John 18
1 These things having said Jesus went out with the disciples of Him beyond the winter stream (of the *N+kO) of Kidron where there was a garden into which entered He himself and the disciples of Him.
ತಾಃ ಕಥಾಃ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಃ ಶಿಷ್ಯಾನಾದಾಯ ಕಿದ್ರೋನ್ನಾಮಕಂ ಸ್ರೋತ ಉತ್ತೀರ್ಯ್ಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯೈಃ ಸಹ ತತ್ರತ್ಯೋದ್ಯಾನಂ ಪ್ರಾವಿಶತ್|
2 Knew now also Judas who is delivering up Him the place, because often gathered together Jesus there with the disciples of Him.
ಕಿನ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಘಾತಿಯಿಹೂದಾಸ್ತತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಪರಿಚೀಯತೇ ಯತೋ ಯೀಶುಃ ಶಿಷ್ಯೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಕದಾಚಿತ್ ತತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಮ್ ಅಗಚ್ಛತ್|
3 Therefore Judas having procured the cohort and from the chief priests and from the Pharisees officers comes there with lanterns and torches and weapons.
ತದಾ ಸ ಯಿಹೂದಾಃ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಣಂ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾನಾಂ ಫಿರೂಶಿನಾಞ್ಚ ಪದಾತಿಗಣಞ್ಚ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ಪ್ರದೀಪಾನ್ ಉಲ್ಕಾನ್ ಅಸ್ತ್ರಾಣಿ ಚಾದಾಯ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಸ್ಥಾನ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತವಾನ್|
4 Jesus (therefore *NK+o) knowing all things that are coming upon Him (he went out *N+kO) (also *no) (speaks *N+kO) to them; Whom seek you?
ಸ್ವಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ಯದ್ ಘಟಿಷ್ಯತೇ ತಜ್ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುರಗ್ರೇಸರಃ ಸನ್ ತಾನಪೃಚ್ಛತ್ ಕಂ ಗವೇಷಯಥ?
5 They answered to Him; Jesus of Nazareth. He says to them (Jesus: *KO) I myself am [He]. Had been standing now also Judas who is delivering up Him with them.
ತೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವದನ್, ನಾಸರತೀಯಂ ಯೀಶುಂ; ತತೋ ಯೀಶುರವಾದೀದ್ ಅಹಮೇವ ಸಃ; ತೈಃ ಸಹ ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಘಾತೀ ಯಿಹೂದಾಶ್ಚಾತಿಷ್ಠತ್|
6 When therefore He said to them (that: *k) I myself am [He], they drew toward the back and fell to [the] ground.
ತದಾಹಮೇವ ಸ ತಸ್ಯೈತಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವೈವ ತೇ ಪಶ್ಚಾದೇತ್ಯ ಭೂಮೌ ಪತಿತಾಃ|
7 Again therefore He questioned them: Whom seek you? And they said; Jesus of Nazareth.
ತತೋ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪುನರಪಿ ಪೃಷ್ಠವಾನ್ ಕಂ ಗವೇಷಯಥ? ತತಸ್ತೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವದನ್ ನಾಸರತೀಯಂ ಯೀಶುಂ|
8 Answered Jesus; I have told you that I myself am [He]. If therefore Me myself you seek, do allow these to go away;
ತದಾ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುದಿತವಾನ್ ಅಹಮೇವ ಸ ಇಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಮಚಕಥಮ್; ಯದಿ ಮಾಮನ್ವಿಚ್ಛಥ ತರ್ಹೀಮಾನ್ ಗನ್ತುಂ ಮಾ ವಾರಯತ|
9 so that may be fulfilled the word that He had spoken that Those whom You have given Me not I lost of them not [one].
ಇತ್ಥಂ ಭೂತೇ ಮಹ್ಯಂ ಯಾಲ್ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಅದದಾಸ್ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಏಕಮಪಿ ನಾಹಾರಯಮ್ ಇಮಾಂ ಯಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಸ ಸ್ವಯಮಕಥಯತ್ ಸಾ ಕಥಾ ಸಫಲಾ ಜಾತಾ|
10 Simon then Peter having a sword drew it and he struck the of the high priest servant and cut off of him the (ear *N+kO) right; Was now name of the servant Malchus.
ತದಾ ಶಿಮೋನ್ಪಿತರಸ್ಯ ನಿಕಟೇ ಖಙ್ಗಲ್ಸ್ಥಿತೇಃ ಸ ತಂ ನಿಷ್ಕೋಷಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಸ್ಯ ಮಾಲ್ಖನಾಮಾನಂ ದಾಸಮ್ ಆಹತ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ದಕ್ಷಿಣಕರ್ಣಂ ಛಿನ್ನವಾನ್|
11 Said therefore Jesus to Peter; do put the sword (of you *k) into the sheath. The cup which has given Me the Father certainly surely shall I drink it?
ತತೋ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪಿತರಮ್ ಅವದತ್, ಖಙ್ಗಂ ಕೋಷೇ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯ ಮಮ ಪಿತಾ ಮಹ್ಯಂ ಪಾತುಂ ಯಂ ಕಂಸಮ್ ಅದದಾತ್ ತೇನಾಹಂ ಕಿಂ ನ ಪಾಸ್ಯಾಮಿ?
12 Then the cohort and the commander and the officers of the Jews took hold of Jesus and bound Him
ತದಾ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಣಃ ಸೇನಾಪತಿ ರ್ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ಪದಾತಯಶ್ಚ ಯೀಶುಂ ಘೃತ್ವಾ ಬದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಹಾನನ್ನಾಮ್ನಃ ಕಿಯಫಾಃ ಶ್ವಶುರಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಪ್ರಥಮಮ್ ಅನಯನ್|
13 and (they brought away *N+kO) (him *k) to Annas first; he was for father-in-law of Caiaphas who was high priest on the year same.
ಸ ಕಿಯಫಾಸ್ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ವತ್ಸರೇ ಮಹಾಯಾಜತ್ವಪದೇ ನಿಯುಕ್ತಃ
14 Was now Caiaphas the [one] having given counsel to the Jews that it is profitable for one man (to die *N+kO) for the people.
ಸನ್ ಸಾಧಾರಣಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಮಙ್ಗಲಾರ್ಥಮ್ ಏಕಜನಸ್ಯ ಮರಣಮುಚಿತಮ್ ಇತಿ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಮ್ ಅಮನ್ತ್ರಯತ್|
15 Were following now after Jesus Simon Peter and (the *ko) other disciple. the Now disciple that [one] was known to the high priest also he entered with Jesus into the court of the high priest.
ತದಾ ಶಿಮೋನ್ಪಿತರೋಽನ್ಯೈಕಶಿಷ್ಯಶ್ಚ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ ಅಗಚ್ಛತಾಂ ತಸ್ಯಾನ್ಯಶಿಷ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕೇನ ಪರಿಚಿತತ್ವಾತ್ ಸ ಯೀಶುನಾ ಸಹ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಸ್ಯಾಟ್ಟಾಲಿಕಾಂ ಪ್ರಾವಿಶತ್|
16 But Peter had stood at the door outside. Went out therefore the disciple other (who *N+kO) (was *k) known (to the high priest *N+kO) and spoke to the doorkeeper and brought in Peter.
ಕಿನ್ತು ಪಿತರೋ ಬಹಿರ್ದ್ವಾರಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇಽತಿಷ್ಠದ್ ಅತಏವ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕೇನ ಪರಿಚಿತಃ ಸ ಶಿಷ್ಯಃ ಪುನರ್ಬಹಿರ್ಗತ್ವಾ ದೌವಾಯಿಕಾಯೈ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಪಿತರಮ್ ಅಭ್ಯನ್ತರಮ್ ಆನಯತ್|
17 Says therefore to Peter the servant girl the doorkeeper: Surely also you yourself of the disciples are of the man this? Says he; Not I am.
ತದಾ ಸ ದ್ವಾರರಕ್ಷಿಕಾ ಪಿತರಮ್ ಅವದತ್ ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಂ ನ ತಸ್ಯ ಮಾನವಸ್ಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯಃ? ತತಃ ಸೋವದದ್ ಅಹಂ ನ ಭವಾಮಿ|
18 Had been standing now the servants and the officers a fire of coals having made, for cold it was and they were warming themselves; Was now (also *no) Peter with them having stood and warming himself.
ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಯತ್ಸ್ಥಾನೇ ದಾಸಾಃ ಪದಾತಯಶ್ಚ ಶೀತಹೇತೋರಙ್ಗಾರೈ ರ್ವಹ್ನಿಂ ಪ್ರಜ್ವಾಲ್ಯ ತಾಪಂ ಸೇವಿತವನ್ತಸ್ತತ್ಸ್ಥಾನೇ ಪಿತರಸ್ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ತೈಃ ಸಹ ವಹ್ನಿತಾಪಂ ಸೇವಿತುಮ್ ಆರಭತ|
19 Then the high priest questioned Jesus concerning the disciples of Him and concerning the teaching of Him.
ತದಾ ಶಿಷ್ಯೇಷೂಪದೇಶೇ ಚ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕೇನ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪೃಷ್ಟಃ
20 Answered to him Jesus; I myself openly (have spoken *N+kO) to the world. I myself always taught in (the *k) synagogue and in the temple where (all *N+KO) the Jews come together, and in secret I spoke not [anything].
ಸನ್ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಸಮಕ್ಷಂ ಕಥಾಮಕಥಯಂ ಗುಪ್ತಂ ಕಾಮಪಿ ಕಥಾಂ ನ ಕಥಯಿತ್ವಾ ಯತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾಃ ಸತತಂ ಗಚ್ಛನ್ತಿ ತತ್ರ ಭಜನಗೇಹೇ ಮನ್ದಿರೇ ಚಾಶಿಕ್ಷಯಂ|
21 Why Me (do you ask? do ask *N+kO) those having heard what I spoke to them. behold they know what said I myself.
ಮತ್ತಃ ಕುತಃ ಪೃಚ್ಛಸಿ? ಯೇ ಜನಾ ಮದುಪದೇಶಮ್ ಅಶೃಣ್ವನ್ ತಾನೇವ ಪೃಚ್ಛ ಯದ್ಯದ್ ಅವದಂ ತೇ ತತ್ ಜಾನಿನ್ತ|
22 These things now of Him having said one already standing by of the officers gave a blow with the palm to Jesus having said; Thus answer You to the high priest?
ತದೇತ್ಥಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುದಿತತ್ವಾತ್ ನಿಕಟಸ್ಥಪದಾತಿ ರ್ಯೀಶುಂ ಚಪೇಟೇನಾಹತ್ಯ ವ್ಯಾಹರತ್ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಮ್ ಏವಂ ಪ್ರತಿವದಸಿ?
23 Answered to him Jesus; If evil I spoke, do bear witness concerning the evil; if however rightly, why Me strike you?
ತತೋ ಯೀಶುಃ ಪ್ರತಿಗದಿತವಾನ್ ಯದ್ಯಯಥಾರ್ಥಮ್ ಅಚಕಥಂ ತರ್ಹಿ ತಸ್ಯಾಯಥಾರ್ಥಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಂ ದೇಹಿ, ಕಿನ್ತು ಯದಿ ಯಥಾರ್ಥಂ ತರ್ಹಿ ಕುತೋ ಹೇತೋ ರ್ಮಾಮ್ ಅತಾಡಯಃ?
24 Sent then Him Annas bound to Caiaphas the high priest.
ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಂ ಹಾನನ್ ಸಬನ್ಧನಂ ತಂ ಕಿಯಫಾಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಪ್ರೈಷಯತ್|
25 Was now Simon Peter already standing and warming himself. They said therefore to him; Surely also you yourself of the disciples of Him are? Denied (therefore *O) he and said; Not I am.
ಶಿಮೋನ್ಪಿತರಸ್ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ವಹ್ನಿತಾಪಂ ಸೇವತೇ, ಏತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಸಮಯೇ ಕಿಯನ್ತಸ್ತಮ್ ಅಪೃಚ್ಛನ್ ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಮ್ ಏತಸ್ಯ ಜನಸ್ಯ ಶಿಷ್ಯೋ ನ? ತತಃ ಸೋಪಹ್ನುತ್ಯಾಬ್ರವೀದ್ ಅಹಂ ನ ಭವಾಮಿ|
26 Says one of the servants of the high priest kinsman being [of him] of whom cut off Peter the ear; Surely I myself you saw in the garden with Him?
ತದಾ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಸ್ಯ ಯಸ್ಯ ದಾಸಸ್ಯ ಪಿತರಃ ಕರ್ಣಮಚ್ಛಿನತ್ ತಸ್ಯ ಕುಟುಮ್ಬಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುದಿತವಾನ್ ಉದ್ಯಾನೇ ತೇನ ಸಹ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ತಂ ತ್ವಾಂ ಕಿಂ ನಾಪಶ್ಯಂ?
27 Again then denied Peter, and immediately a rooster crowed.
ಕಿನ್ತು ಪಿತರಃ ಪುನರಪಹ್ನುತ್ಯ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್; ತದಾನೀಂ ಕುಕ್ಕುಟೋಽರೌತ್|
28 They are leading then Jesus from Caiaphas into the Praetorium; It was now (early. *N+kO) and they themselves not entered into the Praetorium so that not they may be defiled but (so that *K) may eat the Passover.
ತದನನ್ತರಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯೂಷೇ ತೇ ಕಿಯಫಾಗೃಹಾದ್ ಅಧಿಪತೇ ರ್ಗೃಹಂ ಯೀಶುಮ್ ಅನಯನ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಯಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಅಶುಚಿತ್ವೇ ಜಾತೇ ತೈ ರ್ನಿಸ್ತಾರೋತ್ಸವೇ ನ ಭೋಕ್ತವ್ಯಂ, ತಸ್ಯ ಭಯಾದ್ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾಸ್ತದ್ಗೃಹಂ ನಾವಿಶನ್|
29 Went therefore Pilate (out *NO) to them and (said; *N+kO) What accusation bring you against man this?
ಅಪರಂ ಪೀಲಾತೋ ಬಹಿರಾಗತ್ಯ ತಾನ್ ಪೃಷ್ಠವಾನ್ ಏತಸ್ಯ ಮನುಷ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಕಂ ದೋಷಂ ವದಥ?
30 They answered and they said to him; only except were He (evil *N+KO) (doing, *N+kO) [then] not would to you we have delivered Him.
ತದಾ ತೇ ಪೇತ್ಯವದನ್ ದುಷ್ಕರ್ಮ್ಮಕಾರಿಣಿ ನ ಸತಿ ಭವತಃ ಸಮೀಪೇ ನೈನಂ ಸಮಾರ್ಪಯಿಷ್ಯಾಮಃ|
31 Said therefore to them Pilate; do take Him yourselves and according to the law of you do judge Him. Said (therefore *KO) to him the Jews; To us not it is permitted to put to death no [one];
ತತಃ ಪೀಲಾತೋಽವದದ್ ಯೂಯಮೇನಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ಸ್ವೇಷಾಂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಯಾ ವಿಚಾರಯತ| ತದಾ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವದನ್ ಕಸ್ಯಾಪಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾಣದಣ್ಡಂ ಕರ್ತ್ತುಂ ನಾಸ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರೋಽಸ್ತಿ|
32 that the word of Jesus may be fulfilled which He had spoken signifying as what death He was about to die.
ಏವಂ ಸತಿ ಯೀಶುಃ ಸ್ವಸ್ಯ ಮೃತ್ಯೌ ಯಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್ ಸಾ ಸಫಲಾಭವತ್|
33 Entered therefore again into the Praetorium Pilate and he called Jesus and said to Him; You yourself are the King of the Jews?
ತದನನ್ತರಂ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಪುನರಪಿ ತದ್ ರಾಜಗೃಹಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಯೀಶುಮಾಹೂಯ ಪೃಷ್ಟವಾನ್ ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜಾ?
34 Answered (to him *k) Jesus; Of (yourself *N+kO) you yourself this say or others did say [it] to you concerning Me?
ಯೀಶುಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವದತ್ ತ್ವಮ್ ಏತಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಸ್ವತಃ ಕಥಯಸಿ ಕಿಮನ್ಯಃ ಕಶ್ಚಿನ್ ಮಯಿ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್?
35 Answered Pilate; surely not ever I myself a Jew am? The nation of You and the chief priests delivered You to me myself; What did You do?
ಪೀಲಾತೋಽವದದ್ ಅಹಂ ಕಿಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಃ? ತವ ಸ್ವದೇಶೀಯಾ ವಿಶೇಷತಃ ಪ್ರಧಾನಯಾಜಕಾ ಮಮ ನಿಕಟೇ ತ್ವಾಂ ಸಮಾರ್ಪಯನ, ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಂ ಕೃತವಾನ್?
36 Answered Jesus; The kingdom of Mine not is of world this; if of world this were kingdom of Mine, attendants of Mine they were fighting then would that not I may be betrayed to the Jews; Now however kingdom of Mine not is from here.
ಯೀಶುಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯವದತ್ ಮಮ ರಾಜ್ಯಮ್ ಏತಜ್ಜಗತ್ಸಮ್ಬನ್ಧೀಯಂ ನ ಭವತಿ ಯದಿ ಮಮ ರಾಜ್ಯಂ ಜಗತ್ಸಮ್ಬನ್ಧೀಯಮ್ ಅಭವಿಷ್ಯತ್ ತರ್ಹಿ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ಹಸ್ತೇಷು ಯಥಾ ಸಮರ್ಪಿತೋ ನಾಭವಂ ತದರ್ಥಂ ಮಮ ಸೇವಕಾ ಅಯೋತ್ಸ್ಯನ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಮಮ ರಾಜ್ಯಮ್ ಐಹಿಕಂ ನ|
37 Said therefore to Him Pilate; Then a king are You yourself? Answered Jesus; You yourself say that a king am (I myself. *k) I myself for this have been born and for this I have come into the world that I may bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is being of the truth hears My the voice.
ತದಾ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್, ತರ್ಹಿ ತ್ವಂ ರಾಜಾ ಭವಸಿ? ಯೀಶುಃ ಪ್ರತ್ಯುಕ್ತವಾನ್ ತ್ವಂ ಸತ್ಯಂ ಕಥಯಸಿ, ರಾಜಾಹಂ ಭವಾಮಿ; ಸತ್ಯತಾಯಾಂ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಂ ದಾತುಂ ಜನಿಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ಜಗತ್ಯಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಅವತೀರ್ಣವಾನ್, ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸತ್ಯಧರ್ಮ್ಮಪಕ್ಷಪಾತಿನೋ ಮಮ ಕಥಾಂ ಶೃಣ್ವನ್ತಿ|
38 Says to Him Pilate; What is truth? And this having said again he went out to the Jews and says to them; I myself no [thing] find in Him guilt.
ತದಾ ಸತ್ಯಂ ಕಿಂ? ಏತಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಪಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಪೀಲಾತಃ ಪುನರಪಿ ಬಹಿರ್ಗತ್ವಾ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನ್ ಅಭಾಷತ, ಅಹಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಕಮಪ್ಯಪರಾಧಂ ನ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ನೋಮಿ|
39 It is however a custom with you that one I may release to you at the Passover; wish you therefore I may release to you the King of the Jews?
ನಿಸ್ತಾರೋತ್ಸವಸಮಯೇ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಭಿರಭಿರುಚಿತ ಏಕೋ ಜನೋ ಮಯಾ ಮೋಚಯಿತವ್ಯ ಏಷಾ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ರೀತಿರಸ್ತಿ, ಅತಏವ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ನಿಕಟೇ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ರಾಜಾನಂ ಕಿಂ ಮೋಚಯಾಮಿ, ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಮ್ ಇಚ್ಛಾ ಕಾ?
40 They cried out then again (all *ko) saying; Not this one but Barabbas! Was now Barabbas an insurrectionist.
ತದಾ ತೇ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇ ರುವನ್ತೋ ವ್ಯಾಹರನ್ ಏನಂ ಮಾನುಷಂ ನಹಿ ಬರಬ್ಬಾಂ ಮೋಚಯ| ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ಬರಬ್ಬಾ ದಸ್ಯುರಾಸೀತ್|
