John 11
1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
Muntu yumu yawamshema Lazaru, kalikaliti Betaniya, kaweriti mlweri. Betaniya lushi lwawalikaliti Mariya na Marita muhasha gwakuwi.
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
Mariya ndo uliya yakamswagiti uturi Mtuwa na kumpukuta kwa viri zyakuwi. Ayu ndo Lazaru kaka gwakuwi yakaweriti mlweri.
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
Wahasha watuma ujumbi kwa Yesu, “Mtuwa, ganja gwaku yagumfira, mlweri!”
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
Yesu pakapikaniriti aga, katakula, “Ulweri awu hapeni hujegi kuhowa kwa Lazaru, ira ndo kwajili ya kumkwisa Mlungu na kwa mana ayi Mwana gwa Mlungu kakwiswi.”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.

6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
Pakapatiti shisoweru handa Lazaru mlweri, kulikala pahala panu kwa mashaka mawili nentu.
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
Shakapanu kawagambira wafundwa wakuwi, “Tuwuyi kayi Yudeya!”
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
Wafundwa wamgambira, “Mfunda! Shipindi shifupi hera shipita Wayawudi wafira kukuguma mabuwi, na gwenga gufira kugenda kayi aku?”
9 Answered Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
Yesu kankula, “Lishaka lyana saa lilongu na mawili ndiri, ndo hangu? Pakagendagenda paliwala hapeni kawezi kulikwala, kawona kulangala kwa pasipanu.
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
Kumbiti muntu pakagendagenda pashiru katalikwala, Toziya kulangala kwahera.”
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
Yesu katakuliti hangu na pakamaliriti, kawagambira, “Ganja gwetu Lazaru kagonja, kumbiti neni nankugenda na kumyumusiya.”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N+KO) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
Wafundwa wakuwi wamgambira, “Mtuwa, handa yomberi kagonja su hakaponiziwi.”
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
Kumbiti Yesu kaweriti kankutakula kuusu kuhowa kwakuwi, womberi waliholiti kuwera kankutakula kuusu kugonja mbota.
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
Yesu kawagambira pota kufifa, “Lazaru kahowa,
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
kumbiti nemelera kwa ajili ya mwenga handa mweri ndiri aku, su mpati kujimira. Haya tugendeni kwakuwi.”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
Tomasi yawamshema mawira kawagambira wantumini wamonga, “Tugendeni woseri pamuhera na mfunda tukahowi!”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
Yesu pakafikiti aku, kamwoniti Lazaru wamtula kala mlipumba kwa mashaka msheshi.
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
Shijiji sha Betaniya shiweriti pakwegera na Yerusalemu utali wa kilumita ntatu,
19 (and *k) Many (now *no) of the Jews had come unto (concerning *k) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k)
na Wayawudi wavuwa wiziti kumlola Marita na Mariya kuwapanani ushiwa kwa kuhowa kaka gwawu.
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
Shipindi Marita pakapikaniriti handa Yesu kaweriti kamkwiza, kagenda kumwanka, kumbiti Mariya kasigaliti ukaya.
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N+kO) the brother of mine.
Marita kamgambira Yesu, “Mtuwa handa gwangaweriti panu, kaka gwangu mekahowiti ndiri!
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
Kumbiti nuvimana handa ata vinu shoseri shagufira kumluwa Mlungu, hakakupi.”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
Yesu kamgambira, “Kaka gwaku hakawuyi mkomu kayi.”
24 Says to him Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
Marita kamwankula, “Nuvimana handa hawazyuki shipindi sha uzyukisiwu, mulishaka lya kupelera.”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
Yesu kamgambira, “Neni ndo uzyukisiya na ukomu. Yakanjimira neni ata tembera hakahowi, hakalikali.
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn g165)
Na kila yakalikala na kunjimira, hapeni kahowi. Hashi, gujimira aga?” (aiōn g165)
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
Marita kamwankula, “Yina, Mtuwa! Neni njimira handa gwenga ndo Kristu, Mwana gwa Mlungu, uliya yakiza pasipanu.”
28 And (these things *N+kO) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
Marita pakatakuliti aga, kagenditi na kumshema Mariya mlongu gwakuwi, kamgambira pagweka, “mfunda kapanu na kafira kukuwona.”
29 She (then *no) when she heard ([she] rose up *N+kO) quickly and (was coming *N+kO) to Him.
Nayomberi pakapikaniriti aga, kamukamu kagoloka, kamgendera Yesu.
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no) in the place where met with Him Martha.
Yesu kaweriti keniyingiri mushijiji, kumbiti kaweriti palaa palii Marita pakamwankiti.
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N+KO) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
Su, Wayawudi yawaweriti ukaya pamuhera na Mariya pawamnyamaziya muushiwa, pawamwoniti kagoloka na kulawa kunja vumu, wamwiziriti. Wavimaniti kaweriti kankugenda mulipumba kudaya.
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N+kO) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
Mariya pakasokiti pahala palii Yesu pakaweriti na kumwona, kasuntamala, kamgambira, “Mtuwa, handa gwangaweriti panu, kaka gwangu kangahowiti ndiri!”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
Yesu pakamwoniti kankulira na Wayawudi walii wawiziti pamuhera nayomberi wankulira viraa, kamemiti na maholu na kuhinginika mumoyu.
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
Shakapanu kawakosiya, “Lipumba lya koshi?” Wamgambira, “Mtuwa, gwizi na gulori.”
35 Wept Jesus.
Yesu kalira.
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
Su, Wayawudi watakula, “Mlori ntambu yakamfiriti!”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
Kumbiti wamonga wawu watakula, “Hashi, ayu yakamtenditi katumuli masu lwisi uliya, kaweza ndiri kumtenda Lazaru nakahowi?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
Su, Yesu kahinginika kayi mmoyu, kiziti mlipumba. Lipumba lyeni liweriti mpanga na liweriti ludiwirwa kwa libuwi.
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N+kO) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
Yesu kalagaliriti, “Mliwusiyi libuwi ali!” Marita mlongu gwakuwi ayu yakahowiti kamgambira, “Mtuwa kanja kala kununka, kalikala mulipumba mashaka msheshi!”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
Yesu kamgambira, “Hashi, nukugambira ndiri handa pagujimira haguwoni ukwisa wa Mlungu?”
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
Su waliwusiya libuwi lilii, Yesu kalola kumpindi, katakula, “Mayagashii Tati toziya gwenga gumpikanira.
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
Nuvimana handa gumpikanira neni. Kumbiti ntakula aga toziya ya wantu awa wapala panu su wapati kujimira handa gwenga ndo yaguntumiti.”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
Pakamaliriti kutakula aga, kashema kwa liziwu likulu, “Lazaru! Gulawi kunja!”
44 (and *k) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
Uliya yakaweriti kahowa kalawiti kunja, aku wamyopa sanda mmagulu na mmawoku na sheni shakuwi shigubikirwa. Yesu kawagambira, “Mumyopoli, mkamleki kagendi zyakuwi.”
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK+o) He did (Jesus *k) believed in Him.
Su, Wayawudi wavuwa waweriti wamtyangira Mariya pawawoniti Yesu shintu gaa shakatenditi, na kumjimira.
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did Jesus.
Kumbiti wamonga wawu wagenditi kwa Mafalisayu na wawagambira shitwatira ashi shakatenditi Yesu.
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
Mafalisayu na watambika wakulu waliwoniti Mwashizungu na watakula, “Tutendi shishi? Muntu ayu kankutenda mauzauza nentu.
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
Patumleka hera wantu woseri hawamjimiri, womberi Warumi hawizi kuwalibisiya Numba nkulu ya Mlungu gwetu na isi yetu!”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
Panu yumu gwawu, yawamchema Kayafa, ndo kiwiti mtambika mkulu wa shinja ashi, kawagambira, “Mwenga muvimana ndiri shintu!
50 nor (consider you *N+kO) that it is profitable (for you *N+KO) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
Hashi, mwona ndiri handa ndo mbaka kwamwenga muntu yumu kahowi kwa ajili ya wantu, kuliku isi yoseri ipalanganyika?”
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about Jesus to die for the nation,
Yomberi katakula ndiri hangu ntambu yakafiriti mweni, ira kaweriti mtambika mkulu shinja ashi su katungiti handa Yesu hakahowi toziya ya wantu wa Isi ya Shiyawudi,
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
na toziya ndiri gweka yawu hera, kumbiti kapati kuwajega pamuhera munshimba yimu yaipalanganyikiti kwa wantu wa Mlungu.
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N+kO) that they may kill Him.
Su, kwanjira lishaka ali watuwa wa Shiyawudi watenda mipangu gwa kumlaga Yesu.
54 Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N+kO) with the disciples (of him. *k)
Su, Yesu hapeni kagendigendi kayi paweru muisi ya Wayawudi, kumbiti kawukiti panu kagenditi pahala pagwekera na kushiwala, mlushi lwa walushema Efrayimu. Kalikaliti aku pamuhera na wafundwa wakuwi.
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
Shipindi sha msambu sha Wayawudi sha Pasaka shiweriti pakwegera na wantu wavuwa walawa muisi wagenditi Yerusalemu su walipungi pa msambu agu.
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
Su, waweriti wankumsakula Yesu. Na womberi pawaliwoniti Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu, walikosiyana, “Mulihola hashi? Nakaka hakizi ndiri ku msambu agu, awu ndiri?”
57 Had given now (also *k) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N+KO) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
Watambika wakulu na Mafalisayu walagalira kuwera, handa muntu yoseri pakavimaniti pahala pakaweriti Yesu, kalazimika kutakula su wapati kumbata.
