< 1 John 4 >

1 Beloved, not every spirit do believe but do test the spirits whether of God they are, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Me nuanom adɔfo, munnnye honhom no nyinaa nni. Mmom monsɔ honhom no nhwɛ sɛ efi Onyankopɔn ana. Efisɛ atoro adiyifo bebree ahwete wɔ wiase.
2 By this (you know *NK+O) the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ in [the] flesh having come of God is.
Ɔkwan a wubetumi afa so ahu sɛ obi wɔ Onyankopɔn Honhom no ne sɛ, ɔbɛpae mu aka se, nokwarem Yesu Kristo baa onipa tebea mu.
3 and any spirit that not confesses Jesus (Christ in flesh having come *K) from God not is; And this is that of the antichrist which you have heard that is coming and now in the world is already.
Na nea ɔnka saa mfa Yesu ho no nni honhom a efi Onyankopɔn. Saa honhom no yɛ Kristo tamfo. Motee sɛ saa na ɛbɛba, nanso ɛwɔ wiase ha dedaw.
4 you yourselves from God are, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is the [One] in you than the [one] in the world.
Me mma, mufi Onyankopɔn mu na moadi atoro adiyifo no so, efisɛ Honhom a ɛwɔ mo mu no wɔ tumi sen honhom a ɛwɔ wiase yi mu.
5 They themselves of the world are; because of this from out of the world they speak and the world to them listens.
Wɔka nsɛm a ɛfa wiase ho ma wiase tie, efisɛ wɔyɛ wiasefo.
6 We ourselves of God are; The [one] knowing God listens to us; He who not is from God not listens to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Nanso yɛn de, yɛyɛ Onyankopɔn nkurɔfo. Obiara a onim Onyankopɔn no tie yɛn. Na obiara a ɔnyɛ Onyankopɔn nipa no ntie yɛn. Eyi nko ara ne ɔkwan a yɛnam so de hu nokware Honhom ne atoro honhom mu.
7 Beloved, we may love one another, because love from God is and everyone who is loving from God has been born and knows God;
Anuanom, momma yɛnnodɔ yɛn ho yɛn ho efisɛ ɔdɔ fi Onyankopɔn. Obi a ɔwɔ ɔdɔ no yɛ Onyankopɔn ba na onim Onyankopɔn nso.
8 The [one] not loving not has known God, because God love is.
Obi a onni ɔdɔ no nnim Onyankopɔn efisɛ Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔdɔ.
9 In this has been revealed the love of God among us, that the Son of Him the one and only has sent God into the world so that we may live through Him.
Ɔkwan a Onyankopɔn nam so da ne dɔ adi kyerɛ yɛn ne sɛ, ɔsomaa ne Ba koro no baa wiase sɛnea yɛbɛfa ne so anya nkwa.
10 In this is love, not that we ourselves (have loved *N+kO) God, but that He himself loved us and He sent the Son of Him [as] a propitiation for the sins of us.
Eyi ne ɔdɔ. Ɛnkyerɛ sɛ yɛdɔ Onyankopɔn, na mmom, ɔno na ɔdɔ yɛn nti ɔsomaa ne Ba sɛ yɛmfa ne so nya yɛn bɔne ho mpata.
11 Beloved, if so God loved us, also we ourselves ought one another to love;
Anuanom adɔfo, sɛ saa na Onyankopɔn dɔ yɛn a, na ɛkyerɛ sɛ, ɛsɛ sɛ yɛdodɔ yɛn ho yɛn ho.
12 God no [one] at any time has seen; if we shall love one another, God in us abides and the love of Him in us perfected is.
Obiara nhuu Onyankopɔn da. Sɛ yɛdodɔ yɛn ho yɛn ho a, na Onyankopɔn te yɛn mu na ne dɔ no awie pɛyɛ wɔ yɛn mu.
13 By this we know that in Him we abide and He in us, because from out the Spirit of Him He has given to us.
Eyi na ɛma yehu pefee sɛ yɛte Onyankopɔn mu na ɔno nso te yɛn mu. Wama yɛn ne Honhom.
14 And we ourselves have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son [as] Savior of the world.
Na yɛahu, na yɛaka akyerɛ afoforo se Agya no somaa ne Ba ma ɔbɛyɛɛ wiase Agyenkwa.
15 Who[ever] (maybe *N+kO) shall confess that Jesus (Christ *O) is the Son of God, God in him abides and he in God.
Obiara a ɔpae mu ka se Yesu yɛ Onyankopɔn Ba no, na Onyankopɔn te ne mu na ɔno nso te Onyankopɔn mu.
16 And we ourselves have come to know and we have come to believe the love that has God as to us. God love is, and the [one] abiding in love in God abides, and God in him (abides. *NO)
Na yɛn ankasa nim, na yegye Onyankopɔn dɔ a ɔde dɔ yɛn no di. Onyankopɔn yɛ ɔdɔ na obiara a ɔte ɔdɔ mu no te Onyankopɔn mu, na Onyankopɔn nso te ne mu.
17 In this has been perfected love with us, so that confidence we may have in the day of judgment, that even as He is also we ourselves are in world this.
Ɛsɛ sɛ ɔdɔ yɛ pɛ wɔ yɛn mu, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a yebenya akokoduru wɔ atemmu da no. Na yebenya saa akokoduru no nso, efisɛ yɛn abrabɔ wɔ wiase ha no te sɛ Kristo de ara pɛ.
18 Fear no there is in love, but perfect love out casts fear, because the fear punishment has; the [one] now fearing not has been perfected in love.
Ehu nni ɔdɔ mu. Ɔdɔ ankasa pam hu nyinaa. Ehu ne asotwe na ɛnam. Enti nea ɔyɛ ohufo no nwie pɛyɛ wɔ ɔdɔ mu.
19 We ourselves love (him *K) because He himself first loved us.
Yɛwɔ ɔdɔ, efisɛ Onyankopɔn na ɔdɔɔ yɛn kan.
20 If anyone shall say that I love God and the brother of him may hate, a liar he is; The [one] for not loving the brother of him whom he has seen, God whom not he has seen (not *N+KO) is he able to love;
Sɛ obi ka se, “Medɔ Onyankopɔn” na ɔtan ne nua a, ɔyɛ ɔtorofo. Na nea ɔnnɔ ne nua a ohu no no, ɛbɛyɛ dɛn na obetumi adɔ Onyankopɔn a onhu no.
21 And this the commandment we have from Him, that the [one] loving God may love also the brother of him.
Eyi ne mmara a Kristo hyɛ maa yɛn. Nea ɔdɔ Onyankopɔn no, ɛsɛ sɛ ɔdɔ ne nua nso.
