< Matthew 14 >

1 At that [very] time heard Herod the tetrarch the news of Jesus
A lokacin nan ne, Hiridus mai mulki ya ji labarin Yesu.
2 and he said to the servants of him; This is John the Baptist; he himself is risen from the dead, and because of this the miraculous powers are working in him.
Ya ce wa barorinsa, “Wannan Yahaya mai baftisma ne; ya tashi daga matattu. Saboda haka wadannan ikoki na aiki a cikinsa”.
3 For Herod having seized John he bound him and in prison (put [him] aside *N+kO) on account of Herodias the wife of Philip the brother of him.
Domin Hiridus ya kama Yahaya, ya daure shi, kuma ya jefa shi a kurkuku saboda Hirudiya, matar dan'uwansa Filibus.
4 Were saying for John to him; Not it is lawful for you to have her.
Ya ce masa, “Bai kamata ka dauke ta a matsayin matarka ba.”
5 Although wishing him to kill he feared the multitude because as a prophet him they were holding.
Da Hirudus ya kashe shi, amma yana tsoron jama'a, domin sun dauke shi a matsayin annabi.
6 ([The] birthday *N+kO) now (having happened *N+kO) of Herod danced the daughter of Herodias in the midst and pleased Herod;
Amma da ranar bikin haihuwar Hirudus ta kewayo, diyar Hirudiya tayi rawa a lokacin har ta burge Hirudus.
7 whereupon with oath he promised to her to give whatever (if *NK+o) she shall ask.
Sai ya yi mata alkawari har da rantsuwa cewa ta roki komenene ta ke so, zai ba ta.
8 And having been urged on by the mother of her; do give to me she says here on a platter the head of John the Baptist.
Bayan ta amshi umurni daga wurin mahaifiyarta, ta ce, “Ka bani kan Yahaya mai baptisma a kan tire.
9 And (being grieved *N+kO) the king on account of (now *k) the oaths and those reclining with [him] he commanded [it] to be given.
Sarki ya husata da rokonta, amma domin rantsuwar da ya yi kuma domin mutanen da ke a wurin bukin tare da shi, sai ya umurta a yi haka.
10 And he having sent beheaded John in the prison.
Ya aika aka yanke kan Yahaya acikin kurkuku.
11 And was brought the head of him on a platter and was given to the girl, and she brought [it] to the mother of her.
Sai aka kawo kansa bisa tire, aka mika wa yarinyar, ta kuwa kai wa mahaifiyarta.
12 And having come the disciples of him took the (body *N+kO) and buried (it, *N+kO) and having come they told Jesus.
Sai almajiransa suka zo, su ka dauki gawar su ka je su ka yi jana'iza. Bayan haka, su ka je su ka fada wa Yesu.
13 (and *k) Having heard (now *no) Jesus withdrew from there by boat to a secluded place apart [on his] own. And having heard [of it] the crowds followed Him on foot from the towns.
Sa'adda da Yesu ya ji haka, ya fita daga cikin kwale-kwale zuwa wani kebabben wuri. Da taron suka ji haka, suka bi shi da kafa daga biranen.
14 And having gone out (Jesus *k) He saw great a crowd and was moved with compassion toward (them *N+kO) and healed the sick of them.
Sai Yesu ya zo gabansu, ya kuma ga babban taron. Ya tausaya masu ya kuwa warkar da marasa lafiya dake cikinsu.
15 Evening now having come they came to Him the disciples (of him *k) saying; Desolate is this place, and the time already is gone by; do dismiss the crowds that having gone into the villages they may buy for themselves food.
Da maraice ya yi, almajiransa su ka zo su ka ce masa, “Wannan wuri jeji ne, dare kuwa ya riga ya yi. Ka sallami taron domin su je cikin kauyukan nan, su sayo wa kansu abinci.”
16 And Jesus said to them; No need they have to go away; do give to them you yourselves to eat.
Amma Yesu ya ce masu, “Babu amfanin tafiyar su, ku basu abin da za su ci.”
17 And they say to Him; Not we have here only except five loaves and two fish.
Suka ce masa, “Muna da gurasa guda biyar da kifi biyu ne kawai.”
18 And He said; do bring to Me here them.
Yesu ya ce, “Ku kawo mani su.”
19 And having commanded the crowds to sit down on (the grass, *N+kO) (and *k) having taken the five loaves and the two fish, having looked up to heaven He spoke a blessing, and having broken He gave to the disciples the loaves, and the disciples to the crowds.
Sai Yesu ya umarci taron su zauna akan ciyawa. Ya dauki gurasa biyar da kifi biyun. Ya dubi sama, ya sa albarka ya gutsuttsura ya kuma ba almajiran. Almajiran suka ba taron.
20 And ate all and were satisfied; and they took up that which is remaindering of the fragments, twelve hand-baskets full.
Dukansu suka ci suka koshi. Sai suka dauki gutsattsarin gurasa da kifin, kwanduna goma sha biyu cike.
21 Those then eating were men about five thousand besides women and children.
Wadanda su ka ci kuwa kimanin maza dubu biyar ne, ban da mata da yara.
22 And immediately He compelled (Jesus *k) the disciples (of him *k) to climb into the boat and to go before Him to the other side until that He may have dismissed the crowds.
Nan take sai ya sa almajiran suka shiga kwale-kwalen su haye zuwa dayan gefen kafin shi, domin ya sallami taron.
23 And having dismissed the crowds He went up on the mountain on [his] own to pray. Evening now having arrived alone He was there.
Bayan ya sallami taron sun tafi, sai ya haura kan dutse domin yayi addu'a. Da dare yayi, yana can shi kadai.
24 And the boat now (stadia many *NO) (from *N+KO) of the (land was fully *N+KO) being tossed by the waves; was for contrary [was] the wind.
Amma yanzu fa kwale-kwalen na tsakiyar tekun, kuma da wuyar sarrafawa saboda rakuman ruwa da iska na gaba da su.
25 In [the] fourth now watch of the night (he came *N+KO) to them (Jesus *k) walking on (the sea. *N+kO)
Da asuba (wajen karfe uku na dare) Yesu ya nufo su yana tafiya akan teku.
26 (and *N+kO) the disciples having seen Him on (the sea *N+kO) walking they were troubled saying that A ghost it is! And in fear they cried out.
Da almajiran suka ganshi yana tafiya akan tekun, sai suka firgita suna cewa, “Fatalwa ce,” suka yi kururuwa cikin tsoro.
27 Immediately now spoke Jesus to them saying; Take courage! I myself it is, not do fear.
Amma Yesu yayi magana da su nan da nan yace, “Ku yi karfin hali! Ni ne! Kada ku ji tsoro.”
28 Answering now to Him Peter said: Lord, if You yourself [it] is, do command me to come to You upon the waters.
Bitrus ya amsa masa cewa, “Ubangiji, idan kai ne, ka umarce ni in zo wurin ka bisa ruwan.”
29 And He said; do come. And having descended from the boat Peter walked upon the water (and *no) (came *N+kO) to Jesus.
Yesu yace, “Zo” Sai Bitrus ya fita daga jirgin yana tafiya akan ruwan zuwa wurin Yesu.
30 Seeing now the wind charging he was afraid, and having begun to sink he cried out saying; Lord, do save me!
Amma da Bitrus ya ga iska, sai ya tsorata. Yayin da ya fara nutsewa, sai ya tada murya ya ce, “Ubangiji, ka cece ni!”
31 Immediately now Jesus having stretched out the hand took hold of him and He says to him; [You] of little faith, of why did you doubt?
Nan take Yesu ya mika hannunsa, ya kama Bitrus ya ce masa, “Kai mai karancin bangaskiya, meyasa ka yi shakka?”
32 And (when were climbing *N+kO) they into the boat ceased the wind.
Bayan da Yesu da Bitrus suka shiga cikin kwale-kwalen, sai iska ta daina kadawa.
33 Those then in the boat (having come *ko) worshiped Him saying; Truly of God Son You are!
Sai almajiran dake cikin kwale-kwalen su ka yi wa Yesu sujada suna cewa, “Hakika kai Dan Allah ne.”
34 And having crossed over they came (into *NK+o) the land (of *no) Gennesaret.
Da suka haye, sun iso kasar Janisarata.
35 And having recognized Him the men of the place that one sent to all surrounding region that and brought to Him all those sick being
Da mutanen wurin suka gane Yesu, sai suka aika da sako zuwa dukan yankin, kuma suka kawo masa dukan marasa lafiya.
36 and they were begging Him that only they may touch the fringe of the garment of Him; and as many as touched were cured.
Suka roke shi don su taba gezar rigarsa, kuma dukan wadanda suka taba shi sun warke.
