Acts 5
1 A man now certain Ananias named with Sapphira the wife of him sold a property
Lakini mtu mmoja jina lake Anania pamoja na mkewe Safira waliuza kiwanja.
2 and he kept back from the proceeds, already being aware also the wife (of him, *k) and having brought a portion certain at the feet of the apostles he laid [it].
Huku mkewe akijua kikamilifu, Anania alificha sehemu ya fedha alizopata, akaleta kiasi kilichobaki na kukiweka miguuni pa mitume.
3 Said however Peter; Ananias, because of why has filled Satan the heart of you to lie to [for] you the Spirit Holy and to keep back (yourself *o) from the proceeds of the land?
Petro akamuuliza, “Anania, mbona Shetani ameujaza moyo wako ili kumwambia uongo Roho Mtakatifu, ukaficha sehemu ya fedha ulizopata kutokana na kiwanja?
4 Surely remaining to you it was remaining And having been sold in the own authority it was? Why for did you purpose in the heart of you deed this? Not you have lied to men but to God!
Je, kabla hujauza hicho kiwanja si kilikuwa mali yako? Hata baada ya kukiuza, fedha ulizopata si zilikuwa kwenye uwezo wako? Kwa nini basi umewaza hila hii moyoni mwako kufanya jambo kama hili? Wewe hukumwambia uongo mwanadamu bali Mungu.”
5 Hearing now Ananias words these having fallen down he breathed his last. And came fear great upon all those hearing (these things; *k)
Anania aliposikia maneno haya akaanguka chini na kufa. Hofu kuu ikawapata wote waliosikia jambo lililokuwa limetukia.
6 Having arisen then the younger [men] covered him and having carried [him] out they buried [him].
Vijana wakaja, wakaufunga mwili wake sanda, wakamchukua nje kumzika.
7 It came to pass now about hours three afterward also the wife of him not knowing that having come to pass came in.
Saa tatu baadaye mkewe Anania akaingia, naye hana habari ya mambo yaliyotukia.
8 Replied then (to *no) (her *N+kO) Peter; do tell me if for so much the land you sold? And she said; Yes for so much.
Petro akamuuliza, “Niambie, je, mliuza kiwanja kwa thamani hii?” Akajibu, “Ndiyo, tuliuza kwa thamani hiyo.”
9 But Peter (said *k) to her; Why [is it] for it was agreed together by you to test the Spirit of [the] Lord? Behold the feet of those having buried the husband of you [are] at the door and they will carry out you.
Ndipo Petro akamwambia, “Imekuwaje mkakubaliana kumjaribu Roho wa Bwana? Tazama! Nyayo za vijana waliomzika mumeo ziko mlangoni, wewe nawe watakuchukua nje.”
10 She fell down then immediately (at *N+kO) the feet of him and breathed her last; Having come in then the young [men] found her dead, and having carried out they buried [her] by the husband of her;
Saa ile ile akaanguka chini miguuni mwake na kufa. Nao wale vijana wakaingia, wakamkuta amekufa, wakamchukua wakamzika kando ya mumewe.
11 And came fear great upon all the church and upon all those hearing these things.
Hofu kuu ikalipata kanisa lote pamoja na watu wote waliosikia juu ya matukio haya.
12 By now the hands of the apostles (were happening *N+kO) signs and wonders many among the people; And they were with one accord (all *NK+o) in the Colonnade of Solomon;
Mitume wakafanya ishara nyingi na miujiza miongoni mwa watu. Walioamini wote walikuwa wakikusanyika katika ukumbi wa Solomoni.
13 of the now rest no [one] was daring to join with them, but were magnifying them the people.
Hakuna mtu mwingine aliyethubutu kuambatana nao ijapokuwa waliheshimiwa sana na watu.
14 more now were added believing in the Lord, multitudes of men both and women,
Hata hivyo, waliomwamini Bwana wakazidi kuongezeka, wanaume na wanawake.
15 so as (even *no) (into *N+kO) the streets to bring out the sick and to put [them] on (cots *N+kO) and mats, that when is coming Peter at least at least the shadow (shall envelop *NK+o) some of them.
Hata wakawa wanawaleta wagonjwa na kuwalaza kwenye magodoro na kwenye vitanda barabarani ili yamkini Petro akipita kivuli chake kiwaguse baadhi yao.
16 Were coming together now also the multitude from the surrounding cities (into *k) Jerusalem bringing [the] sick and [those] being tormented by spirits unclean, who were healed all.
Pia watu wakakusanyika kutoka miji iliyokuwa karibu na Yerusalemu, wakileta wagonjwa na watu walioteswa na pepo wachafu. Hao wote wakaponywa.
17 Having risen up however the high priest and all those with him, which is being [the] sect of the Sadducees, were filled with jealousy
Kisha kuhani mkuu na wenzake wote waliokuwa pamoja naye, waliokuwa wa kundi la Masadukayo, wakajawa na wivu.
18 and they laid the hands (of them *k) on the apostles and put them in [the] jail public.
Wakawakamata mitume na kuwatia gerezani.
19 An angel however of [the] Lord during (the *k) night (having opened *N+kO) the doors of the prison, having brought out then them said;
Lakini wakati wa usiku, malaika wa Bwana akaja, akafungua milango ya gereza na akawatoa nje. Akawaambia,
20 do go and having stood do speak in the temple to the people all the declarations of the life this.
“Nendeni, mkasimame Hekaluni mkawaambie watu maneno yote ya uzima huu mpya.”
21 Having heard now they entered at the dawn into the temple and were teaching. Having come now the high priest and those with him they called together the Council even all the Senate of the sons of Israel and sent to the prison house to bring them.
Waliposikia haya wakaenda Hekaluni alfajiri wakaendelea kufundisha watu. Kuhani mkuu na wale waliokuwa pamoja nao walipowasili, alikusanya baraza na wazee wote wa Israeli wakatuma wale mitume waletwe kutoka gerezani.
22 And having come [the] officers not did find them in the prison. having returned then they reported back
Lakini wale walinzi wa Hekalu walipokwenda gerezani hawakuwakuta mitume mle. Kwa hiyo wakarudi na kutoa habari.
23 saying that The (indeed *k) prison house we found shut with all security and the guards (outside *K) already standing (before *N+kO) the doors, having opened [them] however inside no [one] we found.
Wakasema, “Tumekuta milango ya gereza imefungwa sawasawa na askari wa gereza wamesimama nje ya mlango, lakini tulipofungua milango hakuwepo mtu yeyote ndani.”
24 When now they heard words these both (the priest and the *K) captain of the temple and the chief priests were perplexed concerning them, what maybe would be this.
Basi mkuu wa walinzi wa Hekalu na viongozi wa makuhani waliposikia haya, wakafadhaika na kushangaa sana kwa ajili yao kwamba jambo hili litakuwaje.
25 Having come then a certain one he reported to them (saying *k) that Behold the men whom you put in the prison are in the temple already standing and teaching the people!
Ndipo mtu mmoja akaja akawaambia, “Tazameni watu mliowatia gerezani wako Hekaluni wakiwafundisha watu.”
26 Then having gone the captain with the officers (was bringing *N+kO) them not with force, they were afraid of for the people (so that *k) lest they may be stoned.
Ndipo yule mkuu wa walinzi wa Hekalu wakaenda pamoja na askari wakawaleta wale mitume, lakini bila ghasia kwa sababu waliogopa kupigwa mawe na watu.
27 Having brought then them they set [them] in the Council. And asked them the high priest
Wakiisha kuwaleta mitume wakawaamuru kusimama mbele ya baraza ili kuhani mkuu awahoji.
28 saying; (Surely *NK) by a charge we commanded you not to teach in name this. And behold you have filled Jerusalem with the teaching of you and you intend to bring upon us the blood of the man this.
“Tuliwaonya kwa nguvu msifundishe kwa jina hili, lakini ninyi mmeijaza Yerusalemu yote mafundisho yenu na tena mmekusudia kuleta damu ya mtu huyu juu yetu.”
29 Answering however Peter and the apostles said; To obey it is necessary to God rather than to men.
Petro na wale mitume wengine wakajibu, “Imetupasa kumtii Mungu kuliko wanadamu.
30 The God of the fathers of us raised up Jesus whom you yourselves killed having hanged [Him] on a tree;
Mungu wa baba zetu alimfufua Yesu kutoka kwa wafu, ambaye ninyi mlimuua kwa kumtundika kwenye msalaba.
31 Him God [as] Prince and Savior exalted by the right hand of Him to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.
Mungu alimtukuza, akamweka mkono wake wa kuume kuwa Kiongozi na Mwokozi ili awape Israeli toba na msamaha wa dhambi.
32 And we ourselves are (of him *k) witnesses of the declarations these and also the Spirit (now *k) Holy whom has given God to those obeying Him.
Nasi tu mashahidi wa mambo haya, vivyo hivyo na Roho Mtakatifu ambaye Mungu amewapa wale wanaomtii.”
33 And (having heard *NK+o) they felt cut up and (they were desiring *N+kO) to execute them.
Wale wajumbe wa baraza la wazee waliposikia haya, walijawa na ghadhabu, wakataka kuwaua mitume.
34 Having risen up however a certain [man] in the Council a Pharisee named Gamaliel, a teacher of the law honored by all the people, he commanded [them] outside for a short (while *k) the (men *N+KO) to put,
Lakini Farisayo mmoja, jina lake Gamalieli, aliyekuwa mwalimu wa sheria, aliyeheshimiwa na watu wote, akasimama mbele ya baraza akaamuru mitume watolewe nje kwa muda.
35 He said then to them; Men Israelites, do take heed to yourselves with men these what you are about to do.
Ndipo alipowaambia wajumbe wa baraza, “Enyi watu wa Israeli, fikirini kwa uangalifu mnayotaka kuwatendea watu hawa.
36 Before for these days rose up Theudas affirming to be somebody himself, to whom (were joined *N+k+o) of men number (about *N+kO) four hundred; who was executed, and all as many as were persuaded by him they were dispersed and they it came to no [thing].
Kwa maana wakati uliopita, aliinuka mtu mmoja jina lake Theuda, alijidai kuwa yeye ni mtu maarufu, akapata wafuasi wapatao 400 walioambatana naye. Lakini aliuawa, na wafuasi wake wote wakatawanyika, wakawa si kitu.
37 After this man rose up Judas the Galilean in the days of the registration and drew away people (significant number of *K) after him; And he And he perished, and all as many as were persuaded by him were scattered.
Baada yake, alitokea Yuda Mgalilaya wakati wa kuorodhesha watu, naye akaongoza kundi la watu kuasi. Yeye pia aliuawa, nao wafuasi wake wakatawanyika.
38 And now I say to you, do withdraw from men these and (do release *N+kO) them, for if shall be from men plan this or work this, it will be overthrown;
Kwa hiyo, kwa habari ya jambo hili nawashauri, jiepusheni na watu hawa. Waacheni waende zao! Kwa maana kama kusudi lao na shughuli yao imetokana na mwanadamu, haitafanikiwa.
39 if however from God it is, not (you will be able *N+kO) to overthrow (them, *N+KO) otherwise otherwise also fighting against God You shall be found.
Lakini ikiwa imetoka kwa Mungu, hamtaweza kuwazuia watu hawa. Badala yake mtajikuta mnapigana na Mungu.”
40 They were persuaded now by him, and having called in the apostles having beaten they commanded [them] not to speak in the name of Jesus and released (them. *k)
Wakapokea ushauri wa Gamalieli. Wakawaita mitume ndani, wakaamuru wachapwe mijeledi, kisha wakawaagiza wasinene tena kwa jina la Yesu, wakawaachia waende zao.
41 They indeed therefore were departing rejoicing from [the] presence of the Council, that they had been counted worthy for the Name (of him *K+O) to suffer dishonor;
Nao mitume wakatoka nje ya baraza, wakiwa wamejaa furaha kwa sababu wamehesabiwa kustahili kupata aibu kwa ajili ya jina la Yesu.
42 Every then day in the temple and in house not they were ceasing teaching and evangelising [that] the Christ [is] Jesus.
Kila siku, Hekaluni na nyumba kwa nyumba, hawakuacha kufundisha na kuhubiri habari njema kwamba Yesu ndiye Kristo.
