Acts 10
1 A man now certain (was *k) in Caesarea named Cornelius, [was] a centurion of [the] Cohort which is called Italian,
Il y avait à Césarée un homme, nommé Corneille, centurion de la cohorte appelée Italique.
2 devout and fearing God with all the household of him, doing (also *k) alms many to the people and praying to God (through *N+KO) (all [times]; *N+kO)
Il était religieux et craignant Dieu, lui et toute sa famille, faisant aussi beaucoup d'aumônes au peuple, et priant Dieu continuellement.
3 He saw in a vision clearly as if about hour [the] ninth [hour] of the day an angel of God having come to him and having said to him; Cornelius!
Il vit clairement dans une vision, environ la neuvième heure du jour, un ange de Dieu qui entra chez lui, et lui dit: Corneille!
4 And having looked intently on him and afraid having become he said; What is it, Lord? He said then to him; The prayers of You and the alms of you have ascended as a memorial (before *N+kO) God.
Et ayant les yeux attachés sur l'ange et tout effrayé, il dit: Qu'y a-t-il, Seigneur? Et l'ange lui dit: Tes prières et tes aumônes sont montées en mémoire devant Dieu.
5 And now do send men to Joppa and do yourself summon Simon (someone *n+o) who (is called Peter; *NK+o)
Envoie donc présentement des gens à Joppe, et fais venir Simon, qui est surnommé Pierre.
6 He lodges with a certain Simon a tanner, whose is [the] house by [the] sea (this [one] will tell you what you it behooves to do. *K)
Il est logé chez un certain Simon, corroyeur, qui a sa maison près de la mer; c'est lui qui te dira ce qu'il faut que tu fasses.
7 When then had departed the angel who is speaking (to him, *N+KO) having called two of the servants (of him *k) and a soldier devout of those attending to him,
Quand l'ange qui parlait à Corneille, se fut retiré, celui-ci appela deux de ses domestiques et un soldat pieux, de ceux qui se tenaient près de lui,
8 and having related all things to them he sent them to Joppa.
Et leur ayant tout raconté, il les envoya à Joppe.
9 On the now next day when are journeying (these *NK+o) and to the city are approaching, went up Peter on the housetop to pray about hour [the] sixth.
Le lendemain, comme ils étaient en chemin, et qu'ils approchaient de la ville, Pierre monta sur le haut de la maison, à la sixième heure, environ, pour prier.
10 He became then hungry and was desiring to eat. when were preparing however ([some] of them happened *N+kO) upon him a trance,
Et ayant faim, il voulut prendre son repas; et comme on le lui apprêtait, il tomba en extase.
11 and he beholds heaven opened and descending (onto him *K) a vessel certain as a sheet great by four corners (bound and *KO) being let down upon the earth;
Il vit le ciel ouvert, et un vase qui descendait sur lui semblable à une grande nappe retenue par les quatre coins, et qui s'abaissait vers la terre;
12 in which were all the quadrupeds (and the beasts *K) and (the *k) creeping things of the earth and birds of heaven.
Dans lequel il y avait tous les quadrupèdes de la terre, et les bêtes sauvages, et les reptiles, et les oiseaux du ciel.
13 And came a voice to him: Having risen up Peter, do kill and do eat.
Et une voix lui dit: Pierre, lève-toi, tue, et mange.
14 And Peter said; In no way, Lord; for never I ate anything common (or *N+kO) unclean.
Mais Pierre répondit: Non, Seigneur; car je n'ai jamais rien mangé d'impur ou de souillé.
15 And a voice [came] again for [the] second time to him: What God has cleansed, you yourself not do call common.
La voix lui dit encore pour la seconde fois: Ne regarde pas comme souillé ce que Dieu a purifié.
16 This now took place for three times and (immediately *N+KO) was taken up the vessel into heaven.
Et cela arriva par trois fois; après quoi le vase fut retiré dans le ciel.
17 While then in himself was perplexed Peter what maybe would be the vision that he had seen, (and *k) behold the men who sent (from *N+kO) Cornelius having inquired for the house of Simon, stood at the gate;
Or comme Pierre hésitait en lui-même sur le sens de la vision qu'il avait eue, les hommes envoyés de la part de Corneille, s'étant informés de la maison de Simon, arrivèrent à la porte.
18 And having called out (they were asking *NK+o) if Simon who is being called Peter here is lodged.
Et ayant appelé, ils demandèrent si Simon, surnommé Pierre, était logé là.
19 And Peter (thinking *N+kO) over the vision said to him the Spirit: Behold men (three *NK+O) (are seeking *N+kO) you;
Et comme Pierre pensait à la vision, l'Esprit lui dit: Voilà trois hommes qui te demandent.
20 But having risen do go down and do proceed with them nothing doubting, (since *N+kO) I myself have sent them.
Allons, lève-toi, descends, et t'en va avec eux, sans faire aucune difficulté; car c'est moi qui les ai envoyés.
21 Having gone down then Peter to the men (who sent from Cornelius to him *K) he said; Behold I myself am whom you seek; what [is] the cause for which you are here?
Pierre étant donc descendu vers ces hommes qui lui étaient envoyés de la part de Corneille, leur dit: Me voici, je suis celui que vous cherchez; pour quel sujet êtes-vous venus?
22 And they said; Cornelius a centurion, a man righteous and fearing God being well testified to then by all the nation of the Jews, was divinely instructed by an angel holy to send for you to the house of him and to hear declaration from you.
Ils dirent: Corneille, centurion, homme juste et craignant Dieu, et à qui toute la nation des Juifs rend témoignage, a été averti par un saint ange, de te faire venir dans sa maison, pour entendre ce que tu lui diras.
23 Having called in therefore them he lodged [them]. On the now next day (having risen up *NO) (Peter *K) he went forth with them, and some of the brothers those from Joppa went with him.
Pierre les ayant donc fait entrer, les logea; et le lendemain il s'en alla avec eux, et quelques-uns des frères de Joppe l'accompagnèrent.
24 (and *k) On the (now *no) next day (he entered *N+kO) into Caesarea; and Cornelius was expecting them having called together the relatives of him and close friends.
Le jour suivant ils entrèrent à Césarée. Or, Corneille les attendait avec ses parents et ses plus intimes amis qu'il avait réunis.
25 as then was entering Peter, having met with him Cornelius having fallen at the feet worshiped [him].
Et comme Pierre entrait, Corneille alla au-devant de lui, et se jetant à ses pieds, l'adora.
26 But Peter lifted up him saying; do rise up; also I myself myself a man am.
Mais Pierre le releva, en disant: Lève-toi; moi-même aussi je suis un homme.
27 And talking with him he entered and he finds having gathered together many,
Et s'entretenant avec lui, il entra, et trouva plusieurs personnes assemblées.
28 He was saying then to them; You yourselves know how unlawful it is for a man Jewish to unite himself or to come near to [someone] foreign; And to me And to me God has shown nothing common or unclean to call man,
Et il leur dit: Vous savez qu'il est défendu à un Juif de se lier avec un étranger, ou d'aller chez lui; mais Dieu m'a appris à ne dire aucun homme souillé ou impur.
29 Therefore also without objection I came having been summoned. I inquire therefore, for what reason did you summon me?
C'est pourquoi, ayant été appelé, je suis venu sans aucune difficulté. Je vous demande donc pour quel sujet vous m'avez fait venir.
30 And Cornelius was saying; Ago four days until this the hour I was (fasting and *K) at the ninth (hour *k) praying in the house of mine, and behold a man stood before me in apparel bright
Alors Corneille dit: Il y a quatre jours, à cette heure, que j'étais en jeûne et en prières dans ma maison à la neuvième heure, et tout d'un coup un homme, couvert d'un vêtement resplendissant, se présenta devant moi,
31 and said; Cornelius, has been heard your prayer and the alms of you was remembered before God.
Et dit: Corneille, ta prière est exaucée, et Dieu s'est souvenu de tes aumônes.
32 do send therefore to Joppa and do yourself call for Simon who is called Peter; He lodges in [the] house of Simon a tanner by [the] sea (who having come he will speak to you. *K)
Envoie donc à Joppe, et fais venir Simon, surnommé Pierre; il est logé dans la maison de Simon, corroyeur, près de la mer; quand il sera venu, il te parlera.
33 At once therefore I sent to you, you yourself then well did having come. Now therefore all we ourselves before God are present to hear all the [things] commanded you by the (Lord. *N+KO)
C'est pourquoi j'ai aussitôt envoyé vers toi, et tu as bien fait de venir. Nous voici donc tous maintenant présents devant Dieu, pour entendre tout ce que Dieu t'a commandé.
34 Having opened then Peter the mouth he said; Of a truth I grasped that not is One who shows partiality God,
Alors Pierre, prenant la parole, dit: En vérité, je reconnais que Dieu n'a point égard à l'apparence des personnes;
35 but in every nation which is fearing Him and working righteousness acceptable to Him is.
Mais qu'en toute nation, celui qui le craint et qui s'adonne à la justice, lui est agréable.
36 the word that He sent to the sons of Israel evangelising [about] peace through Jesus Christ — He is of all Lord,
Telle est la parole qu'il a donnée aux enfants d'Israël, en leur annonçant la bonne nouvelle de la paix par Jésus-Christ, qui est le Seigneur de tous.
37 You yourselves know the having come declaration through all Judea, (having begun *N+kO) from Galilee after the baptism that proclaimed John:
Vous savez ce qui est arrivé dans toute la Judée, après avoir commencé en Galilée, après le baptême que Jean a prêché;
38 Jesus from Nazareth, how anointed Him God Spirit with Holy and with power, who went about doing good and healing all those being oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him;
Comment Dieu a oint du Saint-Esprit et de puissance Jésus de Nazareth, qui allait de lieu en lieu faisant du bien et guérissant tous ceux qui étaient opprimés par le diable; parce que Dieu était avec lui.
39 And we ourselves (are *k) witnesses of all things that He did in both the region of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom (also *no) they executed having hanged [Him] on a tree.
Et nous, nous sommes témoins de toutes les choses qu'il a faites, tant au pays des Juifs qu'à Jérusalem. Ils l'ont fait mourir, le pendant au bois;
40 This One God raised up (on *n) the third day and gave Him revealed to become
Mais Dieu l'a ressuscité le troisième jour, et lui a donné de se faire voir,
41 not [revealed] to all the people, but to [the] witnesses who chosen beforehand by God to us who we ate with and we drank with Him after rising of Him out from [the] dead;
Non à tout le peuple, mais à des témoins que Dieu avait choisis d'avance; à nous qui avons mangé et bu avec lui, après qu'il a été ressuscité des morts.
42 And He instructed us to proclaim to the people and to testify fully that (He *N+kO) is the [One] appointed by God [as] judge of living and dead.
Et il nous a commandé de prêcher au peuple, et d'attester que c'est lui que Dieu a établi juge des vivants et des morts.
43 To Him all the prophets bear witness [that] forgiveness of sins receiving through the name of Him everyone who is believing in Him.
Tous les prophètes rendent de lui ce témoignage, que quiconque croit en lui, reçoit la rémission des péchés par son nom.
44 Still when is speaking Peter declarations these fell the Spirit Holy upon all those hearing the word.
Comme Pierre tenait encore ce discours, le Saint-Esprit descendit sur tous ceux qui écoutaient ce qu'il disait.
45 And were amazed the from [the] circumcision believers (as many as *NK+O) had come with Peter, that even upon the Gentiles the gift of the Holy Spirit has been poured out;
Et tous les fidèles circoncis, qui étaient venus avec Pierre, furent étonnés de ce que le don du Saint-Esprit était aussi répandu sur les Gentils;
46 They were hearing for when they are speaking in tongues and magnifying God. Then answered Peter;
Car ils les entendaient parler diverses langues, et glorifier Dieu.
47 surely not ever the water is able to withhold anyone not to baptize these who the Spirit Holy have received (as *N+kO) also [have] we ourselves?
Alors Pierre reprit: Quelqu'un peut-il refuser l'eau du baptême à ceux qui ont reçu le Saint-Esprit, aussi bien que nous?
48 He commanded (now *N+kO) them in the name (of Jesus Christ *NO) to be baptized (of the Lord. *K) Then they asked him to remain days some.
Et il commanda qu'on les baptisât au nom du Seigneur. Alors ils le prièrent de demeurer quelques jours avec eux.
