Luke 23
1 And having risen up all the multitude of them (they led *N+kO) Him to Pilate.
Ils se levèrent en masse, et conduisirent Jésus devant Pilate.
2 They began then to accuse Him saying; This [man] we found misleading the nation (of us *NO) and forbidding tribute to Caesar to be given (and *no) declaring Himself Christ a king to be.
Ils se mirent à l'accuser, disant: «Nous avons trouvé cet homme qui poussait notre nation à la révolte, et qui défendait de payer le tribut à César, se prétendant lui-même Messie, Roi.»
3 And Pilate (asked *N+kO) Him saying; You yourself are the King of the Jews? And answering him He was saying; You yourself say.
Pilate l'interrogea, disant: «Tu es le roi des Juifs?» — «Tu le dis, » lui répondit Jésus.
4 And Pilate said to the chief priests and the crowds; No [thing] find I guilty in man this.
Pilate dit aux principaux sacrificateurs et à la foule: «Je ne trouve rien de criminel en cet homme.»
5 But they were insisting saying that He stirs up the people teaching throughout all of Judea (and *no) He has begun from Galilee until here.
Mais ils insistèrent, disant: «Il agite le peuple, en enseignant par toute la Judée, après avoir commencé par la Galilée, et être venu jusqu'ici.»
6 Pilate now having heard (Galilee *KO) asked whether the man a Galilean is,
Pilate, entendant nommer la Galilée, demanda si cet homme était Galiléen;
7 and having learned that from the jurisdiction of Herod He is, he sent up Him to Herod being also he himself in Jerusalem in those days.
et ayant appris qu'il était de la juridiction d'Hérode, il le renvoya à Hérode, qui était aussi à Jérusalem en ces jours-là.
8 And Herod having seen Jesus [was] glad exceedingly; he was for of (long *N+kO) time wishing to see Him because of hearing (many things *K) concerning Him and he was hoping some sign to see by Him done.
Hérode eut une grande joie de voir Jésus, car depuis longtemps il en avait le désir, parce qu'il avait entendu parler de lui, et qu'il espérait le voir faire quelque miracle.
9 He was questioning then Him in words many; He himself however no [thing] answered him.
Il lui adressa un grand nombre de questions, mais Jésus ne lui répondit rien.
10 Had been standing by now the chief priests and the scribes vehemently accusing Him.
Or les principaux sacrificateurs et les scribes étaient là, qui l'accusaient avec véhémence;
11 Having set at naught then Him (also *no) Herod with the troops of him and having mocked [and] having put on (Him *ko) apparel splendid, sent back Him to Pilate.
mais Hérode avec sa garde le traita avec mépris: il le fit revêtir par dérision d'un magnifique manteau, et le renvoya à Pilate.
12 Became then friends both Herod and Pilate on that day with one another; they were formerly for at enmity they were between (them. *N+k+o)
Le jour même, Pilate et Hérode devinrent amis, d'ennemis qu'ils étaient auparavant.
13 Pilate then having called together the chief priests and the rulers and the people
Pilate, ayant assemblé les principaux sacrificateurs, les sénateurs et le peuple, leur dit:
14 said to them; You brought to me man this as misleading the people; and behold I myself before you having examined [Him] no [thing] found in man this guilty of that accusation you are bringing against Him;
«Vous avez traduit devant moi cet homme, comme excitant le peuple à la révolte, et, après l'avoir interrogé en votre présence, je ne l'ai trouvé coupable d'aucun des crimes dont vous l'accusez.
15 But not even [did] Herod; (he sent back *N+KO) for Him to (us *N+KO) And behold no [thing] worthy of death is done by Him.
Hérode non plus, car je vous ai renvoyés à lui, et, vous le voyez, cet homme n'a rien fait qui mérite la mort.
16 Having chastised therefore Him I will release [Him].
Je le relâcherai donc, après l'avoir fait châtier.»
17 (necessity *KO) (now had to release to them according to feast one. *K)
[Or il était obligé à chaque fête de leur relâcher un prisonnier]
18 (They cried out *N+kO) however all together saying; do remove this [man], do release now to us Barabbas;
Mais ils crièrent tous à la fois: «Fais-le mourir! Relâche-nous Barabbas.»
19 who was on account of insurrection a certain having been made in the city and murder (being cast into *N+kO) (the *no) (prison. *N+kO)
Ce Barabbas avait été mis en prison pour une sédition qui avait eu lieu dans la ville, et pour un meurtre.
20 Again (therefore *N+kO) Pilate called to them wishing to release Jesus.
Pilate, qui désirait relâcher Jésus, les harangua donc de nouveau;
21 But they were crying out saying; (do crucify do crucify *N+kO) Him.
mais ils répondirent par les cris de «crucifie-le! crucifie-le!»
22 And a third [time] he said to them; What for evil did commit this [man]? No [thing] worthy of death found I in Him. Having chastised therefore Him I will release [Him].
Il leur dit pour la troisième fois: «Quel mal a-t-il donc fait? Je n'ai rien trouvé en lui qui mérite la mort; je le relâcherai donc, après l'avoir fait châtier?»
23 But they were urgent with voices loud asking for Him to be crucified, And were prevailing the voices of them (and of the chief priests. *KO)
Mais ils insistèrent, demandant à grands cris qu'il fût crucifié, et leurs clameurs et celles des principaux sacrificateurs prévalurent,
24 (and *N+kO) Pilate sentenced to be done the demand of them.
et Pilate prononça que ce qu'ils demandaient serait exécuté:
25 He released then (to them *k) the [one] on account of insurrection and murder cast into prison whom they were asking for; and Jesus he delivered to the will of them.
il leur relâcha celui qui avait été mis en prison pour sédition et pour meurtre, et qu'ils réclamaient; et il leur abandonna Jésus.
26 And as they led away Him, having laid hold on (Simon a certain from Cyrene *N+kO) (who *k) (is coming *N+kO) from [the] country they put upon him the cross to carry behind Jesus.
Comme ils l'emmenaient au supplice, ils prirent un nommé Simon, de Cyrène, qui venait des champs, et ils le chargèrent de la croix, pour qu'il la portât derrière Jésus.
27 Were following now Him a great multitude of the people and of women who (also *k) were mourning and they were lamenting for Him.
Or, Jésus était suivi d'une grande foule de peuple, et particulièrement de femmes qui se frappaient la poitrine et pleuraient sur lui.
28 Having turned then to them Jesus said; Daughters of Jerusalem, not do weep for Me myself, but for yourselves do weep and for the children of you.
Il se tourna vers elles, et leur dit: «Filles de Jérusalem, ne pleurez pas sur moi, mais pleurez sur vous-mêmes et sur vos enfants;
29 For behold are coming days in which they will say; Blessed [are] the barren and (the *no) wombs that never did bear and breasts that never (they feed. *N+kO)
car les temps viennent où l’on dira: «Heureuses les stériles! Heureux le sein qui n'a point enfanté! Heureuses les mamelles qui n'ont point nourri!»
30 Then They will begin to say to the mountains; do fall upon us; and to the hills; do cover us.
Alors on se mettra à dire aux montagnes: «Tombez sur nous; » et aux collines: «Couvrez-nous; »
31 For if in the green tree these things they do, in the dry what may happen?
car si l'on fait ces choses au bois vert, que fera-t-on au bois sec?»
32 Were being led away now also other criminals two with Him to be executed.
Les soldats conduisaient en même temps deux malfaiteurs pour être mis à mort avec lui.
33 And when (they came *N+kO) to the place which is being called [The] Skull, there they crucified Him and the criminals, the one on [the] right, another and on [the] left.
Quand ils furent arrivés au lieu appelé Calvaire, ils y crucifièrent Jésus, ainsi que les malfaiteurs, l'un à sa droite, l'autre à sa gauche;
34 And Jesus was saying; Father, do forgive them; not for they know what they do. Dividing then the garments of Him they cast (lots. *NK+o)
et Jésus dit: «Père, pardonne-leur, car ils ne savent ce qu'ils font.» Ils se partagèrent ses vêtements en les tirant au sort.
35 And had stood the people beholding. Were deriding [Him] then also the rulers (with them *k) saying; Others He saved, he should save Himself if this is the Christ of God (the *no) Chosen [One].
Le peuple était là qui regardait. Les sénateurs se moquaient et disaient: «Il en a sauvé d'autres, qu'il se sauve lui-même, s'il est le Messie, l'élu de Dieu.»
36 (Mocked *N+kO) then Him also the soldiers coming near, (and *k) sour wine offering to Him
Les soldats aussi, s'approchant pour lui présenter du vinaigre, le raillaient,
37 and saying; If You yourself are the King of the Jews, do save Yourself!
et disaient: «Si tu es le roi des Juifs, sauve-toi toi-même.»
38 There was now also an inscription (written *K+o) over Him (writings in Greek and in Latin and in Hebrew; is *K) the King of the Jews This [is].
Il y avait même une inscription au-dessus de sa tête, portant: «Celui-ci est le Roi des Juifs.»
39 One now of those having been hanged criminals he was denigrating Him saying: (Surely *N+KO) you yourself are the Christ? do save Yourself and us!
L'un des malfaiteurs pendus à la croix, l'injuriait, disant: «N'es-tu pas le Messie? Sauve-toi toi-même, et nous avec toi.»
40 Answering now the other (rebuking *N+kO) him (was speaking; *N+kO) Not even do fear you yourself God that under the same judgment you are?
Mais l'autre le reprenait: «N'as-tu point de crainte de Dieu, toi qui subis le même jugement?
41 and we ourselves indeed justly, Worthy for of what we did we are receiving; [this] man however no [thing] wrong did.
Pour nous, c'est justice; car nous recevons la peine que nos crimes ont méritée; mais lui, il n'a rien fait de mal.»
42 And he was saying: Jesus, do remember me (Lord *K) when You may come (into *N+kO) (the kingdom *NK+o) of You!
Et il dit à Jésus: «Souviens-toi de moi, quand tu seras dans ton règne.»
43 And He said to him (Jesus: *ko) Amen to you I say: today with Me you will be in Paradise.
Et Jésus répondit: «Je te dis en vérité, qu'aujourd'hui même tu seras avec moi dans le paradis.»
44 (And *no) it was (now *k) (already *no) about [the] hour sixth, and darkness came over all the land until [the] hour ninth
Il était déjà environ la sixième heure, quand des ténèbres se répandirent sur tout le pays jusqu’à la neuvième heure.
45 (and *ko) (The sun darkened. *N+kO) (and *ko) was torn (then *no) the veil of the temple in [the] middle.
Le soleil pâlit; le voile du temple se déchira par le milieu;
46 And having called out in a voice loud Jesus said; Father, into [the] hands of You (I myself commit *N+kO) the Spirit of Mine. (This now *N+kO) having said He breathed His last.
et Jésus s'écria d'une voix forte: «Père, je remets mon esprit entre tes mains.» En prononçant ces mots, il expira.
47 Having seen now the centurion that having taken place (he was glorifying *N+kO) God saying; Certainly man this righteous was.
Le centurion, témoin de ces événements, donna gloire à Dieu, disant: «Assurément cet homme était juste; »
48 And all the having come together crowds to spectacle this, (having seen *N+kO) the [things] having taken place, beating (their own *k) breasts were returning [home].
et les foules que ce spectacle avait attirées, voyant ce qui s'était passé, s'en retournaient toutes en se frappant la poitrine.
49 Had stood now all those who knew (with Him *N+kO) (from *no) afar off also women those (having followed *N+kO) Him from Galilee beholding these things.
Mais tous ceux qui connaissaient Jésus, et les femmes qui l'avaient suivi de Galilée, se tenaient là, à l'écart, regardant ce qui se passait.
50 And behold a man named Joseph a Council member being (also *n) a man good and righteous;
Il y avait un sénateur, nommé Joseph, homme droit et juste,
51 he not was having consented to the counsel and to the deed of them; from Arimathea a city of the Jews, who (and *k) he was waiting for (and himself *k) the kingdom of God,
qui ne s'était associé ni au dessein, ni aux actes des autres sénateurs; il était originaire d'Arimathée. ville des Juifs, et il attendait le royaume de Dieu.
52 He having gone to Pilate asked [for] the body of Jesus.
Il se rendit auprès de Pilate et lui demanda le corps de Jésus.
53 And having taken down (it *k) he wrapped it in a linen cloth and placed (it *N+kO) in a tomb cut in a rock in which no were no [one] (not yet *N+kO) laid.
Il le descendit de la croix, l'enveloppa d'un linceul, et le déposa dans un sépulcre taillé dans le roc, où personne n'avait encore été mis.
54 And [the] Day it was (of Preparation, *NK+o) and Sabbath was just beginning.
C'était le jour de la préparation, et le sabbat allait commencer.
55 Having followed then (and *k) (the *no) women who were having come from Galilee with Him saw the tomb and how was laid the body of Him.
Les femmes qui étaient venues de la Galilée avec Jésus, ayant accompagné Joseph, virent le sépulcre et la manière dont le corps de Jésus y fut placé,
56 Having returned then they prepared spices and anointing oils And on the indeed Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.
puis, s'en étant retournées, elles préparèrent des aromates et des parfums.
