John 2
1 And on the day third a wedding took place in Cana of Galilee, and was the mother of Jesus there;
En op den derden dag was er een bruiloft te Kana in Galilea; en de moeder van Jezus was aldaar.
2 Was invited then also Jesus and the disciples of Him to the wedding.
En Jezus was ook genood, en Zijn discipelen, tot de bruiloft.
3 And when was running out [the] wine says the mother of Jesus to Him; Wine not they have.
En als er wijn ontbrak, zeide de moeder van Jezus tot Hem: Zij hebben geen wijn.
4 (And *no) says to her Jesus; What to Me myself and to you, woman? Not yet is come the hour for Me.
Jezus zeide tot haar: Vrouw, wat heb Ik met u te doen? Mijn ure is nog niet gekomen.
5 Says the mother of Him to the servants; (Whatever anyhow *NK+o) maybe He may say to you, do perform.
Zijn moeder zeide tot de dienaars: Zo wat Hij ulieden zal zeggen, doet dat.
6 There were now there of stone water jars six according to the purification of the Jews standing, having space for metretae two or three.
En aldaar waren zes stenen watervaten gesteld, naar de reiniging der Joden, elk houdende twee of drie metreten.
7 Says to them Jesus; do fill the jars with water. And they filled them up to [the] brim.
Jezus zeide tot hen: Vult de watervaten met water. En zij vulden ze tot boven toe.
8 And He says to them; do draw out now and do carry to the master of the feast. (they *no) (then *N+kO) carried [it].
En Hij zeide tot hen: Schept nu, en draagt het tot den hofmeester; en zij droegen het.
9 When then tasted the master of the feast the water wine became and not he knew from where it is — the however servants knew which having drawn the water — calls the bridegroom the master of the feast
Als nu de hofmeester het water, dat wijn geworden was, geproefd had (en hij wist niet, van waar de wijn was; maar de dienaren, die het water geschept hadden, wisten het), zo riep de hofmeester den bruidegom.
10 and says to him; Every man first the good wine sets out, and when they may have drunk freely (then *ko) the inferior; you yourself have kept the good wine until now.
En zeide tot hem: Alle man zet eerst den goeden wijn op, en wanneer men wel gedronken heeft, alsdan den minderen; maar gij hebt den goeden wijn tot nu toe bewaard.
11 This did (the *k) beginning of the signs Jesus in Cana of Galilee and He revealed the glory of Him, and believed in Him the disciples of Him.
Dit beginsel der tekenen heeft Jezus gedaan te Kana in Galilea, en heeft Zijn heerlijkheid geopenbaard; en Zijn discipelen geloofden in Hem.
12 After this He went down to Capernaum He himself and the mother of Him and the brothers of Him and the disciples of Him, and there they stayed not many days.
Daarna ging Hij af naar Kapernaum, Hij, en Zijn moeder, en Zijn broeders, en Zijn discipelen; en zij bleven aldaar niet vele dagen.
13 And near was the Passover of the Jews, and went up to Jerusalem Jesus.
En het pascha der Joden was nabij, en Jezus ging op naar Jeruzalem.
14 And He found in the temple those selling oxen and sheep and doves and the money changers sitting,
En Hij vond in den tempel, die ossen, en schapen, en duiven verkochten, en de wisselaars daar zittende.
15 And having made a whip of cords all He drove out from the temple, both the sheep and the oxen, and of the money changers He poured out (the coin, *NK+o) and the tables (He overthrew, *N+kO)
En een gesel van touwtjes gemaakt hebbende, dreef Hij ze allen uit den tempel, ook de schapen en de ossen; en het geld der wisselaren stortte Hij uit, en keerde de tafelen om.
16 And to those doves selling He said; do take these things from here, not do make the house of the Father of Mine a house of trade.
En Hij zeide tot degenen, die de duiven verkochten: Neemt deze dingen van hier weg; maakt niet het huis Mijns Vaders tot een huis van koophandel.
17 Remembered (now *k) the disciples of Him that written it is: The zeal of the house of You (will consume *N+kO) Me.
En Zijn discipelen werden indachtig, dat er geschreven is: De ijver van Uw huis heeft mij verslonden.
18 Answered therefore the Jews and said to Him; What sign show You to us that these things You do?
De Joden antwoordden dan, en zeiden tot Hem: Wat teken toont Gij ons, dat Gij deze dingen doet?
19 Answered Jesus and said to them; do destroy temple this, and in three days I will raise up it.
Jezus antwoordde en zeide tot hen: Breekt dezen tempel, en in drie dagen zal Ik denzelven oprichten.
20 Said therefore the Jews; For forty and six years was built temple this, and You yourself in three days will raise up it?
De Joden zeiden dan: Zes en veertig jaren is over dezen tempel gebouwd, en Gij, zult Gij dien in drie dagen oprichten?
21 He however was speaking concerning the temple of the body of Him.
Maar Hij zeide dit van den tempel Zijns lichaams.
22 When therefore He was raised up out from [the] dead, remembered the disciples of Him that this He was saying (to them *k) and they believed in the Scripture and in the word (that *N+kO) had spoken Jesus.
Daarom, als Hij opgestaan was van de doden, werden Zijn discipelen gedachtig, dat Hij dit tot hen gezegd had, en zij geloofden de Schrift, en het woord, dat Jezus gesproken had.
23 When then He was in Jerusalem in the Passover in the Feast, many believed in the name of Him beholding of Him the signs that He was doing.
En als Hij te Jeruzalem was, op het pascha, in het feest, geloofden velen in Zijn Naam, ziende Zijn tekenen, die Hij deed.
24 On His part however Jesus not was entrusting (Him[self] *N+kO) to them because of His knowing all [men]
Maar Jezus Zelf betrouwde hun Zichzelven niet, omdat Hij hen allen kende,
25 and because no need He had that anyone may testify concerning the man; He Himself for was knowing what was in the man.
En omdat Hij niet van node had, dat iemand getuigen zou van den mens; want Hij Zelf wist, wat in den mens was.
