Luke 18
1 He was speaking then (and *ko) a parable to them about it needing always to pray (they *no) and not to lose heart
ελεγεν δε και παραβολην αυτοισ προσ το δειν παντοτε προσευχεσθαι και μη εκκακειν
2 saying; A judge certain there was in a certain city God not fearing and man not respecting.
λεγων κριτησ τισ ην εν τινι πολει τον θεον μη φοβουμενοσ και ανθρωπον μη εντρεπομενοσ
3 A widow then there was in the city that and she was coming to him saying; do avenge me of the adversary of mine.
χηρα δε ην εν τη πολει εκεινη και ηρχετο προσ αυτον λεγουσα εκδικησον με απο του αντιδικου μου
4 And not (he was desiring [to do] *N+kO) for a time. afterward however he said within himself; If even God not I fear (nor *N+kO) man respect,
και ουκ ηθελησεν επι χρονον μετα δε ταυτα ειπεν εν εαυτω ει και τον θεον ου φοβουμαι και ανθρωπον ουκ εντρεπομαι
5 because yet it occasioning me trouble widow this I will avenge her, so that not to end coming she may exhaust me.
δια γε το παρεχειν μοι κοπον την χηραν ταυτην εκδικησω αυτην ινα μη εισ τελοσ ερχομενη υποπιαζη με
6 Said then the Lord; do hear what the judge unrighteous says;
ειπεν δε ο κυριοσ ακουσατε τι ο κριτησ τησ αδικιασ λεγει
7 And God certainly not (may do *N+kO) the avenging of the elect of Him the [ones] crying out (to *k) (to Him *N+kO) day and night, and (be patient *N+kO) in regard to them?
ο δε θεοσ ου μη ποιηση την εκδικησιν των εκλεκτων αυτου των βοωντων προσ αυτον ημερασ και νυκτοσ και μακροθυμων επ αυτοισ
8 I say to you that He will carry out the avenging of them with speed. Nevertheless the Son of Man having come surely not will He find faith on the earth?
λεγω υμιν οτι ποιησει την εκδικησιν αυτων εν ταχει πλην ο υιοσ του ανθρωπου ελθων αρα ευρησει την πιστιν επι τησ γησ
9 He spoke now also to some having trusted in themselves that they are righteous and (despising *NK+o) the others parable this.
ειπεν δε προσ τινασ τουσ πεποιθοτασ εφ εαυτοισ οτι εισιν δικαιοι και εξουθενουντασ τουσ λοιπουσ την παραβολην ταυτην
10 Men two went up into the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector.
ανθρωποι δυο ανεβησαν εισ το ιερον προσευξασθαι ο εισ φαρισαιοσ και ο ετεροσ τελωνησ
11 The Pharisee having stood toward himself these things was praying; O God, I thank You that not I am (like *NK+o) the rest of the men — swindlers, unrighteous, adulterers — or even like this tax collector.
ο φαρισαιοσ σταθεισ προσ εαυτον ταυτα προσηυχετο ο θεοσ ευχαριστω σοι οτι ουκ ειμι ωσπερ οι λοιποι των ανθρωπων αρπαγεσ αδικοι μοιχοι η και ωσ ουτοσ ο τελωνησ
12 I fast twice in the week, I tithe all things as much as I gain.
νηστευω δισ του σαββατου αποδεκατω παντα οσα κτωμαι
13 (and *ko) (but *no) the tax collector afar off having stood not was willing not even the eyes to lift up to heaven but was striking (into *k) the breast (of him *NK+o) saying: O God, do be merciful to me to the sinner!
και ο τελωνησ μακροθεν εστωσ ουκ ηθελεν ουδε τουσ οφθαλμουσ εισ τον ουρανον επαραι αλλ ετυπτεν εισ το στηθοσ αυτου λεγων ο θεοσ ιλασθητι μοι τω αμαρτωλω
14 I say to you; went down this one justified to the house of him (rather than *k) (compared with *n+o) (that [one]. *N+kO) For everyone who is exalting himself will be humbled, the [one] however humbling himself will be exalted.
λεγω υμιν κατεβη ουτοσ δεδικαιωμενοσ εισ τον οικον αυτου η γαρ εκεινοσ οτι πασ ο υψων εαυτον ταπεινωθησεται ο δε ταπεινων εαυτον υψωθησεται
15 They were bringing then to Him also the infants that them He may touch; having seen however the disciples (were rebuking *N+kO) them.
προσεφερον δε αυτω και τα βρεφη ινα αυτων απτηται ιδοντεσ δε οι μαθηται επετιμησαν αυτοισ
16 But Jesus (called *N+kO) them (speaking; *N+kO) do permit the little children to come to Me and not do forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of God.
ο δε ιησουσ προσκαλεσαμενοσ αυτα ειπεν αφετε τα παιδια ερχεσθαι προσ με και μη κωλυετε αυτα των γαρ τοιουτων εστιν η βασιλεια του θεου
17 Amen I say to you; who[ever] (maybe *N+kO) not shall receive the kingdom of God as a child, certainly not shall enter into it.
αμην λεγω υμιν οσ εαν μη δεξηται την βασιλειαν του θεου ωσ παιδιον ου μη εισελθη εισ αυτην
18 And asked a certain Him ruler saying; Teacher good, what having done life eternal will I inherit? (aiōnios g166)
και επηρωτησεν τισ αυτον αρχων λεγων διδασκαλε αγαθε τι ποιησασ ζωην αιωνιον κληρονομησω (aiōnios g166)
19 Said then to him Jesus; Why Me you call good? No [one is] good only except one God.
ειπεν δε αυτω ο ιησουσ τι με λεγεισ αγαθον ουδεισ αγαθοσ ει μη εισ ο θεοσ
20 The commandments You know: Not shall you commit adultery, not shall you murder, not shall you steal, not shall you bear false witness, do honor the father of you and the mother (of you. *k)
τασ εντολασ οιδασ μη μοιχευσησ μη φονευσησ μη κλεψησ μη ψευδομαρτυρησησ τιμα τον πατερα σου και την μητερα σου
21 And he said; These all (I kept *N+kO) from [the] youth (of mine. *ko)
ο δε ειπεν ταυτα παντα εφυλαξαμην εκ νεοτητοσ μου
22 Having heard then (these things *k) Jesus said to him; Yet one thing to you is lacking: All as much as you have do sell and do distribute to [the] poor, and you will have treasure in (the *no) (heavens; *N+kO) and come, do follow Me.
ακουσασ δε ταυτα ο ιησουσ ειπεν αυτω ετι εν σοι λειπει παντα οσα εχεισ πωλησον και διαδοσ πτωχοισ και εξεισ θησαυρον εν ουρανω και δευρο ακολουθει μοι
23 And having heard these things very sorrowful (he became; *N+kO) he was for rich extremely.
ο δε ακουσασ ταυτα περιλυποσ εγενετο ην γαρ πλουσιοσ σφοδρα
24 Having seen then him Jesus sorrowful became saying; How difficult [for] those riches having [when] into the kingdom of God (they enter. *N+kO)
ιδων δε αυτον ο ιησουσ περιλυπον γενομενον ειπεν πωσ δυσκολωσ οι τα χρηματα εχοντεσ εισελευσονται εισ την βασιλειαν του θεου
25 Easier for it is a camel through (an eye of a needle *N+kO) to go than a rich man into the kingdom of God to enter.
ευκοπωτερον γαρ εστιν καμηλον δια τρυμαλιασ ραφιδοσ εισελθειν η πλουσιον εισ την βασιλειαν του θεου εισελθειν
26 Said then those having heard; Then who is able to be saved?
ειπον δε οι ακουσαντεσ και τισ δυναται σωθηναι
27 But He said; The [things] impossible with men possible with God are.
ο δε ειπεν τα αδυνατα παρα ανθρωποισ δυνατα εστιν παρα τω θεω
28 Said then Peter; Behold we ourselves (having abandoned *N+kO) ([our] own [things] *N+kO) (and *k) followed You.
ειπεν δε πετροσ ιδου ημεισ αφηκαμεν παντα και ηκολουθησαμεν σοι
29 And He said to them; Amen I say to you that no [one] there is who has left house or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God,
ο δε ειπεν αυτοισ αμην λεγω υμιν οτι ουδεισ εστιν οσ αφηκεν οικιαν η γονεισ η αδελφουσ η γυναικα η τεκνα ενεκεν τησ βασιλειασ του θεου
31 Having taken aside then the Twelve He said to them; Behold we go up to (Jerusalem, *N+kO) and will be accomplished all things which written through the prophets about the Son of Man;
παραλαβων δε τουσ δωδεκα ειπεν προσ αυτουσ ιδου αναβαινομεν εισ ιεροσολυμα και τελεσθησεται παντα τα γεγραμμενα δια των προφητων τω υιω του ανθρωπου
32 He will be betrayed for to the Gentiles and will be mocked and will be insulted and will be spit upon,
παραδοθησεται γαρ τοισ εθνεσιν και εμπαιχθησεται και υβρισθησεται και εμπτυσθησεται
33 And having flogged [Him] they will kill Him, and on the day third He will rise again.
και μαστιγωσαντεσ αποκτενουσιν αυτον και τη ημερα τη τριτη αναστησεται
34 And they themselves no [thing] of these things understood, and was declaration this hidden from them, and neither they were knowing the [things] being spoken.
και αυτοι ουδεν τουτων συνηκαν και ην το ρημα τουτο κεκρυμμενον απ αυτων και ουκ εγινωσκον τα λεγομενα
35 It came to pass then in the drawing near by Him to Jericho a blind [man] certain was sitting beside the road (begging. *N+kO)
εγενετο δε εν τω εγγιζειν αυτον εισ ιεριχω τυφλοσ τισ εκαθητο παρα την οδον προσαιτων
36 Having heard now a crowd passing along he was asking what (maybe *o) would be this.
ακουσασ δε οχλου διαπορευομενου επυνθανετο τι ειη τουτο
37 They told then to him that Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.
απηγγειλαν δε αυτω οτι ιησουσ ο ναζωραιοσ παρερχεται
38 And he called out saying; Jesus Son of David, do have mercy on me.
και εβοησεν λεγων ιησου υιε δαυιδ ελεησον με
39 And those going before were rebuking him that (he may be silent. *N+kO) He himself however much more was crying out; Son of David, do have mercy on me.
και οι προαγοντεσ επετιμων αυτω ινα σιωπηση αυτοσ δε πολλω μαλλον εκραζεν υιε δαυιδ ελεησον με
40 Having stopped then Jesus commanded him to be brought to Him. When was approaching then he He asked him;
σταθεισ δε ο ιησουσ εκελευσεν αυτον αχθηναι προσ αυτον εγγισαντοσ δε αυτου επηρωτησεν αυτον
41 (saying *ko) What to you desire you I may do? And he said; Lord, that I may receive sight.
λεγων τι σοι θελεισ ποιησω ο δε ειπεν κυριε ινα αναβλεψω
42 And Jesus said to him; do receive sight: The faith of you has healed you.
και ο ιησουσ ειπεν αυτω αναβλεψον η πιστισ σου σεσωκεν σε
43 And immediately he received sight and was following Him glorifying God. And all the people having seen [it] gave praise to God.
και παραχρημα ανεβλεψεν και ηκολουθει αυτω δοξαζων τον θεον και πασ ο λαοσ ιδων εδωκεν αινον τω θεω
