Ephesians 5
1 do be therefore imitators of God as children beloved
Seid nun Nachahmer Gottes, als geliebte Kinder,
2 and do walk in love even as also Christ loved (us *NK+O) and gave up himself for (us *NK+O) [as] an offering and a sacrifice to God into an aroma of a sweet smell.
und wandelt in Liebe, gleichwie auch der Christus uns geliebt und sich selbst für uns hingegeben hat als Darbringung und Schlachtopfer, Gott zu einem duftenden Wohlgeruch.
3 Sexual immorality however and impurity all or covetousness not even should be named among you as is proper to saints
Hurerei aber und alle Unreinigkeit oder Habsucht [O. Gier] werde nicht einmal unter euch genannt, gleichwie es Heiligen geziemt;
4 and filthiness and foolish talking or crude joking (which *N+kO) not (were fit *N+kO) but rather thanksgiving.
auch Schändlichkeit und albernes Geschwätz oder Witzelei, welche sich nicht geziemen, sondern vielmehr Danksagung.
5 This for (you should know *N+kO) realizing that any fornicator or unclean person or covetous man, (who *N+kO) is an idolater, not has inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God.
Denn dieses wisset und erkennet ihr, [Eig. wisset ihr, indem ihr erkennet] daß kein Hurer oder Unreiner oder Habsüchtiger, [O. Gieriger] [welcher ein Götzendiener ist] ein Erbteil hat in dem Reiche Christi und Gottes.
6 No one you should deceive with empty words; because of these things for comes the wrath of God upon the sons of disobedience.
Niemand verführe euch mit eitlen [O. leeren] Worten, denn dieser Dinge wegen kommt der Zorn Gottes über die Söhne des Ungehorsams.
7 Not therefore do be partakers with them.
Seid nun nicht ihre Mitgenossen.
8 You were for once darkness now however light in [the] Lord; as children of light do walk —
Denn einst waret ihr Finsternis, jetzt aber seid ihr Licht in dem Herrn; wandelt als Kinder des Lichts,
9 for the fruit of the (light [is] *N+KO) in all goodness and in righteousness and in truth —
[denn die Frucht des Lichts besteht in aller Gütigkeit und Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit],
10 discerning what is well-pleasing to the Lord.
indem ihr prüfet, was dem Herrn wohlgefällig ist.
11 And not do have fellowship with the works unfruitful of darkness, rather however even do expose [them];
Und habet nicht Gemeinschaft mit den unfruchtbaren Werken der Finsternis, vielmehr aber strafet sie auch; [O. stellet sie auch bloß]
12 the [things] for in secret being done by them shameful it is even to mention.
denn was heimlich von ihnen geschieht, ist schändlich selbst zu sagen.
13 But everything being exposed by the light is made visible; everything for which is becoming visible light is;
Alles aber, was bloßgestellt [O. gestraft] wird, wird durch das Licht offenbar gemacht; [O. was durch das Licht bloßgestellt wird, wird offenbar gemacht] denn das Licht ist es, welches alles offenbar macht. [And. üb.: denn alles, was offenbar gemacht wird, ist Licht]
14 Therefore it says: (do awake *N+kO) you who [are] sleeping and do rise up out from the dead, and will shine upon you Christ.
Deshalb sagt er: Wache auf, der du schläfst, und stehe auf aus den Toten, und der Christus wird dir leuchten!
15 do take heed therefore carefully how you walk not as unwise but as wise,
Sehet nun zu, wie ihr sorgfältig wandelt, nicht als Unweise, sondern als Weise,
16 redeeming the time, because the days evil are.
die gelegene Zeit auskaufend, denn die Tage sind böse.
17 Because of this not do be foolish, but (do understand *N+kO) what the will of the Lord [is].
Darum seid nicht töricht, sondern verständig, was der Wille des Herrn sei.
18 And not do be drunk with wine, in which is debauchery, Instead do be filled with [the] Spirit
Und berauschet euch nicht mit Wein, in welchem Ausschweifung ist, sondern werdet mit dem Geiste erfüllt,
19 speaking to each other (in *n) psalms and in hymns and in songs spiritual, singing and making melody (in *ko) the heart of you to the Lord,
redend zueinander [O. zu euch selbst] in Psalmen und Lobliedern und geistlichen Liedern, singend und spielend dem Herrn in [O. mit] eurem Herzen,
20 giving thanks at all times for all things in [the] name the Lord of us Jesus Christ to the God and Father;
danksagend allezeit für alles dem Gott und Vater im Namen unseres Herrn Jesu Christi,
21 Be submitting yourselves to one another in reverence (of Christ. *N+KO)
einander unterwürfig in der Furcht Christi.
22 you who [are] wives, to [your] own husbands (do submit yourselves *K+O) as to the Lord;
Ihr Weiber, seid unterwürfig euren eigenen Männern, als dem Herrn.
23 for (the *k) husband is head of the wife as also Christ [is the] head of the church, (and *k) He Himself (is *k) Savior of the body;
Denn der Mann ist das Haupt des Weibes, wie auch der Christus das Haupt der Versammlung ist; er ist des Leibes Heiland.
24 But (even as *N+kO) the church is subjected to Christ so also wives (to [their] own *K) husbands in everything.
Aber gleichwie die Versammlung dem Christus unterworfen ist, also auch die Weiber ihren Männern in allem.
25 you who [are] Husbands, do love the wives (of your own *K) even as also Christ loved the church and Himself gave up for her
Ihr Männer, liebet eure Weiber, gleichwie auch der Christus die Versammlung geliebt und sich selbst für sie hingegeben hat,
26 so that her He may sanctify having cleansed [her] by the washing of water by declaration
auf daß er sie heiligte, sie reinigend [O. gereinigt habend] durch die Waschung mit Wasser durch das Wort,
27 so that may present (He himself *N+kO) to Himself in glory the church not having spot or wrinkle or any of the such things, but that it may be holy and blameless.
auf daß er die Versammlung sich selbst verherrlicht darstellte, die nicht Flecken oder Runzel oder etwas dergleichen habe, sondern daß sie heilig und tadellos sei.
28 So ought (also *no) husbands to love the their own wives as the their own bodies. The [one] loving the his own wife himself loves;
Also sind auch die Männer schuldig, ihre [Eig. ihre eigenen] Weiber zu lieben wie [O. als] ihre eigenen Leiber. Wer sein [Eig. sein eigenes] Weib liebt, liebt sich selbst.
29 no [one] for at any time the his own flesh hated, but he nourishes and he cherishes it even as also [does] (Christ *N+KO) the church,
Denn niemand hat jemals sein eigenes Fleisch gehaßt, sondern er nährt und pflegt es, gleichwie auch der Christus die Versammlung.
30 for members we are of the body of Him (from the flesh of Him and from the of bones of Him. *K)
Denn wir sind Glieder seines Leibes, von seinem Fleische und von seinen Gebeinen.
31 Because of this will leave a man the father (of him *k) and mother and will be joined to (the wife *NK+o) of him, and will be the two into flesh one.
"Deswegen wird ein Mensch seinen Vater und seine Mutter verlassen und seinem Weibe anhangen, und die zwei werden ein [W. zu einem] Fleisch sein". [1. Mose 2,24]
32 mystery this great is, I myself however speak as to Christ and as to the church.
Dieses Geheimnis ist groß; ich aber sage es in Bezug auf Christum und auf die Versammlung.
33 However also you according to individual, each the his own wife so should love as himself, and the wife that she may respect the husband.
Doch auch ihr, ein jeder von euch liebe sein Weib also wie sich selbst; das Weib aber, daß sie den Mann fürchte.
