Luke 16
1 He was saying now also to the disciples (of him: *k) A man certain there was rich who had a manager, and he was accused unto him as wasting the possessions of him.
Jésus dit aussi à ses disciples: Un homme riche avait un économe, qui lui fut dénoncé comme dissipant ses biens.
2 And having called him he said to him; What [is] this I hear concerning you? do give the account of the stewardship of you; not for (you are able *N+kO) any longer to manage.
Il l’appela, et lui dit: Qu’est-ce que j’entends dire de toi? Rends compte de ton administration, car tu ne pourras plus administrer mes biens.
3 Said then within himself the manager; What shall I do, for the master of me is taking away the management from me? To dig not I am able, to beg I am ashamed.
L’économe dit en lui-même: Que ferai-je, puisque mon maître m’ôte l’administration de ses biens? Travailler à la terre? Je ne le puis. Mendier? J’en ai honte.
4 I know what I may do so that when I may have been removed (from *no) the management they may receive me into the homes (of them. *NK+o)
Je sais ce que je ferai, pour qu’il y ait des gens qui me reçoivent dans leurs maisons quand je serai destitué de mon emploi.
5 And having called to [him] one each of the debtors of the master his own he was saying to the first; How much owe you to the master of me?
Et, faisant venir chacun des débiteurs de son maître, il dit au premier: Combien dois-tu à mon maître?
6 (then *NK+o) he said; A hundred baths of oil. (then *N+kO) he said to him; do take your (the bills *N+kO) and having sat down soon do write fifty.
Cent mesures d’huile, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, assieds-toi vite, et écris cinquante.
7 Then to another he said; You yourself now how much owe? And he said; A hundred cors of wheat. (and *k) He says to him; do take your (bills *N+kO) and do write eighty.
Il dit ensuite à un autre: Et toi, combien dois-tu? Cent mesures de blé, répondit-il. Et il lui dit: Prends ton billet, et écris quatre-vingts.
8 And praised the master the manager unrighteous because shrewdly he had acted, For the sons of the age this more shrewd than the sons of the light in the generation their own are. (aiōn g165)
Le maître loua l’économe infidèle de ce qu’il avait agi prudemment. Car les enfants de ce siècle sont plus prudents à l’égard de leurs semblables que ne le sontles enfants de lumière. (aiōn g165)
9 and I myself to you say; for yourselves do make friends by the wealth of unrighteousness, that when (it may fail *N+KO) they may receive you into the eternal dwellings. (aiōnios g166)
Et moi, je vous dis: Faites-vous des amis avec les richesses injustes, pour qu’ils vous reçoivent dans les tabernacles éternels, quand elles viendront à vous manquer. (aiōnios g166)
10 The [one] faithful with very little also with much faithful is, and the [one] with very little unrighteous also with much unrighteous is.
Celui qui est fidèle dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes, et celui qui est injuste dans les moindres choses l’est aussi dans les grandes.
11 If therefore in the unrighteous wealth faithful not you have been, the true [riches] who to you will entrust?
Si donc vous n’avez pas été fidèles dans les richesses injustes, qui vous confiera les véritables?
12 And if in that which [is] of another faithful not you have been, that which ([is] yours *NK+O) who to you will give
Et si vous n’avez pas été fidèles dans ce qui est à autrui, qui vous donnera ce qui est à vous?
13 No servant is able to two masters to serve; either for the one he will hate and the other he will love, or to one he will be devoted and the other he will despise. Not you are able God to serve and money.
Nul serviteur ne peut servir deux maîtres. Car, ou il haïra l’un et aimera l’autre; ou il s’attachera à l’un et méprisera l’autre. Vous ne pouvez servir Dieu et Mamon.
14 Were listening to now these things all (and *k) the Pharisees lovers of money being and they were ridiculing Him.
Les pharisiens, qui étaient avares, écoutaient aussi tout cela, et ils se moquaient de lui.
15 And He said to them; You yourselves are those justifying themselves before men, but God knows the hearts of you for that which among men [is] exalted an abomination before God (is. *k)
Jésus leur dit: Vous, vous cherchez à paraître justes devant les hommes, maisDieu connaît vos cœurs; car ce qui est élevé parmi les hommes est une abomination devant Dieu.
16 The law and the prophets [were] (until *N+kO) John; from that time the kingdom of God is evangelised [about], and everyone into it forces his way.
La loi et les prophètes ont subsisté jusqu’à Jean; depuis lors, le royaume de Dieu est annoncé, et chacun use de violence pour y entrer.
17 Easier for however it is the heaven and the earth to pass away than of the law one stroke of a pen to fail.
Il est plus facile que le ciel et la terre passent, qu’il ne l’est qu’un seul trait de lettre de la loi vienne à tomber.
18 Everyone who is putting away the wife of him and marrying another commits adultery, And (everyone *k) who separated her from a husband marrying commits adultery.
Quiconque répudie sa femme et en épouse une autre commet un adultère, et quiconque épouse une femme répudiée par son mari commet un adultère.
19 A man now certain there was rich and he was clothed in purple and fine linen making good cheer every day in splendor.
Il y avait un homme riche, qui était vêtu de pourpre et de fin lin, et qui chaque jour menait joyeuse et brillante vie.
20 A poor man now certain (was *k) named Lazarus (who *k) had been laid at the gate of him full of sores
Un pauvre, nommé Lazare, était couché à sa porte, couvert d’ulcères,
21 and desiring to be fed from (crumbs *KO) that falling from the table of the rich man; but even the dogs coming were licking the sores of him.
et désireux de se rassasier des miettes qui tombaient de la table du riche; et même les chiens venaient encore lécher ses ulcères.
22 It came to pass that then to die the poor man and to be carried away he by the angels into the bosom of Abraham; Died then also the rich man and was buried.
Le pauvre mourut, et il fut porté par les anges dans le sein d’Abraham. Le riche mourut aussi, et il fut enseveli.
23 And in Hades having lifted up the eyes of him, being in torment he sees Abraham from afar and Lazarus in the bosom of him. (Hadēs g86)
Dans le séjour des morts, il leva les yeux; et, tandis qu’il était en proie aux tourments, il vit de loin Abraham, et Lazare dans son sein. (Hadēs g86)
24 And he himself having cried out said; Father Abraham, do have mercy on me and do send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of the finger of him in water and may cool the tongue of mine, for I am suffering in flame this.
Il s’écria: Père Abraham, aie pitié de moi, et envoie Lazare, pour qu’il trempe le bout de son doigt dans l’eau et me rafraîchisse la langue; car je souffre cruellement dans cette flamme.
25 Said then Abraham; Child, do remember that you did fully receive (you yourself *k) the [things] good of you in the lifetime of you, and Lazarus likewise the [things] harmful. Now however (here *N+kO) he is comforted, you yourself now are suffering.
Abraham répondit: Mon enfant, souviens-toi que tu as reçu tes biens pendant ta vie, et que Lazare a eu les maux pendant la sienne; maintenant il est ici consolé, et toi, tu souffres.
26 And (besides *N+kO) all these things between us and you a chasm great has been fixed so that those desiring to pass (from here *N+kO) to you not may be able nor (those *k) from there to us they shall pass.
D’ailleurs, il y a entre nous et vous un grand abîme, afin que ceux qui voudraient passer d’ici vers vous, ou de là vers nous, ne puissent le faire.
27 He said then; I implore you then father, that you may send him to the house of the father of mine —
Le riche dit: Je te prie donc, père Abraham, d’envoyer Lazare dans la maison de mon père; car j’ai cinq frères.
28 I have for five brothers — so that he may warn to them that not also they themselves may come to place this of torment.
C’est pour qu’il leur atteste ces choses, afin qu’ils ne viennent pas aussi dans ce lieu de tourments.
29 Says (however *no) (to him *ko) Abraham; They have Moses and the prophets; they should listen to them.
Abraham répondit: Ils ont Moïse et les prophètes; qu’ils les écoutent.
30 And he said; No, father Abraham, but if one from [the] dead shall go to them, they will repent.
Et il dit: Non, père Abraham, mais si quelqu’un des morts va vers eux, ils se repentiront.
31 He said however to him; If to Moses and the prophets not they listen, (not even *N+kO) if one out from [the] dead shall rise will they be persuaded.
Et Abraham lui dit: S’ils n’écoutent pas Moïse et les prophètes, ils ne se laisseront pas persuader quand même quelqu’un des morts ressusciterait.
