Acts 18
1 And after (now *k) these things having departed (Paul *K) from Athens he came to Corinth,
੧ਇਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਅਥੇਨੈ ਤੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਕੁਰਿੰਥੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ।
2 And having found a certain Jew named Aquila, of Pontus a native, recently having come from Italy, and Priscilla wife of him, because of (to have commanded *NK+o) Claudius to depart all the Jews (out of *N+kO) Rome, he came to them;
੨ਅਤੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਅਕੂਲਾ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੀ ਜਨਮ ਭੂਮੀ ਪੁੰਤੁਸ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਥੋੜ੍ਹੇ ਚਿਰ ਦਾ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਪ੍ਰਿਸਕਿੱਲਾ ਨਾਲ ਇਤਾਲਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕਲੌਦਿਯੁਸ ਨੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਸਾਰੇ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਰੋਮ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਜਾਣ, ਸੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਗਿਆ।
3 and due to of the same trade being he was staying with them and (he was working; *NK+O) they were for tentmakers (by trade; *N+kO)
੩ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਦਾ ਇੱਕੋ ਹੀ ਕੰਮ ਸੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੰਬੂ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਸਨ।
4 he was reasoning now in the synagogue on every Sabbath, was persuading both Jews and Greeks.
੪ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਹਰ ਸਬਤ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਨਾਨੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਝਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ।
5 When now came down from Macedonia both Silas and Timothy, was occupied with the (word *N+KO) Paul earnestly testifying to the Jews to be the Christ Jesus.
੫ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਸੀਲਾਸ ਅਤੇ ਤਿਮੋਥਿਉਸ ਮਕਦੂਨਿਯਾ ਤੋਂ ਆਏ ਤਦ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੁੱਝ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦੇ ਰਿਹਾ ਸੀ, ਕਿ ਯਿਸੂ ਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ।
6 When are opposing however they and denigrating [him], having shaken out the garments he said to them; The blood of You [be] upon the head of you, clean I myself [am]; From now on to the Gentiles I will go.
੬ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਵਿਰੋਧ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਦ-ਵਿਵਾਦ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗੇ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਝਾੜ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਕਿ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਖੂਨ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਿਰ ਹੋਵੇ! ਮੈਂ ਨਿਰਦੋਸ਼ ਹਾਂ! ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਮੈਂ ਪਰਾਈਆਂ ਕੌਮਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਜਾਂਵਾਂਗਾ।
7 And having departed from there (he entered *N+kO) to [the] house of a certain one named (Titius *N+O) Justus worshiping the God, of whom the house was adjoining to the synagogue.
੭ਉਹ ਉੱਥੋਂ ਤੁਰ ਕੇ ਤੀਤੁਸ ਯੂਸਤੁਸ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਭਗਤ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਘਰ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਸੀ।
8 Crispus now the ruler of the synagogue believed in the Lord with all the household of him, And many of the Corinthians hearing were believing and were baptized.
੮ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਕਰਿਸਪੁਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਤੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਰਿੰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਹੁਤਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮਾ ਲਿਆ।
9 Said now the Lord in [the] night through a vision to Paul; Not do fear but do continue speaking and not may be silent,
੯ਤਾਂ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਨੇ ਰਾਤ ਦੇ ਵੇਲੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਰਸ਼ਣ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਨਾ ਡਰ ਸਗੋਂ ਬੋਲੀ ਜਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੁੱਪ ਨਾ ਰਹਿ।
10 because I myself am with you, and no [one] will lay a hand on you to harm you; because people there is to me many in city this;
੧੦ਇਸ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਬਹੁਤ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਹਨ।
11 He remained (now *N+kO) a year and months six teaching among them the word of God.
੧੧ਸੋ ਉਹ ਡੇਢ ਸਾਲ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ।
12 When Gallio however proconsul being of Achaia rose up with one accord the Jews against Paul and led him to the judgment seat,
੧੨ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਗਾਲੀਓ ਅਖਾਯਾ ਦਾ ਅਧਿਕਾਰੀ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਮਿਲ ਕੇ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਬੋਲੇ,
13 saying that Contrary to the law persuades this [man] men to worship God.
੧੩ਇਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਕਰਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
14 When is being about to now Paul to open [his] mouth said Gallio to the Jews; If indeed (therefore *K) it was unrighteousness some or crime wicked, O Jews, according to reason would (I have endured with *N+kO) you;
੧੪ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪੌਲੁਸ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਗਾਲੀਓ ਨੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਓ ਜੇ ਕੁਝ ਬੁਰਾਈ ਦੀ ਗੱਲ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨਾ ਯੋਗ ਹੁੰਦਾ।
15 if however (questions *N+KO) it is about a word and names and law of yours, you will behold [to it] yourselves; a judge (for *k) I myself of these things not resolve to be.
੧੫ਪਰ ਜੇ ਇਹ ਝਗੜੇ ਸ਼ਬਦਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾਵਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੀ ਆਪਣੀ ਬਿਵਸਥਾ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਹਨ ਤਾਂ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਆਪ ਹੀ ਜਾਣੋ, ਮੈਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਚਾਹੁੰਦਾ ਜੋ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਈਂ ਬਣਾ।
16 And he drove them from the judgment seat.
੧੬ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
17 Having seized then all [of them] (the Greeks *K) Sosthenes the ruler of the synagogue they were beating [him] before the judgment seat; And no [thing] about these things to Gallio (was concerning. *NK+O)
੧੭ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਸੋਸਥਨੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਫੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਪਰ ਗਾਲੀਓ ਨੇ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਵੱਲ ਕੁਝ ਧਿਆਨ ਨਾ ਕੀਤਾ।
18 Now Paul more having remained days many, of the brothers having taken leave he was sailing away to Syria — and with him Priscilla and Aquila — having shaved in Cenchrea the head; he had for a vow.
੧੮ਪੌਲੁਸ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਬਹੁਤ ਦਿਨ ਉੱਥੇ ਠਹਿਰ ਕੇ ਫੇਰ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਿਸਕਿੱਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਕੂਲਾ ਦੇ ਸੰਗ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਸੀਰੀਯਾ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਕੰਖਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਿਰ ਮੁਨਾਇਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੰਨਤ ਮੰਨੀ ਸੀ।
19 (They came *N+KO) now to Ephesus; and them and them left there, He himself then having entered into the synagogue (he reasoned *N+kO) with the Jews.
੧੯ਅਤੇ ਅਫ਼ਸੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਛੱਡਿਆ, ਪਰ ਆਪ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਬਹਿਸ ਕੀਤੀ।
20 When are asking now they for [him] a longer time to remain (with them *k) not he did consent;
੨੦ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਕੁਝ ਦਿਨ ਹੋਰ ਰਹੇ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਨਾ ਮੰਨਿਆ।
21 but (having taken leave *N+kO) (and *no) (to them *k) having said (necessary *KO) (me by all means the feast which is coming to do into Jerusalem; *K) Again (now *k) I will return to you God willing, (and *k) he sailed from Ephesus.
੨੧ਪਰੰਤੂ ਇਹ ਕਹਿ ਕੇ ਭਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਚਾਹੇ ਤਾਂ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਕੋਲ ਫ਼ੇਰ ਆਵਾਂਗਾ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਵਿਦਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਹਾਜ਼ ਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਅਫ਼ਸੁਸ ਤੋਂ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
22 and having landed at Caesarea, having gone up and having greeted the church he went down to Antioch;
੨੨ਉਹ ਕੈਸਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਤਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕਲੀਸਿਯਾ ਦੀ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਪੁੱਛੀ ਤਦ ਉਹ ਅੰਤਾਕਿਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ।
23 And having stayed time some he went forth passing through successively the Galatian region and Phrygia, (strengthening *NK+o) all the disciples.
੨੩ਉੱਥੇ ਕੁਝ ਚਿਰ ਰਹਿ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਚੱਲਿਆ ਗਿਆ, ਅਤੇ ਗਲਾਤਿਯਾ ਅਤੇ ਫ਼ਰੂਗਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਇਲਾਕੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਥਾਂ-ਥਾਂ ਫ਼ਿਰ ਕੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਤਕੜਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਗਿਆ।
24 A Jew now certain Apollos named, of Alexandria a native, a man eloquent, came to Ephesus mighty being in the Scriptures.
੨੪ਅਪੁੱਲੋਸ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਯਹੂਦੀ ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਸਿਕੰਦਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ, ਵਧੀਆ ਬੋਲਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਦਾ ਮਾਹਿਰ ਸੀ ਉਹ ਅਫ਼ਸੁਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਇਆ।
25 He was instructed [in] the way of the Lord, And being fervent in spirit he was speaking and he was teaching earnestly the [things] concerning (Jesus *N+KO) knowing only the baptism of John;
੨੫ਇਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਦੀ ਸਿੱਖਿਆ ਪਾਈ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਤਮਿਕ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਯਿਸੂ ਦੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਪੂਰੀ ਰੀਝ ਨਾਲ ਸੁਣਾਉਂਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਖਾਉਂਦਾ ਸੀ ਪਰ ਉਹ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਯੂਹੰਨਾ ਦੇ ਬਪਤਿਸਮੇ ਬਾਰੇ ਹੀ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ।
26 He then began to speak boldly in the synagogue. Having heard however him Priscilla and Aquila they took to [them] him and more accurately to him they expounded the way of God.
੨੬ਉਹ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਧੜਕ ਬੋਲਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਪਰ ਜਦੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਿਸਕਿੱਲਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਕੂਲਾ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਸੁਣੀ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਲਾ ਕੇ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਹੋਰ ਵੀ ਠੀਕ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਦੱਸਿਆ।
27 When is resolving then he to pass through into Achaia, having encouraged [him] the brothers wrote to the disciples to welcome him; who having arrived he helped greatly those having believed through grace;
੨੭ਜਦੋਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਅਖਾਯਾ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਦੀ ਦਲੀਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਤਦ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਲਾਸਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਚੇਲਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਖ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਆਦਰ ਕਰਨ। ਸੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ।
28 Powerfully for the Jews he was refuting publicly showing through the Scriptures to be the Christ Jesus.
੨੮ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਗ੍ਰੰਥਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਸਬੂਤ ਦੇ ਕੇ ਜੋ ਯਿਸੂ ਉਹੀ ਮਸੀਹ ਹੈ, ਵੱਡੀ ਤਕੜਾਈ ਨਾਲ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਯਹੂਦੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
