Psalms 43

1 Vindicate me, O God, and plead my cause, Against a nation, without lovingkindness, From the man of deceit and perversity, wilt thou deliver me?

Berilah keadilan kepadaku, ya Allah, dan perjuangkanlah perkaraku terhadap kaum yang tidak saleh! Luputkanlah aku dari orang penipu dan orang curang!

2 For, thou, art my defending God—Wherefore hast thou rejected me? Wherefore in gloom should I wander, because of the oppression of an enemy?

Sebab Engkaulah Allah tempat pengungsianku. Mengapa Engkau membuang aku? Mengapa aku harus hidup berkabung di bawah impitan musuh?

3 Send forth thy light and thy faithfulness, Let, them, lead me, Let them bring me into thy holy mountain, and into thy habitations:

Suruhlah terang-Mu dan kesetiaan-Mu datang, supaya aku dituntun dan dibawa ke gunung-Mu yang kudus dan ke tempat kediaman-Mu!

4 That I may go in unto the altar of God, Unto GOD, mine exultant joy, —That I may praise thee with the lyre, O God—mine own God!

Maka aku dapat pergi ke mezbah Allah, menghadap Allah, yang adalah sukacitaku dan kegembiraanku, dan bersyukur kepada-Mu dengan kecapi, ya Allah, ya Allahku!

5 Why shouldst thou be cast down, O my soul? And why shouldst thou moan over me, Wait thou for God, for yet shall I praise him, As the triumph of my presence, and my God.

Mengapa engkau tertekan, hai jiwaku, dan mengapa engkau gelisah di dalam diriku? Berharaplah kepada Allah! Sebab aku bersyukur lagi kepada-Nya, penolongku dan Allahku!
