John 1
1 In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word.
ཨཱདཽ ཝཱད ཨཱསཱིཏ྄ ས ཙ ཝཱད ཨཱིཤྭརེཎ སཱརྡྷམཱསཱིཏ྄ ས ཝཱདཿ སྭཡམཱིཤྭར ཨེཝ།
2 He was in [the] beginning with God.
ས ཨཱདཱཝཱིཤྭརེཎ སཧཱསཱིཏ྄།
3 All things through Him came into being, and without Him came into being not even one [thing] that has come into being.
ཏེན སཪྻྭཾ ཝསྟུ སསྲྀཛེ སཪྻྭེཥུ སྲྀཥྚཝསྟུཥུ ཀིམཔི ཝསྟུ ཏེནཱསྲྀཥྚཾ ནཱསྟི།
4 In Him life was, and the life was the light of men,
ས ཛཱིཝནསྱཱཀཱརཿ, ཏཙྩ ཛཱིཝནཾ མནུཥྱཱཎཱཾ ཛྱོཏིཿ
5 And the Light in the darkness shines, and the darkness it not grasped [it].
ཏཛྫྱོཏིརནྡྷཀཱརེ པྲཙཀཱཤེ ཀིནྟྭནྡྷཀཱརསྟནྣ ཛགྲཱཧ།
6 There came a man sent from God, [the] name to Him [was] John.
ཡོཧན྄ ནཱམཀ ཨེཀོ མནུཛ ཨཱིཤྭརེཎ པྲེཥཡཱཉྩཀྲེ།
7 He came as a witness that he may testify concerning the Light, that all may believe through him.
ཏདྭཱརཱ ཡཐཱ སཪྻྭེ ཝིཤྭསནྟི ཏདརྠཾ ས ཏཛྫྱོཏིཥི པྲམཱཎཾ དཱཏུཾ སཱཀྵིསྭརཱུཔོ བྷཱུཏྭཱགམཏ྄,
8 Not was He the Light, but that he may witness concerning the Light.
ས སྭཡཾ ཏཛྫྱོཏི རྣ ཀིནྟུ ཏཛྫྱོཏིཥི པྲམཱཎཾ དཱཏུམཱགམཏ྄།
9 Was the Light true who enlightens every man coming into the world.
ཛགཏྱཱགཏྱ ཡཿ སཪྻྭམནུཛེབྷྱོ དཱིཔྟིཾ དདཱཏི ཏདེཝ སཏྱཛྱོཏིཿ།
10 In the world He was, and the world through Him came into being, and the world Him not knew.
ས ཡཛྫགདསྲྀཛཏ྄ ཏནྨདྱ ཨེཝ ས ཨཱསཱིཏ྄ ཀིནྟུ ཛགཏོ ལོཀཱསྟཾ ནཱཛཱནན྄།
11 To [His] own He came, and [His] own Him not received.
ནིཛཱདྷིཀཱརཾ ས ཨཱགཙྪཏ྄ ཀིནྟུ པྲཛཱསྟཾ ནཱགྲྀཧླན྄།
12 As many as however received Him, He gave to them authority children of God to be, to those believing in the name of Him,
ཏཐཱཔི ཡེ ཡེ ཏམགྲྀཧླན྄ ཨརྠཱཏ྄ ཏསྱ ནཱམྣི ཝྱཤྭསན྄ ཏེབྷྱ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ པུཏྲཱ བྷཝིཏུམ྄ ཨདྷིཀཱརམ྄ ཨདདཱཏ྄།
13 who not [born] of blood nor [born] of will of flesh nor [born] of will of man but of God were born.
ཏེཥཱཾ ཛནིཿ ཤོཎིཏཱནྣ ཤཱརཱིརིཀཱབྷིལཱཥཱནྣ མཱནཝཱནཱམིཙྪཱཏོ ན ཀིནྟྭཱིཤྭརཱདབྷཝཏ྄།
14 And the Word flesh became and He dwelt among us, and we beheld the glory of Him, a glory as of an only begotten from [the] Father, full of grace and truth.
ས ཝཱདོ མནུཥྱརཱུཔེཎཱཝཏཱིཪྻྱ སཏྱཏཱནུགྲཧཱབྷྱཱཾ པརིཔཱུརྞཿ སན྄ སཱརྡྷམ྄ ཨསྨཱབྷི རྣྱཝསཏ྄ ཏཏཿ པིཏུརདྭིཏཱིཡཔུཏྲསྱ ཡོགྱོ ཡོ མཧིམཱ ཏཾ མཧིམཱནཾ ཏསྱཱཔཤྱཱམ།
15 John witnesses concerning Him and he has cried out saying; This was He (of whom I was saying; *NK+o) The [One] after me coming precedence over me has, because before me He was.’
ཏཏོ ཡོཧནཔི པྲཙཱཪྻྱ སཱཀྵྱམིདཾ དཏྟཝཱན྄ ཡོ མམ པཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱགམིཥྱཏི ས མཏྟོ གུརུཏརཿ; ཡཏོ མཏྤཱུཪྻྭཾ ས ཝིདྱམཱན ཨཱསཱིཏ྄; ཡདརྠམ྄ ཨཧཾ སཱཀྵྱམིདམ྄ ཨདཱཾ ས ཨེཥཿ།
16 (For *N+KO) from the fullness of Him we ourselves all have received then grace for grace.
ཨཔརཉྩ ཏསྱ པཱུརྞཏཱཡཱ ཝཡཾ སཪྻྭེ ཀྲམཤཿ ཀྲམཤོནུགྲཧཾ པྲཱཔྟཱཿ།
17 For the law through Moses was given, grace and truth through Jesus Christ came.
མཱུསཱདྭཱརཱ ཝྱཝསྠཱ དཏྟཱ ཀིནྟྭནུགྲཧཿ སཏྱཏྭཉྩ ཡཱིཤུཁྲཱིཥྚདྭཱརཱ སམུཔཱཏིཥྛཏཱཾ།
18 God no [one] has seen ever yet; (the *ko) only begotten (God *N+KO) who is being in the bosom of the Father, He has made [Him] known.
ཀོཔི མནུཛ ཨཱིཤྭརཾ ཀདཱཔི ནཱཔཤྱཏ྄ ཀིནྟུ པིཏུཿ ཀྲོཌསྠོ྅དྭིཏཱིཡཿ པུཏྲསྟཾ པྲཀཱཤཡཏ྄།
19 And this is the testimony of John when sent (to him *no) the Jews from Jerusalem priests and Levites that they may ask him; You yourself who are?
ཏྭཾ ཀཿ? ཨིཏི ཝཱཀྱཾ པྲེཥྚུཾ ཡདཱ ཡིཧཱུདཱིཡལོཀཱ ཡཱཛཀཱན྄ ལེཝིལོཀཱཾཤྩ ཡིརཱུཤཱལམོ ཡོཧནཿ སམཱིཔེ པྲེཥཡཱམཱསུཿ,
20 And he confessed and not denied but confessed that I myself not am the Christ.
ཏདཱ ས སྭཱིཀྲྀཏཝཱན྄ ནཱཔཧྣཱུཏཝཱན྄ ནཱཧམ྄ ཨབྷིཥིཀྟ ཨིཏྱངྒཱིཀྲྀཏཝཱན྄།
21 And they asked him; What then? You yourself Elijah are And he says; Not I am. The prophet are you yourself? And he answered; No.
ཏདཱ ཏེ྅པྲྀཙྪན྄ ཏརྷི ཀོ བྷཝཱན྄? ཀིཾ ཨེལིཡཿ? སོཝདཏ྄ ན; ཏཏསྟེ྅པྲྀཙྪན྄ ཏརྷི བྷཝཱན྄ ས བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདཱི? སོཝདཏ྄ ནཱཧཾ སཿ།
22 They said therefore to him; Who are you? That an answer we may give to those having sent us; what say you about yourself?
ཏདཱ ཏེ྅པྲྀཙྪན྄ ཏརྷི བྷཝཱན྄ ཀཿ? ཝཡཾ གཏྭཱ པྲེརཀཱན྄ ཏྭཡི ཀིཾ ཝཀྵྱཱམཿ? སྭསྨིན྄ ཀིཾ ཝདསི?
23 He was saying; I myself [am] a voice crying in the wilderness; do make straight the way of [the] Lord; even as said Isaiah the prophet.
ཏདཱ སོཝདཏ྄། པརམེཤསྱ པནྠཱནཾ པརིཥྐུརུཏ སཪྻྭཏཿ། ཨིཏཱིདཾ པྲཱནྟརེ ཝཱཀྱཾ ཝདཏཿ ཀསྱཙིདྲཝཿ། ཀཐཱམིམཱཾ ཡསྨིན྄ ཡིཤཡིཡོ བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདཱི ལིཁིཏཝཱན྄ སོཧམ྄།
24 And (those *k) sent were out from the Pharisees
ཡེ པྲེཥིཏཱསྟེ ཕིརཱུཤིལོཀཱཿ།
25 And they asked him and they said to him; Why then baptize you if you yourself not are the Christ (nor *N+kO) Elijah (nor *N+kO) the prophet?
ཏདཱ ཏེ྅པྲྀཙྪན྄ ཡདི ནཱབྷིཥིཀྟོསི ཨེལིཡོསི ན ས བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདྱཔི ནཱསི ཙ, ཏརྷི ལོཀཱན྄ མཛྫཡསི ཀུཏཿ?
26 Answered them John saying; I myself baptize with water; [in the] midst (now *k) of you (he has stood *NK+o) whom you yourselves not know,
ཏཏོ ཡོཧན྄ པྲཏྱཝོཙཏ྄, ཏོཡེ྅ཧཾ མཛྫཡཱམཱིཏི སཏྱཾ ཀིནྟུ ཡཾ ཡཱུཡཾ ན ཛཱནཱིཐ ཏཱདྲྀཤ ཨེཀོ ཛནོ ཡུཥྨཱཀཾ མདྷྱ ཨུཔཏིཥྛཏི།
27 (he himself is *k) the [One] after me coming, (who before me has been; *K) of whom not am I myself worthy that I may untie of Him the strap of the sandal.
ས མཏྤཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱགཏོཔི མཏྤཱུཪྻྭཾ ཝརྟྟམཱན ཨཱསཱིཏ྄ ཏསྱ པཱདུཀཱབནྡྷནཾ མོཙཡིཏུམཔི ནཱཧཾ ཡོགྱོསྨི།
28 These things in (Bethany *N+kO) took place across the Jordan where was John baptizing.
ཡརྡྡནནདྱཱཿ པཱརསྠབཻཐབཱརཱཡཱཾ ཡསྨིནྶྠཱནེ ཡོཧནམཛྫཡཏ྄ ཏསྨིན སྠཱནེ སཪྻྭམེཏད྄ ཨགྷཊཏ།
29 On the next day he sees (John *k) Jesus coming to him and says; Behold the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world.
པརེ྅ཧནི ཡོཧན྄ སྭནིཀཊམཱགཙྪནྟཾ ཡིཤུཾ ཝིལོཀྱ པྲཱཝོཙཏ྄ ཛགཏཿ པཱཔམོཙཀམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ མེཥཤཱཝཀཾ པཤྱཏ།
30 He it is (concerning *N+kO) whom I myself said; After me comes a man who precedence over me has because before me He was.
ཡོ མམ པཤྩཱདཱགམིཥྱཏི ས མཏྟོ གུརུཏརཿ, ཡཏོ ཧེཏོརྨཏྤཱུཪྻྭཾ སོ྅ཝརྟྟཏ ཡསྨིནྣཧཾ ཀཐཱམིམཱཾ ཀཐིཏཝཱན྄ ས ཨེཝཱཡཾ།
31 And I myself And I myself not knew Him, but that He may be revealed to Israel, because of this came I myself with water baptizing.
ཨཔརཾ ནཱཧམེནཾ པྲཏྱབྷིཛྙཱཏཝཱན྄ ཀིནྟུ ཨིསྲཱཡེལློཀཱ ཨེནཾ ཡཐཱ པརིཙིནྭནྟི ཏདབྷིཔྲཱཡེཎཱཧཾ ཛལེ མཛྫཡིཏུམཱགཙྪམ྄།
32 And bore witness John saying that I have beheld the Spirit descending (as *N+kO) a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon Him.
པུནཤྩ ཡོཧནཔརམེཀཾ པྲམཱཎཾ དཏྭཱ ཀཐིཏཝཱན྄ ཝིཧཱཡསཿ ཀཔོཏཝད྄ ཨཝཏརནྟམཱཏྨཱནམ྄ ཨསྱོཔཪྻྱཝཏིཥྛནྟཾ ཙ དྲྀཥྚཝཱནཧམ྄།
33 And I myself And I myself not knew Him, but the [One] having sent me to baptize with water, He to me said; Upon whom maybe you may see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him, He is the [One] baptizing with [the] Spirit Holy.
ནཱཧམེནཾ པྲཏྱབྷིཛྙཱཏཝཱན྄ ཨིཏི སཏྱཾ ཀིནྟུ ཡོ ཛལེ མཛྫཡིཏུཾ མཱཾ པྲཻརཡཏ྄ ས ཨེཝེམཱཾ ཀཐཱམཀཐཡཏ྄ ཡསྱོཔཪྻྱཱཏྨཱནམ྄ ཨཝཏརནྟམ྄ ཨཝཏིཥྛནྟཉྩ དྲཀྵཡསི སཨེཝ པཝིཏྲེ ཨཱཏྨནི མཛྫཡིཥྱཏི།
34 And I myself And I myself have seen and have borne witness that this is the (Son *NK+O) of God.
ཨཝསྟནྣིརཱིཀྵྱཱཡམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ ཏནཡ ཨིཏི པྲམཱཎཾ དདཱམི།
35 On the next day again had stood John and of the disciples of him two.
པརེ྅ཧནི ཡོཧན྄ དྭཱབྷྱཱཾ ཤིཥྱཱབྷྱཱཾ སཱརྡྡྷེཾ ཏིཥྛན྄
36 And having looked at Jesus walking he says; Behold the Lamb of God!
ཡིཤུཾ གཙྪནྟཾ ཝིལོཀྱ གདིཏཝཱན྄, ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ མེཥཤཱཝཀཾ པཤྱཏཾ།
37 And heard the two disciples of Him [Him] speaking and they followed Jesus.
ཨིམཱཾ ཀཐཱཾ ཤྲུཏྭཱ དྭཽ ཤིཥྱཽ ཡཱིཤོཿ པཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱིཡཏུཿ།
38 Having turned then Jesus and having beheld them following He says to them; What seek you? And they said to Him; Rabbi which is to say (meaning *N+kO) Teacher — where are You staying?
ཏཏོ ཡཱིཤུཿ པརཱཝྲྀཏྱ ཏཽ པཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱགཙྪནྟཽ དྲྀཥྚྭཱ པྲྀཥྚཝཱན྄ ཡུཝཱཾ ཀིཾ གཝེཤཡཐཿ? ཏཱཝཔྲྀཙྪཏཱཾ ཧེ རབྦི ཨརྠཱཏ྄ ཧེ གུརོ བྷཝཱན྄ ཀུཏྲ ཏིཥྛཏི?
39 He says to them; do come and (you will behold. *N+kO) They went (therefore *NO) and saw where He abides, and with Him they stayed the day that; [The] hour (now *k) was about [the] tenth.
ཏཏཿ སོཝཱདིཏ྄ ཨེཏྱ པཤྱཏཾ། ཏཏོ དིཝསསྱ ཏྲྀཏཱིཡཔྲཧརསྱ གཏཏྭཱཏ྄ ཏཽ ཏདྡིནཾ ཏསྱ སངྒེ྅སྠཱཏཱཾ།
40 Was Andrew the brother of Simon Peter one of the two which having heard from John and having followed Him.
ཡཽ དྭཽ ཡོཧནོ ཝཱཀྱཾ ཤྲུཏྭཱ ཡིཤོཿ པཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱགམཏཱཾ ཏཡོཿ ཤིམོནྤིཏརསྱ བྷྲཱཏཱ ཨཱནྡྲིཡཿ
41 Finds he (first *N+kO) the brother [his] own Simon and he says to him; We have found the Messiah, which is being translated Christ.
ས ཨིཏྭཱ པྲཐམཾ ནིཛསོདརཾ ཤིམོནཾ སཱཀྵཱཏྤྲཱཔྱ ཀཐིཏཝཱན྄ ཝཡཾ ཁྲཱིཥྚམ྄ ཨརྠཱཏ྄ ཨབྷིཥིཀྟཔུརུཥཾ སཱཀྵཱཏྐྲྀཏཝནྟཿ།
42 (and *k) He led him to Jesus. Having looked at (now *k) him Jesus said; You yourself are Simon the son (of John; *N+KO) You yourself will be called Cephas which means Peter.
པཤྩཱཏ྄ ས ཏཾ ཡིཤོཿ སམཱིཔམ྄ ཨཱནཡཏ྄། ཏདཱ ཡཱིཤུསྟཾ དྲྀཥྚྭཱཝདཏ྄ ཏྭཾ ཡཱུནསཿ པུཏྲཿ ཤིམོན྄ ཀིནྟུ ཏྭནྣཱམདྷེཡཾ ཀཻཕཱཿ ཝཱ པིཏརཿ ཨརྠཱཏ྄ པྲསྟརོ བྷཝིཥྱཏི།
43 On the next day He desired to go forth into Galilee And He finds Philip And says to him Jesus; do follow Me.
པརེ྅ཧནི ཡཱིཤཽ གཱལཱིལཾ གནྟུཾ ནིཤྩིཏཙེཏསི སཏི ཕིལིཔནཱམཱནཾ ཛནཾ སཱཀྵཱཏྤྲཱཔྱཱཝོཙཏ྄ མམ པཤྩཱད྄ ཨཱགཙྪ།
44 Was now Philip from Bethsaida, from the city of Andrew and Peter.
བཻཏྶཻདཱནཱམྣི ཡསྨིན྄ གྲཱམེ པིཏརཱནྡྲིཡཡོཪྻཱས ཨཱསཱིཏ྄ ཏསྨིན྄ གྲཱམེ ཏསྱ ཕིལིཔསྱ ཝསཏིརཱསཱིཏ྄།
45 Finds Philip Nathanael and says to him; [Him] whom wrote of Moses in the Law also the prophets, we have found, Jesus son of Joseph of Nazareth.
པཤྩཱཏ྄ ཕིལིཔོ ནིཐནེལཾ སཱཀྵཱཏྤྲཱཔྱཱཝདཏ྄ མཱུསཱ ཝྱཝསྠཱ གྲནྠེ བྷཝིཥྱདྭཱདིནཱཾ གྲནྠེཥུ ཙ ཡསྱཱཁྱཱནཾ ལིཁིཏམཱསྟེ ཏཾ ཡཱུཥཕཿ པུཏྲཾ ནཱསརཏཱིཡཾ ཡཱིཤུཾ སཱཀྵཱད྄ ཨཀཱརྵྨ ཝཡཾ།
46 And said to him Nathanael; Out of Nazareth is able any good thing to be? Says to him Philip; do come and do see.
ཏདཱ ནིཐནེལ྄ ཀཐིཏཝཱན྄ ནཱསརནྣགརཱཏ ཀིཾ ཀཤྩིདུཏྟམ ཨུཏྤནྟུཾ ཤཀྣོཏི? ཏཏཿ ཕིལིཔོ ྅ཝོཙཏ྄ ཨེཏྱ པཤྱ།
47 Saw Jesus Nathanael coming to Him and He says concerning him; Behold truly an Israelite in whom deceit not there is.
ཨཔརཉྩ ཡཱིཤུཿ སྭསྱ སམཱིཔཾ ཏམ྄ ཨཱགཙྪནྟཾ དྲྀཥྚྭཱ ཝྱཱཧྲྀཏཝཱན྄, པཤྱཱཡཾ ནིཥྐཔཊཿ སཏྱ ཨིསྲཱཡེལློཀཿ།
48 Says to Him Nathanael; From where me know You? Answered Jesus and said to him; Before you Philip calling being under the fig tree I saw you.
ཏཏཿ སོཝདད྄, བྷཝཱན྄ མཱཾ ཀཐཾ པྲཏྱབྷིཛཱནཱཏི? ཡཱིཤུརཝཱདཱིཏ྄ ཕིལིཔསྱ ཨཱཧྭཱནཱཏ྄ པཱུཪྻྭཾ ཡདཱ ཏྭམུཌུམྦརསྱ ཏརོརྨཱུལེ྅སྠཱསྟདཱ ཏྭཱམདརྴམ྄།
49 Answered to him Nathanael (and says: *k) Rabbi, You yourself are the Son of God, You yourself King are of Israel.
ནིཐནེལ྄ ཨཙཀཐཏ྄, ཧེ གུརོ བྷཝཱན྄ ནིཏཱནྟམ྄ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ པུཏྲོསི, བྷཝཱན྄ ཨིསྲཱཡེལྭཾཤསྱ རཱཛཱ།
50 Answered Jesus and said to him; Because I said to you (that *no) I saw you under the fig tree, believe you? Greater things than these You will see.
ཏཏོ ཡཱིཤུ ཪྻྱཱཧརཏ྄, ཏྭཱམུཌུམྦརསྱ པཱདཔསྱ མཱུལེ དྲྀཥྚཝཱནཱཧཾ མམཻཏསྨཱདྭཱཀྱཱཏ྄ ཀིཾ ཏྭཾ ཝྱཤྭསཱིཿ? ཨེཏསྨཱདཔྱཱཤྩཪྻྱཱཎི ཀཱཪྻྱཱཎི དྲཀྵྱསི།
51 And He says to him; Amen Amen I say to all of you (from now *K) you will behold the heaven having opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
ཨནྱཙྩཱཝཱདཱིད྄ ཡུཥྨཱནཧཾ ཡཐཱརྠཾ ཝདཱམི, ཨིཏཿ པརཾ མོཙིཏེ མེགྷདྭཱརེ ཏསྨཱནྨནུཛསཱུནུནཱ ཨཱིཤྭརསྱ དཱུཏགཎམ྄ ཨཝརོཧནྟམཱརོཧནྟཉྩ དྲཀྵྱཐ།
