2 Corinthians 2
1 I judged (for *N+kO) within myself this not again in grief to you to come.
Rumal riꞌ xinchomaj chi man kixeꞌnsolij ta chik junmul rukꞌ bꞌis.
2 If for I myself grieve you again who (is *k) the [one] gladdening me except not the [one] being grieved by me?
Rumal chi we in kinyakow ibꞌis, ¿jachin kꞌu riꞌ ri kayoꞌw kiꞌkotemal chwe we man are ri winaq ri xinyak kibꞌis?
3 And I wrote (to you *k) this same thing, so that not having come grief (I may have *N+kO) from [those] of whom it was necessary me to rejoice having trusted in all you that my joy of all of you is.
Xintzꞌibꞌaj we riꞌ chiꞌwe, rech are kinopanik man kayak ta nubꞌis kumal ri keyakow nukiꞌkotemal. Kuꞌl na kꞌuꞌx chi are nukiꞌkotemal ri ikiꞌkotemal.
4 Out of for much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you through many tears, not that you may be grieved, but the love that you may know that I have more abundantly toward you.
Xintzꞌibꞌaj we riꞌ chiꞌwe rukꞌ bꞌis xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ kꞌaxkꞌolal pa ri wanimaꞌ, xuqujeꞌ rukꞌ oqꞌej, man xa ta kinyak ibꞌis, xane are kinkꞌut chiꞌwach ri unimal ri loqꞌanik.
5 If however anyone has caused grief, not me myself has he grieved but in part — that not I may burden all you.
We kꞌo jun uyakom nubꞌis, man xwi ta xuyak nubꞌis in, xane xuyak ibꞌis iwonojel rumal ri ubꞌanom (qas man xa ta kinya uwiꞌ).
6 Sufficient to such a one [is] the punishment this which [is] by the majority,
Ri winaq ri jewaꞌ kubꞌano, xtaqiꞌ che ri qꞌatoj tzij ri xkibꞌan qonojel ri winaq puꞌwiꞌ.
7 so that on the contrary rather for you to forgive and to comfort [him], lest perhaps by more excessive sorrow may be overwhelmed such a one.
Ri ix kꞌut chikuyu umak xuqujeꞌ chikubꞌisaj ukꞌuꞌx rech man kukamisaj ta ribꞌ pa ri bꞌis.
8 Therefore I exhort you to confirm toward him love.
Rumal riꞌ kinta chiꞌwe qas chikꞌutu cho we winaq riꞌ chi qas kiloqꞌaj.
9 For this indeed also did I write, so that I may know the proof of you, whether to everything obedient you are.
Are waꞌ uta we wuj xintzꞌibꞌaj chiꞌwe, rech jeriꞌ kinwilo we qas kixnimanik che ronojel ri kinbꞌij chiꞌwe.
10 To whomever now anything you forgive, I also myself; I also myself; and for I myself (to whom *N+kO) I have forgiven, if anything I have forgiven, [it is] for you in [the] presence of Christ,
Ri kikuy ix umak, kinkuy xuqujeꞌ in. Qas tzij we kꞌo jun jastaq ri nukuyum in, jewaꞌ nubꞌanom rumal qas cho ri Dios, xintoqꞌobꞌisaj iwach.
11 so that not we may be outwitted by Satan; not for of his schemes we are ignorant.
Rech ri Itzel man kachꞌeken taj piꞌwiꞌ. Rumal cher qetaꞌm jas ri kubꞌan che ri subꞌunik.
12 Having come now to Troas for the gospel of Christ also a door to me having been opened in [the] Lord,
Are xinopan chutzijoxik ri utz laj taq tzij pa ri tinimit Troas, xinwilo chi ri Dios xuya bꞌe chwe kintzijoj ri ubꞌiꞌ chike e kꞌi winaq.
13 not I have had rest in the spirit of mine in the not finding my Titus the brother of mine, instead having taken leave of them I went out to Macedonia.
Pune jeriꞌ, man utz taj xinnaꞌo rumal man xinriq ta ri wachalal Tito, rumal riꞌ xinel bꞌik chilaꞌ kꞌa te riꞌ xineꞌ pa Macedonia.
14 However to God [be] thanks to the [One] always leading in triumph us in Christ and the fragrance of the knowledge of Him making manifest through us in every place,
Xa tyox che ri Dios ri kubꞌan chaqe chi uj chꞌekenelabꞌ, xuqujeꞌ xa rumal qe uj, kutukij bꞌik ri ukꞌokꞌal ri etaꞌmanik pa ronojel kꞌolibꞌal.
15 For of Christ a sweet perfume we are to God in those being saved and in those perishing,
Rumal cher uj riꞌ ri uj kꞌokꞌ laj ruxlabꞌ ri Cristo ri uj kꞌo chikixoꞌl ri winaq ri kekolotajik xuqujeꞌ ri kasach kiwach.
16 to one indeed an odor (from *no) death to death, to one however a fragrance (from *no) life to life. And for these things who [is] sufficient?
Qas tzij uj ruxlabꞌ kamikal chike ri kekamik, xuqujeꞌ uj ruxlabꞌ kꞌaslemal chike ri kꞌo kikꞌaslemal ¿jachin qas kakwin chubꞌanik we jastaq riꞌ?
17 Not for we are like the (many *NK+O) peddling the word of God, but as of sincerity, but as of God, (before *N+kO) God in Christ we speak.
Ri uj man uj junam ta kukꞌ ri winaq ri kakikꞌayij ri utzij ri Dios. Xane kaqatzijoj utzij ri Dios qas rukꞌ ronojel qanimaꞌ xuqujeꞌ pa Dios xuqujeꞌ cho ri Dios rumal cher xa jun qaꞌnik rukꞌ ri Cristo.
