Galatians 2
1 Then after fourteen years again I went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas (having taken with [me] *NK+o) also Titus;
੧ਤਦ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦੇ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਤੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਗਿਆ।
2 I went up now according to a revelation and set before them the gospel that I proclaim among the Gentiles — apart privately however to those esteemed — lest perhaps in vain I may be running or have run.
੨ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ਨ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਅੱਗੇ ਵੀ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਪਰ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਹੈ, ਗੁਪਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਚਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਕਿਤੇ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀ ਹੁਣ ਦੀ ਜਾਂ ਪਿਛਲੀ ਦੌੜ ਭੱਜ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇ।
3 But not even Titus who [was] with me myself, a Greek being, was compelled to be circumcised;
੩ਪਰ ਤੀਤੁਸ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਭਾਵੇਂ ਯੂਨਾਨੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਸੁੰਨਤੀ ਨਾ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
4 because of even the brought in secretly false brothers, who came in by stealth to spy out the freedom of us which we have in Christ Jesus, that us (they will enslave, *N+kO)
੪ਪਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਝੂਠੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਜੋ ਚੁੱਪ ਕੀਤੇ ਉਸ ਅਜ਼ਾਦੀ ਦੀ ਸੂਹ ਲੈਣ ਲਈ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਮਿਲੀ, ਚੋਰੀ ਵੜ ਆਏ ਕਿ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਬੰਧਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਆਉਣ।
5 to whom not even for an hour did we yield in subjection, so that the truth of the gospel may continue with you.
੫ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਇੱਕ ਘੜੀ ਵੀ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੱਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇ।
6 Of now those esteemed to be something — whatsoever formerly they were no [thing] to me makes a difference; [the] face God of a man not does take [account of]; to me myself for the esteemed no [thing] added,
੬ਪਰ ਉਹ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਸਮਝੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਭਾਵੇ ਕਿਹੋ ਜਿਹੇ ਵੀ ਹੋਣ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਵਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ - ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਕਿਸੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪੱਖਪਾਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਕਹਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਕਿ ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਮ ਸੀ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੋਇਆ।
7 But on the contrary, having seen that I have been entrusted with the gospel of the uncircumcision even as Peter [with that] of the circumcision
੭ਸਗੋਂ ਉਲਟਾ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਅਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦਾ ਕੰਮ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੌਂਪਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਪਤਰਸ ਨੂੰ।
8 the [One] for having worked in Peter for apostleship of the circumcision did also in me myself toward the Gentiles —
੮ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਸੂਲ ਦੀ ਪਦਵੀ ਲਈ ਪਤਰਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ।
9 and having known the grace which having been given to me, James and Cephas and John, those esteemed pillars to be, [the] right hands gave to me myself and to Barnabas of fellowship, that we ourselves [should go] (indeed *o) to the Gentiles, they however to the circumcision,
੯ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਜਾਣ ਲਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਯਾਕੂਬ, ਕੇਫ਼ਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਨੇ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਥੰਮ੍ਹ ਸਮਝੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝ ਦੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਹੱਥ ਮਿਲਾਏ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਈਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸੁੰਨਤੀਆਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾਣ।
10 Only [they asked] the poor that we may remember; that also I was eager [the] same thing to do.
੧੦ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਆਖਿਆ ਕੇਵਲ ਅਸੀਂ ਗ਼ਰੀਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੇਤੇ ਰੱਖੀਏ ਜਿਸ ਕੰਮ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਵੀ ਯਤਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
11 When however came (Peter *N+kO) to Antioch, to face his I opposed [him], because condemned he was standing.
੧੧ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਕੇਫ਼ਾਸ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਆਇਆ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤਾਂ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ ਸੀ।
12 Before for to come certain ones from James with the Gentiles he was eating; when however (they came, *NK+O) he was drawing back and he was separating himself being afraid of those of [the] circumcision;
੧੨ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਜਦੋਂ ਕਈ ਜਣੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਖਾਂਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਆਏ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਡਰ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਉਹ ਪਿਛਾਹਾਂ ਹੱਟ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਲੱਗ ਕੀਤਾ।
13 And acted hypocritically with him also the rest of [the] Jews so that even Barnabas was carried away of them by the hypocrisy.
੧੩ਅਤੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਕਪਟ ਕੀਤਾ ਐਥੋਂ ਤੱਕ ਜੋ ਬਰਨਬਾਸ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਕਪਟ ਨਾਲ ਭਰਮਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ।
14 But when I saw that not they are walking uprightly according to the truth of the gospel, I said (to Peter *N+kO) before all; If you yourself a Jew being like a Gentile and (not *N+kO) like a Jew live, (why *N+kO) the Gentiles do you compel to Judaize?
੧੪ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਖੁਸ਼ਖਬਰੀ ਦੀ ਸਚਿਆਈ ਦੇ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਸਿੱਧੀ ਚਾਲ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕੇਫ਼ਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਜਦੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਗ਼ੈਰ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਰੀਤ ਉੱਤੇ ਜ਼ਬਰਦਸਤੀ ਚਲਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈਂ?
15 We ourselves by birth Jews and not of [the] Gentiles sinners;
੧੫ਅਸੀਂ ਜਨਮ ਤੋਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਹੀਂ।
16 knowing (then *no) that not is justified a man by works of law only except through faith from Jesus Christ even we ourselves in Christ Jesus believed, that we may be justified by faith from Christ and not by works of the Law; (since *N+kO) by works of the Law not will be justified any flesh.
੧੬ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਇਹ ਜਾਣ ਕੇ ਕਿ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਕੇਵਲ ਯਿਸੂ ਮਸੀਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਪਰ ਮਸੀਹ ਯਿਸੂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਜਾਈਏ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਕੋਈ ਵੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਧਰਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
17 If however seeking to be justified in Christ have been found also we ourselves sinners, surely not [is] Christ of sin a minister? Never would it be!
੧੭ਪਰ ਅਸੀਂ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਮਸੀਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਏ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਆਪ ਵੀ ਪਾਪੀ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ, ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਪਾਪ ਦਾ ਸੇਵਾਦਾਰ ਹੋਇਆ? ਕਦੇ ਨਹੀਂ!
18 If for that I had torn down, these things again I build, a transgressor myself I prove;
੧੮ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜੇਕਰ ਉਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਫੇਰ ਬਣਾਵਾਂ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਰਾਧੀ ਸਾਬਤ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
19 I myself for through [the] Law to [the] Law died, that to God I may live.
੧੯ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਹੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੀ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਰਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰਹਾਂ।
20 to Christ I have been crucified with; I live now no longer no longer I myself, lives however in me myself Christ; that which then now I live in [the] flesh, through faith I live that from the Son of God (and Christ *O) the [One who] having loved me and having given up Himself for me.
੨੦ਮੈਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਲੀਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਪਰ ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਗੋਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੁਣ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਸਰੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ ਸੋ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਪਿਆਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਆਪ ਨੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
21 Not I do set aside the grace of God; if for through [the] Law righteousness [is], then Christ for naught died.
੨੧ਮੈਂ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਝਦਾ ਕਿਉਂਕਿ ਜੇ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਧਾਰਮਿਕਤਾ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਮਸੀਹ ਦਾ ਮਰਨਾ ਵਿਅਰਥ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
