Habakkuk 2
1 At post my I will stand and I will take my stand on [the] fortification so I may watch to see what? will he speak by me and what? will I bring back on complaint my.
আমি নিজের নজর-ঘাঁটিতে দাঁড়াব এবং দুর্গের উপর অবস্থান করব; সেখানে অপেক্ষা করে দেখব যে সদাপ্রভু আমাকে কী বলছেন, এবং আমি কীভাবে এই নালিশের উত্তর দেব।
2 And he answered me Yahweh and he said write down [the] vision and make [it] clear on the tablets so that he may run [one who] reads it.
তখন সদাপ্রভু উত্তর দিলেন: “এই দর্শন লেখো স্পষ্ট করে ফলকের উপর লেখো যাতে একজন দৌড়বাজ অন্যদের কাছে সঠিক বার্তা বহন করতে পারে।
3 For still [the] vision [is] for the appointed time and it will pant to the end and not it will lie if it will delay wait for it for surely it will come not it will delay.
কারণ এই দর্শন নির্ধারিত সময়ের অপেক্ষায় রয়েছে; এটা শেষ সময়ের কথা বলে এবং মিথ্যা প্রমাণিত হবে না। এটা ঘটতে দেরি হলেও, অপেক্ষা করো; নিশ্চয়ই এটা ঘটবে এবং দেরি হবে না।
4 There! it is swollen not it is upright self his in him and [the] righteous by faithfulness his he will live.
“দেখো, শত্রু অহংকারে ফুলে উঠেছে; তার ইচ্ছাসকল ন্যায্য নয়, কিন্তু ধার্মিক ব্যক্তি বিশ্বাসের দ্বারাই জীবিত থাকবে,
5 And also for wine [is] treacherous a man arrogant and [who] not he stays at home who he has made large like Sheol throat his and he [is] like death and not he is satisfied and he has gathered to himself all the nations and he has assembled to himself all the peoples. (Sheol h7585)
প্রকৃতপক্ষে, সুরা তাকে প্রতারণা করে; সে দাম্ভিক এবং কখনও বিশ্রাম করে না। কারণ পাতালের মতো সে লোভী এবং মৃত্যুর মতো কখনোই সন্তুষ্ট হয় না, সমগ্র জাতিগণদের সে নিজের কাছে একত্রিত করে এবং সকলকে বন্দি করে। (Sheol h7585)
6 ¿ Not these [nations] all of them on him a saying will they lift up and a mocking song riddles to him so may someone say? woe to! the [one who] increases [that which] not [belongs] to him until when? and [one who] makes heavy on himself pledge[s].
“কিন্তু তাদের সকলে কি তাকে বিদ্রুপ ও অবজ্ঞার সঙ্গে, এই বলে, উপহাস করবে না, “‘ধিক্ তাকে, যে চুরি করা সম্পত্তি জমিয়ে রাখে এবং জোর করে আদায় করে নিজেকে ধনী করে! এইভাবে আর কত দিন চলবে?’
7 ¿ Not suddenly will they arise [those who] pay interest to you and may they awake? [those who will] make tremble you and you will become plunder for them.
তোমার পাওনাদাররা কি হঠাৎ তোমার বিরুদ্ধে সক্রিয় হয়ে উঠবে না? তারা কি সজাগ হয়ে তোমাকে ভীত করবে না? তখন তোমরা ওদের শিকার হবে।
8 For you you have plundered nations many they will plunder you all [the] rest of [the] peoples from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
যেহেতু তোমরা বহু জাতিগণদের লুট করেছ, তাই অবশিষ্ট ব্যক্তিরা তোমাদের লুট করবে। কারণ তোমরা মানুষের রক্তপাত করেছ; তোমরা দেশ, নগর এবং তার সমস্ত মানুষদের ধ্বংস করেছ।
9 Woe to! [one who] gains unjust gain evil for house his to set on the high places nest his to deliver himself from [the] hand of harm.
“ধিক্ তাকে, যে দুষ্কর্মের লাভে নিজের ঘর তৈরি করে, বিপর্যয়ের কবল থেকে বাঁচবার জন্য উঁচু স্থানে বসতি স্থাপন করে!
10 You have planned shame for house your by cutting off peoples many and [you have] sinned self your.
তুমি বহু জাতির পতনের পরিকল্পনা করেছ, নিজের ঘরকে লজ্জিত এবং নিজের জীবন নষ্ট করেছ।
11 For a stone from [the] wall it will cry out and a rafter from [the] wood it will answer it.
প্রাচীরের পাথরগুলি কেঁদে উঠবে, এবং ছাদের কড়িকাঠ তা প্রতিধ্বনিত করবে।
12 Woe to! [one who] builds a city by blood and he establishes a town by injustice.
“ধিক্ তাকে, যে রক্তপাতের মাধ্যমে নগর নির্মাণ করে, আর দুষ্কর্মের সাথে নগর স্থাপন করে!
13 ¿ [is it] not There! from with Yahweh of hosts so they may labor peoples for [the] sufficiency of fire and nations for [the] sufficiency of vanity they grow weary.
সর্বশক্তিমান সদাপ্রভু কি নির্ধারণ করেননি যে জাতিগণের পরিশ্রম আগুনের কেবল ইন্ধনমাত্র, এবং তারা এত পরিশ্রম করে কিন্তু সবকিছুই ব্যর্থ হয়!
14 For it will be filled the earth to know [the] glory of Yahweh like waters [which] they cover over [the] sea.
কারণ সমুদ্র যেমন জলরাশিতে আচ্ছন্ন, পৃথিবী তেমনই সদাপ্রভুর মহিমার জ্ঞানে পরিপূর্ণ হবে।
15 Woe to! [one who] makes drink neighbor his [you are] pouring out rage your and even you make [them] drunk so as to look on nakedness their.
“ধিক্ তাকে, যে তার প্রতিবেশীদের সুরা পান করায়, সুরাপাত্র থেকে ঢেলে যায় যতক্ষণ না পর্যন্ত তারা মত্ত হয়ে ওঠে, যেন সে তাদের নগ্ন শরীরের প্রতি দৃষ্টি দিয়ে উপভোগ করতে পারে!
16 You are satisfied shame more than honor drink also you and be counted as uncircumcised it will come round to you [the] cup of [the] right [hand] of Yahweh and disgrace [will be] over honor your.
মহিমাতে নয় তুমি লজ্জায় পরিপূর্ণ হবে। এখন তোমার পালা! সুরা পান করো এবং তোমার নগ্নতা প্রকাশ পাক। সদাপ্রভুর বিচারের পানপাত্র থেকে পান করো এবং তোমার সব গৌরব লাঞ্ছনায় রূপান্তরিত হবে।
17 For [the] violence of Lebanon it will cover you and [the] devastation of animals it will terrify them from [the] blood of humankind and [the] violence of [the] land of [the] town and all [those who] dwell in it.
লেবাননের প্রতি তুমি যা অত্যাচার করেছ তা তোমাকে অভিভূত করবে, তুমি বন্যপশুদের ধ্বংস করেছ, আর তাদের আতঙ্ক তোমার হবে। কারণ তুমি মানুষের রক্তপাত করেছ; তোমরা দেশ, নগর এবং তার সমস্ত মানুষদের ধ্বংস করেছ।
18 What? does it profit a carved image that he has carved it [one who] formed it a molten image and [one which] teaches falsehood for he relies [one who] formed form his on it to make idols dumb.
“কারিগরের তৈরি খোদিত মূর্তির কি মূল্য? অথবা এক প্রতিমূর্তি যে মিথ্যা শেখায়? কারণ যে সেটা বানায় সে নিজের সৃষ্টিতেই আস্থা রাখে; সে মূর্তি নির্মাণ করে যা কথা বলতে পারে না।
19 Woe to! [one who] says to wood wake up! awake to a stone of silence it will it teach? there! it [is] sheathed gold and silver and any breath not [is] within it.
ধিক্ তাকে, যে কাঠকে বলে, ‘জীবিত হও!’ আর নির্জীব পাথরকে বলে ‘ওঠো!’ সেটা কি পথ দেখাতে পারে? এটা সোনা ও রুপো দিয়ে আবৃত; এর মধ্যে কোনো শ্বাস নেই।”
20 And Yahweh [is] in [the] temple of holiness his hush! from before him all the earth.
কিন্তু সদাপ্রভু আপন পবিত্র মন্দিরে আছেন; সমস্ত পৃথিবী তাঁর সামনে নীরব থাকুক।
