Galatians 1
1 Paul an apostle not from men nor through man but through Jesus Christ and God [the] Father the [One who] having raised Him out from [the] dead —
Paul, apôtre, non de la part des hommes, ni par un homme, mais par Jésus-Christ et Dieu le Père, qui l’a ressuscité des morts,
2 and the with me myself all brothers To the churches of Galatia:
et tous les frères qui sont avec moi, aux Églises de la Galatie:
3 Grace to you and peace from God Father of us and of [the] Lord Jesus Christ,
que la grâce et la paix vous soient données de la part de Dieu le Père et de notre Seigneur Jésus-Christ,
4 the [One who] having given Himself (for *NK(o)*) the sins of us, so that He may deliver us out of the age of which having come presently evil according to the will of the God and Father of us, (aiōn g165)
qui s’est donné lui-même pour nos péchés, afin de nous arracher du présent siècle mauvais, selon la volonté de notre Dieu et Père, (aiōn g165)
à qui soit la gloire aux siècles des siècles! Amen! (aiōn g165)
6 I am astonished that so soon you are deserting from the [One who] having called you in [the] grace of Christ to a different gospel
Je m’étonne que vous vous détourniez si promptement de celui qui vous a appelés par la grâce de Christ, pour passer à un autre Évangile.
7 which not is another, only except some there are who are troubling you and are desiring to pervert the gospel of Christ.
Non pas qu’il y ait un autre Évangile, mais il y a des gens qui vous troublent, et qui veulent renverser l’Évangile de Christ.
8 But even if we ourselves or an angel out of heaven (shall evangelise *NK(o)*) to you contrary to what we evangelised to you, accursed he should be.
Mais, quand nous-mêmes, quand un ange du ciel annoncerait un autre Évangile que celui que nous vous avons prêché, qu’il soit anathème!
9 As we have said before, even now again I say, if anyone [to] you is evangelising contrary to what you received, accursed he should be.
Nous l’avons dit précédemment, et je le répète à cette heure: si quelqu’un vous annonce un autre Évangile que celui que vous avez reçu, qu’il soit anathème!
10 Presently for of men do I seek approval or God? Or do I seek men to please? if (for *k*) yet men I were pleasing, of Christ a servant not then would I was being.
Et maintenant, est-ce la faveur des hommes que je désire, ou celle de Dieu? Est-ce que je cherche à plaire aux hommes? Si je plaisais encore aux hommes, je ne serais pas serviteur de Christ.
11 I make known (for *N(k)O*) to you, brothers, the gospel which having been evangelised by me that not it is according to man;
Je vous déclare, frères, que l’Évangile qui a été annoncé par moi n’est pas de l’homme;
12 Neither for I myself from man received it (nor *NK(o)*) was I taught [it] but through a revelation of Jesus Christ.
car je ne l’ai ni reçu ni appris d’un homme, mais par une révélation de Jésus-Christ.
13 You have heard of for my way of life former in Judaism that beyond exceeding measure I was persecuting the church of God and was destroying it;
Vous avez su, en effet, quelle était autrefois ma conduite dans le judaïsme, comment je persécutais à outrance et ravageais l’Église de Dieu,
14 And I was advancing in Judaism beyond many contemporaries in the countrymen of mine more abundantly zealous being of the fathers of mine traditions.
et comment j’étais plus avancé dans le judaïsme que beaucoup de ceux de mon âge et de ma nation, étant animé d’un zèle excessif pour les traditions de mes pères.
15 When however was pleased God the [One] having selected me from [the] womb of mother of mine and having called [me] through the grace of Him
Mais, lorsqu’il plut à celui qui m’avait mis à part dès le sein de ma mère, et qui m’a appelé par sa grâce,
16 to reveal the Son of Him in me myself, that I may evangelise Him among the Gentiles, immediately not I consulted with flesh and with blood,
de révéler en moi son Fils, afin que je l’annonçasse parmi les païens, aussitôt, je ne consultai ni la chair ni le sang,
17 nor did I go up to Jerusalem to the before me apostles, but I went away into Arabia and again returned to Damascus.
et je ne montai point à Jérusalem vers ceux qui furent apôtres avant moi, mais je partis pour l’Arabie. Puis je revins encore à Damas.
18 Then after years three I went up to Jerusalem to make acquaintance with (Cephas *N(K)O*) and I remained with him days fifteen;
Trois ans plus tard, je montai à Jérusalem pour faire la connaissance de Céphas, et je demeurai quinze jours chez lui.
19 Other however of the apostles none I saw, only except James the brother of the Lord.
Mais je ne vis aucun autre des apôtres, si ce n’est Jacques, le frère du Seigneur.
20 In what now I write to you, behold before God that not I lie.
Dans ce que je vous écris, voici, devant Dieu, je ne mens point.
21 Then I went into the regions of Syria and Cilicia;
J’allai ensuite dans les contrées de la Syrie et de la Cilicie.
22 I was then unknown by face to the churches of Judea that [are] in Christ,
Or, j’étais inconnu de visage aux Églises de Judée qui sont en Christ;
23 Only however hearing they were that the [one] persecuting us formerly now is evangelising the faith which once he was destroying;
seulement, elles avaient entendu dire: Celui qui autrefois nous persécutait annonce maintenant la foi qu’il s’efforçait alors de détruire.
24 And they were glorifying in me myself God.
Et elles glorifiaient Dieu à mon sujet.
