< Luke 18 >

1 He was speaking then (and *ko) a parable to them about it needing always to pray (they *no) and not to lose heart
A LAILA ao mai la oia ia lakou ma ka olelonane, he pono ke pule mau, aole e hoonawauwali.
2 saying; A judge certain there was in a certain city God not fearing and man not respecting.
I mai la ia, Ma kekahi kulanakauhale he lunakanawai, aole ia i makau i ke Akua, aole hoi i manao i kanaka.
3 A widow then there was in the city that and she was coming to him saying; do avenge me of the adversary of mine.
A ma kela kulanakauhale kekahi wahinekanemake; a hele mai la ia io na la, i mai la, E hoopono mai oe ia'u i ko'u enemi.
4 And not (he was desiring [to do] *N+kO) for a time. afterward however he said within himself; If even God not I fear (nor *N+kO) man respect,
Aole ae la hoi ia i makemake ia manawa; a mahope iho, i iho la oia iloko ona, Aole o'u makau i ke Akua, aole o'u manao i kanaka;
5 because yet it occasioning me trouble widow this I will avenge her, so that not to end coming she may exhaust me.
Aka hoi, no ko noi nui ana mai o keia wahinekanemake ia'u, e hoopono aku au ia ia nei, o hooluhi mai ia ia'u i kona hele pinepine ana mai.
6 Said then the Lord; do hear what the judge unrighteous says;
I mai la hoi ka Haku, E lohe oukou i ka mea a ka lunakanawai pono ole i olelo mai ai.
7 And God certainly not (may do *N+kO) the avenging of the elect of Him the [ones] crying out (to *k) (to Him *N+kO) day and night, and (be patient *N+kO) in regard to them?
A o ke Akua hoi, aole anei ia e hoopono mai i kona poe i waeia, ka poe kahea ia ia i ke ao a me ka po, me ka ahanui hoi ia lakou?
8 I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them with speed. Nevertheless the Son of Man having come surely not will He find faith on the earth?
Ke hai aku nei au ia oukou, e hoopono koke mai no oia ia lakou. Aka hoi, i ka hiki ana mai o ke Keiki a ke kanaka, e ike anei oia ma ka honua ia manaoio?
9 He spoke now also to some having trusted in themselves that they are righteous and (despising *NK+o) the others parable this.
Alaila olelo mai la oia i keia olelonane i kekahi poe i manao ia lakou iho he maikai, a hoowahawaha aku ia hai.
10 Men two went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
Hele ae la na kanaka elua i ka luakini e pule; he Parisaio kekahi, a he lunaauhau kekahi.
11 The Pharisee having stood toward himself these things was praying; O God, I thank You that not I am (like *NK+o) the rest of the men — swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers — or even like this tax collector.
Ku aku la ka Parisaio oia iho no, a pule aku la penei, E ke Akua, ke aloha aku nei au ia oe, no ka mea, aole au e like me na kanaka e, ka poe hookaha, ka poe pono ole, ka poe moe kolohe, aole hoi me keia lunaauhau.
12 I fast twice in the week, I tithe all things as much as I gain.
Elua ko'u hookeai ana i ka hebedoma hookahi, ua haawi hoi au i ka hapaumi o ko'u waiwai a pau.
13 (and *ko) (but *no) the tax collector afar off having stood not was willing not even the eyes to lift up to heaven but was striking (into *k) the breast (of him *NK+o) saying: O God, do be merciful to me to the sinner!
A o ka lunaauhau hoi, ku mamao aku la ia, aole hoi i leha iki kona mau maka i ka lani, aka, papai iho la ia ma kona umauma iho, i aku la, E ke Akua, e aloha mai oe ia'u i ka mea i hewa.
14 I say to you; went down this one justified to the house of him (rather than *k) (compared with *n+o) (that [one]. *N+kO) For everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, the [one] however humbling himself will be exalted.
Ke hai aku nei au ia oukou, Oia ka mea i iho i kona hale me ka hoaponoia, aole kela: no ka mea, o ka mea i hookiekie ae ia ia iho, oia ke hoohaahaaia; a o ka mea i hoohaahaa ia ia iho, oia ke hookiekieia'e.
15 They were bringing then to Him also the infants that them He may touch; having seen however the disciples (were rebuking *N+kO) them.
Alaila lawe ae la lakou i na kamalii uuku ia ia e hoopa oia ia lakou; a ike ka poe haumana, papa aku la lakou ia lakou la.
16 But Jesus (called *N+kO) them (speaking; *N+kO) do permit the little children to come to Me and not do forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
Aka, kahea mai la Iesu ia lakou e hele mat, i mai la, E ae aka i na kamalii e hele mai io'a net, mai hoole aka ia lakou; no ka mea, no ka poe me neia ke aupuni o ke Akua.
17 Amen I say to you; who[ever] (maybe *N+kO) not shall receive the kingdom of God as a child, certainly not shall enter into it.
He oiaio ka'u e olelo aka nei ia oukou, O ka mea aole i hoolauna i ke aupuni o ke Akua me he keiki uuku la, aole loa oia e komo ilaila.
18 And asked a certain Him ruler saying; Teacher good, what having done life eternal will I inherit? (aiōnios g166)
Alaila ninau aka la kekahi alii ia ia, E ke Kumu maikai, heaha ka'u e hana'i i loaa mai ai ia'u ke ola pau ole. (aiōnios g166)
19 Said then to him Jesus; Why Me you call good? No [one is] good only except one God.
A i mai la o Iesu ia ia, No ke aha la oe i kapa mai ai ia'u he maikai? Hookahi wale no mea maikai, o ke Akua.
20 The commandments You know: Not shall you commit adultery, not shall you murder, not shall you steal, not shall you bear false witness, do honor the father of you and the mother (of you. *k)
Ua ike hoi oe i na kanawai; Mai moe kolohe oe; Mai pepehi kanaka oe; Mai aihue oe; Mai hoike wahahee oe; E malama i kou makuakane a me kou makuwahine.
21 And he said; These all (I kept *N+kO) from [the] youth (of mine. *ko)
A i aku la oia, Ua malama au i keia mau mea a pau mai kuu wa kamalii mai.
22 Having heard then (these things *k) Jesus said to him; Yet one thing to you is lacking: All as much as you have do sell and do distribute to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in (the *no) (heavens; *N+kO) and come, do follow Me.
A lohe ae la o Iesu ia, i mai la oia ia ia, Hookahi au mea hemahema; e kuai lilo aku i kou waiwai a pau, a e haawi i ka poe ilihune, a e loaa ia oe ka waiwai ma ka lani; alaila e hele mai a hahai mai ia'u.
23 And having heard these things very sorrowful (he became; *N+kO) he was for rich extremely.
A lohe ae la oia ia mea, minamina loa iho la ia; no ka mea, he nui loa kona waiwai.
24 Having seen then him Jesus sorrowful became saying; How difficult [for] those riches having [when] into the kingdom of God (they enter. *N+kO)
Ike ae la hoi Iesu i kona minamina loa ana, i mai la ia Ane hiki ole i ka poe waiwai ke komo iloko o ke aupuni o ke Akua?
25 Easier for it is a camel through (an eye of a needle *N+kO) to go than a rich man into the kingdom of God to enter.
E hiki i ke kamelo ke komo e i ka puka o ke kuikele mamua o ke komo ana o ke kanaka waiwai iloko o ke aupuni o ke Akua.
26 Said then those having heard; Then who is able to be saved?
I iho la hoi ka poe e lohe ana, E hiki hoi ia wai la ke hoolaia?
27 But He said; The [things] impossible with men possible with God are.
I mai la hoi Iesu, O na mea hiki ole i kanaka, e hiki no ia i ke Akua.
28 Said then Peter; Behold we ourselves (having abandoned *N+kO) ([our] own [things] *N+kO) (and *k) followed You.
Alaila i aku la o Petero, Eia hoi, oa haalele makou i na mea a pau, a oa hahai aka ia oe.
29 And He said to them; Amen I say to you that no [one] there is who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
I mai la hoi oia ia lakou, He oiaio ka'u a olelo aku nei ia oukou, O ka mea i haalele i ka hale, a me na makua, a me na hoahanau, a me ka wahine, a me na keiki no ke aupuni o ke Akua,
30 who (certainly *N+kO) nothing (may receive back *NK+o) manifold more in time this — and in the age which is coming life eternal. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
E loaa hou no ia ia he nui wale i keia ao, a me ke ola pau ole i kela ao aku. (aiōn g165, aiōnios g166)
31 Having taken aside then the Twelve He said to them; Behold we go up to (Jerusalem, *N+kO) and will be accomplished all things which written through the prophets about the Son of Man;
A lawe ae la oia i ka umikumamalua, i mai la ia lakou, Eia hoi, e pii ana kakou i Ierusalema, a e hookoia na mea a pau i kakauia e ka poe kaula no ke Keiki a ke kanaka.
32 He will be betrayed for to the Gentiles and will be mocked and will be insulted and will be spit upon,
No ka mea, e haawiia'ku oia i kanaka e, a e hoomaewaewaia mai, a e hoomaauia mai, a e kuhaia mai hoi:
33 And having flogged [Him] they will kill Him, and on the day third He will rise again.
A e hahau mai lakou ia ia, a e pepehi mai ia ia a make; a i ke kolu o ka la, e ala hou mai ia.
34 And they themselves no [thing] of these things understood, and was declaration this hidden from them, and neither they were knowing the [things] being spoken.
Aka, aole lakou i hoomaopopo ia mau mea; ua hunaia hoi ia lakou keia olelo, aole lakou i ike i ke ano o na mea i oleloia mai
35 It came to pass then in the drawing near by Him to Jericho a blind [man] certain was sitting beside the road (begging. *N+kO)
Eia kekahi, i kona hookkoke ana i Ieriko, e noho ana kekahi makapo ma kapa alanui e nonoi ana.
36 Having heard now a crowd passing along he was asking what (maybe *o) would be this.
A lohe ae la i ka ahakanaka e hele ae ana, ninau mai la ia i ke ano o ia mea.
37 They told then to him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
Hai aku la no hoi lakou ia ia, e maalo ana'e o Iesu no Nazareta.
38 And he called out saying; Jesus Son of David, do have mercy on me.
Alaila kahea ae la ia, i ae la, E Iesu ke Keiki a Davida, e aloha mai oa ia'u!
39 And those going before were rebuking him that (he may be silent. *N+kO) He himself however much more was crying out; Son of David, do have mercy on me.
A o ka poe e hele mua ana, papa iho la lakou ia ia e noho malie. Aka, kahea nui hou ae la ia, E ke Keiki a Davida, o aloha mai oe ia'u.
40 Having stopped then Jesus commanded him to be brought to Him. When was approaching then he He asked him;
Ku malie iho la hoi o Iesu, hookina ae la e kaiia mai io na la; a kokoke aku la, ninau mai oia ia ia,
41 (saying *ko) What to you desire you I may do? And he said; Lord, that I may receive sight.
I mai la, He aha kou makemake e hana aku ai au ia oe? I aku la hoi oia, I ike au, e ka Haku.
42 And Jesus said to him; do receive sight: The faith of you has healed you.
A i mai la o Iesu ia ia, E ike oe, ua ola oe i kou manaoio.
43 And immediately he received sight and was following Him glorifying God. And all the people having seen [it] gave praise to God.
A ike koke iho la no ia, a hahai aku la oia ia ia, me ka hoonani aku i ke Akua: a o ka poe kanaka a pau e ike ana, hoolea aku la lakou i ke Akua.
