Habakkuk 2
1 At post my I will stand and I will take my stand on [the] fortification so I may watch to see what? will he speak by me and what? will I bring back on complaint my.
Je me tiendrai en sentinelle à mon poste, et je me placerai sur la forteresse, et j'observerai pour voir ce qu'il me dira, et ce que je devrai répondre à ma plainte.
2 And he answered me Yahweh and he said write down [the] vision and make [it] clear on the tablets so that he may run [one who] reads it.
Et l'Éternel me répondit, et dit: Écris la vision, et grave-la sur des tablettes, afin qu'on la lise couramment;
3 For still [the] vision [is] for the appointed time and it will pant to the end and not it will lie if it will delay wait for it for surely it will come not it will delay.
Car c'est une vision qui est encore pour un temps déterminé. Elle tend vers la fin, et elle ne mentira pas. Si elle diffère, attends-la; car elle arrivera certainement, elle ne tardera point.
4 There! it is swollen not it is upright self his in him and [the] righteous by faithfulness his he will live.
Voici, l'âme de celui qui s'élève n'est pas droite en lui; mais le juste vivra par sa foi.
5 And also for wine [is] treacherous a man arrogant and [who] not he stays at home who he has made large like Sheol throat his and he [is] like death and not he is satisfied and he has gathered to himself all the nations and he has assembled to himself all the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
Et de plus, le vin est perfide, l'homme arrogant ne se tient pas tranquille; il élargit son âme comme le Sépulcre, il est insatiable comme la mort; il rassemble vers lui toutes les nations, et s'assujettit tous les peuples. (Sheol h7585)
6 ¿ Not these [nations] all of them on him a saying will they lift up and a mocking song riddles to him so may someone say? woe to! the [one who] increases [that which] not [belongs] to him until when? and [one who] makes heavy on himself pledge[s].
Tous ceux-là ne feront-ils pas à son sujet des proverbes, des railleries et des énigmes? On dira: Malheur à celui qui accumule ce qui n'est pas à lui, - jusqu'à quand? - et qui entasse sur soi des gages!
7 ¿ Not suddenly will they arise [those who] pay interest to you and may they awake? [those who will] make tremble you and you will become plunder for them.
Ne se lèveront-ils pas soudain, ceux qui te mordront? Ne se réveilleront-ils pas pour te tourmenter? Et tu deviendras leur proie.
8 For you you have plundered nations many they will plunder you all [the] rest of [the] peoples from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
Parce que tu as pillé beaucoup de nations, tout le reste des peuples te pillera, à cause du meurtre des hommes et de la violence faite au pays, à la ville et à tous ses habitants.
9 Woe to! [one who] gains unjust gain evil for house his to set on the high places nest his to deliver himself from [the] hand of harm.
Malheur à celui qui amasse pour sa maison des gains injustes, afin de placer son nid dans un lieu élevé, pour échapper à l'atteinte de la calamité!
10 You have planned shame for house your by cutting off peoples many and [you have] sinned self your.
C'est pour l'opprobre de ta maison que tu as pris conseil, en détruisant des peuples nombreux, et que tu as péché contre ton âme.
11 For a stone from [the] wall it will cry out and a rafter from [the] wood it will answer it.
Car de la muraille la pierre crie, et de la charpente la poutre lui répond.
12 Woe to! [one who] builds a city by blood and he establishes a town by injustice.
Malheur à celui qui bâtit des villes avec le sang, et fonde des cités sur l'iniquité!
13 ¿ [is it] not There! from with Yahweh of hosts so they may labor peoples for [the] sufficiency of fire and nations for [the] sufficiency of vanity they grow weary.
Voici, n'est-ce pas par la volonté de l'Éternel des armées que les peuples travaillent pour le feu, et que les nations se lassent pour le néant?
14 For it will be filled the earth to know [the] glory of Yahweh like waters [which] they cover over [the] sea.
Car la terre sera remplie de la connaissance de la gloire de l'Éternel, comme le fond de la mer des eaux qui le couvrent.
15 Woe to! [one who] makes drink neighbor his [you are] pouring out rage your and even you make [them] drunk so as to look on nakedness their.
Malheur à celui qui fait boire son prochain, à toi qui lui verses ta fureur et qui l'enivres, afin de voir sa nudité!
16 You are satisfied shame more than honor drink also you and be counted as uncircumcised it will come round to you [the] cup of [the] right [hand] of Yahweh and disgrace [will be] over honor your.
Tu seras rassasié de honte plutôt que de gloire. Bois aussi, toi, et découvre-toi! La coupe de la droite de l'Éternel fera le tour jusqu'à toi, et l'ignominie sera sur ta gloire!
17 For [the] violence of Lebanon it will cover you and [the] devastation of animals it will terrify them from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
Car la violence faite au Liban retombera sur toi, et la dévastation qui épouvante les bêtes, à cause du meurtre des hommes et de la violence faite au pays, à la ville et à tous ses habitants.
18 What? does it profit a carved image that he has carved it [one who] formed it a molten image and [one which] teaches falsehood for he relies [one who] formed form his on it to make idols dumb.
A quoi sert l'image taillée, pour que le sculpteur la taille? A quoi sert l'image de fonte, docteur de mensonge, pour que l'ouvrier qui l'a faite place en elle sa confiance, en fabriquant des idoles muettes?
19 Woe to! [one who] says to wood wake up! awake to a stone of silence it will it teach? there! it [is] sheathed gold and silver and any breath not [is] within it.
Malheur à celui qui dit au bois: Réveille-toi! et à la pierre muette: Lève-toi! Enseignera-t-elle? Voici, elle est couverte d'or et d'argent, et il n'y a aucun esprit au-dedans d'elle!
20 And Yahweh [is] in [the] temple of holiness his hush! from before him all the earth.
Mais l'Éternel est dans le temple de sa sainteté. Que toute la terre se taise en sa présence!
