Hebrews 11
1 Is now faith of [things] hoped for [the] assurance, of things [the] conviction not being seen.
೧ನಂಬಿಕೆಯೋ ನಾವು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವಂಥವುಗಳ ಭರವಸೆಯೂ, ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಕಾಣದವುಗಳ ಮೇಲಿನ ನಿಶ್ಚಯವೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
2 In this for were commended the ancients.
೨ನಮ್ಮ ಹಿರಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ದೈವಸಮ್ಮತಿಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದರು.
3 By faith we understand to have been formed the ages by declaration of God so that which not out of [things] being visible (the [thing] being seen *N+kO) becoming. (aiōn g165)
೩ವಿಶ್ವವು ದೇವರ ಮಾತಿನಿಂದಲೇ ನಿರ್ಮಿತವಾಯಿತೆಂದು ನಾವು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇವೆ. ಈ ಕಾರಣದಿಂದ ಕಾಣಿಸುವ ಈ ಜಗತ್ತು ದೃಶ್ಯವಸ್ತುಗಳಿಂದ ಉಂಟಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ಗ್ರಹಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ. (aiōn g165)
4 By faith a more excellent sacrifice Abel than Cain offered to God, through which he was testified to be righteous bearing witness to the gifts of him (God; *NK+o) and through it having died still (he speaks. *N+kO)
೪ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹೇಬೆಲನು ಕಾಯಿನನ ಯಜ್ಞಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ದೇವರಿಗೆ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಇದರ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವನು ನೀತಿವಂತನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೊಂದಿದನು. ದೇವರು ಅವನ ಕಾಣಿಕೆಗಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಪ್ರಶಂಸಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು ಸತ್ತುಹೋಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅವನ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಇನ್ನೂ ಮಾತನಾಡುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
5 By faith Enoch was translated not to see death and not was he found because took up him God; Before for the translation (of him *k) he has been commended to have pleased God;
೫ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಹನೋಕನು ಮರಣವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸದೇ ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟನು. ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋದದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ಒಯ್ಯಲ್ಪಡುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ ಮೊದಲು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವವನಾಗಿದ್ದನೆಂದು ಸಾಕ್ಷಿ ಹೊಂದಿದನು.
6 Without now faith [it is] impossible to please [Him]; To believe for it behooves the one drawing near to God that He exists and [that] to those earnestly seeking out Him a rewarder He becomes.
೬ಆದರೆ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಸುವುದು ಅಸಾಧ್ಯ. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ದೇವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬರುವವನು ದೇವರು ಇದ್ದಾನೆ ಮತ್ತು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಿಗೆ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲವನ್ನು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ ಎಂದು ನಂಬಬೇಕು.
7 By faith having been divinely instructed Noah concerning the [things] not yet seen having been moved with fear he prepared an ark for [the] salvation of the household of him, through which he condemned the world and of the according to faith righteousness [that is] he became heir.
೭ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ನೋಹನು ಇನ್ನೂ ಕಾಣದಿದ್ದವುಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ದೇವರಿಂದ ದೈವೋಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿ, ಭಯಭಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳವನಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ಮನೆಯವರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನಾವೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದನು. ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ಲೋಕದವರು ದಂಡನೆಗೆ ಪಾತ್ರರೆಂದು ನಿರ್ಣಯಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಆದುದ್ದರಿಂದ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಫಲವಾದ ನೀತಿಗೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯನಾದನು.
8 By faith (the [one] *o) being called Abraham obeyed to go out into a place that he was going to receive for an inheritance and went out not knowing where he is going.
೮ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಕರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿ ತಾನು ಬಾಧ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಹೊಂದಬೇಕಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಟು ಹೋದನು. ತಾನು ಹೋಗುವುದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಯದೆ ಹೊರಟನು.
9 By faith he sojourned in (the *k) land of the promise as [in] a foreign [country] in tents having dwelt with Isaac and Jacob the joint-heirs of the promise same;
೯ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಅನ್ಯ ದೇಶದವನಂತೆ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದುಕೊಂಡು ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಯಾಗಿ ಬದುಕಿದನು. ಅದೇ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಸಹಭಾಧ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಇಸಾಕನೂ, ಯಾಕೋಬನೂ ಅವನಂತೆಯೇ ಗುಡಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸಿದರು.
10 He was awaiting for the foundations having city of which [the] architect and builder [is] God.
೧೦ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾದ ಅಸ್ತಿವಾರಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಅಂದರೆ ದೇವರು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಎದುರುನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು.
11 By faith also herself Sarah ([being] barren *N) power for [the] conception of seed received even beyond [the] opportune age (she brought forth *K) since faithful she considered the [One] having promised.
೧೧ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಸಾರಳು ವಾಗ್ದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದಾತನನ್ನು ನಂಬತಕ್ಕವನೆಂದೆಣಿಸಿ ತಾನು ಪ್ರಾಯ ಮೀರಿದವಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಗರ್ಭವತಿಯಾಗುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದಳು.
12 Therefore also from one man were born, and he as good as dead, even as the stars of heaven in multitude and (as *N+kO) the sand by the shore of the sea countless.
೧೨ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಮೃತಪ್ರಾಯನಾಗಿದ್ದ ಒಬ್ಬನಿಂದ ಆಕಾಶದ ನಕ್ಷತ್ರಗಳಂತೆಯೂ ಸಮುದ್ರ ತೀರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮರಳಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಅಸಂಖ್ಯವಾದ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
13 In faith died these all not (having received *NK+O) the promises but from afar them having seen and (having been persuaded and *K) having embraced [them] and having confessed that strangers and sojourners they are on the earth.
೧೩ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆದರೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ದೂರದಿಂದ ನೋಡಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಲ್ಲಾಸದೊಡನೆ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯುಳ್ಳವರಾಗಿ ಮೃತರಾದರು. ತಾವು ಭೂಮಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಪರದೇಶದವರೂ ಪ್ರವಾಸಿಗಳು ಆಗಿದ್ದೆವೆಂದು ಒಪ್ಪಿಕೊಂಡರು.
14 Those for such things saying make manifest that their country they are seeking.
೧೪ಇಂಥ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನಾಡುವವರು ತಾವು ಸ್ವದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆಂಬುದನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
15 And if indeed that [one] (they were remembering *NK+o) from where (they came out, *N+kO) they had then would opportunity to return;
೧೫ತಾವು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಬಂದ ದೇಶದ ಮೇಲೆ ಮನಸ್ಸಿಟ್ಟವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಅಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಅವಕಾಶಗಳು ಅವರಿಗಿದ್ದವು.
16 (now *N+kO) however to a better [one] they stretch forward to, That is to a heavenly [one]; Therefore not is ashamed of them God God to be called of them; He has prepared indeed for them a city.
೧೬ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ಪರಲೋಕವೆಂಬ ಉತ್ತಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಹಾರೈಸುವವರು. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ದೇವರು ಅವರ ದೇವರೇ ಎನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಾಚಿಕೆಗೊಳ್ಳದೇ, ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನು ಸಿದ್ಧಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾನೆ.
17 By faith has offered up Abraham Isaac Being tested, even [his] only begotten [son] was offering up the [one] the promises having received,
೧೭ಅಬ್ರಹಾಮನು ಪರೀಕ್ಷಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಾಗ ಇಸಾಕನನ್ನು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಸಮರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು. ಆ ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದ ಅವನು, “ಇಸಾಕನಿಂದ ಹುಟ್ಟುವವರೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿ ಅನ್ನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು” ಎಂದು ದೇವರು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೂ ತನ್ನ ಏಕಪುತ್ರನನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
18 as to whom it was said that In Isaac will be reckoned your offspring;
೧೮
19 having reasoned that even out from [the] dead to raise able [was] God, from where him also in a simile he received.
೧೯ನನ್ನ ಮಗನು ಸತ್ತರೂ ದೇವರು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬದುಕಿಸಲು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾಗಿದ್ದಾನೆಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದನು. ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ತವರೊಳಗಿಂದಲೇ ಜೀವಿತನಾಗಿ ಬಂದವನಂತೆ ಅವನನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡನು.
20 By faith (also *no) concerning [the things] coming blessed Isaac Jacob and Esau.
೨೦ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಇಸಾಕನು ಯಾಕೋಬನನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಏಸಾವನನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮುಂದೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸಬಹುದಾದ ವಿಷಯಗಳನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸಿದನು.
21 By faith Jacob dying each of the sons of Joseph blessed and worshiped on the top of the staff of him.
೨೧ಯಾಕೋಬನು ತಾನು ಮರಣ ಹೊಂದುವ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಯೋಸೇಫನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಬ್ಬರನ್ನು ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸಿದನು. ತನ್ನ ಕೋಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒರಗಿಕೊಂಡು ದೇವರನ್ನು ಆರಾಧಿಸಿದನು.
22 By faith Joseph dying concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel made mention and concerning the bones of him gave instructions.
೨೨ಯೋಸೇಫನು ತನ್ನ ಮರಣ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದಿಂದ ಹೊರಡುವುದನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮಾತನಾಡಿ ತನ್ನ ಎಲುಬುಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ವಿಷಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
23 By faith Moses having been born he was hidden three months by the parents of him because they saw [was] beautiful the little child and not they did fear the edict of the king.
೨೩ಮೋಶೆ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದಾಗ ಅವನ ತಂದೆತಾಯಿಗಳು ಕೂಸು ಸುಂದರವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ನೋಡಿ ಅರಸನ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಗೆ ಭಯಪಡದೇ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಬಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟರು.
24 By faith Moses grown having become he refused to be named [the] son of [the] daughter of Pharaoh,
೨೪ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಮೋಶೆಯು ದೊಡ್ಡವನಾದ ಮೇಲೆ ಫರೋಹನ ಪುತ್ರಿಯ ಮಗನೆನಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ಬೇಡವೆಂದುಕೊಂಡನು.
25 rather having chosen to suffer affliction with the people of God than [the] temporary to have of sin enjoyment;
೨೫ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಗತಿಸಿ ಹೋಗುವ ಪಾಪಭೋಗಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಿಂತ, ದೇವಜನರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಕಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವುದೇ ಮೇಲೆಂದು ತೀರ್ಮಾನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.
26 greater wealth having esteemed than that (in *k) (Egypt *N+kO) treasures the reproach of Christ; he was looking for toward the reward.
೨೬ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದ ಸರ್ವಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಕ್ರಿಸ್ತನ ನಿಮಿತ್ತವಾಗಿ ಉಂಟಾಗುವ ನಿಂದೆಯೇ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಭಾಗ್ಯವೆಂದೆಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಮುಂಬರುವ ಪ್ರತಿಫಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕಣ್ಣಿಟ್ಟಿದ್ದನು.
27 By faith he left Egypt not having feared the anger of the king; the for Invisible [One] as seeing he persevered.
೨೭ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ಅರಸನ ರೌದ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಭಯಪಡದೇ ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶವನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟುಹೋದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು ಅದೃಶ್ಯನಾಗಿರುವಾತನನ್ನು ದೃಷ್ಟಿಸುವವನಂತೆ ದೃಢಚಿತ್ತನಾಗಿದ್ದನು.
28 By faith he has kept the Passover and the sprinkling of the blood, so that not the [one] destroying the firstborn may touch them.
೨೮ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸುವವನು, ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಮುಟ್ಟದಂತೆ, ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವನು ಪಸ್ಕವನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ತಪೋಕ್ಷಣಾಚಾರವನ್ನೂ ಆಚರಿಸಿದನು.
29 By faith they passed through the Red Sea as through dry (land, *no) which an attempt having made the Egyptians were swallowed up.
೨೯ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಕೆಂಪು ಸಮುದ್ರವನ್ನು ಒಣ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ದಾಟುವಂತೆ ದಾಟಿದರು. ಐಗುಪ್ತದೇಶದವರು ಅದನ್ನು ದಾಟುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದಾಗ ಮುಳುಗಿ ಹೋದರು.
30 By faith the walls of Jericho (fell *N+kO) having been encircled for seven days.
೩೦ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ಅವರು ಏಳು ದಿನಗಳ ತನಕ ಯೆರಿಕೋ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಗೋಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಸುತ್ತಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವು ಬಿದ್ದವು.
31 By faith Rahab the prostitute not did perish with those having disobeyed having received the spies with peace.
೩೧ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದಲೇ ರಾಹಾಬಳೆಂಬ ಸೂಳೆಯು ಗೂಢಚಾರರನ್ನು ಸಮಾಧಾನವಾಗಿ ಸೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವಿಧೇಯರೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಾಶವಾಗದೆ ಉಳಿದಳು.
32 And what more shall I say? Will fail me for telling the time of Gideon, Barak, (both and *k) Samson, (and *k) Jephthah, David also and Samuel and the prophets;
೩೨ಇನ್ನೂ ಏನು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು? ಗಿದ್ಯೋನ್, ಬಾರಾಕ ಸಂಸೋನ, ಯೆಪ್ತಾಹ, ದಾವೀದ, ಸಮುವೇಲ ಮತ್ತು ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕಾದರೆ ನನಗೆ ಸಮಯ ಸಾಲದು.
33 who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut [the] mouths of lions,
೩೩ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಅವರು ರಾಜ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು, ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿದರು, ವಾಗ್ದಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು, ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಬಾಯಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.,
34 quenched [the] power of fire, escaped [the] blades of [the] sword, (be empowered *N+kO) out of weakness, became mighty in war, [the] armies put to flight of foreigners.
೩೪ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನಂದಿಸಿದರು, ಕತ್ತಿಯ ಬಾಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು, ದುರ್ಬಲರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಬಲಿಷ್ಠರಾದರು, ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮಶಾಲಿಗಳಾದರು, ಪರದೇಶದವರ ಸೈನ್ಯಗಳನ್ನು ಓಡಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟರು.
35 Received back women by resurrection the dead of them; others then were tortured not having accepted release, so that a better resurrection they may obtain;
೩೫ಸ್ತ್ರೀಯರು ಸತ್ತುಹೋಗಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ತಿರುಗಿ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡರು. ಕೆಲವರು ತಾವು ಯಾತನೆ ಹೊಂದುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಪುನರುತ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದುವುದಕ್ಕೋಸ್ಕರ, ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸಿದರು.
36 Others then of mockings and of scourgings trial received, in addition also of chains and imprisonment;
೩೬ಬೇರೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಪಹಾಸ್ಯ, ಕೊರಡೆಯ ಪೆಟ್ಟು, ಬೇಡಿ, ಸೆರೆಮನೆವಾಸಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸಿದರು.
37 They were stoned, they were sawed in two (tested *KO) by slaughter of [the] sword they were killed; they wandered in sheepskins, in goats’ skins, being destitute, being oppressed, being mistreated,
೩೭ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಜನರು ಕಲ್ಲೆಸೆದು ಕೊಂದರು, ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಗರಗಸದಿಂದ ಎರಡು ಭಾಗವಾಗಿ ಕೊಯ್ದು ಕೊಂದರು, ಕೆಲವರನ್ನು ಕತ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಕೊಂದರು. ಕೆಲವರು ಕೊರತೆ, ಹಿಂಸೆ, ಬಾಧೆ ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ಕುರಿ ಮೇಕೆಗಳ ಚರ್ಮಗಳನ್ನು ಉಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡವರಾಗಿ ಅಲೆದಾಡಿದರು.
38 of whom not was worthy the world; (in *N+kO) deserts wandering and in mountains and in caves and in the holes of the earth.
೩೮ಇಂಥವರಿಗೆ ಈ ಲೋಕವು ಯೋಗ್ಯಸ್ಥಳವಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇಶದ ಮರುಭೂಮಿ, ಬೆಟ್ಟ, ಗವಿ, ಕುಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಲೆಯುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರು.
39 And these all having been commended through the faith not did receive the promise
೩೯ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರು ತಮ್ಮ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯ ಮೂಲಕ ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಸಾಕ್ಷಿಯನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿದವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ, ವಾಗ್ದಾನದ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಲಿಲ್ಲ.
40 God for us better something having planned, so that not apart from us they may be made perfect.
೪೦ದೇವರು ನಮಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠವಾದ ಭಾಗ್ಯವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ನಾವಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣರಾಗಬಾರದೆಂದು ಸಂಕಲ್ಪಿಸಿದನು.
