Psalms 38

1 A Melody of David. To bring to Remembrance. O Yahweh, do not, in thine anger, correct me, nor, in thy wrath, chastise me;

ദാവീദിന്റെ ഒരു നിവേദനസങ്കീർത്തനം. യഹോവേ അങ്ങയുടെ കോപത്താൽ എന്നെ ശാസിക്കുകയോ അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധത്താൽ എന്നെ ശിക്ഷിക്കുകയോ അരുതേ.

2 For, thine arrows, have sunk down into me, and thy hand, presseth heavily upon me.

അവിടത്തെ അസ്ത്രങ്ങളെന്നെ കുത്തിത്തുളച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു, തിരുക്കരം എന്റെമേൽ പതിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 There is no soundness in my flesh, By reason of thine indignation, There is no peace in my bones, By reason of my sin;

അവിടത്തെ ക്രോധത്താൽ എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ ആരോഗ്യം അവശേഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ല; എന്റെ പാപംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ അസ്ഥികളുടെ ബലം നശിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു.

4 For, mine iniquities, have passed over my head, Like a heavy burden, they are too heavy for me:

എന്റെ പാതകം എന്നെ കീഴടക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നു ദുസ്സഹമാം ഭാരംപോലെ അതെന്നെ ഞെരുക്കുന്നു.

5 My wounds are of bad odour—they have festered, by reason of my folly:

എന്റെ പാപപങ്കിലമാം ഭോഷത്തങ്ങളാൽ എന്റെ മുറിവുകൾ അറപ്പുളവാക്കുന്ന വ്രണങ്ങളായി മാറിയിരിക്കുന്നു.

6 I am bent, I am bowed down very low. All the day, have I gloomily walked;

ഞാൻ കുനിഞ്ഞു നിലംപറ്റിയിരിക്കുന്നു; ദിവസംമുഴുവനും വിലാപത്താൽ ഞാനുഴലുന്നു.

7 For, my loins, are filled with inflammation, and there is no soundness in my flesh:

എന്റെ അരക്കെട്ട് ദുസ്സഹവേദനയാൽ നിറഞ്ഞുകത്തുന്നു; എന്റെ ശരീരത്തിനു യാതൊരു സൗഖ്യവുമില്ല.

8 I am benumbed and crushed exceedingly, —I have cried aloud because of the groaning of my heart.

ഞാൻ ബലം ക്ഷയിച്ചു പൂർണമായും തകർന്നിരിക്കുന്നു; ഹൃദയവ്യഥകൊണ്ട് ഞാൻ ഉച്ചത്തിൽ ഞരങ്ങുന്നു.

9 O My Lord! before thee, is all my longing, and, my sighing, from thee, hath not been hid:

കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സകല അഭിലാഷങ്ങളും അവിടത്തെ മുമ്പാകെ അനാവരണം ചെയ്യപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ നെടുവീർപ്പ് തിരുമുമ്പിൽ മറഞ്ഞിരിക്കുന്നതുമില്ല.

10 My heart, fluttereth, my strength hath forsaken me, and, as for the light of mine eyes, even they, are not with me:

എന്റെ ഹൃദയം നിയന്ത്രണമില്ലാതെ തുടിക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ ശക്തി ചോർന്നൊലിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ കണ്ണിന്റെ കാഴ്ചയും നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.

11 My lovers, and my friends, from before my stroke, stand aloof, —and, my near ones, far away, do stand:

എന്റെ വ്രണംനിമിത്തം എന്റെ സ്നേഹിതരും ചങ്ങാതികളും എന്നെ തിരസ്കരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ അയൽവാസികൾ എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകലം പാലിക്കുന്നു.

12 Yea they who are seeking my life, have laid snares, and they who are asking my harm, have threatened engulfing ruin, And, deceitful things—all day long, do they mutter.

എനിക്കു ജീവഹാനി വരുത്താൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ എനിക്കെതിരേ കെണിവെക്കുന്നു, എന്നെ ഉപദ്രവിക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ എന്റെ നാശത്തെപ്പറ്റി ചർച്ചചെയ്യുന്നു; ദിവസംമുഴുവനും അവർ കുതന്ത്രങ്ങൾ മെനയുന്നു.

13 But, I, as one deaf, will not hear, —and as one dumb, who will not open his mouth:

ഒന്നും കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ബധിരനെപ്പോലെ ഞാൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു, സംസാരിക്കാനാകാത്ത മൂകനെപ്പോലെയും

14 Thus have I become as a man who cannot hear, in whose mouth are no arguments:

അധരങ്ങളിൽ മറുപടിയൊന്നും അവശേഷിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്ത ഒരുവനെപ്പോലെയും കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിയാത്ത ബധിരനെപ്പോലെയും ഞാൻ ആയിരിക്കുന്നു

15 Because, for thee, O Yahweh, have I waited, Thou, wilt answer, O Adonay, my God!

യഹോവേ, ഞാൻ അങ്ങേക്കായി കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൈവമായ കർത്താവേ, അവിടന്നെനിക്ക് ഉത്തരമരുളണമേ.

16 For I said, Lest they rejoice over me! When my feet were tottering, against me, have they magnified themselves:

“എന്റെ കാൽവഴുതുമ്പോൾ അഹങ്കരിക്കുന്നവരോ ആഹ്ലാദത്തിൽ തിമിർക്കുന്നവരോ ആയിത്തീരാതിരിക്കട്ടെ,” എന്നു ഞാൻ പറഞ്ഞു.

17 For, I, to halt, am ready, and, my pain, is before me continually;

കാരണം ഞാൻ വീഴാറായിരിക്കുന്നു, എന്റെ വേദന എപ്പോഴും എന്റെ കൂടെയുണ്ട്.

18 For, mine iniquity, will I declare, I shall be anxious because of my sin;

എന്റെ അകൃത്യങ്ങൾ ഞാൻ ഏറ്റുപറയുന്നു; എന്റെ പാപത്തെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ വ്യാകുലപ്പെടുന്നു.

19 And, my foes, are alive—have become strong, —and multiplied are they who hate me for false cause:

എനിക്ക് പ്രബലരായ അനവധി ശത്രുക്കളുണ്ട്; അകാരണമായി എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരും അസംഖ്യം.

20 Even they who are repaying evil for good, accuse me because I pursue the good.

ഞാൻ ചെയ്യുന്ന നന്മകൾക്കുപകരം അവരെന്നോട് തിന്മചെയ്യുന്നു ഞാൻ നന്മമാത്രം അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നതിനാൽ, അവർ എനിക്കു വിരോധികളായിരിക്കുന്നു.

21 Do not forsake me, O Yahweh, My God! be not far from me:

യഹോവേ, എന്നെ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കരുതേ; എന്റെ ദൈവമേ, എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നിരിക്കരുതേ.

22 Make haste to help me, My Lord, my deliverance!

എന്റെ രക്ഷകനായ കർത്താവേ, എന്റെ സഹായത്തിനായി അതിവേഗം വരണമേ.
