Matthew 14
1 At that [very] time heard Herod the tetrarch the news of Jesus
Abban az időben Heródes negyedes fejedelem meghallotta Jézus hírét,
2 and he said to the servants of him; This is John the Baptist; he himself is risen from the dead, and because of this the miraculous powers are working in him.
és ezt mondta szolgáinak: „Ez Keresztelő János: ő támadt fel a halálból, és ezért működnek benne az erők.“
3 For Herod having seized John he bound him and in prison (put [him] aside *N+kO) on account of Herodias the wife of Philip the brother of him.
Mert Heródes elfogatta Jánost, és megkötözve tömlöcbe vettette Heródiás kedvéért, testvérének, Fülöpnek feleségéért.
4 Were saying for John to him; Not it is lawful for you to have her.
Mert azt mondta neki János: „Nem szabad neked ővele élned.“
5 Although wishing him to kill he feared the multitude because as a prophet him they were holding.
De amikor meg akarta öletni, félt a sokaságtól, mert prófétának tartották őt.
6 ([The] birthday *N+kO) now (having happened *N+kO) of Herod danced the daughter of Herodias in the midst and pleased Herod;
Hanem amikor Heródes születésnapját ünnepelték, táncolt Heródes lánya őelőttük, és megtetszett Heródesnek.
7 whereupon with oath he promised to her to give whatever (if *NK+o) she shall ask.
Ezért esküvel fogadta, hogy amit kér, megadja neki.
8 And having been urged on by the mother of her; do give to me she says here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
A leány pedig anyja rábeszélésére ezt mondta: „Add ide nekem egy tálban Keresztelő János fejét.“
9 And (being grieved *N+kO) the king on account of (now *k) the oaths and those reclining with [him] he commanded [it] to be given.
Megszomorodott a király, de esküje és a vendégek miatt megparancsolta, hogy adják oda.
10 And he having sent beheaded John in the prison.
Elküldetett, hogy fejét vegyék Jánosnak a tömlöcben,
11 And was brought the head of him on a platter and was given to the girl, and she brought [it] to the mother of her.
elhozták a fejét egy tálban, odaadták a leánynak, ő pedig odavitte az anyjának.
12 And having come the disciples of him took the (body *N+kO) and buried (it, *N+kO) and having come they told Jesus.
Azután eljöttek tanítványai, elvitték a testet, és eltemették. Majd elmentek, és jelentették Jézusnak.
13 (and *k) Having heard (now *no) Jesus withdrew from there by boat to a secluded place apart [on his] own. And having heard [of it] the crowds followed Him on foot from the towns.
Amikor ezt meghallotta Jézus, elment onnan hajón egy puszta helyre egyedül. A sokaság ezt meghallva gyalog követte őt a városokból.
14 And having gone out (Jesus *k) He saw great a crowd and was moved with compassion toward (them *N+kO) and healed the sick of them.
Amikor kiszállt Jézus, látta a nagy sokaságot, megszánta őket, és betegeiket meggyógyította.
15 Evening now having come they came to Him the disciples (of him *k) saying; Desolate is this place, and the time already is gone by; do dismiss the crowds that having gone into the villages they may buy for themselves food.
Mikor pedig esteledett, odamentek hozzá tanítványai, és ezt mondták: „Puszta hely ez, és az idő már későre jár. Bocsásd el a sokaságot, hogy menjenek el a falvakba, és vegyenek maguknak eleséget.“
16 And Jesus said to them; No need they have to go away; do give to them you yourselves to eat.
Jézus pedig ezt mondta nekik: „Nem szükséges elmenniük, adjatok nekik ti enni.“
17 And they say to Him; Not we have here only except five loaves and two fish.
Azok pedig ezt mondták neki: „Nincsen itt csupán öt kenyerünk és két halunk.“
18 And He said; do bring to Me here them.
Ő pedig ezt mondta: „Hozzátok ide hozzám.“
19 And having commanded the crowds to sit down on (the grass, *N+kO) (and *k) having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven He spoke a blessing, and having broken He gave to the disciples the loaves, and the disciples to the crowds.
Akkor megparancsolta a sokaságnak, hogy üljenek le a fűre, vette az öt kenyeret és a két halat, szemeit az égre emelte, hálát adott, megszegte a kenyereket, a tanítványoknak adta, a tanítványok pedig a sokaságnak.
20 And ate all and were satisfied; and they took up that which is remaindering of the fragments, twelve hand-baskets full.
Mindnyájan ettek és jóllaktak, felszedték a maradék darabokat, tizenkét teli kosárral.
21 Those then eating were men about five thousand besides women and children.
Akik pedig ettek, mintegy ötezren voltak férfiak, asszonyokon és gyermekeken kívül.
22 And immediately He compelled (Jesus *k) the disciples (of him *k) to climb into the boat and to go before Him to the other side until that He may have dismissed the crowds.
Mindjárt ezután Jézus kényszerítette tanítványait, hogy szálljanak be a hajóba, és menjenek át a túlsó partra, míg ő elbocsátja a sokaságot.
23 And having dismissed the crowds He went up on the mountain on [his] own to pray. Evening now having arrived alone He was there.
És amint elbocsátotta a sokaságot, felment a hegyre magányosan imádkozni. Mikor pedig beesteledett, egyedül volt ott.
24 And the boat now (stadia many *NO) (from *N+KO) of the (land was fully *N+KO) being tossed by the waves; was for contrary [was] the wind.
A hajó pedig ekkor már a tenger közepén volt, a haboktól háborgattatva, mert a szél szembe fújt.
25 In [the] fourth now watch of the night (he came *N+KO) to them (Jesus *k) walking on (the sea. *N+kO)
Az éjszaka negyedik részében hozzájuk ment Jézus a tengeren járva.
26 (and *N+kO) the disciples having seen Him on (the sea *N+kO) walking they were troubled saying that A ghost it is! And in fear they cried out.
Amikor látták a tanítványok, hogy a tengeren jár, megrémültek, és azt mondták, hogy kísértet, és félelmükben kiáltoztak.
27 Immediately now spoke Jesus to them saying; Take courage! I myself it is, not do fear.
Jézus azonnal hozzájuk szólt, és ezt mondta: „Bízzatok, én vagyok, ne féljetek!“
28 Answering now to Him Peter said: Lord, if You yourself [it] is, do command me to come to You upon the waters.
Péter ekkor így felelt neki: „Uram, ha te vagy, parancsold meg, hogy hozzád mehessek a vízen.“
29 And He said; do come. And having descended from the boat Peter walked upon the water (and *no) (came *N+kO) to Jesus.
Ő pedig ezt mondta: „Jöjj!“És Péter kiszállt a hajóból, hogy a vizeken járva Jézushoz menjen.
30 Seeing now the wind charging he was afraid, and having begun to sink he cried out saying; Lord, do save me!
De amikor látta a nagy szelet, megrémült, és amikor merülni kezdett, felkiáltott: „Uram, tarts meg engem!“
31 Immediately now Jesus having stretched out the hand took hold of him and He says to him; [You] of little faith, of why did you doubt?
Jézus pedig azonnal kinyújtotta a kezét, megragadta őt, és ezt mondta neki: „Kicsinyhitű, miért kételkedtél?“
32 And (when were climbing *N+kO) they into the boat ceased the wind.
Amikor beléptek a hajóba, elállt a szél.
33 Those then in the boat (having come *ko) worshiped Him saying; Truly of God Son You are!
A hajóban levők pedig odamentek hozzá, leborultak előtte és mondták: „Bizony, Isten Fia vagy.“
34 And having crossed over they came (into *NK+o) the land (of *no) Gennesaret.
És átkelve a tavon eljutottak Genezáret földjére.
35 And having recognized Him the men of the place that one sent to all surrounding region that and brought to Him all those sick being
Amikor megismerték őt annak a helynek lakosai, szétküldték hírét az egész környékben, és minden beteget odavittek hozzá.
36 and they were begging Him that only they may touch the fringe of the garment of Him; and as many as touched were cured.
Kérték, hogy csak ruhájának peremét érinthessék meg. Akik megérintették, mindnyájan meggyógyultak.
