Exodus 24

1 And to Moses he said come up to Yahweh you and Aaron Nadab and Abihu and seventy of [the] elders of Israel and you will bow down from a distance.

Og han sagde til Moses: "Stig op til HERREN, du og Aron, Nadab og Abih og halvfjerdsindstyve af Israels Ældste, og tilbed i Frastand;

2 And he will draw near Moses to only him to Yahweh and they not they will draw near and the people not they will come up with him.

Moses alene skal træde hen til HERREN, de andre ikke, og det øvrige Folk må ikke følge med ham derop."

3 And he went Moses and he recounted to the people all [the] words of Yahweh and all the judgments and it answered all the people a voice one and they said all the words which he has spoken Yahweh we will do.

Derpå kom Moses og kundgjorde hele Folket alle HERRENs Ord og alle Lovbudene, og hele Folket svarede enstemmigt: "Alle de Ord, HERREN har talet, vil vi overholde."

4 And he wrote Moses all [the] words of Yahweh and he rose early in the morning and he built an altar under the mountain and two [plus] ten pillar[s] for two [plus] ten [the] tribes of Israel.

Da skrev Moses alle HERRENs Ord op; og tidligt næste Morgen rejste han ved Foden af Bjerget et Alter og tolv Stenstøtter svarende til Israels tolv Stammer.

5 And he sent [the] young men of [the] people of Israel and they offered up burnt offerings and they sacrificed sacrifices peace offerings to Yahweh young bulls.

Derefter sendte han de unge Mænd blandt Israeliterne hen for at bringe Brændofre og slagte unge Tyre som Takofre til HERREN.

6 And he took Moses half of the blood and he put [it] in bowls and [the] half of the blood he sprinkled on the altar.

Og Moses tog den ene Halvdel af Blodet og gød det i Offerskålene, men den anden Halvdel sprængte han på Alteret.

7 And he took [the] book of the covenant and he read [it] aloud in [the] ears of the people and they said all that he has spoken Yahweh we will do and we may obey.

Så tog han Pagtsbogen og læste den op i Folkets Påhør, og de sagde: "Vi vil gøre alt, hvad HERREN har talet, og lyde ham!"

8 And he took Moses the blood and he sprinkled [it] on the people and he said here! [the] blood of the covenant which he has made Yahweh with you on all the words these.

Derpå tog Moses Blodet og sprængte det på Folket, idet han sagde: "Se, dette er Pagtens Blod, den Pagt, HERREN har sluttet med eder på Grundlag af alle disse Ord."

9 And he went up Moses and Aaron Nadab and Abihu and seventy of [the] elders of Israel.

Og Moses, Aron, Nadab og Abihu og halvfjerdsindstyve af Israels Ældste steg op

10 And they saw [the] God of Israel and [was] under feet his like [the] working of pavement of sapphire and like [the] substance of the heavens to purity.

og skuede Israels Gud; under hans Fødder var der ligesom Safirfliser, som selve Himmelen i Stråleglans.

11 And against [the] nobles of [the] people of Israel not he stretched out hand his and they saw God and they ate and they drank.

Men han lagde ikke Hånd på Israeliternes ypperste Mænd. De skuede Gud, og de spiste og drak.

12 And he said Yahweh to Moses come up to me the mountain towards and be there so let me give to you [the] tablets of stone and the law and the commandment which I have written to teach them.

Og HERREN sagde til Moses: "Stig op til mig på Bjerget og bliv der, så vil jeg give dig Stentavlerne, Loven og Budet, som jeg har opskrevet til Vejledning for dem."

13 And he arose Moses and Joshua servant his and he went up Moses to [the] mountain of God.

Da bød Moses og Josua, hans Medhjælper op, og Moses steg op på Guds Bjerg;

14 And to the elders he said remain for us in this [place] until that we will return to you and here! Aaron and Hur [are] with you whoever [is] a master of matters he will draw near to them.

men til de Ældste sagde han: "Vent på os her, til vi kommer tilbage til eder. Se, Aron og Hur er hos eder; er der nogen, der har en Retstrætte, kan han henvende sig til dem!"

15 And he went up Moses to the mountain and it covered the cloud the mountain.

Derpå steg Moses op på Bjerget. Da indhyllede Skyen Bjerget,

16 And it settled down [the] glory of Yahweh on [the] mountain of Sinai and it covered it the cloud six days and he summoned Moses on the day seventh from [the] middle of the cloud.

og HERRENs Herlighed nedlod sig på Sinaj Bjerg. Og Skyen indhyllede Sinaj Bjerg i seks Dage, men den syvende Dag råbte HERREN ud fra Skyen til Moses;

17 And [the] appearance of [the] glory of Yahweh [was] like a fire consuming on [the] top of the mountain to [the] eyes of [the] people of Israel.

og medens HERRENs Herlighed viste sig for Israeliternes Øjne som en fortærende Ild på Bjergets Top,

18 And he went Moses in [the] midst of the cloud and he went up to the mountain and he was Moses on the mountain forty day[s] and forty night[s].

gik Moses ind i Skyen og steg op på Bjerget. Og Moses blev på Bjerget i fyrretyve Dage og fyrretyve Nætter.
