< John 11 >

1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
Hambu atahori esa, naran Lasarus. Ana leo sia kambo Betania, naꞌabꞌue no aꞌa nara inaꞌ rua, naeni Maria no Marta. (Maria ia, mana naꞌandandaliꞌ mina maꞌameniꞌ neu Yesus ein, de ose nendiꞌ langga fulun.) Lao esa, Lasarus mera naeꞌ.
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
Boe ma aꞌa inaꞌ nara fee haraꞌ neu Yesus rae, “Papa nonoon, Lasarus, namahedꞌi naeꞌ.”
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
Leleꞌ Yesus rena haraꞌ naa, ma Ana olaꞌ nae, “Hedꞌis ia nda tao e mate sa. Lamatualain nae natudꞌu manaselin nendiꞌ dalaꞌ ia. Naa fo atahori ra soꞌu rananaru Au, naeni Lamatualain Anan.”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
Leleꞌ Ana rena oi, Lasarus namahedꞌi, Ana feꞌe leo fai rua fai sia loe Yarden bobꞌoan.
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
Te Ana mana tungga nara rasapaa rae, “Papa Meser. Feꞌe lai-laiꞌ ia, atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara rae mbia risa Lamatuaꞌ mia naa. De ia na Lamatuaꞌ mae baliꞌ naa miu fai, do?”
9 Answered Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
Boe ma Yesus nataa nae, “Afiꞌ mimitau e! Fais-fais na, relo a naronda mia fefetun losa bobꞌoꞌ. Naa hambu jam sanahulu rua, to? Mete ma laoꞌ sia manggareloꞌ a, na atahori nda raꞌatunu sa. Huu manggareloꞌ a naronda sia raefafoꞌ ia, fo atahori mete rita.
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
Yesus olaꞌ basa taꞌo naa, ma Ana nafadꞌe nae, “Hita nonoon Lasarus sungguꞌ ena. Te dei fo Au ufefela baliꞌ e.”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N+KO) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
Boe ma Eni ana mana tungga nara rae, “Papa. Mete ma ana sungguꞌ a, na eni sosoan, dei fo ana malole baliꞌ, to?”
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
Ara olaꞌ taꞌo naa, huu ara duꞌa rae Yesus olaꞌ soꞌal sungguꞌ biasa a. Tao-tao te, Ana olaꞌ soꞌal Lasarus mamaten.
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
Basa ma, Yesus nafadꞌe relo-relo nae, “Taꞌo ia. Lasarus mate ena.
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
Au umuhoꞌo Au nda sia naa sa, leleꞌ ana nda feꞌe mate sa, naa fo hei afiꞌ susa. Huu saa nae dadꞌi leleꞌ ia, tao nggi bisa mimihere Au. Ima fo ata teu sia naa leo!”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
Basa ma Tomas, fo ara ingga rae, “ana duaꞌ ra,” nafadꞌe ana mana tungga laen ra nae, “Ima leo! Malole lenaꞌ basa nggita tungga teu, fo hela ata mate taꞌabꞌue to E.”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
Kamboꞌ naa, doon akaꞌ kilo teluꞌ a mia kota Yerusalem. Atahori Yahudi hetar rema mia naa de bebeꞌek ma tao manggatetee Marta no Maria ralan. Leleꞌ Yesus se losa naa, dei de ara feꞌe bubꞌuluꞌ rae, atahori raꞌoi hendi Lasarus fai haa ena.
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
19 (and *k) Many (now *no) of the Jews had come unto (concerning *k) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k)
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
Basa de, leleꞌ Marta rena oi, Yesus nema ena, ma ana dea neu nandaa no Yesus. Te Maria neuꞌ a ume rala.
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N+kO) the brother of mine.
De Marta nafadꞌe Yesus nae, “Aduu, Papa, e! Onaꞌ Papa sia ia, na tantu odi ngga nda mate sa.
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
Te au umuhere boe, Papa nau noꞌe saa mbali Lamatualain, tantu Papa hambu.”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
24 Says to him Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Marta nataa nae, “Au uhine, dei fo sia fai mateteꞌen, mete ma Lamatualain tao basa atahori mana mateꞌ ra rasodꞌa baliꞌ, na Ana tao nasodꞌa baliꞌ au odi ngga boe.”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
Boe ma Yesus nafadꞌe nae, “Au mana tao atahori mana mateꞌ ra rasodꞌa baliꞌ. Au o mana fee masodꞌa ndoo-tetuꞌ a boe. Dadꞌiꞌ atahori mana ramahere neu Au dei fo hambu masodꞌaꞌ naa, mae ana mate.
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this?
Marta, mumuhere Au oꞌola ngga, to?” (aiōn g165)
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
Ana nataa nae, “Iya, Papa! Au umuhere ae, Papa ia, naeni Kristus, Atahori fo Lamatualain dudꞌu memaꞌ mia fai maꞌahulun ena. Papa ia, Lamatualain Anan, Ana helu basa nae haitua nema sia raefafoꞌ ia.”
28 And (these things *N+kO) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
Ana nae nandaa no nggo.”
29 She (then *no) when she heard ([she] rose up *N+kO) quickly and (was coming *N+kO) to Him.
Rena taꞌo naa ma, Maria fela neuꞌ ena de neu sangga Yesus. Atahori Yahudi mana beꞌe nanea no Maria sia ume rala, nita e fela de nelaꞌ dea neu. Ana feꞌe sia mamanaꞌ fo Marta nandaa no E.
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no) in the place where met with Him Martha.
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N+KO) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N+kO) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
Leleꞌ Maria losa mamanaꞌ naa, ma nita Yesus. De ana sendeꞌ lululanggan sia Yesus ein. De nafadꞌe nae, “Aduu, Papa, e! Onaꞌ Papa sia ia naa, tantu odi ngga nda mate sa.”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
Ana natane nae, “Hei miꞌoi e sia bee?” Ara rataa rae, “Uma, Papa! Uma fo mete neuꞌ ena.”
35 Wept Jesus.
Boe ma Yesus nggae.
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
Basa ma atahori Yahudi ra ola-olaꞌ rae, “Mete neuꞌ ena. Ana sue naseliꞌ Lasarus!”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
Te hambu ruma fai ola-olaꞌ rae, “Atahori ia, mana naꞌahahaiꞌ atahori pokeꞌ a matan, de nita baliꞌ, Taꞌo bee de Ana nda bisa babꞌaa nala Lasarus fo Ana nda mate sa?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
Yesus ralan namedꞌa beran seli. Ara tatana luat a rendiꞌ fatu monaeꞌ sa.
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N+kO) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
De Yesus denu atahori mana sia naa ra nae, “Oꞌo hendi fatu ia, fo soi hendi luat ia lelesun dei!” Te Marta, naeni atahori mana mateꞌ a aꞌan nae, “Aweꞌ, Papa! Ana mate fai haa ena, na! Tantu maꞌafoo ena.”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
Boe ma Yesus fee ne nesenenedꞌaꞌ nae, “Musunedꞌa faꞌ ra, to? Au ufadꞌe memaꞌ ae, mete ma Marta tebꞌe-tebꞌeꞌ mumuhere Au, dei fo bisa mita Lamatualain manaselin.”
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
Basa ma hambu atahori hira soi fatu a mia luat a. Boe ma Yesus mbali lalai a, ma Ana nae, “Amaꞌ! Au oꞌe makasi, huu Amaꞌ rena Au.
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
Au bubꞌuluꞌ eniꞌ a mia dalahulun ae, Amaꞌ rena Au mukundooꞌ a. Te Au olaꞌ onaꞌ naa leleꞌ ia, naa fo atahori mana rambariiꞌ sia ia ra bubꞌuluꞌ rae, Amaꞌ mana denu Au.”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
44 (and *k) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
Boe ma atahori mana mateꞌ naa dea nema mia luat a. Hambu teme mamates nenembotiꞌ nala ei-lima nara.
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK+o) He did (Jesus *k) believed in Him.
Leleꞌ ara rita Yesus tataon naa ma, atahori Yahudi mana rema beꞌe ro Maria ra, ramahere Yesus.
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did Jesus.
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
Basa naa ma, malangga agama ra malangga nara, ro atahori Farisi ra raꞌabꞌue de ara ola-olaꞌ sangga dalaꞌ. Ara ratatane rae, “Atahori naa, tao manadadꞌi-manaseliꞌ mataꞌ-mataꞌ! Dadꞌi hita musi tao taꞌo bee fai?
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
Huu mete ma hita hela E neuꞌ ena, na, dei fo basa atahori ramahena neu E onaꞌ sira manen. No taꞌo naa, soldꞌadꞌu mana parenda Roma ra dei fo rema tao ralutu hita Ume Hule-oꞌe Huuꞌ na no hita atahori nara.”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
Tooꞌ naa, Kayafas dadꞌi malangga agama ra malangga monaen. Ana olaꞌ nae, “Nggoaꞌ e! Hei nda mihine saa-saa sa boe!
50 nor (consider you *N+kO) that it is profitable (for you *N+KO) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about Jesus to die for the nation,
Lamatualain pake bafan, huu eni dadꞌi malangga agama ra malangga monaen sia tooꞌ naa. Naa de Kayafas nafadꞌe memaꞌ nae, dei fo Yesus mate soaꞌ neu basa atahori Yahudi ra.
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
Tao-tao te, Ana nda mate soaꞌ neu akaꞌ atahori Yahudi ra sa, te soaꞌ neu basa Lamatualain ana nara mana sea-saranggaa sia raefafoꞌ ia. Dei fo Ana tao basa se dadꞌi nusaꞌ esa isi.
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N+kO) that they may kill Him.
Huu Kayafas oꞌolan naa, naeni de, eniꞌ a mia leleꞌ naa, atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara sangga dalaꞌ rae tao risa Yesus.
54 Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N+kO) with the disciples (of him. *k)
Dadꞌi Yesus nda laoꞌ relo-relo sia atahori Yahudi ra malangga nara taladꞌan nara sa ena. Ana no ana mana tungga nara lao risiꞌ kota esa, naran Efraim, mana deka-deka sia mamana rouꞌ.
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
Leleꞌ naa, fai Paska agama Yahudi ra deka-deka ena. Biasa na, atahori hetar mia deaꞌ rema raꞌabꞌue sia kota Yerusalem fo tungga fefeta Paska sia naa. Ara losa raꞌahuluꞌ, fo tao rameu ao nara tungga agama hohoro-lalanen.
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
Atahori hetar mana rema sia Yerusalem, sangga Yesus sia naa. Leleꞌ ara rambariiꞌ sia Ume Hule-oꞌe Huuꞌ a sodꞌan, ara ratatane rae, “Tungga hei naa, taꞌo bee? Hei duꞌa na Yesus nae nema tungga fefeta agama, do hokoꞌ?”
57 Had given now (also *k) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N+KO) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
Tao-tao te, ara raꞌena masud rae humu E.
