< 1 Corinthians 3 >

1 And I myself And I myself brothers not was able to speak to you as to spiritual but as (to fleshly, *N+kO) as to infants in Christ.
hē bhrātaraḥ, ahamātmikairiva yuṣmābhiḥ samaṁ sambhāṣituṁ nāśaknavaṁ kintu śārīrikācāribhiḥ khrīṣṭadharmmē śiśutulyaiśca janairiva yuṣmābhiḥ saha samabhāṣē|
2 Milk you I gave to drink, (and *k) not solid food; not yet for were you able, In fact (not *N+kO) still now are you able;
yuṣmān kaṭhinabhakṣyaṁ na bhōjayan dugdham apāyayaṁ yatō yūyaṁ bhakṣyaṁ grahītuṁ tadā nāśaknuta idānīmapi na śaknutha, yatō hētōradhunāpi śārīrikācāriṇa ādhvē|
3 still for fleshly you are. Where for [are] among you jealousy and strife (and dissensions *K) surely fleshly are you and according to man are walking?
yuṣmanmadhyē mātsaryyavivādabhēdā bhavanti tataḥ kiṁ śārīrikācāriṇō nādhvē mānuṣikamārgēṇa ca na caratha?
4 When for may say one; I myself indeed am of Paul, another however I myself of Apollos, (surely *N+kO) (human *N+KO) are you?
paulasyāhamityāpallōrahamiti vā yadvākyaṁ yuṣmākaṁ kaiścit kaiścit kathyatē tasmād yūyaṁ śārīrikācāriṇa na bhavatha?
5 (who *N+kO) then is Apollos (who *N+kO) now (is *no) Paul (other than *K) Servants through whom you believed, also to each as the Lord has given.
paulaḥ kaḥ? āpallō rvā kaḥ? tau paricārakamātrau tayōrēkaikasmai ca prabhu ryādr̥k phalamadadāt tadvat tayōrdvārā yūyaṁ viśvāsinō jātāḥ|
6 I myself planted, Apollos watered, but God was [it] growing;
ahaṁ rōpitavān āpallōśca niṣiktavān īśvaraścāvarddhayat|
7 So neither the [one] planting is anything nor the [one] watering, but [only] the [One] giving growth — God;
atō rōpayitr̥sēktārāvasārau varddhayitēśvara ēva sāraḥ|
8 The [one] planting now also the [one] watering one are, each now [his] own reward will receive according to [his] own labor.
rōpayitr̥sēktārau ca samau tayōrēkaikaśca svaśramayōgyaṁ svavētanaṁ lapsyatē|
9 Of God for we are fellow workers; God’s field, God’s building you are.
āvāmīśvarēṇa saha karmmakāriṇau, īśvarasya yat kṣētram īśvarasya yā nirmmitiḥ sā yūyamēva|
10 According to the grace of God which having been given to me as a wise master builder [the] foundation (I laid, *N+kO) another however is building upon [it]. Each one however should take heed how he builds upon [it].
īśvarasya prasādāt mayā yat padaṁ labdhaṁ tasmāt jñāninā gr̥hakāriṇēva mayā bhittimūlaṁ sthāpitaṁ tadupari cānyēna nicīyatē| kintu yēna yannicīyatē tat tēna vivicyatāṁ|
11 Foundation for another no [one] is able to lay besides the [one] being already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
yatō yīśukhrīṣṭarūpaṁ yad bhittimūlaṁ sthāpitaṁ tadanyat kimapi bhittimūlaṁ sthāpayituṁ kēnāpi na śakyatē|
12 If now anyone builds upon foundation (this *k) (gold, silver, *NK+o) stones precious, wood, hay, straw,
ētadbhittimūlasyōpari yadi kēcit svarṇarūpyamaṇikāṣṭhatr̥ṇanalān nicinvanti,
13 of each the work manifest will become; the for day will disclose [it], because in fire it is revealed, and of each the work what sort it is the fire (itself *no) will prove.
tarhyēkaikasya karmma prakāśiṣyatē yataḥ sa divasastat prakāśayiṣyati| yatō hatōstana divasēna vahnimayēnōdētavyaṁ tata ēkaikasya karmma kīdr̥śamētasya parīkṣā bahninā bhaviṣyati|
14 If of anyone the work will remain which he built up, a reward he will receive;
yasya nicayanarūpaṁ karmma sthāsnu bhaviṣyati sa vētanaṁ lapsyatē|
15 If of anyone the work will be burned up, he will suffer loss, he himself however will be saved so however as through fire.
yasya ca karmma dhakṣyatē tasya kṣati rbhaviṣyati kintu vahnē rnirgatajana iva sa svayaṁ paritrāṇaṁ prāpsyati|
16 Surely you know that temple of God you yourselves are, and the Spirit of God dwells in you
yūyam īśvarasya mandiraṁ yuṣmanmadhyē cēśvarasyātmā nivasatīti kiṁ na jānītha?
17 If anyone the temple of God destroys, will destroy him God; for the temple of God holy is, which are you yourselves.
īśvarasya mandiraṁ yēna vināśyatē sō'pīśvarēṇa vināśayiṣyatē yata īśvarasya mandiraṁ pavitramēva yūyaṁ tu tanmandiram ādhvē|
18 No one himself should deceive; if anyone thinks [himself] wise to be among you in age this, foolish he should become so that he may become wise. (aiōn g165)
kōpi svaṁ na vañcayatāṁ| yuṣmākaṁ kaścana cēdihalōkasya jñānēna jñānavānahamiti budhyatē tarhi sa yat jñānī bhavēt tadarthaṁ mūḍhō bhavatu| (aiōn g165)
19 The for wisdom of the world this foolishness with God is. It has been written for: [He is] the [One] catching the wise in the craftiness of them;
yasmādihalōkasya jñānam īśvarasya sākṣāt mūḍhatvamēva| ētasmin likhitamapyāstē, tīkṣṇā yā jñānināṁ buddhistayā tān dharatīśvaraḥ|
20 And again; [The] Lord knows the thoughts of the wise that they are futile.
punaśca| jñānināṁ kalpanā vētti paramēśō nirarthakāḥ|
21 Therefore no one should boast in men; All things for of you are,
ataēva kō'pi manujairātmānaṁ na ślāghatāṁ yataḥ sarvvāṇi yuṣmākamēva,
22 whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or [the] world or life or death or things being present or things to come — all yours (is — *k)
paula vā āpallō rvā kaiphā vā jagad vā jīvanaṁ vā maraṇaṁ vā varttamānaṁ vā bhaviṣyadvā sarvvāṇyēva yuṣmākaṁ,
23 you now of Christ, Christ now of God.
yūyañca khrīṣṭasya, khrīṣṭaścēśvarasya|
