< Acts 23 >

1 Having looked intently then Paul at the Council he said; Men brothers, I myself in all conscience good have lived as a citizen to God unto this day.
ಸಭಾಸದ್ಲೋಕಾನ್ ಪ್ರತಿ ಪೌಲೋಽನನ್ಯದೃಷ್ಟ್ಯಾ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ ಅಕಥಯತ್, ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣಾ ಅದ್ಯ ಯಾವತ್ ಸರಲೇನ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ತಃಕರಣೇನೇಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಸಾಕ್ಷಾದ್ ಆಚರಾಮಿ|
2 Then the high priest Ananias commanded to those standing by him to strike of him the mouth.
ಅನೇನ ಹನಾನೀಯನಾಮಾ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಸ್ತಂ ಕಪೋಲೇ ಚಪೇಟೇನಾಹನ್ತುಂ ಸಮೀಪಸ್ಥಲೋಕಾನ್ ಆದಿಷ್ಟವಾನ್|
3 Then Paul to him said; To strike you is about God, wall whitewashed! And you yourself do you sit judging me according to the law, and violating law you command me to be struck?
ತದಾ ಪೌಲಸ್ತಮವದತ್, ಹೇ ಬಹಿಷ್ಪರಿಷ್ಕೃತ, ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ತ್ವಾಂ ಪ್ರಹರ್ತ್ತುಮ್ ಉದ್ಯತೋಸ್ತಿ, ಯತೋ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾನುಸಾರೇಣ ವಿಚಾರಯಿತುಮ್ ಉಪವಿಶ್ಯ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಂ ಲಙ್ಘಿತ್ವಾ ಮಾಂ ಪ್ರಹರ್ತ್ತುಮ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯಸಿ|
4 Those who now standing by said; The high priest of God do you insult?
ತತೋ ನಿಕಟಸ್ಥಾ ಲೋಕಾ ಅಕಥಯನ್, ತ್ವಂ ಕಿಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಂ ನಿನ್ದಸಿ?
5 Was saying then Paul; Not I had known, brothers, that he is high priest; it has been written for (that *no) [The] ruler of the people of you not you will speak evil [of].’
ತತಃ ಪೌಲಃ ಪ್ರತಿಭಾಷಿತವಾನ್ ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕ ಏಷ ಇತಿ ನ ಬುದ್ಧಂ ಮಯಾ ತದನ್ಯಚ್ಚ ಸ್ವಲೋಕಾನಾಮ್ ಅಧಿಪತಿಂ ಪ್ರತಿ ದುರ್ವ್ವಾಕ್ಯಂ ಮಾ ಕಥಯ, ಏತಾದೃಶೀ ಲಿಪಿರಸ್ತಿ|
6 Having known then Paul that the one part consists of Sadducees but the other of Pharisees (he was crying out *N+kO) in the Council; Men brothers, I myself a Pharisee am, [the] son (of Pharisees; *N+KO) concerning [the] hope and resurrection of [the] dead I myself am judged.
ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಪೌಲಸ್ತೇಷಾಮ್ ಅರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಸಿದೂಕಿಲೋಕಾ ಅರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಫಿರೂಶಿಲೋಕಾ ಇತಿ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚೈಃ ಸಭಾಸ್ಥಲೋಕಾನ್ ಅವದತ್ ಹೇ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣ ಅಹಂ ಫಿರೂಶಿಮತಾವಲಮ್ಬೀ ಫಿರೂಶಿನಃ ಸತ್ನಾನಶ್ಚ, ಮೃತಲೋಕಾನಾಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಾನೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾಶಾಕರಣಾದ್ ಅಹಮಪವಾದಿತೋಸ್ಮಿ|
7 This then of him (saying *N+k+o) arose a dissension between the Pharisees and (of the *k) Sadducees, and was divided the crowd.
ಇತಿ ಕಥಾಯಾಂ ಕಥಿತಾಯಾಂ ಫಿರೂಶಿಸಿದೂಕಿನೋಃ ಪರಸ್ಪರಂ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಕ್ಯತ್ವಾತ್ ಸಭಾಯಾ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ದ್ವೌ ಸಂಘೌ ಜಾತೌ|
8 Sadducees indeed for say not there to be resurrection (neither [to be] *N+kO) angel nor [to be] spirit; Pharisees however confess both.
ಯತಃ ಸಿದೂಕಿಲೋಕಾ ಉತ್ಥಾನಂ ಸ್ವರ್ಗೀಯದೂತಾ ಆತ್ಮಾನಶ್ಚ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಷಾಮ್ ಏತೇಷಾಂ ಕಮಪಿ ನ ಮನ್ಯನ್ತೇ, ಕಿನ್ತು ಫಿರೂಶಿನಃ ಸರ್ವ್ವಮ್ ಅಙ್ಗೀಕುರ್ವ್ವನ್ತಿ|
9 Arose then a clamor great; and having risen up (some *NO) (of the scribes *N+kO) of the party of the Pharisees they were contending saying; No [thing] evil we find in man this; What if now a spirit has spoken to him or an angel (Surely we shall be fighting God? *K)
ತತಃ ಪರಸ್ಪರಮ್ ಅತಿಶಯಕೋಲಾಹಲೇ ಸಮುಪಸ್ಥಿತೇ ಫಿರೂಶಿನಾಂ ಪಕ್ಷೀಯಾಃ ಸಭಾಸ್ಥಾ ಅಧ್ಯಾಪಕಾಃ ಪ್ರತಿಪಕ್ಷಾ ಉತ್ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ತೋ ಽಕಥಯನ್, ಏತಸ್ಯ ಮಾನವಸ್ಯ ಕಮಪಿ ದೋಷಂ ನ ಪಶ್ಯಾಮಃ; ಯದಿ ಕಶ್ಚಿದ್ ಆತ್ಮಾ ವಾ ಕಶ್ಚಿದ್ ದೂತ ಏನಂ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾದಿಶತ್ ತರ್ಹಿ ವಯಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ಪ್ರಾತಿಕೂಲ್ಯೇನ ನ ಯೋತ್ಸ್ಯಾಮಃ|
10 great then (is becoming *N+kO) dissension, (having feared *N+kO) the commander lest may be torn to pieces Paul by them he commanded the troop (having gone down *NK+o) (and *k) to take by force him from midst of them, to bring [him] then into the barracks.
ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಅತೀವ ಭಿನ್ನವಾಕ್ಯತ್ವೇ ಸತಿ ತೇ ಪೌಲಂ ಖಣ್ಡಂ ಖಣ್ಡಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯನ್ತೀತ್ಯಾಶಙ್ಕಯಾ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತಿಃ ಸೇನಾಗಣಂ ತತ್ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಯಾತುಂ ಸಭಾತೋ ಬಲಾತ್ ಪೌಲಂ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ದುರ್ಗಂ ನೇತಞ್ಚಾಜ್ಞಾಪಯತ್|
11 But on the following night having stood by him the Lord said; Take courage (Paul; *k) as for you have fully testified about Me at Jerusalem, thus you it behooves also in Rome to testify.
ರಾತ್ರೋ ಪ್ರಭುಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್ ಹೇ ಪೌಲ ನಿರ್ಭಯೋ ಭವ ಯಥಾ ಯಿರೂಶಾಲಮ್ನಗರೇ ಮಯಿ ಸಾಕ್ಷ್ಯಂ ದತ್ತವಾನ್ ತಥಾ ರೋಮಾನಗರೇಪಿ ತ್ವಯಾ ದಾತವ್ಯಮ್|
12 When it was becoming then day having made a conspiracy (the Jews *N+kO) put under an oath themselves declaring neither to eat nor to drink until that they may kill Paul.
ದಿನೇ ಸಮುಪಸ್ಥಿತೇ ಸತಿ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಲೋಕಾ ಏಕಮನ್ತ್ರಣಾಃ ಸನ್ತಃ ಪೌಲಂ ನ ಹತ್ವಾ ಭೋಜನಪಾನೇ ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮ ಇತಿ ಶಪಥೇನ ಸ್ವಾನ್ ಅಬಧ್ನನ್|
13 There were now more than forty this plot (having made; *N+kO)
ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶಜ್ಜನೇಭ್ಯೋಽಧಿಕಾ ಲೋಕಾ ಇತಿ ಪಣಮ್ ಅಕುರ್ವ್ವನ್|
14 who having come to the chief priests and to the elders said; With an oath we have bound ourselves nothing to eat until that we may kill Paul.
ತೇ ಮಹಾಯಾಜಕಾನಾಂ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನಲೋಕಾನಾಞ್ಚ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಕಥಯನ್, ವಯಂ ಪೌಲಂ ನ ಹತ್ವಾ ಕಿಮಪಿ ನ ಭೋಕ್ಷ್ಯಾಮಹೇ ದೃಢೇನಾನೇನ ಶಪಥೇನ ಬದ್ಧ್ವಾ ಅಭವಾಮ|
15 Now therefore you yourselves do make a report to the commander along with the Council, so that (tomorrow *K) he may bring down him (to *N+kO) you as being about to examine more earnestly the [things] about him; we ourselves then before drawing near of him ready we are to execute him.
ಅತಏವ ಸಾಮ್ಪ್ರತಂ ಸಭಾಸದ್ಲೋಕೈಃ ಸಹ ವಯಂ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಕಞ್ಚಿದ್ ವಿಶೇಷವಿಚಾರಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮಸ್ತದರ್ಥಂ ಭವಾನ್ ಶ್ವೋ ಽಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಸಮೀಪಂ ತಮ್ ಆನಯತ್ವಿತಿ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತಯೇ ನಿವೇದನಂ ಕುರುತ ತೇನ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತೇಃ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಂ ವಯಂ ತಂ ಹನ್ತು ಸಜ್ಜಿಷ್ಯಾಮ|
16 Having heard however the son of the sister of Paul (of the ambush, *N+kO) having come near and having entered into the barracks he reported [it] to Paul.
ತದಾ ಪೌಲಸ್ಯ ಭಾಗಿನೇಯಸ್ತೇಷಾಮಿತಿ ಮನ್ತ್ರಣಾಂ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಯ ದುರ್ಗಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ತಾಂ ವಾರ್ತ್ತಾಂ ಪೌಲಮ್ ಉಕ್ತವಾನ್|
17 Having called to [him] then Paul one of the centurions he was saying; young man this (do take *NK+o) to the commander; he has for to report something to him.
ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಪೌಲ ಏಕಂ ಶತಸೇನಾಪತಿಮ್ ಆಹೂಯ ವಾಕ್ಯಮಿದಮ್ ಭಾಷಿತವಾನ್ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತೇಃ ಸಮೀಪೇಽಸ್ಯ ಯುವಮನುಷ್ಯಸ್ಯ ಕಿಞ್ಚಿನ್ನಿವೇದನಮ್ ಆಸ್ತೇ, ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತತ್ಸವಿಧಮ್ ಏನಂ ನಯ|
18 The [one] indeed therefore having taken him he brought [him] to the commander and he says; The prisoner Paul having called to me he asked [me] this (young man *N+kO) to lead to you having something to say to you.
ತತಃ ಸ ತಮಾದಾಯ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತೇಃ ಸಮೀಪಮ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್, ಭವತಃ ಸಮೀಪೇಽಸ್ಯ ಕಿಮಪಿ ನಿವೇದನಮಾಸ್ತೇ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಬನ್ದಿಃ ಪೌಲೋ ಮಾಮಾಹೂಯ ಭವತಃ ಸಮೀಪಮ್ ಏನಮ್ ಆನೇತುಂ ಪ್ರಾರ್ಥಿತವಾನ್|
19 Having taken hold then of the hand of him the commander and having withdrawn in private he was inquiring: What is it that you have to report to me?
ತದಾ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತಿಸ್ತಸ್ಯ ಹಸ್ತಂ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ನಿರ್ಜನಸ್ಥಾನಂ ನೀತ್ವಾ ಪೃಷ್ಠವಾನ್ ತವ ಕಿಂ ನಿವೇದನಂ? ತತ್ ಕಥಯ|
20 He said then that The Jews have agreed to ask you that tomorrow Paul you may bring down into the Council as (it being about *N+K+O) something more earnestly to inquire about him.
ತತಃ ಸೋಕಥಯತ್, ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಲಾಕಾಃ ಪೌಲೇ ಕಮಪಿ ವಿಶೇಷವಿಚಾರಂ ಛಲಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ತಂ ಸಭಾಂ ನೇತುಂ ಭವತಃ ಸಮೀಪೇ ನಿವೇದಯಿತುಂ ಅಮನ್ತ್ರಯನ್|
21 You yourself therefore not may be persuaded by them, Lie in wait indeed for him of them men more than forty, who was put under an oath themselves neither to eat nor to drink until that they may execute him and now they are ready awaiting the from you promise.
ಕಿನ್ತು ಮವತಾ ತನ್ನ ಸ್ವೀಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಂ ಯತಸ್ತೇಷಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇವರ್ತ್ತಿನಶ್ಚತ್ವಾರಿಂಶಜ್ಜನೇಭ್ಯೋ ಽಧಿಕಲೋಕಾ ಏಕಮನ್ತ್ರಣಾ ಭೂತ್ವಾ ಪೌಲಂ ನ ಹತ್ವಾ ಭೋಜನಂ ಪಾನಞ್ಚ ನ ಕರಿಷ್ಯಾಮ ಇತಿ ಶಪಥೇನ ಬದ್ಧಾಃ ಸನ್ತೋ ಘಾತಕಾ ಇವ ಸಜ್ಜಿತಾ ಇದಾನೀಂ ಕೇವಲಂ ಭವತೋ ಽನುಮತಿಮ್ ಅಪೇಕ್ಷನ್ತೇ|
22 Indeed therefore [the] commander dismissed the (young man *N+kO) having instructed [him] No one to tell that these things you reported to me.
ಯಾಮಿಮಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ತ್ವಂ ನಿವೇದಿತವಾನ್ ತಾಂ ಕಸ್ಮೈಚಿದಪಿ ಮಾ ಕಥಯೇತ್ಯುಕ್ತ್ವಾ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತಿಸ್ತಂ ಯುವಾನಂ ವಿಸೃಷ್ಟವಾನ್|
23 And having called to [him] two certain of the centurions he said; do prepare soldiers two hundred so that they may go as far as Caesarea and horsemen seventy and spearmen two hundred for [the] third hour of the night,
ಅನನ್ತರಂ ಸಹಸ್ರಸೇನಾಪತಿ ರ್ದ್ವೌ ಶತಸೇನಾಪತೀ ಆಹೂಯೇದಮ್ ಆದಿಶತ್, ಯುವಾಂ ರಾತ್ರೌ ಪ್ರಹರೈಕಾವಶಿಷ್ಟಾಯಾಂ ಸತ್ಯಾಂ ಕೈಸರಿಯಾನಗರಂ ಯಾತುಂ ಪದಾತಿಸೈನ್ಯಾನಾಂ ದ್ವೇ ಶತೇ ಘೋಟಕಾರೋಹಿಸೈನ್ಯಾನಾಂ ಸಪ್ತತಿಂ ಶಕ್ತಿಧಾರಿಸೈನ್ಯಾನಾಂ ದ್ವೇ ಶತೇ ಚ ಜನಾನ್ ಸಜ್ಜಿತಾನ್ ಕುರುತಂ|
24 Mounts then providing so that having set upon [them] Paul they may bring [him] safely to Felix the governor;
ಪೌಲಮ್ ಆರೋಹಯಿತುಂ ಫೀಲಿಕ್ಷಾಧಿಪತೇಃ ಸಮೀಪಂ ನಿರ್ವ್ವಿಘ್ನಂ ನೇತುಞ್ಚ ವಾಹನಾನಿ ಸಮುಪಸ್ಥಾಪಯತಂ|
25 having written a letter (having *N+kO) form this:
ಅಪರಂ ಸ ಪತ್ರಂ ಲಿಖಿತ್ವಾ ದತ್ತವಾನ್ ತಲ್ಲಿಖಿತಮೇತತ್,
26 Claudius Lysias To the most excellent governor Felix Greeting.
ಮಹಾಮಹಿಮಶ್ರೀಯುಕ್ತಫೀಲಿಕ್ಷಾಧಿಪತಯೇ ಕ್ಲೌದಿಯಲುಷಿಯಸ್ಯ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರಃ|
27 man this having been seized by the Jews and being about to be executed by them, having come up with the troop I rescued (him *k) having learned that a Roman he is;
ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಲೋಕಾಃ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವಮ್ ಏನಂ ಮಾನವಂ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ಸ್ವಹಸ್ತೈ ರ್ಹನ್ತುಮ್ ಉದ್ಯತಾ ಏತಸ್ಮಿನ್ನನ್ತರೇ ಸಸೈನ್ಯೋಹಂ ತತ್ರೋಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ಏಷ ಜನೋ ರೋಮೀಯ ಇತಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾಯ ತಂ ರಕ್ಷಿತವಾನ್|
28 Resolving (then to know *N+kO) the charge on account of which they were accusing him I brought down (him *k) to the council of them;
ಕಿನ್ನಿಮಿತ್ತಂ ತೇ ತಮಪವದನ್ತೇ ತಜ್ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ತೇಷಾ ಸಭಾಂ ತಮಾನಾಯಿತವಾನ್|
29 whom I found being accused concerning questions of the law of them, not however [of anything] worthy of death or of chains having accusation.
ತತಸ್ತೇಷಾಂ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥಾಯಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧಯಾ ಕಯಾಚನ ಕಥಯಾ ಸೋಽಪವಾದಿತೋಽಭವತ್, ಕಿನ್ತು ಸ ಶೃಙ್ಖಲಬನ್ಧನಾರ್ಹೋ ವಾ ಪ್ರಾಣನಾಶಾರ್ಹೋ ಭವತೀದೃಶಃ ಕೋಪ್ಯಪರಾಧೋ ಮಯಾಸ್ಯ ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಃ|
30 When was being disclosed then to me a plot that against the man (to be about to *k) going to happen (by the Jews *K) (at once *NK+O) I sent [him] to you having instructed also to the accusers to speak the [things] against him before you. (Farewell! *KO)
ತಥಾಪಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯಸ್ಯಾಸ್ಯ ವಧಾರ್ಥಂ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾ ಘಾತಕಾಇವ ಸಜ್ಜಿತಾ ಏತಾಂ ವಾರ್ತ್ತಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ತತ್ಕ್ಷಣಾತ್ ತವ ಸಮೀಪಮೇನಂ ಪ್ರೇಷಿತವಾನ್ ಅಸ್ಯಾಪವಾದಕಾಂಶ್ಚ ತವ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಗತ್ವಾಪವದಿತುಮ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯಮ್| ಭವತಃ ಕುಶಲಂ ಭೂಯಾತ್|
31 Indeed therefore [the] soldiers according to that ordered them having taken Paul brought [him] through night to Antipatris.
ಸೈನ್ಯಗಣ ಆಜ್ಞಾನುಸಾರೇಣ ಪೌಲಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ತಸ್ಯಾಂ ರಜನ್ಯಾಮ್ ಆನ್ತಿಪಾತ್ರಿನಗರಮ್ ಆನಯತ್|
32 On the now next day having allowed the horsemen (to go *N+kO) with him they returned to the barracks;
ಪರೇಽಹನಿ ತೇನ ಸಹ ಯಾತುಂ ಘೋಟಕಾರೂಢಸೈನ್ಯಗಣಂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯಿತ್ವಾ ಪರಾವೃತ್ಯ ದುರ್ಗಂ ಗತವಾನ್|
33 who having entered into Caesarea and having delivered the letter to the governor presented also Paul to him.
ತತಃ ಪರೇ ಘೋಟಕಾರೋಹಿಸೈನ್ಯಗಣಃ ಕೈಸರಿಯಾನಗರಮ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ತತ್ಪತ್ರಮ್ ಅಧಿಪತೇಃ ಕರೇ ಸಮರ್ಪ್ಯ ತಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪೇ ಪೌಲಮ್ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾನ್|
34 Having read [it] then (governor *k) and having asked from what province he is and having learned that from Cilicia [he is],
ತದಾಧಿಪತಿಸ್ತತ್ಪತ್ರಂ ಪಠಿತ್ವಾ ಪೃಷ್ಠವಾನ್ ಏಷ ಕಿಮ್ಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯೋ ಜನಃ? ಸ ಕಿಲಿಕಿಯಾಪ್ರದೇಶೀಯ ಏಕೋ ಜನ ಇತಿ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ಕಥಿತವಾನ್,
35 I will hear fully you, he was saying, when also the accusers of you may have arrived. (having commanded *N+kO) (then *k) in the Praetorium of Herod to be guarded him.
ತವಾಪವಾದಕಗಣ ಆಗತೇ ತವ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರೋಷ್ಯಾಮಿ| ಹೇರೋದ್ರಾಜಗೃಹೇ ತಂ ಸ್ಥಾಪಯಿತುಮ್ ಆದಿಷ್ಟವಾನ್|
