Revelation 12
1 And, a great sign, appeared in heaven: a woman arrayed with the sun, and, the moon, beneath her feet, and, upon her head, a crown of twelve stars;
E um grande sinal foi visto no céu: uma mulher vestida do sol, e a lua debaixo dos pés dela, e sobre sua cabeça uma coroa de doze estrelas;
2 and she was with child, and crieth out, being in pangs and in anguish to bring forth?
E ela estava grávida, gritando, tendo dores de parto, e sendo atormentada pelo trabalho de parto.
3 And there appeared another sign in heaven; and lo! a great red dragon, —having seven heads and ten horns, and, upon his heads, seven diadems;
E foi visto outro sinal no céu; e eis que [era] um grande dragão vermelho, que tinha sete cabeças e dez chifres, e sobre suas cabeças sete coroas.
4 and, his tail, draweth the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth. And, the dragon, stood before the woman who was about to bring forth, that, as soon as she should bring forth, he might devour, her child.
E sua cauda levava [após si] a terça [parte] das estrelas do céu, e as lançou sobre a terra; e o dragão ficou parado diante da mulher, que estava a ponto de gerar [filho]; para que, quando ela desse à luz, [o dragão] devorasse o filho dela.
5 And she brought forth a son, a manchild, who was about to shepherd all the nations with a sceptre of iron; and her child was caught away unto God and unto his throne.
E ela gerou um filho macho, que com vara de ferro ia dominar todas as nações; e o filho dela foi arrebatado para Deus e para o seu trono.
6 And, the woman, fled into the desert, where she hath a place prepared of God, that, there, they should nourish her a thousand, two hundred, and sixty days.
E a mulher fugiu para o deserto, onde ela tinha lugar preparado por Deus, para que ali a alimentassem por mil duzentos e sessenta dias.
7 And there came to be war in heaven: Michael and his messengers [going forth] to war with the dragon; and, the dragon, fought, and his messengers;
E houve batalha no céu: Miguel e seus anjos batalhavam contra o dragão; e batalhava [também contra eles] o dragão e seus anjos.
8 and he prevailed not, neither was place found for them, any longer, in heaven.
Mas eles não prevaleceram, nem mais o lugar deles foi achado nos céus.
9 And the great dragon was cast out, —the ancient serpent, he that is called Adversary and the Satan, that deceiveth the whole habitable world, —he was cast to the earth, and his messengers, with him, were cast.
E foi lançado o grande dragão, a serpente antiga, chamada o diabo e Satanás, que engana a todo o mundo; ele foi lançado na terra, e seus anjos foram lançados com ele.
10 And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying—Now, hath come the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ; because the accuser of our brethren hath been cast out, who was accusing them before our God day and night;
E eu ouvi uma grande voz no céu, dizendo: “Agora veio a salvação, e a força, e o reino de nosso Deus, e o poder de seu Cristo; porque [já] foi lançado abaixo o acusador dos nossos irmãos, o qual os acusava diante de nosso Deus dia e noite.
11 And, they, overcame him by reason of the blood of the Lamb, and by reason of their witnessing word, and they loved not their life, even unto death.
E eles o venceram pelo sangue do Cordeiro, e pela palavra do testemunho deles; e eles não amaram suas vidas até a morte.
12 For this cause, be joyful, O heavens, and ye who, therein, are tabernacling. Woe! unto the earth, and the sea, because the Adversary hath come down unto you, having great wrath—knowing that, but a little season, he hath.
Por isso alegrai-vos, ó céus, e os que nele habitais! Ai dos que habitam na terra, e no mar! Porque o diabo desceu até vos, tendo grande ira, sabendo que ele tem pouco tempo.”
13 And, when the dragon saw that he was cast to the earth, he pursued the woman who had brought forth the manchild.
E quando o dragão viu que havia sido lançado na terra, ele perseguiu a mulher que tinha dado à luz o menino.
14 And there were given unto the woman the two wings of the great eagle, that she might fly into the desert, into her place, —where she is nourished, a season and seasons and half a season, from the face of the serpent.
E foram dadas à mulher duas asas de grande água, para que voasse ao deserto, ao lugar dela, onde ali é alimentada por um tempo, e tempos, e a metade de um tempo, [longe] da face da serpente.
15 And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
E a serpente lançou de sua boca água como [de] um rio, atrás da mulher, para fazer [com que] esta [mulher] seja levada pela correnteza.
16 And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the river which the dragon cast out of his mouth.
E a terra ajudou a mulher, e a terra abriu a sua boca, e engoliu o rio que o dragão havia lançado de sua boca.
17 And the dragon was angered against the woman, and went away to make war with the rest of her seed—with them who were keeping the commandments of God, and holding the witness of Jesus; —and he stood upon the sand of the sea.
E o dragão se irou contra a mulher, e saiu para fazer guerra contra os restantes da descendência dela, os que guardam os mandamentos de Deus e têm o testemunho de Jesus Cristo.
