Joshua 14

1 And these [are that] which they inherited [the] people of Israel in [the] land of Canaan which they gave as a possession them Eleazar the priest and Joshua [the] son of Nun and [the] leaders of [the] fathers of the tribes of [the] people of Israel.

۱ و اینهاست ملکهایی که بنی‌اسرائیل درزمین کنعان گرفتند، که العازار کاهن ویوشع بن نون و روسای آبای اسباط بنی‌اسرائیل برای ایشان تقسیم کردند.

2 By [the] allotted portion of inheritance their just as he had commanded Yahweh by [the] hand of Moses for [the] nine the tribes and [the] half of the tribe.

۲ برحسب قرعه، ملکیت ایشان شد، برای نه سبط و نصف سبط، چنانکه خداوند به‌دست موسی‌امر فرموده بود.

3 For he had given Moses [the] inheritance of [the] two the tribes and [the] half of the tribe from [the] other side of the Jordan and to the Levites not he had given an inheritance in midst of them.

۳ زیرا که موسی ملکیت دو سبط و نصف سبط رابه آن طرف اردن داده بود، امابه لاویان هیچ ملکیت در میان ایشان نداد.

4 For they were [the] descendants of Joseph two tribes Manasseh and Ephraim and not people gave a portion to the Levites in the land that except cities to dwell in and pasture lands their for livestock their and for possession[s] their.

۴ زیرا پسران یوسف دو سبط بودند، یعنی منسی و افرایم، و به لاویان هیچ قسمت در زمین ندادند، غیر از شهرها به جهت سکونت و اطراف آنها به جهت مواشی واموال ایشان.

5 Just as he had commanded Yahweh Moses so they did [the] people of Israel and they apportioned the land.

۵ چنانکه خداوند موسی را امرفرموده بود، همچنان بنی‌اسرائیل عمل نموده، زمین را تسلیم کردند.

6 And they approached [the] descendants of Judah to Joshua at Gilgal and he said to him Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite you you know the word which he spoke Yahweh to Moses [the] man of God on causes my and on causes your at Kadesh Barnea.

۶ آنگاه بنی یهودا در جلجال نزد یوشع آمدند، و کالیب بن یفنه قنزی وی را گفت: «سخنی را که خداوند به موسی، مرد خدا، درباره من و تو وقادش برنیع گفت می‌دانی.

7 [was] a son of Forty year[s] I when sent Moses [the] servant of Yahweh me from Kadesh Barnea to spy out the land and I brought back him a word just as with heart my.

۷ من چهل ساله بودم وقتی که موسی، بنده خداوند، مرا از قادش برنیع برای جاسوسی زمین فرستاد، و برای او خبر بازآوردم چنانکه در دل من بود.

8 And brothers my who they went up with me they melted [the] heart of the people and I I filled after Yahweh God my.

۸ لیکن برادرانم که همراه من رفته بودند دل قوم را گداختند، و اما من یهوه خدای خود را به تمامی دل پیروی کردم.

9 And he swore an oath Moses on the day that saying if not the land which it trod foot your on it of you it will become an inheritance and of children your until perpetuity for you filled after Yahweh God my.

۹ ودر آن روز موسی قسم خورد و گفت: البته زمینی که پای تو بر آن گذارده شد برای تو و اولادت ملکیت ابدی خواهد بود، زیرا که یهوه خدای مرابه تمامی دل پیروی نمودی.

10 And now here! he has let live Yahweh - me just as he spoke this forty and five year[s] from then he spoke Yahweh the word this to Moses when it walked Israel in the wilderness and now here! I this day [am] a son of five and eighty year[s].

۱۰ و الان اینک خداوند چنانکه گفته بود این چهل و پنج سال مرازنده نگاه داشته است، از وقتی که خداوند این سخن را به موسی گفت هنگامی که اسرائیل دربیابان راه می‌رفتند، و الان، اینک من امروز هشتادو پنج ساله هستم.

11 Still I this day [am] strong just as on [the] day sent me Moses as strength my then and as strength my now for the battle and to go out and to come.

۱۱ و حال امروز قوت من باقی است مثل روزی که موسی مرا فرستاد، چنانکه قوت من در آن وقت بود، همچنان قوت من الان است، خواه برای جنگ کردن و خواه برای رفتن وآمدن.

12 And therefore give! to me the hill country this which he spoke Yahweh on the day that for you you heard on the day that that Anakites [were] there and cities large fortified perhaps Yahweh with me and I will dispossess them just as he spoke Yahweh.

۱۲ پس الان این کوه را به من بده که در آن روز خداوند درباره‌اش گفت، زیرا تو در آن روزشنیدی که عناقیان در آنجا بودند، و شهرهایش بزرگ و حصاردار است، شاید خداوند با من خواهد بود تا ایشان را بیرون کنم، چنانکه خداوند گفته است.»

13 And he blessed him Joshua and he gave Hebron to Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh to an inheritance.

۱۳ پس یوشع او را برکت داد و حبرون را به کالیب بن یفنه به ملکیت بخشید.

14 There-fore it became Hebron of Caleb [the] son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite an inheritance until the day this because that he filled after Yahweh [the] God of Israel.

۱۴ بنابراین حبرون تا امروز ملکیت کالیب بن یفنه قنزی شد، زیرا که یهوه خدای اسرائیل را به تمامی دل پیروی نموده بود.

15 And [the] name of Hebron before [was] Kiriath Arba [who was] the man great among the Anakites he and the land it was at peace from war.

۱۵ و قبل از آن نام حبرون، قریه اربع بود که او در میان عناقیان مرد بزرگ ترین بود. پس زمین از جنگ آرام گرفت.
