John 1
1 In [the] beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word.
Au commencement était la Parole, et la Parole était auprès de Dieu, et la Parole était Dieu;
2 He was in [the] beginning with God.
c'est elle qui était au commencement auprès de Dieu.
3 All things through Him came into being, and without Him came into being not even one [thing] that has come into being.
Toutes choses ont été faites par elle, et sans elle pas même une seule des choses qui ont été faites n'a été faite.
4 In Him life was, and the life was the light of men,
En elle était la vie, et la vie était la lumière des hommes;
5 And the Light in the darkness shines, and the darkness it not grasped [it].
et la lumière luit dans les ténèbres, et les ténèbres ne l'ont pas reçue.
6 There came a man sent from God, [the] name to Him [was] John.
Il y eut un homme, envoyé de Dieu, dont le nom était Jean;
7 He came as a witness that he may testify concerning the Light, that all may believe through him.
cet homme vint pour servir de témoin, afin de rendre témoignage à la lumière, afin que tous crussent par son moyen.
8 Not was He the Light, but that he may witness concerning the Light.
Ce n'est pas lui qui était la lumière, mais il devait rendre témoignage à la lumière;
9 Was the Light true who enlightens every man coming into the world.
la lumière véritable qui illumine tous les hommes était venue dans le monde.
10 In the world He was, and the world through Him came into being, and the world Him not knew.
La Parole était dans le monde, et le monde a été fait par elle, et le monde ne l'a point connue;
11 To [His] own He came, and [His] own Him not received.
elle est venue chez elle, et les siens ne l'ont pas accueillie;
12 As many as however received Him, He gave to them authority children of God to be, to those believing in the name of Him,
mais à tous ceux qui l'ont reçue, elle a donné, parce qu'ils croient en son nom, le droit de devenir enfants de Dieu,
13 who not [born] of blood nor [born] of will of flesh nor [born] of will of man but of God were born.
eux qui ne sont nés ni du sang, ni de la volonté de la chair, ni de la volonté de l'homme, mais de Dieu.
14 And the Word flesh became and He dwelt among us, and we beheld the glory of Him, a glory as of an only begotten from [the] Father, full of grace and truth.
Et la Parole a été faite chair, et elle a habité parmi nous, pleine de grâce et de vérité; et nous avons contemplé sa gloire, une gloire telle que doit être celle du Fils unique qui est né du Père; —
15 John witnesses concerning Him and he has cried out saying; This was He (of whom I was saying; *NK+o) The [One] after me coming precedence over me has, because before me He was.’
Jean lui rend témoignage, et il s'écrie: « C'était de lui que j'ai dit: Celui qui vient après moi a été avant moi, car il existait plus tôt que moi; » —
16 (For *N+KO) from the fullness of Him we ourselves all have received then grace for grace.
c'est en effet de sa plénitude que tous nous avons reçu grâce après grâce;
17 For the law through Moses was given, grace and truth through Jesus Christ came.
car la loi a été donnée par Moïse, la grâce et la vérité sont venues par Jésus-Christ.
18 God no [one] has seen ever yet; (the *ko) only begotten (God *N+KO) who is being in the bosom of the Father, He has made [Him] known.
Personne n'a jamais vu Dieu; le Dieu Fils unique, qui est dans le sein du Père, est celui qui L'a révélé.
19 And this is the testimony of John when sent (to him *no) the Jews from Jerusalem priests and Levites that they may ask him; You yourself who are?
Et voici quel fut le témoignage de Jean, lorsque les Juifs lui envoyèrent de Jérusalem des prêtres et des lévites, afin de lui demander: « Toi, qui es-tu? »
20 And he confessed and not denied but confessed that I myself not am the Christ.
et qu'il déclara, (et il ne nia point) et qu'il déclara: « Pour moi, je ne suis point le Christ. »
21 And they asked him; What then? You yourself Elijah are And he says; Not I am. The prophet are you yourself? And he answered; No.
Et ils lui demandèrent: « Toi donc, qu'es-tu? Es-tu Élie? » Et il dit: « Je ne le suis point. — Es-tu le prophète? » — Et il répliqua: « Non. »
22 They said therefore to him; Who are you? That an answer we may give to those having sent us; what say you about yourself?
Ils lui dirent donc: « Qui es-tu? afin que nous donnions une réponse à ceux qui nous ont envoyés. Que dis-tu sur toi-même? »
23 He was saying; I myself [am] a voice crying in the wilderness; do make straight the way of [the] Lord; even as said Isaiah the prophet.
Il dit: « Je suis la voix de quelqu'un qui crie dans le désert: Redressez le chemin du Seigneur, comme a dit Ésaïe le prophète. »
24 And (those *k) sent were out from the Pharisees
Et on avait envoyé des gens pris parmi les pharisiens,
25 And they asked him and they said to him; Why then baptize you if you yourself not are the Christ (nor *N+kO) Elijah (nor *N+kO) the prophet?
et ils l'interrogèrent et lui dirent: « Pourquoi donc baptises-tu, si tu n'es pas le Christ, ni Élie, ni le prophète? »
26 Answered them John saying; I myself baptize with water; [in the] midst (now *k) of you (he has stood *NK+o) whom you yourselves not know,
Il leur répliqua: « Pour moi, je baptise avec de l'eau; au milieu de vous se trouve quelqu'un que vous ne connaissez pas, qui vient après moi,
27 (he himself is *k) the [One] after me coming, (who before me has been; *K) of whom not am I myself worthy that I may untie of Him the strap of the sandal.
de la sandale duquel je ne suis pas digne de délier la courroie. »
28 These things in (Bethany *N+kO) took place across the Jordan where was John baptizing.
Ces choses se passèrent à Béthanie au delà du Jourdain, là où Jean baptisait.
29 On the next day he sees (John *k) Jesus coming to him and says; Behold the Lamb of God, who is taking away the sin of the world.
Le lendemain il voit Jésus venant à lui, et il dit: « Voilà l'agneau de Dieu qui enlève le péché du monde;
30 He it is (concerning *N+kO) whom I myself said; After me comes a man who precedence over me has because before me He was.
c'est à propos de lui que j'ai dit: Après moi vient un homme qui a été avant moi, car il existait plus tôt que moi;
31 And I myself And I myself not knew Him, but that He may be revealed to Israel, because of this came I myself with water baptizing.
et pour moi je ne le connaissais point, mais c'est afin qu'il fût manifesté à Israël que je suis venu, baptisant avec de l'eau. »
32 And bore witness John saying that I have beheld the Spirit descending (as *N+kO) a dove out of heaven, and it remained upon Him.
Et Jean rendit témoignage en disant: « J'ai vu l'Esprit descendant du ciel comme une colombe, et il est demeuré sur lui;
33 And I myself And I myself not knew Him, but the [One] having sent me to baptize with water, He to me said; Upon whom maybe you may see the Spirit descending and abiding on Him, He is the [One] baptizing with [the] Spirit Holy.
et pour moi je ne le connaissais point, mais Celui qui m'a envoyé pour baptiser avec de l'eau, Celui-là même m'a dit: Celui sur lequel tu auras vu l'Esprit descendre et demeurer, c'est celui qui baptise avec l'esprit saint.
34 And I myself And I myself have seen and have borne witness that this is the (Son *NK+O) of God.
Et moi j'ai vu; et j'ai rendu ce témoignage: Celui-ci est le fils de Dieu. »
35 On the next day again had stood John and of the disciples of him two.
Le lendemain Jean se trouvait là derechef, ainsi que deux de ses disciples,
36 And having looked at Jesus walking he says; Behold the Lamb of God!
et ayant fixé ses regards sur Jésus qui passait, il dit: « Voilà l'agneau de Dieu. »
37 And heard the two disciples of Him [Him] speaking and they followed Jesus.
Et les deux disciples l'entendirent pendant qu'il parlait, et ils suivirent Jésus;
38 Having turned then Jesus and having beheld them following He says to them; What seek you? And they said to Him; Rabbi which is to say (meaning *N+kO) Teacher — where are You staying?
or Jésus s'étant retourné et les ayant vus qui le suivaient, il leur dit:
39 He says to them; do come and (you will behold. *N+kO) They went (therefore *NO) and saw where He abides, and with Him they stayed the day that; [The] hour (now *k) was about [the] tenth.
« Que cherchez-vous? » Mais ils lui dirent: « Rabbi (ce qui étant traduit veut dire Maître), où demeures-tu? »
40 Was Andrew the brother of Simon Peter one of the two which having heard from John and having followed Him.
Il leur dit: « Venez, et vous verrez. » Ils allèrent donc et ils virent où il demeurait, et ils demeurèrent ce jour-là auprès de lui; c'était environ la dixième heure.
41 Finds he (first *N+kO) the brother [his] own Simon and he says to him; We have found the Messiah, which is being translated Christ.
André, le frère de Simon Pierre, était l'un des deux disciples qui avaient entendu les paroles de Jean et qui l'avaient suivi;
42 (and *k) He led him to Jesus. Having looked at (now *k) him Jesus said; You yourself are Simon the son (of John; *N+KO) You yourself will be called Cephas which means Peter.
c'est lui qui trouve d'abord son propre frère Simon et qui lui dit: « Nous avons trouvé le Messie » (ce qui étant traduit signifie Christ). Il le conduisit auprès de Jésus;
43 On the next day He desired to go forth into Galilee And He finds Philip And says to him Jesus; do follow Me.
« Jésus ayant fixé sur lui ses regards dit: « Tu es Simon fils de Jean, tu seras appelé Céphas » (ce qui se traduit par Pierre).
44 Was now Philip from Bethsaida, from the city of Andrew and Peter.
« Le lendemain il voulut se rendre en Galilée, et il trouve Philippe, et Jésus lui dit: « Suis-moi. »
45 Finds Philip Nathanael and says to him; [Him] whom wrote of Moses in the Law also the prophets, we have found, Jesus son of Joseph of Nazareth.
Or Philippe était de Bethsaïda, de la ville d'André et de Pierre;
46 And said to him Nathanael; Out of Nazareth is able any good thing to be? Says to him Philip; do come and do see.
Philippe trouve Nathanaël et lui dit: « Celui dont Moïse a écrit dans la loi, ainsi que les prophètes, nous l'avons trouvé, c'est Jésus fils de Joseph, qui est de Nazareth. »
47 Saw Jesus Nathanael coming to Him and He says concerning him; Behold truly an Israelite in whom deceit not there is.
« Nathanaël lui dit: « Est-ce que de Nazareth il peut venir quelque chose de bon? » Philippe lui dit: « Viens et vois, »
48 Says to Him Nathanael; From where me know You? Answered Jesus and said to him; Before you Philip calling being under the fig tree I saw you.
Jésus vit Nathanaël venant à lui, et il dit de lui: « Voilà vraiment un Israélite dans lequel il n'y a pas de fraude. »
49 Answered to him Nathanael (and says: *k) Rabbi, You yourself are the Son of God, You yourself King are of Israel.
Nathanaël lui dit: « D'où me connais-tu? » Jésus lui répliqua: « Avant que Philippe t'appelât, pendant que tu étais sous le figuier je t'ai vu. »
50 Answered Jesus and said to him; Because I said to you (that *no) I saw you under the fig tree, believe you? Greater things than these You will see.
Nathanaël répliqua: « Rabbi, tu es le fils de Dieu, tu es le roi d'Israël. » Jésus lui répliqua: « Est-ce parce que je t'ai dit que je t'avais vu sous le figuier, que tu crois? Tu verras de plus grandes choses que celles-ci. »
51 And He says to him; Amen Amen I say to all of you (from now *K) you will behold the heaven having opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.
Et il lui dit: « En vérité, en vérité, je vous le dis: vous verrez le ciel ouvert et les anges de Dieu monter et redescendre sur le fils de l'homme. »
