< Acts 2 >

1 And during the arriving of the day of Pentecost they were (all *N+kO) (together *N+KO) in the one [place].
A, no ka taka mai te ra o te Petekoha, e noho tahi ana ratou katoa i te wahi kotahi.
2 And came suddenly out of heaven a sound like [the] rushing of a wind violent and it filled all the house where they were sitting
Na puta whakarere mai ana he haruru nui no te rangi, ano he hau nui e keri ana, a ki katoa te whare i noho ai ratou.
3 And there appeared to them dividing tongues as of fire (and *N+kO) sat upon one each of them
Heoi puta mai ana ki a ratou etahi arero he mea manganga, ano he ahi, a tau iho ana ki runga ki tenei, ki tenei o ratou.
4 And they were filled with (all *N+kO) Spirit Holy and began to speak in other tongues even as the Spirit was giving to utter forth to them.
5 Were now (in *N+kO) Jerusalem dwelling Jews, men devout from every nation of those under heaven.
I Hiruharama ano e noho ana etahi Hurai, he hunga whakaaro, no nga iwi katoa i raro o te rangi.
6 When was happening now sound this came together the multitude and was confounded, because (was hearing *NK+o) one each in their own language speaking them.
Na i te wa i rangona ai taua haruru, ka whakarapopoto te mano, ka pororaru, no te mea ka rangona e tera, e tera, tona reo e korerotia ana e ratou.
7 They were amazed then (all *KO) and were marveling saying (to one another: *K) (Surely *NK+o) behold (all *N+kO) these are who are speaking Galileans?
Na ka oho ratou katoa, ka miharo, ka mea, Na, ehara ianei enei katoa e korero nei i te hunga no Kariri?
8 And how we ourselves hear each in the own language of us in which we were born?
He aha tatou ka rongo nei, ia tangata, ia tangata, i o tatou reo o to tatou whanautanga?
9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites and those inhabiting Mesopotamia, Judea also and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia,
Ko te hunga o Patia, o Meria, o Erama, ko nga mea e noho ana i Mehopotamia, i Huria, i Kaparokia, i Ponoto, i Ahia,
10 Phrygia both and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya that [are] around Cyrene and those visiting [here] from Rome, Jews both and converts,
I Perukia, i pamapuria, i Ihipa, i nga wahi o Ripia e patata ana ki Hairini, me nga manuhiri o Roma, nga Hurai, nga porohiraiti,
11 Cretans and Arabs — [do] we hear speaking them in our own tongues the great things of God?
Nga Kariti, nga Arapi, e rongo ana tatou i a ratou e whakapuaki ana i nga mahi tohu a te Atua, no tatou ano nga reo.
12 Were amazed then all and (they were perplexed *N+kO) other to other saying; What (maybe *k) (intends *N+kO) this to be?
A miharo katoa ana ratou, pohehe ana, ka mea tetahi ki tetahi, He aha tenei?
13 Others however (mocking *N+kO) were saying that Of new wine filled they are.
Ko etahi i tawai, i mea, E ki ana ratou i te waina hou.
14 Having stood up however Peter with the eleven he lifted up the voice of him and spoke forth to them: Men of Judea and you who [are] inhabiting Jerusalem (all, *N+kO) this to you known should be and do give heed to the declarations of mine.
Otira ka whakatika a Pita me te tekau ma tahi, ka hikitia tona reo, ka whai kupu ki a ratou, E nga tangata o Huria, me koutou katoa e noho nei i Hiruharama, kia mohio koutou ki tenei, kia whai taringa mai ki aku kupu:
15 Not for as you yourselves suppose these are drunkards, it is for [the] hour third of the day,
Kahore hoki o enei haurangi me ta koutou e whakaaro nei, ko te toru noa hoki tenei o nga haora o te ra;
16 but this is that spoken through the prophet Joel:
Engari ko te mea tenei i korerotia e Hoera poropiti;
17 And it will be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of the Spirit of Mine upon all flesh and will prophesy the sons of you and the daughters of you, and the young men of you visions will behold and the elders of you (dreams *N+kO) will dream.
A tenei ake kei nga ra whakamutunga, e ai ta te Atua, ka ringihia e ahau toku Wairua ki nga kikokiko katoa; ka poropiti hoki a koutou tama, a koutou tamahine, ka moemoea hoki o koutou kaumatua:
18 and even upon the servants of Mine and upon the handmaidens of Mine in the days those I will pour out of the Spirit of Mine and they will prophesy.
Ae, ka ringihia ano e ahau toku Wairua i aua ra, ki aku pononga tane, ki aku pononga wahine; a ka poropiti ratou.
19 and I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood and fire and vapor of smoke.
Ka whakakitea ano e ahau nga mea whakamiharo i te rangi i runga, me nga tohu ki te whenua i raro; he toto, he kapura, he paowa pongere:
20 The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before (than *ko) coming (the *ko) day of [the] Lord great and glorious.
Ko te ra ka huri hei pouri, ko te marama hoki hei toto, i mua o te putanga mai o te ra o te Ariki, taua ra nui whakaharahara, rongonui.
21 And it will be, everyone who (when *NK+o) they shall call upon the name of [the] Lord will be saved.’
22 Men Israelites, do hear words these: Jesus of Nazareth, a man set forth by God to you by miracles and by wonders and by signs which did through Him God in [the] midst of you, even as (also *k) you yourselves know,
E nga tangata o Iharaira, kia rongo koutou ki enei kupu; Ko Ihu o Nahareta, he tangata i tino whaitohungia e te Atua ki a koutou i runga i nga merekara, i nga mea whakamiharo, i nga tohu i mea ai te Atua kia mahia e ia i waenganui o koutou, e mo hio ana ano ra koutou.
23 Him by the determined plan and foreknowledge of God delivered up (having taken *K) through (hand *N+kO) lawless having crucified You executed,
Ko tenei tangata i tukua atu, he mea i ata whakaaroa, a i mohiotia noatia ake e te Atua, tangohia ana e koutou, whakamatea iho, he mea ripeka na te ringa o nga tangata kino
24 whom God raised up having loosed the agony of death, inasmuch as not it was possible [for] to be held Him by it.
25 David for says about Him: I was foresseeing the Lord before me through all [times], because at [the] right hand of me He is that not I may be shaken;
Ko ta Rawiri korero hoki tenei mona, I kite ahau i te Ariki i mua i toku aroaro i nga ra katoa; kei toku ringa matau nei ia, e kore ai ahau e whakakorikoria:
26 Because of this was glad the heart of mine and rejoiced the tongue of mine, and now also the flesh of mine will dwell in hope.
Koia i koa ai toku ngakau, i whakamanamana ai toku arero: i takoto tumanako ai ano oku kikokiko.
27 for not You will abandon the soul of mine into (Hades, *N+kO) nor will You allow the Holy One of You to see decay. (Hadēs g86)
No te mea e kore e waiho e koe toku wairua i te reinga, e kore ano e tukua tau Mea Tapu kia kite i te pirau. (Hadēs g86)
28 You have made known to me [the] paths of life, You will fill me with joy in the presence of You.’
29 Men brothers, it is permitted [me] to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David that both he died and was buried and the tomb of him is among us unto day this.
E oku teina, e tika ana kia aronui he kupu ki a koutou mo te tupuna nei mo Rawiri, ara kua mate ia, kua tanumia, kei a tatou ano tona urupa, a taea noatia tenei ra.
30 A prophet therefore being and knowing that with an oath swore to him God out of [the] fruit of the loins of him (according to flesh going to raise up the Christ *K) to set upon (the throne *N+kO) of him,
I te mea he poropiti ia, a i mohio kua oati te Atua i te oati ki a ia, ka whakaputaina ake tetahi, he hua no tona hope, hei noho ki runga ki tona torona;
31 Having foreseen he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ that (neither was He left behind *N+kO) (the soul of him *K) into (Hades nor *N+kO) the flesh of Him saw decay. (Hadēs g86)
A, i tana kite wawe i tenei, korerotia ana e ia te aranga o te Karaiti, ara kihai tona wairua i waiho i te reinga, kihai ano tona kikokiko i kite i te pirau. (Hadēs g86)
32 This Jesus has raised up God, of which all we ourselves are witnesses.
Kua whakaarahia ake tenei Ihu e te Atua: ko matou katoa nga kaiwhakaatu.
33 To the right hand therefore of God having been exalted and the promise of the Spirit Holy having received from the Father He has poured out this which (now *k) you yourselves (both *no) are seeing and hearing.
34 Not for David ascended into the heavens, he says however himself: Said the Lord to the Lord of me; do sit at [the] right hand of Me,
Kahore hoki a Rawiri i kake ki te rangi; heoi e mea ana ia, I mea te Ariki ki toku Ariki, hei toku matau koe noho ai,
35 until when I may place the enemies of You a footstool of the feet of You.’
Kia meinga ra ano e ahau ou hoariri hei turanga waewae mou.
36 Assuredly therefore should know all [the] house of Israel that both Lord Him and Christ has made God — this Jesus whom you yourselves crucified.
No reira ka kia matau pu te whare katoa o Iharaira, kua meinga e te Atua hei Ariki, hei Karaiti, taua Ihu i ripekatia na e koutou.
37 Having heard then they were pierced (to the heart, *N+kO) they said then to Peter and the other apostles; What (shall we do, *N+kO) men brothers?
No ratou ka rongo, ka werowero i roto i o ratou ngakau, ka mea ki a Pita ratou ko era atu apotoro, E nga tuakana, me aha matou?
38 Peter then to them; do repent (he declared *N+kO) and should be baptized every one of you (in *NK+o) the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness (of the *no) sins (of you *no) and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit;
39 To you for is the promise and to the children of you and to all those at a distance, as many as maybe may call to Himself [the] Lord the God of us.
40 in other And words many (he earnestly testified *N+kO) and was exhorting (them *no) saying; do be saved from the generation perverse this.
He maha atu ano nga kupu i korero ai, i kauwhau ai ia, i mea ai, Me whakaora koutou i a koutou i tenei whakatupuranga parori ke.
41 Those indeed therefore (gladly *K) having received the word of him were baptized and were added (on *no) the day that souls about three thousand.
Na, ko nga mea tonu i tango i tana kupu i iriiria: me te mea e toru mano nga wairua i honoa mai ki a ratou i taua ra.
42 They were now steadfastly continuing in the teaching of the apostles and in fellowship, (and *k) in the breaking of the bread and in the prayers.
43 (There was becoming *N+kO) then upon every soul awe, many (and both *NK+o) wonders and signs through the apostles were taking place.
Tau iho ana te wehi ki nga wairua katoa; he maha hoki nga mea whakamiharo me nga tohu i meinga e nga apotoro.
44 All now those (believing *NK+o) were together the same and were having all things in common,
I noho tahi ano te hunga whakapono katoa, i huihuia ano hoki a ratou mea katoa;
45 and the possessions and the goods they were selling and they were dividing them to all as would anyone need had;
46 Every day and steadfastly continuing with one accord in the temple, breaking then at each house bread they were partaking of food with gladness and sincerity of heart
Haere tonu ana hoki ratou i tenei ra, i tenei ra ki te temepara, kotahi tonu ano te whakaaro; whawhati taro ana i o ratou kainga, kai ana i a ratou kai i runga i te koa, i te ngakau tapatahi;
47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord was adding those who were being saved every day (to *no) (them. *N+kO)
