1 Kings 10
1 And [the] queen of Sheba [was] hearing [the] report of Solomon to [the] name of Yahweh and she came to put to [the] test him by difficult matters.
Då dronningi i Saba fekk høyra gjetordet um Salomo og det han hadde gjort for Herrens namn, kom ho og vilde røyna honom med djupe gåtor.
2 And she came Jerusalem towards with a retinue numerous very camels carrying spices and gold much very and stone[s] precious and she came to Solomon and she spoke to him all that it was with heart her.
Ho kom til Jerusalem med eit ovstort fylgje, med kamelar som var klyvja med kryddor og gull i store mengder og glimesteinar, og då ho var komi til Salomo, lagde ho fram for honom alt det ho hadde på hjarta.
3 And he told to her Solomon all words her not it was anything hidden from the king which not he told to her.
Men Salomo gav henne svar på alle spurningarne hennar. For honom var ingenting dult, som han ikkje kunde svara på.
4 And she saw [the] queen of Sheba all [the] wisdom of Solomon and the house which he had built.
Då dronningi frå Saba såg all Salomos visdom og såg huset han hadde bygt,
5 And [the] food of table his and [the] seating of servants his and [the] standing of (servants his *QK) and clothes their and cup-bearers his and burnt offering[s] his which he offered up [the] house of Yahweh and not it was in her still breath.
og retterne på bordet hans, og korleis hirdmennerne hans sat der, og korleis tenarane hans varta upp og var klædde, og skjenkjarsveinarne hans og den uppgangen som han hadde til Herrens hus, då vart ho reint ifrå seg.
6 And she said to the king truth it was the word which I heard in own land my on words your and on wisdom your.
Og ho sagde til kongen: «So var det då sant det ordet eg høyrde i landet mitt um deg og um visdomen din!
7 And not I believed the words until that I came and they saw eyes my and here! not it was told to me the half you have added wisdom and good to the report which I heard.
Eg kunde ikkje tru det dei sagde fyrr eg sjølv kom og fekk sjå det med mine eigne augo; ikkje helvti hev dei fortalt meg, det ser eg no; i visdom og vyrdnad gjeng du yver det gjetordet eg hev høyrt um deg.
8 How blessed! [are] people your how blessed! [are] servants your these who stand before you continually who hear wisdom your.
Sæle er mennerne dine, sæle er desse tenarane dine, som stødt fær standa framfyre deg og høyra visdomen din.
9 May he be Yahweh God your blessed who he delights in you to put you on [the] throne of Israel because loves Yahweh Israel for ever and he has appointed you to king to do justice and righteousness.
Lova vere Herren, din Gud, som hadde hugnad i deg og sette deg på Israels kongsstol! For di Herren elskar Israel alle dagar, sette han deg til konge, so du kann skipa rett og rettferd.»
10 And she gave to the king one hundred and twenty - talent[s] of gold and spices much very and stone[s] precious not it has come like the spice that again to abundance which she gave [the] queen of Sheba to the king Solomon.
So gav ho kongen tri hundrad våger gull og kryddor i store mengder og glimesteinar; so stor mengd av kryddor som den dronningi frå Saba gav kong Salomo, hev aldri vorte innførd sidan.
11 And also [the] ship[s] of Hiram which it carried gold from Ophir it brought from Ophir wood of almug much very and stone[s] precious.
Då skipi til Hiram henta gull frå Ofir, tok dei og med almuggim-tre i stor mengd og dyre steinar frå Ofir.
12 And he made the king [the] wood of the almug support[s] for [the] house of Yahweh and for [the] house of the king and harps and lyres for the singers not it has come thus wood of almug and not it has been seen until the day this.
Av almuggim-treet fekk kongen tillaga handrid til Herrens hus og til huset åt kongen, og like eins cithrar og harpor til songarane; so mykje almuggim-tre hev aldri vore innført eller set sidan til denne dag.
13 And the king Solomon he gave to [the] queen of Sheba all desire her which she asked besides [that] which he had given to her according to [the] hand of the king Solomon and she turned and she went to own land her she and servants her.
Og kong Salomo gav dronningi frå Saba alt det ho hadde hug på, og bad um, umfram det han gav henne i samhøve med Salomos kongelege vyrdnad. So snudde ho heim att til sitt land, ho sjølv og tenarane hennar.
14 And it was [the] weight of the gold which it came to Solomon in a year one six hundred sixty and six talent[s] of gold.
Det gullet som kom inn til Salomo på eit år, vog sekstan hundrad og seks og seksti våger,
15 Apart from [the] men of the merchants and [the] merchandise of the traders and all [the] kings of the Arab[s] and [the] governors of the land.
og då var ikkje medrekna det som kom inn frå kjøpmennerne og av kræmarhandelen og frå alle kongarne i Arabia og frå jarlarne i landet.
16 And he made the king Solomon two hundred body shield[s] gold beaten six hundred gold he put up on the body shield one.
Og kong Salomo let gjera tvo hundrad store skjoldar av uthamra gull - seks hundrad lodd gull gjekk med til kvar skjold -
17 And three hundred shields gold beaten three minas gold he put up on the shield one and he put them the king [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon.
og tri hundrad små skjoldar av uthamra gull - eit hundrad og åtteti lodd gull gjekk med til kvar skjold - og kongen sette deim upp i Libanonskoghuset.
18 And he made the king a throne of ivory great and he overlaid it gold refined.
Kongen let og gjera ein stor kongsstol av flisbein og klædde honom med skirt gull.
19 Six steps [belonged] to the throne and a top round [belonged] to the throne behind it and hands from this and from this [were] to [the] place of the sitting and two lions [were] standing beside the hands.
Kongsstolen hadde seks stig, og ryggstydi på kongsstolen var avrunda ovantil; på båe sidor av sætet var der armar, og attmed armarne stod tvo løvor;
20 And two plus ten lions [were] standing there on [the] six the steps from this and from this not it had been made thus for all kingdoms.
og tolv løvor stod det på dei seks stigi, på båe sidor. Maken til dette var ikkje laga i noko kongerike.
21 And all [the] vessels of [the] drink of the king Solomon [were] gold and all [the] utensils of [the] House of [the] Forest of Lebanon [were] gold pure gold there not [was] silver not [it was] reckoned in [the] days of Solomon to anything.
Alle drykkjestaupi åt kong Salomo var av gull, og alle gognerne i Libanonskoghuset var og av skirt gull; sylv fanst det ikkje; det var ikkje rekna for noko i Salomos dagar.
22 For [the] ship[s] of Tarshish [belonged] to the king on the sea with [the] ship[s] of Hiram one [time] to three years it came - [the] ship[s] of Tarshish carrying gold and silver ivori and monkeys and apes.
For kongen hadde sine Tarsis-skip på havet attåt floten til Hiram. Ein gong tridje kvart år kom Tarsis-skipi heim og hadde med seg gull og sylv, og filsbein og apor og påfuglar.
23 And he became great the king Solomon more than all [the] kings of the earth to wealth and to wisdom.
Kong Salomo vart større enn alle kongar på jordi i rikdom og visdom.
24 And all the earth [were] seeking [the] face of Solomon to hear wisdom his which he had put God in heart his.
Folk frå alle land vitja Salomo og vilde høyra visdomen hans, som Gud hadde lagt i hjarta hans.
25 And they [were] bringing each gift his articles of silver and articles of gold and garments and weaponry and spices horses and mules [the] matter of a year in a year.
Og då hadde kvar og ein av desse med seg gåvor: ymse ting av sylv og gull, klæde og våpn, kryddor, hestar og muldyr. Soleis gjekk det år etter år.
26 And he gathered Solomon chariotry and horsemen and it belonged to him one thousand and four hundred chariot[s] and two plus ten thousand horsemen and he led them in [the] cities of chariotry and with the king in Jerusalem.
Salomo samla stridsvogner og hestfolk, so han hadde fjortan hundrad stridsvogner og tolv tusund hestfolk; og deim gav han læger i vognbyarne og i Jerusalem hjå kongen sjølv.
27 And he made the king silver in Jerusalem like stone and cedars he made like the sycamores which [are] in the Shephelah for abundance.
Og kongen gjorde sylvet i Jerusalem so vanleg som stein og cedertre som morberfiketre i låglandet.
28 And [the] export of the horses which [belonged] to Solomon [was] from Egypt and from Que [the] traders of the king they took [them] from Que for a price.
Og hestarne som Salomo fekk seg, førde han inn frå Egyptarland; ein flokk kjøpmenner hjå kongen henta ei viss mengd til ein fastsett pris.
29 And it came up and it came out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred silver and a horse for fifty and one hundred and thus to all [the] kings of the Hittites and to [the] kings of Aram by hand their they brought [them] out.
Kvar vogn som vart henta upp og utførd frå Egyptarland, kosta seks hundrad lodd sylv, og kvar hest eit hundrad og femti. På same vis vart dei, med deira hjelp, utførde til alle kongarne hjå hetitarne og i Syria.
