John 11
1 Was now a certain [man] ailing, Lazarus of Bethany of the village of Mary and Martha the sister of her;
੧ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਬੈਤਅਨਿਯਾ ਨਗਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ। ਇਹ ਉਹ ਨਗਰ ਸੀ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਰਹਿੰਦੀ ਸੀ।
2 Was now Mary the [one] having anointed the Lord with fragrant oil and having wiped the feet of Him with the hair of her, whose brother Lazarus was sick.
੨ਇਹ ਉਹ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤਰ ਪਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਦੇ ਵਾਲਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨ ਸਾਫ਼ ਕੀਤੇ। ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਦਾ ਭਰਾ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਸੀ।
3 Sent therefore the sisters to Him saying; Lord, behold [he] whom You love was being sick.
੩ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੈ।”
4 Having heard then Jesus said; This sickness not is unto death but for the glory of God that may be glorified the Son of God through it.
੪ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਇਸ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦਾ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੌਤ ਨਹੀਂ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਈ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇ।”
5 was loving now Jesus Martha and the sister of her and Lazarus.
੫ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਰਿਯਮ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਭੈਣ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
6 When therefore He heard that he is sick, then indeed He remained in which He was [the] place two days.
੬ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਬੜਾ ਬਿਮਾਰ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਸੀ, ਉੱਥੇ ਦੋ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਹੋਰ ਰੁਕ ਗਿਆ।
7 Then after this He says to the disciples; Let us go into Judea again.
੭ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਅਸੀਂ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਚਲੀਏ।”
8 Say to Him the disciples; Rabbi, just now were seeking You to stone the Jews, and again You are going there?
੮ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪਰ ਗੁਰੂ! ਥੋੜ੍ਹਾ ਚਿਰ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ, ਯਹੂਦਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਥਰਾਹ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੁੰਦੇ ਸਨ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਫਿਰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਵਾਪਸ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ।”
9 Answered Jesus; Surely twelve hours are there in the day? If anyone shall walk in the day, not he stumbles, because the light of the world this he sees.
੯ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, “ਕੀ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਬਾਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਘੰਟੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੁੰਦੇ? ਜੇਕਰ ਕੋਈ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਚਲੇ ਤਾਂ ਠੋਕਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਚਾਨਣ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਦਾ ਹੈ।
10 if however anyone shall walk in the night, he stumbles, because the light not is in him.
੧੦ਪਰ ਜੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈ, ਹਨੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੋਕਰ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਉਸ ਕੋਲ ਚਾਨਣ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ।”
11 These things He said and after this He says to them; Lazarus the friend of us has fallen asleep; but I go that I may awaken him.
੧੧ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਡਾ ਮਿੱਤਰ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਸੌਂ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਗਾਉਣ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।”
12 Said therefore the disciples (to Him; *N+KO) Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will get well.
੧੨ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਉਹ ਸੌਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਜਾਗ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।”
13 Had spoken however Jesus of the death of him; they however thought that of the rest of sleep He speaks.
੧੩ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਕਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਮਤਲਬ ਸੀ, ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ। ਪਰ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਅਸਲੀ ਨੀਂਦ ਬਾਰੇ ਬੋਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ।
14 Then therefore said to them Jesus plainly; Lazarus has died.
੧੪ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਫ਼-ਸਾਫ਼ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
15 And I rejoice for sake of you, in order that you may believe, that not I was there; But let us go to him.
੧੫ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਖਾਤਰ ਮੈਂ ਖੁਸ਼ੀ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ। ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਹੁਣ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੋਂਗੇ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚਲੋ ਅਸੀਂ ਉੱਥੇ ਚੱਲੀਏ।”
16 Said therefore Thomas who is being named Didymus to the fellow disciples; Let us go also us that we may die with Him.
੧੬ਤਦ ਥੋਮਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦੀਦੁਮੁਸ ਅਖਵਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਦੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਚਲੋ ਆਓ ਅਸੀਂ ਵੀ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲੀਏ। ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰੇ ਜਾਈਏ।”
17 Having come therefore Jesus found him four already days having been in the tomb.
੧੭ਯਿਸੂ ਬੈਤਅਨਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੇ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
18 Was now Bethany near Jerusalem about away stadia fifteen.
੧੮ਬੈਤਅਨਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਲੱਗਭਗ ਦੋ ਮੀਲ ਦੀ ਦੂਰੀ ਸੀ।
19 (and *k) Many (now *no) of the Jews had come unto (concerning *k) Martha and Mary that they may console them concerning the brother (of them. *k)
੧੯ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਅਤੇ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਕੋਲ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਦਾ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਕਰਨ ਆਏ।
20 Therefore Martha, when she heard that Jesus is coming, met with Him; Mary however in the house was sitting.
੨੦ਜਦ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੇ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਆ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਬਾਹਰ ਗਈ ਪਰ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਘਰ ਹੀ ਰਹੀ।
21 Said then Martha to Jesus; Lord, if You had been here, not then would (be dead *N+kO) the brother of mine.
੨੧ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੁੰਦੇ, ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਨਾ ਮਰਦਾ।
22 Nevertheless even now I know that as much as maybe You may ask God will give You God.
੨੨ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਵੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ, ਜੋ ਵੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਮੰਗੋਂਗੇ, ਉਹ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇਗਾ।”
23 Says to her Jesus; Will rise again the brother of you.
੨੩ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਜੀ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ।”
24 Says to him Martha; I know that he will rise again in the resurrection in the last day.
੨੪ਮਾਰਥਾ ਬੋਲੀ “ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਨਿਆਂ ਵਾਲੇ ਦਿਨ ਦੇ ਸਮੇਂ ਅੰਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਜੀ ਉੱਠੇਗਾ।”
25 Said to her Jesus; I myself am the resurrection and the life; the [one] believing in Me myself even if even if he shall die he will live,
੨੫ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਮੁਰਦਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਜੀ ਉੱਠਣਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੀਵਨ ਮੈਂ ਹਾਂ। ਜਿਹੜਾ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਮਰ ਜਾਏ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਜੀਵੇਗਾ।
26 and everyone who is living and believing in Me myself certainly not he shall die to the age. Believe you this? (aiōn g165)
੨੬ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ, ਜੋ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਕਦੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰੇਗਾ। ਮਾਰਥਾ, ਕੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈਂ?” (aiōn g165)
27 She says to Him; Yes Lord; I myself have believed that You yourself are the Christ the Son of God the [One] into the world coming.
੨੭ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਮੈਂ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ, ਜੋ ਇਸ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।”
28 And (these things *N+kO) having said she went away and she called Mary the sister of her secretly having said; The Teacher is come and He calls you.
੨੮ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਕਹਿਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਭੈਣ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਕੋਲ ਗਈ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਇਕੱਲਿਆਂ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਪੁੱਛ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।”
29 She (then *no) when she heard ([she] rose up *N+kO) quickly and (was coming *N+kO) to Him.
੨੯ਜਦੋਂ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਝੱਟ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੋਲ ਗਈ।
30 Not yet now had come Jesus into the village, but was (still *no) in the place where met with Him Martha.
੩੦ਯਿਸੂ ਹਾਲੇ ਪਿੰਡ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਸੀ, ਸਗੋਂ ਉਹ ਅਜੇ ਉਸ ਥਾਂ ਸੀ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਆਈ ਸੀ।
31 The then Jews who are being with her in the house and consoling her, having seen Mary that soon she rose up and went out, followed after her, (having supposed *N+KO) that she is going to the tomb that she may weep there.
੩੧ਜਿਹੜੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਤਸੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਲਦੀ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਠਦਿਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਘਰ ਤੋਂ ਬਹਾਰ ਜਾਂਦਿਆਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸਮਝਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕਬਰ ਤੇ ਰੋਣ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ।
32 Therefore Mary when she came to where was Jesus, having seen Him she fell of Him (at *N+kO) the feet saying to Him; Lord, if You had been here, not then would my have died brother.
੩੨ਮਰਿਯਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਆਈ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਸੀ। ਜਦੋਂ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਚਰਨਾਂ ਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਈ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ, ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਇੱਥੇ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਮੇਰਾ ਭਰਾ ਨਾ ਮਰਦਾ।”
33 Jesus therefore when He saw her weeping and the having come with her Jews weeping, He was deeply moved in spirit and troubled Himself
੩੩ਜਦੋਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਆਏ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਰੋਂਦੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਿਸੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਤਮਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਦੁੱਖੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਦਰਦ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
34 And He said; Where have you laid him? They say to Him; Lord, do come and do see.
੩੪ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, “ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ।” ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜੀ ਆਓ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ।”
35 Wept Jesus.
੩੫ਯਿਸੂ ਰੋਇਆ,
36 Were saying therefore the Jews; Behold how He was loving him!
੩੬ਫਿਰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨਾਲ ਕਿੰਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਿਆਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।”
37 Some however of them said; Surely was able this [man] who having opened the eyes of the blind to have caused that also this one not may have died?
੩੭ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਉਹ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਅੰਨ੍ਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਜਾਖਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਲਈ ਕੁਝ ਨਾ ਕਰ ਸਕਿਆ?”
38 Jesus therefore again being deeply moved in Himself He comes to the tomb; It was now a cave, and a stone was lying against it.
੩੮ਇੱਕ ਵਾਰ ਫੇਰ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੜਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਕੀਤਾ। ਯਿਸੂ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਤੇ ਗਿਆ ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਗੁਫਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਉੱਪਰ ਪੱਥਰ ਧਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
39 Says Jesus; do take away the stone. Says to Him the sister of the [one] (having deceased *N+kO) Martha; Lord, already he stinks; four days for it is.
੩੯ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਹਟਾ ਦੇਵੋ।” ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਨੂੰ ਮਰਿਆਂ ਤਾਂ ਚਾਰ ਦਿਨ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤਾਂ ਹੁਣ ਬਦਬੂ ਆਉਂਦੀ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।”
40 Says to her Jesus; Surely I said to you that if you shall believe you will see the glory of God?
੪੦ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਮਾਰਥਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਯਾਦ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ? ਜੇਕਰ ਤੂੰ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇਂਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਮਹਿਮਾ ਵੇਖੇਂਗੀ।”
41 They took away therefore the stone (where was who having died laid. *K) Now Jesus lifted [His] eyes upwards and said; Father, I thank You that You have heard Me.
੪੧ਫ਼ੇਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਕਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਪੱਥਰ ਹਟਾਇਆ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਉੱਪਰ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਹੇ ਪਿਤਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਹੈ।
42 I myself and knew that always Me You hear; but on account of the crowd which already standing around I said [it], that they may believe that You yourself Me sent.
੪੨ਮੈਂ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ, ਪਰ ਇਹ ਗੱਲ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਹੀ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਇਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਹੈ।”
43 And these things having said in a voice loud He cried out; Lazarus, come forth.
੪੩ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਹ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਬੁਲਾਇਆ, “ਲਾਜ਼ਰ, ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਆ।”
44 (and *k) Came forth the [one] having died bound the feet and the hands with linen strips, and the face of him in a headcloth had bound about. Says to them Jesus: do unbind him and do allow him to go.
੪੪ਉਹ ਮਰਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਲਾਜ਼ਰ ਬਾਹਰ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਆਇਆ। ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ-ਪੈਰ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਸਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਰੁਮਾਲ ਨਾਲ ਲਪੇਟਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਇਸ ਦੇ ਉੱਪਰੋਂ ਕੱਪੜਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੋ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦਿਓ।”
45 Many therefore of the Jews having come to Mary and having seen (what things *NK+o) He did (Jesus *k) believed in Him.
੪੫ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਮਰਿਯਮ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖਣ ਲਈ ਆਏ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ।
46 some however of them went to the Pharisees and told to them what did Jesus.
੪੬ਪਰ ਕੁਝ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਗਏ ਤੇ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਬਾਰੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
47 Gathered therefore the chief priests and the Pharisees a council and they were saying; What are we to do? For this man many does signs!
੪੭ਤਾਂ ਫਿਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਭਾ ਬੁਲਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਸਾਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਹੁਤ ਚਮਤਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
48 If we shall let him alone Him like this, all will believe in Him, and will come the Romans and will take away of us both the place and the nation.
੪੮ਜੇਕਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇਸ ਨੂੰ ਓਵੇਂ ਹੀ ਛੱਡ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਹਰ ਕੋਈ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇਗਾ। ਤਦ ਫਿਰ ਰੋਮੀ ਆ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਹੈਕਲ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਡੀ ਕੌਮ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ ਦੇਣਗੇ।”
49 One however certain of them Caiaphas, high priest being on the year same, said to them; You yourselves not know no [thing],
੪੯ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਕਯਾਫ਼ਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਾਲ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, “ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੋਕ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।
50 nor (consider you *N+kO) that it is profitable (for you *N+KO) that one man may die for the people, and not all the nation may perish.
੫੦ਕੀ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਮਹਿਸੂਸ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਕੌਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਸ ਦੀ ਬਜਾਏ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਮਰ ਜਾਣਾ ਚੰਗਾ ਹੈ।”
51 This now from himself not he said, but high priest being on the year that he prophesied that was about Jesus to die for the nation,
੫੧ਕਯਾਫ਼ਾ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਲੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਉਸ ਸਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਸੀ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਕੌਮ ਲਈ ਮਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ ਸੀ।
52 and not for the nation only but that also the children of God those scattered He may gather together into one.
੫੨ਹਾਂ, ਯਿਸੂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਕੌਮ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਮਰੇਗਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵਾਸਤੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖਿੰਡੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ, ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਕੱਠਿਆਂ ਕਰ ਲਵੇ।
53 From that [very] therefore day (they plotted *N+kO) that they may kill Him.
੫੩ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਆਗੂਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਨੋਂ ਮਾਰਨ ਬਾਰੇ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ।
54 Therefore Jesus no longer no longer publicly was walking among the Jews, but went away from there into the region near the wilderness to Ephraim being named a city, And there And there (He stayed *N+kO) with the disciples (of him. *k)
੫੪ਤਦ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੁੱਲੇ-ਆਮ ਘੁੰਮਣਾ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਛੱਡ ਕੇ ਇਫ਼ਰਾਈਮ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਗਰ ਵੱਲ ਚਲਾ ਗਿਆ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਜਾੜ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਦੇਰ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ।
55 Was now near the Passover of the Jews, and went up many to Jerusalem out of the region before the Passover so that they may purify themselves.
੫੫ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪਸਾਹ ਦਾ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਮਨਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਂ ਨੇੜੇ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਕਈ ਦੇਸਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਸ਼ੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਆਏ।
56 They were seeking therefore Jesus and were saying among one another in the temple already standing; What does it seem to you, that certainly not He may come to the feast?
੫੬ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਯਿਸੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਉਹ ਹੈਕਲ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਹੋ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਕੀ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਤਿਉਹਾਰ ਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਆਵੇਗਾ? ਤੁਸੀਂ ਕੀ ਸੋਚਦੇ ਹੋ?”
57 Had given now (also *k) the chief priests and the Pharisees (commands *N+KO) that if anyone shall know where He is he shall show [it], so that they may seize Him.
੫੭ਪਰ ਮੁੱਖ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਗਿਆ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਕਿੱਥੇ ਹੈ। ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਸਣ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਜਾਜਕ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੀਸੀ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਕਰ ਸਕਣ।
