John 8
1 (Jesus however went to the Mount of Olives. *KO)
ιησους δε επορευθη εις το ορος των ελαιων
2 (Early in the morning then again He came into the temple, and all the people were coming to Him, And having sat down He was teaching them. *KO)
ορθρου δε παλιν παρεγενετο εις το ιερον και πας ο λαος ηρχετο προς αυτον και καθισας εδιδασκεν αυτους
3 (Bring now the scribes and the Pharisees *KO) (to him *K) (a woman *KO) (in *K+o) (adultery *KO) (having been grasped *K+o) (and having set her in [the] midst *KO)
αγουσιν δε οι γραμματεις και οι φαρισαιοι προς αυτον γυναικα εν μοιχεια κατειλημμενην και στησαντες αυτην εν μεσω
4 (they say to Him, *KO) (testing *O) (Teacher, this woman *KO) (was grasped *K+o) (in *ko) ([the] very act committing adultery; *KO)
λεγουσιν αυτω διδασκαλε αυτη η γυνη κατειληφθη επαυτοφωρω μοιχευομενη
5 (In now the law us Moses commanded such *KO) (to be stoned; *K+o) (You yourself therefore what say You? *KO)
εν δε τω νομω μωσης ημιν ενετειλατο τας τοιαυτας λιθοβολεισθαι συ ουν τι λεγεις
6 (This now they were saying testing Him so that they may have [grounds] to accuse Him. But Jesus down having stooped with [His] finger *KO) (he was writing *K+o) (on the ground. *KO) (not pretending *K)
τουτο δε ελεγον πειραζοντες αυτον ινα εχωσιν κατηγορειν αυτου ο δε ιησους κατω κυψας τω δακτυλω εγραφεν εις την γην μη προσποιουμενος
7 (As however they were continuing asking Him, *KO) (having stood up *K+o) (also *o) (He said *KO) (to *K) (them *K+o) (The [one] sinless among you, *KO) ([the] first *K+o) (at her *KO) (he should cast stone; *KO)
ως δε επεμενον ερωτωντες αυτον ανακυψας ειπεν προς αυτους ο αναμαρτητος υμων πρωτος τον λιθον επ αυτη βαλετω
8 (And again being stooped low being stooped low He was writing on the ground. *KO)
και παλιν κατω κυψας εγραφεν εις την γην
9 (And having heard *KO) (and by conscience being convicted *K) (they were going away one by one having begun from the elder ones *KO) (until of the last *K) (and He was left alone, *KO) (Jesus *K) (and the woman in [the] midst *KO) (already standing. *K+o)
οι δε ακουσαντες και υπο της συνειδησεως ελεγχομενοι εξηρχοντο εις καθ εις αρξαμενοι απο των πρεσβυτερων εως των εσχατων και κατελειφθη μονος ο ιησους και η γυνη εν μεσω εστωσα
10 (Having lifted up then Jesus *KO) (and no one having seen only woman *K) (said to her, *KO) (the *K) (woman, *K+o) (where are they *KO) (they the accusers of you *K) (No [one] you has condemned? *KO)
ανακυψας δε ο ιησους και μηδενα θεασαμενος πλην της γυναικος ειπεν αυτη η γυνη που εισιν εκεινοι οι κατηγοροι σου ουδεις σε κατεκρινεν
11 (And she said, No [one], Sir. Said then *KO) (to her *K) (Jesus, Neither I myself you *KO) (do condemn; *K+O) (do go and *KO) (from now [on] *O) (no more do sin. *KO)
η δε ειπεν ουδεις κυριε ειπεν δε αυτη ο ιησους ουδε εγω σε κατακρινω πορευου και μηκετι αμαρτανε
12 Again therefore to them spoke Jesus saying; I myself am the light of the world. the [one] following Me myself certainly not (may walk *N+kO) in the darkness but will have the light of life.
παλιν ουν ο ιησους αυτοις ελαλησεν λεγων εγω ειμι το φως του κοσμου ο ακολουθων εμοι ου μη περιπατησει εν τη σκοτια αλλ εξει το φως της ζωης
13 Said therefore to Him the Pharisees; You yourself concerning Yourself are bearing witness; the testimony of You not is true.
ειπον ουν αυτω οι φαρισαιοι συ περι σεαυτου μαρτυρεις η μαρτυρια σου ουκ εστιν αληθης
14 Answered Jesus and said to them; Even if Even if I myself shall be bearing witness concerning Myself, true is the testimony of Mine, because I know from where I came and where I am going; You yourselves however not know from where I come (or *N+kO) where I am going.
απεκριθη ιησους και ειπεν αυτοις καν εγω μαρτυρω περι εμαυτου αληθης εστιν η μαρτυρια μου οτι οιδα ποθεν ηλθον και που υπαγω υμεις δε ουκ οιδατε ποθεν ερχομαι και που υπαγω
15 You yourselves according to the flesh judge, I myself not am judging no [one].
υμεις κατα την σαρκα κρινετε εγω ου κρινω ουδενα
16 And if shall judge however I myself, judgment My (true *N+kO) is, because alone not I am, but I myself and the having sent Me Father.
και εαν κρινω δε εγω η κρισις η εμη αληθης εστιν οτι μονος ουκ ειμι αλλ εγω και ο πεμψας με πατηρ
17 And in the law also of you it has been written that of two men the testimony true is.
και εν τω νομω δε τω υμετερω γεγραπται οτι δυο ανθρωπων η μαρτυρια αληθης εστιν
18 I myself am the [One] bearing witness concerning Myself, and bears witness concerning Me the having sent Me Father.
εγω ειμι ο μαρτυρων περι εμαυτου και μαρτυρει περι εμου ο πεμψας με πατηρ
19 They were saying therefore to Him; Where is the Father of You? Answered Jesus; Neither Me myself you know nor [know] the Father of Mine. If Me myself you had known also the Father of Mine then would you have known.
ελεγον ουν αυτω που εστιν ο πατηρ σου απεκριθη ο ιησους ουτε εμε οιδατε ουτε τον πατερα μου ει εμε ηδειτε και τον πατερα μου ηδειτε αν
20 These declarations He spoke (Jesus *k) in the treasury teaching in the temple, and no [one] seized Him, for not yet had come the hour of Him.
ταυτα τα ρηματα ελαλησεν ο ιησους εν τω γαζοφυλακιω διδασκων εν τω ιερω και ουδεις επιασεν αυτον οτι ουπω εληλυθει η ωρα αυτου
21 He said then again to them (Jesus: *k) I myself am going away and you will seek Me and in the sin of you you will die; where I myself go you yourselves not are able to come.
ειπεν ουν παλιν αυτοις ο ιησους εγω υπαγω και ζητησετε με και εν τη αμαρτια υμων αποθανεισθε οπου εγω υπαγω υμεις ου δυνασθε ελθειν
22 Were saying therefore the Jews; surely not ever will He kill Himself, for He says; Where I myself go you yourselves not are able to come’?
ελεγον ουν οι ιουδαιοι μητι αποκτενει εαυτον οτι λεγει οπου εγω υπαγω υμεις ου δυνασθε ελθειν
23 And (He was saying *N+kO) to them; You yourselves from below are, I myself from above am; You yourselves of this the world are, I myself not am of world this.
και ειπεν αυτοις υμεις εκ των κατω εστε εγω εκ των ανω ειμι υμεις εκ του κοσμου τουτου εστε εγω ουκ ειμι εκ του κοσμου τουτου
24 I said therefore to you that you will die in the sins of you; only for unless you shall believe that I myself am [He], you will die in the sins of you.
ειπον ουν υμιν οτι αποθανεισθε εν ταις αμαρτιαις υμων εαν γαρ μη πιστευσητε οτι εγω ειμι αποθανεισθε εν ταις αμαρτιαις υμων
25 They were saying therefore to Him; You yourself who are? (and *k) Said to them Jesus; From the beginning ([which] one *NK+o) also I am saying to you.
ελεγον ουν αυτω συ τις ει και ειπεν αυτοις ο ιησους την αρχην ο τι και λαλω υμιν
26 Many things I have concerning you to say and to judge; but the [One] having sent Me true is, and I myself and I myself what I have heard from Him, these things (I say *N+kO) to the world.
πολλα εχω περι υμων λαλειν και κρινειν αλλ ο πεμψας με αληθης εστιν καγω α ηκουσα παρ αυτου ταυτα λεγω εις τον κοσμον
27 Not they understood that [about] the Father to them He was speaking.
ουκ εγνωσαν οτι τον πατερα αυτοις ελεγεν
28 Said therefore to them Jesus; When you may have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I myself am [He], and from Myself I do no [thing], but even as taught Me the Father (of mine *ko) these things I speak.
ειπεν ουν αυτοις ο ιησους οταν υψωσητε τον υιον του ανθρωπου τοτε γνωσεσθε οτι εγω ειμι και απ εμαυτου ποιω ουδεν αλλα καθως εδιδαξεν με ο πατηρ μου ταυτα λαλω
29 And the [One] having sent Me with Me is; not He has left Me alone (Father *K) because I myself the [things] pleasing to Him do always.
και ο πεμψας με μετ εμου εστιν ουκ αφηκεν με μονον ο πατηρ οτι εγω τα αρεστα αυτω ποιω παντοτε
30 These things when he is speaking many believed in Him.
ταυτα αυτου λαλουντος πολλοι επιστευσαν εις αυτον
31 Was saying therefore Jesus to the having believed in Him Jews; If you yourselves shall abide in the word of Mine, truly disciples of Mine you are,
ελεγεν ουν ο ιησους προς τους πεπιστευκοτας αυτω ιουδαιους εαν υμεις μεινητε εν τω λογω τω εμω αληθως μαθηται μου εστε
32 And you will know the truth, and the truth will set free you.
και γνωσεσθε την αληθειαν και η αληθεια ελευθερωσει υμας
33 They answered (unto *no) (Him; *N+kO) Seed of Abraham we are and to no [one] have we been under bondage ever; How You yourself say that Free you will become’?
απεκριθησαν αυτω σπερμα αβρααμ εσμεν και ουδενι δεδουλευκαμεν πωποτε πως συ λεγεις οτι ελευθεροι γενησεσθε
34 Answered them Jesus; Amen Amen I say to you that everyone who is practicing the sin, a slave is of the sin.
απεκριθη αυτοις ο ιησους αμην αμην λεγω υμιν οτι πας ο ποιων την αμαρτιαν δουλος εστιν της αμαρτιας
35 Now the slave not abides in the house to the age; the (but *o) son abides to the age. (aiōn g165)
ο δε δουλος ου μενει εν τη οικια εις τον αιωνα ο υιος μενει εις τον αιωνα (aiōn g165)
36 If therefore the Son you shall set free, indeed free you will be.
εαν ουν ο υιος υμας ελευθερωση οντως ελευθεροι εσεσθε
37 I know that seed of Abraham you are; but you seek Me to kill, because the word of Mine not receives a place in you.
οιδα οτι σπερμα αβρααμ εστε αλλα ζητειτε με αποκτειναι οτι ο λογος ο εμος ου χωρει εν υμιν
38 (Those which *N+kO) I myself have seen with the Father (of mine *K) I speak; also you yourselves therefore (what things *N+kO) (you have heard *N+KO) from (the father *N+kO) (of you *K) you do.
εγω ο εωρακα παρα τω πατρι μου λαλω και υμεις ουν ο εωρακατε παρα τω πατρι υμων ποιειτε
39 They answered and they said to Him; The father of us Abraham is. Says to them Jesus; If children of Abraham (you are, *N+kO) the works of Abraham (you perform *NK+o) (then would. *k)
απεκριθησαν και ειπον αυτω ο πατηρ ημων αβρααμ εστιν λεγει αυτοις ο ιησους ει τεκνα του αβρααμ ητε τα εργα του αβρααμ εποιειτε αν
40 now however you seek Me to kill, a man who the truth to you has spoken that I heard from God; This Abraham not did.
νυν δε ζητειτε με αποκτειναι ανθρωπον ος την αληθειαν υμιν λελαληκα ην ηκουσα παρα του θεου τουτο αβρααμ ουκ εποιησεν
41 You yourselves are doing the works of the father of you. They said therefore to Him; We ourselves of sexual immorality not (have been born; *NK+o) one Father we have God.
υμεις ποιειτε τα εργα του πατρος υμων ειπον ουν αυτω ημεις εκ πορνειας ου γεγεννημεθα ενα πατερα εχομεν τον θεον
42 Said (therefore *K) to them Jesus; If God Father of you were, you were loving then would Me myself; I myself for from God came forth and am here. not for by Myself have I come, but He Me sent.
ειπεν αυτοις ο ιησους ει ο θεος πατηρ υμων ην ηγαπατε αν εμε εγω γαρ εκ του θεου εξηλθον και ηκω ουδε γαρ απ εμαυτου εληλυθα αλλ εκεινος με απεστειλεν
43 Because of why the speech of Mine not do you understand? Because not you are able to hear the word of Mine.
διατι την λαλιαν την εμην ου γινωσκετε οτι ου δυνασθε ακουειν τον λογον τον εμον
44 You yourselves of the father the devil are and the desires of the father of you you desire to do. He a murderer was from [the] beginning and in the truth not it has stood, because not there is truth in him. Whenever he may speak falsehood, from [his] own he speaks, for a liar he is and the father of it.
υμεις εκ πατρος του διαβολου εστε και τας επιθυμιας του πατρος υμων θελετε ποιειν εκεινος ανθρωποκτονος ην απ αρχης και εν τη αληθεια ουχ εστηκεν οτι ουκ εστιν αληθεια εν αυτω οταν λαλη το ψευδος εκ των ιδιων λαλει οτι ψευστης εστιν και ο πατηρ αυτου
45 I myself now because the truth speak, not you do believe Me!
εγω δε οτι την αληθειαν λεγω ου πιστευετε μοι
46 Which of you convicts me concerning sin? If (now *k) [the] truth I speak, because of why you yourselves not do believe Me?
τις εξ υμων ελεγχει με περι αμαρτιας ει δε αληθειαν λεγω διατι υμεις ου πιστευετε μοι
47 He who is of God the declarations of God hears; because of this you yourselves not hear, because of God not you are.
ο ων εκ του θεου τα ρηματα του θεου ακουει δια τουτο υμεις ουκ ακουετε οτι εκ του θεου ουκ εστε
48 Answered (therefore *K) the Jews and said to Him; Surely rightly say we ourselves that a Samaritan are You yourself and a demon have?
απεκριθησαν ουν οι ιουδαιοι και ειπον αυτω ου καλως λεγομεν ημεις οτι σαμαρειτης ει συ και δαιμονιον εχεις
49 Answered Jesus; I myself a demon not have, but I honor the Father of Mine, and you yourselves dishonor Me.
απεκριθη ιησους εγω δαιμονιον ουκ εχω αλλα τιμω τον πατερα μου και υμεις ατιμαζετε με
50 I myself now not seek the glory of Mine; there is One seeking [it] and judging.
εγω δε ου ζητω την δοξαν μου εστιν ο ζητων και κρινων
51 Amen Amen I say to you; if anyone My word shall keep, death certainly not shall he see to the age. (aiōn g165)
αμην αμην λεγω υμιν εαν τις τον λογον τον εμον τηρηση θανατον ου μη θεωρηση εις τον αιωνα (aiōn g165)
52 Said therefore to Him the Jews; Now we have known that a demon You have. Abraham died and the prophets, and You yourself say; If anyone the word of Mine shall keep, certainly not (shall he taste *N+kO) of death to the age. (aiōn g165)
ειπον ουν αυτω οι ιουδαιοι νυν εγνωκαμεν οτι δαιμονιον εχεις αβρααμ απεθανεν και οι προφηται και συ λεγεις εαν τις τον λογον μου τηρηση ου μη γευσεται θανατου εις τον αιωνα (aiōn g165)
53 Surely not You yourself greater are than the father of us Abraham, who died? And the prophets died! Whom yourself (you yourself *k) make You?
μη συ μειζων ει του πατρος ημων αβρααμ οστις απεθανεν και οι προφηται απεθανον τινα σεαυτον συ ποιεις
54 Answered Jesus; If I myself (shall glorify *N+kO) Myself, the glory of Mine no [thing] is; it is the Father of Mine who is glorifying Me [of] whom you yourselves say that God (of us *N+KO) He is,
απεκριθη ιησους εαν εγω δοξαζω εμαυτον η δοξα μου ουδεν εστιν εστιν ο πατηρ μου ο δοξαζων με ον υμεις λεγετε οτι θεος υμων εστιν
55 And not you have known Him, I myself however know Him. And if And if I shall say that not I know Him, I will be like (you *N+kO) a liar; But I know Him and the word of Him I keep.
και ουκ εγνωκατε αυτον εγω δε οιδα αυτον και εαν ειπω οτι ουκ οιδα αυτον εσομαι ομοιος υμων ψευστης αλλ οιδα αυτον και τον λογον αυτου τηρω
56 Abraham the father of you rejoiced in that he may see day of Mine and he saw and rejoiced.
αβρααμ ο πατηρ υμων ηγαλλιασατο ινα ιδη την ημεραν την εμην και ειδεν και εχαρη
57 Said therefore the Jews to Him; Fifty years [old] not yet are You, and Abraham You have seen?
ειπον ουν οι ιουδαιοι προς αυτον πεντηκοντα ετη ουπω εχεις και αβρααμ εωρακας
58 Said to them Jesus; Amen Amen I say to you; before Abraham being I myself am.
ειπεν αυτοις ο ιησους αμην αμην λεγω υμιν πριν αβρααμ γενεσθαι εγω ειμι
59 They took up therefore stones that they might cast at Him. Jesus however hid Himself and He went forth out of the temple (having passed through through midst of them and He was passing by thus. *K)
ηραν ουν λιθους ινα βαλωσιν επ αυτον ιησους δε εκρυβη και εξηλθεν εκ του ιερου διελθων δια μεσου αυτων και παρηγεν ουτως
