< Acts 17 >

1 Having passed through then Amphipolis and Apollonia they came to Thessalonica, where was (the *k) a synagogue of the Jews.
ಪೌಲಸೀಲೌ ಆಮ್ಫಿಪಲ್ಯಾಪಲ್ಲೋನಿಯಾನಗರಾಭ್ಯಾಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ಯತ್ರ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ಭಜನಭವನಮೇಕಮ್ ಆಸ್ತೇ ತತ್ರ ಥಿಷಲನೀಕೀನಗರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತೌ|
2 According to now the being customary with Paul he went in to them, and for Sabbaths three (he reasoned *N+kO) with them from the Scriptures,
ತದಾ ಪೌಲಃ ಸ್ವಾಚಾರಾನುಸಾರೇಣ ತೇಷಾಂ ಸಮೀಪಂ ಗತ್ವಾ ವಿಶ್ರಾಮವಾರತ್ರಯೇ ತೈಃ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಪುಸ್ತಕೀಯಕಥಾಯಾ ವಿಚಾರಂ ಕೃತವಾನ್|
3 opening and setting forth that the Christ it was being necessary to have suffered and to have risen out from [the] dead and that this is the Christ Jesus whom I myself preach to you.
ಫಲತಃ ಖ್ರೀಷ್ಟೇನ ದುಃಖಭೋಗಃ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಃ ಶ್ಮಶಾನದುತ್ಥಾನಞ್ಚ ಕರ್ತ್ತವ್ಯಂ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಸನ್ನಿಧೌ ಯಸ್ಯ ಯೀಶೋಃ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾವಂ ಕರೋಮಿ ಸ ಈಶ್ವರೇಣಾಭಿಷಿಕ್ತಃ ಸ ಏತಾಃ ಕಥಾಃ ಪ್ರಕಾಶ್ಯ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಂ ದತ್ವಾ ಸ್ಥಿರೀಕೃತವಾನ್|
4 And some of them were obedient and they joined themselves to Paul and to Silas, along with worshipping Greeks a multitude great of women then leading not a few.
ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ತೇಷಾಂ ಕತಿಪಯಜನಾ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶೀಯಾ ಬಹವೋ ಭಕ್ತಲೋಕಾ ಬಹ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರಧಾನನಾರ್ಯ್ಯಶ್ಚ ವಿಶ್ವಸ್ಯ ಪೌಲಸೀಲಯೋಃ ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ಗಾಮಿನೋ ಜಾತಾಃ|
5 Having become jealous now (the *o) ([being] disobedient *K) Jews and having taken to [them] of the market-loungers men certain wicked and having collected a crowd they were setting in uproar the city, (and *N+kO) having assailed the house of Jason they were seeking them (to bring out *N+kO) to the people;
ಕಿನ್ತು ವಿಶ್ವಾಸಹೀನಾ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಲೋಕಾ ಈರ್ಷ್ಯಯಾ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಾಃ ಸನ್ತೋ ಹಟಟ್ಸ್ಯ ಕತಿನಯಲಮ್ಪಟಲೋಕಾನ್ ಸಙ್ಗಿನಃ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಜನತಯಾ ನಗರಮಧ್ಯೇ ಮಹಾಕಲಹಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಯಾಸೋನೋ ಗೃಹಮ್ ಆಕ್ರಮ್ಯ ಪ್ರೇರಿತಾನ್ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ಲೋಕನಿವಹಸ್ಯ ಸಮೀಪಮ್ ಆನೇತುಂ ಚೇಷ್ಟಿತವನ್ತಃ|
6 Not having found however them they were dragging Jason and certain brothers before the city authorities crying out that The [ones] the world having upset these also here are come,
ತೇಷಾಮುದ್ದೇಶಮ್ ಅಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ಚ ಯಾಸೋನಂ ಕತಿಪಯಾನ್ ಭ್ರಾತೃಂಶ್ಚ ಧೃತ್ವಾ ನಗರಾಧಿಪತೀನಾಂ ನಿಕಟಮಾನೀಯ ಪ್ರೋಚ್ಚೈಃ ಕಥಿತವನ್ತೋ ಯೇ ಮನುಷ್ಯಾ ಜಗದುದ್ವಾಟಿತವನ್ತಸ್ತೇ ಽತ್ರಾಪ್ಯುಪಸ್ಥಿತಾಃ ಸನ್ತಿ,
7 whom has received Jason; And these all contrary to the decrees of Caesar do king another proclaiming to be Jesus.
ಏಷ ಯಾಸೋನ್ ಆತಿಥ್ಯಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ತಾನ್ ಗೃಹೀತವಾನ್| ಯೀಶುನಾಮಕ ಏಕೋ ರಾಜಸ್ತೀತಿ ಕಥಯನ್ತಸ್ತೇ ಕೈಸರಸ್ಯಾಜ್ಞಾವಿರುದ್ಧಂ ಕರ್ಮ್ಮ ಕುರ್ವ್ವತಿ|
8 They stirred up then the crowd and the city authorities hearing these things;
ತೇಷಾಂ ಕಥಾಮಿಮಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಲೋಕನಿವಹೋ ನಗರಾಧಿಪತಯಶ್ಚ ಸಮುದ್ವಿಗ್ನಾ ಅಭವನ್|
9 And having taken security from Jason and the rest they let go them.
ತದಾ ಯಾಸೋನಸ್ತದನ್ಯೇಷಾಞ್ಚ ಧನದಣ್ಡಂ ಗೃಹೀತ್ವಾ ತಾನ್ ಪರಿತ್ಯಕ್ತವನ್ತಃ|
10 And the brothers immediately through night sent away both Paul and Silas to Berea, who having arrived into the synagogue of the Jews were going.
ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಭ್ರಾತೃಗಣೋ ರಜನ್ಯಾಂ ಪೌಲಸೀಲೌ ಶೀಘ್ರಂ ಬಿರಯಾನಗರಂ ಪ್ರೇಷಿತವಾನ್ ತೌ ತತ್ರೋಪಸ್ಥಾಯ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನಾಂ ಭಜನಭವನಂ ಗತವನ್ತೌ|
11 These now were more noble than those in Thessalonica, who received the word with all readiness every day examining the Scriptures if would be these things so.
ತತ್ರಸ್ಥಾ ಲೋಕಾಃ ಥಿಷಲನೀಕೀಸ್ಥಲೋಕೇಭ್ಯೋ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾನ ಆಸನ್ ಯತ ಇತ್ಥಂ ಭವತಿ ನ ವೇತಿ ಜ್ಞಾತುಂ ದಿನೇ ದಿನೇ ಧರ್ಮ್ಮಗ್ರನ್ಥಸ್ಯಾಲೋಚನಾಂ ಕೃತ್ವಾ ಸ್ವೈರಂ ಕಥಾಮ್ ಅಗೃಹ್ಲನ್|
12 Many indeed therefore of them believed, and of the Grecian women prominent and men not a few.
ತಸ್ಮಾದ್ ಅನೇಕೇ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶೀಯಾನಾಂ ಮಾನ್ಯಾ ಸ್ತ್ರಿಯಃ ಪುರುಷಾಶ್ಚಾನೇಕೇ ವ್ಯಶ್ವಸನ್|
13 When however knew those from Thessalonica Jews that also in Berea was proclaimed by Paul the word of God, they came there also there also stirring up (and agitating *NO) the crowds.
ಕಿನ್ತು ಬಿರಯಾನಗರೇ ಪೌಲೇನೇಶ್ವರೀಯಾ ಕಥಾ ಪ್ರಚಾರ್ಯ್ಯತ ಇತಿ ಥಿಷಲನೀಕೀಸ್ಥಾ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾ ಜ್ಞಾತ್ವಾ ತತ್ಸ್ಥಾನಮಪ್ಯಾಗತ್ಯ ಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ಕುಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಮ್ ಅಜನಯನ್|
14 Immediately also then Paul sent away the brothers to go (until *N+kO) to the sea; (remained but *N+kO) both Silas and Timothy there.
ಅತಏವ ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಾತ್ ಸಮುದ್ರೇಣ ಯಾನ್ತೀತಿ ದರ್ಶಯಿತ್ವಾ ಭ್ರಾತರಃ ಕ್ಷಿಪ್ರಂ ಪೌಲಂ ಪ್ರಾಹಿಣ್ವನ್ ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೀಲತೀಮಥಿಯೌ ತತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಿತವನ್ತೌ|
15 Those now (escorting *N+kO) Paul brought (him *k) unto Athens, and having received a command unto Silas and Timothy that as quickly as possible they may come to him they were departing.
ತತಃ ಪರಂ ಪೌಲಸ್ಯ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಕಾಸ್ತಮ್ ಆಥೀನೀನಗರ ಉಪಸ್ಥಾಪಯನ್ ಪಶ್ಚಾದ್ ಯುವಾಂ ತೂರ್ಣಮ್ ಏತತ್ ಸ್ಥಾನಂ ಆಗಮಿಷ್ಯಥಃ ಸೀಲತೀಮಥಿಯೌ ಪ್ರತೀಮಾಮ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ಯ ತೇ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಾಗತಾಃ|
16 In now Athens is waiting for them Paul was provoked the spirit of him in him (seeing *N+kO) utterly idolatrous to be the city.
ಪೌಲ ಆಥೀನೀನಗರೇ ತಾವಪೇಕ್ಷ್ಯ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ತನ್ನಗರಂ ಪ್ರತಿಮಾಭಿಃ ಪರಿಪೂರ್ಣಂ ದೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ಸನ್ತಪ್ತಹೃದಯೋ ಽಭವತ್|
17 He was reasoning indeed therefore in the synagogue with the Jews and with those worshiping and in the marketplace on every day with those meeting [him];
ತತಃ ಸ ಭಜನಭವನೇ ಯಾನ್ ಯಿಹೂದೀಯಾನ್ ಭಕ್ತಲೋಕಾಂಶ್ಚ ಹಟ್ಟೇ ಚ ಯಾನ್ ಅಪಶ್ಯತ್ ತೈಃ ಸಹ ಪ್ರತಿದಿನಂ ವಿಚಾರಿತವಾನ್|
18 Some then also of the Epicureans and (of the *k) Stoics philosophers were encountering him; And some were saying; What maybe would intend babbler this to say? Others however; Of foreign gods he seems a proclaimer to be; because Jesus and the resurrection (to them *k) he was evangelising.
ಕಿನ್ತ್ವಿಪಿಕೂರೀಯಮತಗ್ರಹಿಣಃ ಸ್ತೋಯಿಕೀಯಮತಗ್ರಾಹಿಣಶ್ಚ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋ ಜನಾಸ್ತೇನ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ವ್ಯವದನ್ತ| ತತ್ರ ಕೇಚಿದ್ ಅಕಥಯನ್ ಏಷ ವಾಚಾಲಃ ಕಿಂ ವಕ್ತುಮ್ ಇಚ್ಛತಿ? ಅಪರೇ ಕೇಚಿದ್ ಏಷ ಜನಃ ಕೇಷಾಞ್ಚಿದ್ ವಿದೇಶೀಯದೇವಾನಾಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಕ ಇತ್ಯನುಮೀಯತೇ ಯತಃ ಸ ಯೀಶುಮ್ ಉತ್ಥಿತಿಞ್ಚ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯತ್|
19 Having taken hold (also *NK+o) of him to the Ares Hill they brought [him] saying; Are we able to know what [is] new this which by you is spoken teaching?
ತೇ ತಮ್ ಅರೇಯಪಾಗನಾಮ ವಿಚಾರಸ್ಥಾನಮ್ ಆನೀಯ ಪ್ರಾವೋಚನ್ ಇದಂ ಯನ್ನವೀನಂ ಮತಂ ತ್ವಂ ಪ್ರಾಚೀಕಶ ಇದಂ ಕೀದೃಶಂ ಏತದ್ ಅಸ್ಮಾನ್ ಶ್ರಾವಯ;
20 Strange things for some you are bringing to the ears of us; We resolve therefore to know (what [things] *N+kO) (maybe *k) (intends *N+kO) these things to be.
ಯಾಮಿಮಾಮ್ ಅಸಮ್ಭವಕಥಾಮ್ ಅಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಕರ್ಣಗೋಚರೀಕೃತವಾನ್ ಅಸ್ಯಾ ಭಾವಾರ್ಥಃ ಕ ಇತಿ ವಯಂ ಜ್ಞಾತುಮ್ ಇಚ್ಛಾಮಃ|
21 [The] Athenians now all and the visiting strangers in no [thing] else were spending their time than to tell something (and *N+kO) to hear something new.
ತದಾಥೀನೀನಿವಾಸಿನಸ್ತನ್ನಗರಪ್ರವಾಸಿನಶ್ಚ ಕೇವಲಂ ಕಸ್ಯಾಶ್ಚನ ನವೀನಕಥಾಯಾಃ ಶ್ರವಣೇನ ಪ್ರಚಾರಣೇನ ಚ ಕಾಲಮ್ ಅಯಾಪಯನ್|
22 Having stood then Paul in [the] midst of the Ares Hill he was saying; Men Athenians, in all things as very religious you I behold;
ಪೌಲೋಽರೇಯಪಾಗಸ್ಯ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ತಿಷ್ಠನ್ ಏತಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಪ್ರಚಾರಿತವಾನ್, ಹೇ ಆಥೀನೀಯಲೋಕಾ ಯೂಯಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಥಾ ದೇವಪೂಜಾಯಾಮ್ ಆಸಕ್ತಾ ಇತ್ಯಹ ಪ್ರತ್ಯಕ್ಷಂ ಪಶ್ಯಾಮಿ|
23 Passing through for and beholding the objects of worship of you I found even an altar on which had been inscribed: To an unknown God. (whom *N+kO) therefore not knowing you worship, (Him *N+KO) I myself proclaim to you.
ಯತಃ ಪರ್ಯ್ಯಟನಕಾಲೇ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಂ ಪೂಜನೀಯಾನಿ ಪಶ್ಯನ್ ‘ಅವಿಜ್ಞಾತೇಶ್ವರಾಯ’ ಏತಲ್ಲಿಪಿಯುಕ್ತಾಂ ಯಜ್ಞವೇದೀಮೇಕಾಂ ದೃಷ್ಟವಾನ್; ಅತೋ ನ ವಿದಿತ್ವಾ ಯಂ ಪೂಜಯಧ್ವೇ ತಸ್ಯೈವ ತತ್ವಂ ಯುಷ್ಮಾನ್ ಪ್ರತಿ ಪ್ರಚಾರಯಾಮಿ|
24 The God who having made the world and all things that [are] in it, He of heaven and earth being Lord not in hand-made temples dwells,
ಜಗತೋ ಜಗತ್ಸ್ಥಾನಾಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವವಸ್ತೂನಾಞ್ಚ ಸ್ರಷ್ಟಾ ಯ ಈಶ್ವರಃ ಸ ಸ್ವರ್ಗಪೃಥಿವ್ಯೋರೇಕಾಧಿಪತಿಃ ಸನ್ ಕರನಿರ್ಮ್ಮಿತಮನ್ದಿರೇಷು ನ ನಿವಸತಿ;
25 nor by hands (human *N+kO) is He served as needing anything, Himself giving to all life and breath (and *N+KO) (the *N+kO) all;
ಸ ಏವ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಭ್ಯೋ ಜೀವನಂ ಪ್ರಾಣಾನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಸಾಮಗ್ರೀಶ್ಚ ಪ್ರದದಾತಿ; ಅತಏವ ಸ ಕಸ್ಯಾಶ್ಚಿತ್ ಸಾಮಗ್ಯ್ರಾ ಅಭಾವಹೇತೋ ರ್ಮನುಷ್ಯಾಣಾಂ ಹಸ್ತೈಃ ಸೇವಿತೋ ಭವತೀತಿ ನ|
26 He made then of one (blood *K) every nation of men to dwell upon (all [the] face *N+kO) of the earth, determining (ordered *N+kO) times and the boundaries of the habitation of them
ಸ ಭೂಮಣ್ಡಲೇ ನಿವಾಸಾರ್ಥಮ್ ಏಕಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಶೋಣಿತಾತ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ ಮನುಷ್ಯಾನ್ ಸೃಷ್ಟ್ವಾ ತೇಷಾಂ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವನಿರೂಪಿತಸಮಯಂ ವಸತಿಸೀಮಾಞ್ಚ ನಿರಚಿನೋತ್;
27 to seek (God, *N+KO) if perhaps indeed they would touch Him and would find [Him], And (indeed *N+kO) not far from one each of us He is.
ತಸ್ಮಾತ್ ಲೋಕೈಃ ಕೇನಾಪಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರೇಣ ಮೃಗಯಿತ್ವಾ ಪರಮೇಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ತತ್ವಂ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತುಂ ತಸ್ಯ ಗವೇಷಣಂ ಕರಣೀಯಮ್|
28 In Him for we live and move and are,’ As also some of the among you poets have said; of [Him] For also offspring we are.’
ಕಿನ್ತು ಸೋಽಸ್ಮಾಕಂ ಕಸ್ಮಾಚ್ಚಿದಪಿ ದೂರೇ ತಿಷ್ಠತೀತಿ ನಹಿ, ವಯಂ ತೇನ ನಿಶ್ವಸನಪ್ರಶ್ವಸನಗಮನಾಗಮನಪ್ರಾಣಧಾರಣಾನಿ ಕುರ್ಮ್ಮಃ, ಪುನಶ್ಚ ಯುಷ್ಮಾಕಮೇವ ಕತಿಪಯಾಃ ಕವಯಃ ಕಥಯನ್ತಿ ‘ತಸ್ಯ ವಂಶಾ ವಯಂ ಸ್ಮೋ ಹಿ’ ಇತಿ|
29 Offspring therefore being of God not we ought to consider to gold or to silver or to stone, a graven thing of craft and imagination of man, the Divine Being to be like.
ಅತಏವ ಯದಿ ವಯಮ್ ಈಶ್ವರಸ್ಯ ವಂಶಾ ಭವಾಮಸ್ತರ್ಹಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯೈ ರ್ವಿದ್ಯಯಾ ಕೌಶಲೇನ ಚ ತಕ್ಷಿತಂ ಸ್ವರ್ಣಂ ರೂಪ್ಯಂ ದೃಷದ್ ವೈತೇಷಾಮೀಶ್ವರತ್ವಮ್ ಅಸ್ಮಾಭಿ ರ್ನ ಜ್ಞಾತವ್ಯಂ|
30 The indeed therefore times of ignorance having overlooked God now (He commands *NK+O) to men (all *N+kO) everywhere to repent;
ತೇಷಾಂ ಪೂರ್ವ್ವೀಯಲೋಕಾನಾಮ್ ಅಜ್ಞಾನತಾಂ ಪ್ರತೀಶ್ವರೋ ಯದ್ಯಪಿ ನಾವಾಧತ್ತ ತಥಾಪೀದಾನೀಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವತ್ರ ಸರ್ವ್ವಾನ್ ಮನಃ ಪರಿವರ್ತ್ತಯಿತುಮ್ ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಯತಿ,
31 (just as *N+kO) He set a day in which He is about to judge the world in righteousness by a man whom He appointed a guarantee having provided to all, having raised Him out from [the] dead.
ಯತಃ ಸ್ವನಿಯುಕ್ತೇನ ಪುರುಷೇಣ ಯದಾ ಸ ಪೃಥಿವೀಸ್ಥಾನಾಂ ಸರ್ವ್ವಲೋಕಾನಾಂ ವಿಚಾರಂ ಕರಿಷ್ಯತಿ ತದ್ದಿನಂ ನ್ಯರೂಪಯತ್; ತಸ್ಯ ಶ್ಮಶಾನೋತ್ಥಾಪನೇನ ತಸ್ಮಿನ್ ಸರ್ವ್ವೇಭ್ಯಃ ಪ್ರಮಾಣಂ ಪ್ರಾದಾತ್|
32 Having heard of now a resurrection of [the] dead some indeed were mocking [him], some however said; We will hear you concerning this (also *no) again.
ತದಾ ಶ್ಮಶಾನಾದ್ ಉತ್ಥಾನಸ್ಯ ಕಥಾಂ ಶ್ರುತ್ವಾ ಕೇಚಿದ್ ಉಪಾಹಮನ್, ಕೇಚಿದವದನ್ ಏನಾಂ ಕಥಾಂ ಪುನರಪಿ ತ್ವತ್ತಃ ಶ್ರೋಷ್ಯಾಮಃ|
33 (and *k) Thus Paul went out from [the] midst of them.
ತತಃ ಪೌಲಸ್ತೇಷಾಂ ಸಮೀಪಾತ್ ಪ್ರಸ್ಥಿತವಾನ್|
34 Some however men having joined themselves to him believed, among whom also [were] Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.
ತಥಾಪಿ ಕೇಚಿಲ್ಲೋಕಾಸ್ತೇನ ಸಾರ್ದ್ಧಂ ಮಿಲಿತ್ವಾ ವ್ಯಶ್ವಸನ್ ತೇಷಾಂ ಮಧ್ಯೇ ಽರೇಯಪಾಗೀಯದಿಯನುಸಿಯೋ ದಾಮಾರೀನಾಮಾ ಕಾಚಿನ್ನಾರೀ ಕಿಯನ್ತೋ ನರಾಶ್ಚಾಸನ್|
