Revelation 8

1 And, as soon as he opened the seventh seal, there came to be silence in heaven, as it were half an hour.

Y cuando él séptimo sello se abrió, hubo quietud en el cielo por alrededor de media hora.

2 And I saw the seven messengers which, before God, do stand; and there were given unto them seven trumpets.

Y vi a los siete ángeles que estaban de pie delante de Dios; y se les dieron siete trompetas.

3 And, another messenger, came, and took his stand at the altar, having a censer of gold: and there was given unto him much incense, that he might give [it] unto the prayers of all the saints, upon the altar of gold that is before the throne.

Y vino otro ángel y se puso de pie junto al altar, teniendo un recipiente de oro para quemar perfume; y se le dio mucho incienso, para añadirlo con las oraciones de todos los santos en el altar de oro que estaba delante del trono.

4 And the smoke of the incense went up, with the prayers of the saints, out of the hand of the messenger before God.

Y el humo del incienso, con las oraciones de los santos, subió delante de Dios de la mano del ángel.

5 And the messenger at once took the censer, and filled it from the fire of the altar, and cast unto the earth; and there came to be thunderings, and voices, and lightnings, and an earthquake.

Y el ángel tomó el incensario; y lo llenó del fuego del altar, y lo envió sobre la tierra; y vinieron truenos, y voces, y relámpagos, y temblores de la tierra.

6 And, the seven messengers who had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves, that they might sound.

Y los siete ángeles que tenían las siete trompetas se dispusieron a tocarlas.

7 And, the first, sounded; and there came to be hail and fire mingled with blood, and it was cast unto the earth; and, the third of the earth, was burned up, and, the third of the trees, was burned up, and, all green herbage, was burned up.

Y al sonido del primero, hubo granizo y fuego, mezclada con sangre, fue enviada sobre la tierra; y una tercera de la tierra y tercera parte de los árboles, y toda la hierba verde, se quemó.

8 And, the second messenger, sounded; and, as it were a great mountain burning with fire, was cast into the sea; and the third of the sea became blood,

Y al sonido del segundo ángel, fue como si una gran montaña ardiendo en fuego fuera enviada al mar; y la tercera parte del mar se convirtiera en sangre,

9 and the third of the creatures which were in the sea, which had life, died, the third of the ships, was destroyed.

Y murió la tercera parte de los seres vivientes que estaban en el mar, y una tercera parte de los barcos fue destruida.

10 And, the third messenger, sounded; and there fell, out of heaven, a great star, burning as a torch, and it fell upon the third of the rivers, and upon the fountains of waters.

Y al sonido del tercer ángel, descendió del cielo una gran estrella, ardiente como una llama, y vino sobre la tercera parte de los ríos, y sobre las fuentes de agua.

11 And, the name of the star, is called Wormwood; and the third of the waters became wormwood, and many of the men died of the waters, because they were made bitter.

Y el nombre de la estrella es Ajenjo: y la tercera parte de las aguas se volvió amarga; y un número de hombres llegó a su fin a causa de las aguas, porque se hicieron amargas.

12 And, the fourth messenger, sounded; and the third of the sun was smitten, and the third of the moon, and the third of the stars, —in order that the third of them might be darkened, and the day might not shine for the third of it, and the night, in like manner.

Y al sonido del cuarto ángel, una tercera parte del sol, y de la luna, y de las estrellas se oscureció, de modo que no hubo luz para la tercera parte del día y de la noche.

13 And I saw, and I heard one eagle, flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice—Woe! woe! woe! unto them that are dwelling upon the earth, by reason of the remaining voices of the trumpet, of the three messengers who are about to sound.

Y vino a mis oídos el grito de un ángel en vuelo en el medio del cielo, que decía con gran voz: Ay!, Ay!, Ay!, de los que moran en la tierra, a causa de los otros toques de trompeta que están por sonar los tres ángeles.
