 Although wishing him to kill he feared the multitude because as a prophet him they were holding.
Herode akamwitile nawe obhayaga abhanu kulwokubha bhamulolaga Yowana kuti mulagi.
6 ([The] birthday *N+kO) now (having happened *N+kO) of Herod danced the daughter of Herodias in the midst and pleased Herod;
Nawe akatungu ko lusiku lwo kwibhulwa kwa Herode lwejile lwakinga omuyala wa Herodia abhinile agati ya bhanu namukondelesha Herode.
7 whereupon with oath he promised to her to give whatever (if *NK+o) she shall ask.
Mukusubhya alagile kwo kulaila ati kamuyana chona chona chinu alasabha.
8 And having been urged on by the mother of her; do give to me she says here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
Ejile amala okubhilwa na nyilamwene, naikati,”Nana anu mwikombe omutwe gwa Yohana Omubhatija.”
9 And (being grieved *N+kO) the king on account of (now *k) the oaths and those reclining with [him] he commanded [it] to be given.
Omukama abhee no bhusulumbae kwi sabhwa lyo muyala, nawe kulwokulaila kwae, kulwokubha abhanu bhona bhanu bhaliga bhalimwilya amwi nage alagilie ati jingene jikolekane.
10 And he having sent beheaded John in the prison.
Atumile Yowana aletwe okusoka mulunyolo.
11 And was brought the head of him on a platter and was given to the girl, and she brought [it] to the mother of her.
koleleki atemwe omutwe gwae guletwe ingulu ya lisinia ayanibhwe omuyala nasila kunyila mwene.
12 And having come the disciples of him took the (body *N+kO) and buried (it, *N+kO) and having come they told Jesus.
Mbeya abheigisibhwa bhae nibhaja okugugega omubhili nibhaja okugusika, bhejile bhamala elyo nibhaja okubhwila Yesu.
13 (and *k) Having heard (now *no) Jesus withdrew from there by boat to a secluded place apart [on his] own. And having heard [of it] the crowds followed Him on foot from the towns.
Omwene Yesu ejile ongwa ago, nesumba okusoka anu bhaliga bhali nengila mubhwato nagenda olubhala lunu lwaliga luli kasugumbaju. Omwanya ogwo ebhise bhya bhanu bhejile bhamenya anu aligaalinabho, nibhamulubha nibhalibhataga kwa magulu okusoka mumusi.
14 And having gone out (Jesus *k) He saw great a crowd and was moved with compassion toward (them *N+kO) and healed the sick of them.
Neya Yesu naja imbele yebhwe nalola echise cha bhanu. Nabhafwila chigongo nabhaosha amalwae gebhwe.
15 Evening now having come they came to Him the disciples (of him *k) saying; Desolate is this place, and the time already is gone by; do dismiss the crowds that having gone into the villages they may buy for themselves food.
Kegolo yejile yakinga, abheigisibhwa bhae nibhamujako nibhamubhwila ati,”Linu nibhala, nolusiku lwawa. “Linyalambule elikofyanya bhagende mubhijiji bhajogula ebhilyo bhyebhwe.
16 And Jesus said to them; No need they have to go away; do give to them you yourselves to eat.
Nawe Yesu nabhabhwila ati, “Bhatana bhukene bho kugenda jebhwe. Mubhayane emwe ebhilyo”
17 And they say to Him; Not we have here only except five loaves and two fish.
Nibhamubhwila ati, “Anu chili ne mikate etanu na jinswi ebhili ela.””
18 And He said; do bring to Me here them.
Yesu naikati,”Muilete kwanye.”
19 And having commanded the crowds to sit down on (the grass, *N+kO) (and *k) having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven He spoke a blessing, and having broken He gave to the disciples the loaves, and the disciples to the crowds.
Neya Yesu nalagilila echise cha bhanu bhenyanje ansi kumanyasi. Nagega emikate etanu na jinswi ebhili. Nalola ingulu mulwile, naguyana amabhando nabhega omukate nabhayana abheigisibhwa. Abheigisibhwa nibhabhayana ebhise bhya bhanu.
20 And ate all and were satisfied; and they took up that which is remaindering of the fragments, twelve hand-baskets full.
Nibhalya bhona nibheguta. Nibheya nibhakumanya ebhibhutu bhye bhilyo nibhejusha matukulu ekumi na gabhili.
21 Those then eating were men about five thousand besides women and children.
Bhanu bhaliye bhalengelelwaga bhalume bhiumbi bhitanu abhana na bhagasi bhatabhalilwe.
22 And immediately He compelled (Jesus *k) the disciples (of him *k) to climb into the boat and to go before Him to the other side until that He may have dismissed the crowds.
Ao nao nabhalagilila abheigisibhwa bhae bhengile mubhwato, omwanya ogwo omwene nalaga ebhise bhya bhanu bhagende jebhwe.
23 And having dismissed the crowds He went up on the mountain on [his] own to pray. Evening now having arrived alone He was there.
Ejile amala okulaga ebhise bya bhanu okugenda jebhwe, nalinya ingulu ye chima okusabhwa wenyele. Omwanya gwejile gwakinga kegolo aliga achaliyo wenyele.
24 And the boat now (stadia many *NO) (from *N+KO) of the (land was fully *N+KO) being tossed by the waves; was for contrary [was] the wind.
Nawe obhwato anu bhaliga bhwakingile agati yo bhusibha nibhuingila ingila kulwamakonjo, kulwokubha omuyaga gwaliga gulibhutwe.
25 In [the] fourth now watch of the night (he came *N+KO) to them (Jesus *k) walking on (the sea. *N+kO)
Mumwanya gwa mungeta mubhwile bhukulu, Yesu nabhafogelela, nalibhataga ingulu ya manji.
26 (and *N+kO) the disciples having seen Him on (the sea *N+kO) walking they were troubled saying that A ghost it is! And in fear they cried out.
Omwanya gunu abheigisibhwa bhae bhejile bhamulola nalibhataga kumanji, nibhobhaya nibhaikati, “Nibhyalo,” nibhasekana kwo bhulaka bhwo bhubha.
27 Immediately now spoke Jesus to them saying; Take courage! I myself it is, not do fear.
Yesu nabhabhwila ati, “Musige kufwa mwoyo! nanye! musige kubhaya.”
28 Answering now to Him Peter said: Lord, if You yourself [it] is, do command me to come to You upon the waters.
Petelo namusubhya naikati, “Ratabhugenyi labha nawe, mbhwila nije kwawe ingulu ya manji.”
29 And He said; do come. And having descended from the boat Peter walked upon the water (and *no) (came *N+kO) to Jesus.
Yesu naikati, “I ja.” Kulwejo Petelo natuka mubhwato nalibhataga ingulu ya manji okuja ku Yesu.
30 Seeing now the wind charging he was afraid, and having begun to sink he cried out saying; Lord, do save me!
Nawe Petelo ejile alola amakonjo, nobhaya, namba okutubhila, ansi, nabhilikila kwo bhulaka naikati, Ratabhugenyi, nchungula!”
31 Immediately now Jesus having stretched out the hand took hold of him and He says to him; [You] of little faith, of why did you doubt?
Bhwangu Yesu nagolola okubhoko kwae namugwata Petelo, namubhwila ati, “Awe owelikisha etilu, kulwaki wabhanokwitimata?”
32 And (when were climbing *N+kO) they into the boat ceased the wind.
Niwo Yesu na Petelo nibhengila mubhwato, omuyaga niguwayo okuyemba.
33 Those then in the boat (having come *ko) worshiped Him saying; Truly of God Son You are!
Abheigisibhwa mubhwato nibhamulamya Yesu nibhaikati,”Chimali awe uli Mwana wa Nyamuanga.”
34 And having crossed over they came (into *NK+o) the land (of *no) Gennesaret.
Bhejile bhamala okwambuka, nibhakinga muchalo cha Genesareti.
35 And having recognized Him the men of the place that one sent to all surrounding region that and brought to Him all those sick being
Abhanu mulubhala olwo bhejile bhamumenya Yesu, nibhatuma emisango bhuli lubhala lunu luli kumbali, nibhaleta bhuli unu aliga ali mwasibhwa.
36 and they were begging Him that only they may touch the fringe of the garment of Him; and as many as touched were cured.
Nibhamulembeleja koleleki bhakunyeko lipindo lyo mwenda gwae, nabhamfu bhanu bhalikutula bheuliye.
