1 John 4
1 Beloved, not every spirit do believe but do test the spirits whether of God they are, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
Rakkaani, älkää jokaista henkeä uskoko, vaan koetelkaa henget, ovatko ne Jumalasta; sillä monta väärää profeettaa on lähtenyt maailmaan.
2 By this (you know *NK+O) the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses Jesus Christ in [the] flesh having come of God is.
Tästä te tunnette Jumalan Hengen: jokainen henki, joka tunnustaa Jeesuksen Kristukseksi, lihaan tulleeksi, on Jumalasta;
3 and any spirit that not confesses Jesus (Christ in flesh having come *K) from God not is; And this is that of the antichrist which you have heard that is coming and now in the world is already.
ja yksikään henki, joka ei tunnusta Jeesusta, ei ole Jumalasta; se on antikristuksen henki, jonka olette kuulleet olevan tulossa, ja se on jo nyt maailmassa.
4 you yourselves from God are, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is the [One] in you than the [one] in the world.
Lapsukaiset, te olette Jumalasta ja olette voittaneet heidät; sillä hän, joka teissä on, on suurempi kuin se, joka on maailmassa.
5 They themselves of the world are; because of this from out of the world they speak and the world to them listens.
He ovat maailmasta; sentähden he puhuvat, niinkuin maailma puhuu, ja maailma kuulee heitä.
6 We ourselves of God are; The [one] knowing God listens to us; He who not is from God not listens to us. By this we know the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
Me olemme Jumalasta. Joka tuntee Jumalan, se kuulee meitä; joka ei ole Jumalasta, se ei kuule meitä. Siitä me tunnemme totuuden hengen ja eksytyksen hengen.
7 Beloved, we may love one another, because love from God is and everyone who is loving from God has been born and knows God;
Rakkaani, rakastakaamme toinen toistamme, sillä rakkaus on Jumalasta; ja jokainen, joka rakastaa, on Jumalasta syntynyt ja tuntee Jumalan.
8 The [one] not loving not has known God, because God love is.
Joka ei rakasta, se ei tunne Jumalaa, sillä Jumala on rakkaus.
9 In this has been revealed the love of God among us, that the Son of Him the one and only has sent God into the world so that we may live through Him.
Siinä ilmestyi meille Jumalan rakkaus, että Jumala lähetti ainokaisen Poikansa maailmaan, että me eläisimme hänen kauttansa.
10 In this is love, not that we ourselves (have loved *N+kO) God, but that He himself loved us and He sent the Son of Him [as] a propitiation for the sins of us.
Siinä on rakkaus-ei siinä, että me rakastimme Jumalaa, vaan siinä, että hän rakasti meitä ja lähetti Poikansa meidän syntiemme sovitukseksi.
11 Beloved, if so God loved us, also we ourselves ought one another to love;
Rakkaani, jos Jumala on näin meitä rakastanut, niin mekin olemme velvolliset rakastamaan toinen toistamme.
12 God no [one] at any time has seen; if we shall love one another, God in us abides and the love of Him in us perfected is.
Jumalaa ei kukaan ole koskaan nähnyt. Jos me rakastamme toinen toistamme, niin Jumala pysyy meissä, ja hänen rakkautensa on tullut täydelliseksi meissä.
13 By this we know that in Him we abide and He in us, because from out the Spirit of Him He has given to us.
Siitä me tiedämme pysyvämme hänessä ja hänen pysyvän meissä, että hän on antanut meille Henkeänsä.
14 And we ourselves have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son [as] Savior of the world.
Ja me olemme nähneet ja todistamme, että Isä on lähettänyt Poikansa maailman Vapahtajaksi.
15 Who[ever] (maybe *N+kO) shall confess that Jesus (Christ *O) is the Son of God, God in him abides and he in God.
Joka tunnustaa, että Jeesus on Jumalan Poika, hänessä Jumala pysyy, ja hän Jumalassa.
16 And we ourselves have come to know and we have come to believe the love that has God as to us. God love is, and the [one] abiding in love in God abides, and God in him (abides. *NO)
Ja me olemme oppineet tuntemaan ja me uskomme sen rakkauden, mikä Jumalalla on meihin. Jumala on rakkaus, ja joka pysyy rakkaudessa, se pysyy Jumalassa, ja Jumala pysyy hänessä.
17 In this has been perfected love with us, so that confidence we may have in the day of judgment, that even as He is also we ourselves are in world this.
Näin on rakkaus tullut täydelliseksi meissä, että meillä olisi turva tuomiopäivänä; sillä sellainen kuin hän on, sellaisia mekin olemme tässä maailmassa.
18 Fear no there is in love, but perfect love out casts fear, because the fear punishment has; the [one] now fearing not has been perfected in love.
Pelkoa ei rakkaudessa ole, vaan täydellinen rakkaus karkoittaa pelon, sillä pelossa on rangaistusta; ja joka pelkää, se ei ole päässyt täydelliseksi rakkaudessa.
19 We ourselves love (him *K) because He himself first loved us.
Me rakastamme, sillä hän on ensin rakastanut meitä.
20 If anyone shall say that I love God and the brother of him may hate, a liar he is; The [one] for not loving the brother of him whom he has seen, God whom not he has seen (not *N+KO) is he able to love;
Jos joku sanoo: "Minä rakastan Jumalaa", mutta vihaa veljeänsä, niin hän on valhettelija. Sillä joka ei rakasta veljeänsä, jonka hän on nähnyt, se ei voi rakastaa Jumalaa, jota hän ei ole nähnyt.
21 And this the commandment we have from Him, that the [one] loving God may love also the brother of him.
Ja tämä käsky meillä on häneltä, että joka rakastaa Jumalaa, se rakastakoon myös veljeänsä.
