Psalms 146

1 Praise ye Yah, Praise, O my soul, Yahweh.

Louvai ao Senhor. Ó alma minha, louva ao Senhor.

2 I will praise Yahweh while I live! I will make melody to my God while I continue!

Louvarei ao Senhor durante a minha vida; cantarei louvores ao meu Deus enquanto eu for vivo.

3 Do not ye trust in nobles, in a son of man who hath no deliverance:

Não confieis em príncipes, nem no filho do homem, em quem não há salvação.

4 His spirit, goeth forth, he returneth to his ground, In that very day, his thoughts perish.

Sai-lhe o espírito, volta para a terra: naquele mesmo dia perecem os seus pensamentos.

5 How happy is he that hath the GOD of Jacob as his help, whose hope, is on Yahweh his God: —

Bem-aventurado aquele que tem o Deus de Jacob por seu auxílio, e cuja esperança está posta no Senhor seu Deus.

6 Who made The heavens and the earth, The sea and all that is therein, Who keepeth faithfulness to times age-abiding:

O que fez os céus e a terra, o mar e tudo quanto há neles, e o que guarda a verdade para sempre;

7 Who executeth justice for the oppressed, who giveth food to the famishing, Yahweh, who liberateth prisoners;

O que faz justiça aos oprimidos, o que dá pão aos famintos. O Senhor solta os encarcerados.

8 Yahweh, who opened [the eyes of] the blind, Yahweh, who raiseth the prostrate, Yahweh, who loveth the righteous;

O Senhor abre os olhos aos cegos: O Senhor levanta os abatidos: o Senhor ama os justos.

9 Yahweh, who preserveth sojourners, The fatherless and widows, he relieveth, —but, the way of the lawless, he overturneth.

O Senhor guarda os estrangeiros: sustem o órfão e a viúva, mas transtorna o caminho dos ímpios.

10 Yahweh, will reign, to times age-abiding, Thy God, O Zion, to generation after generation. Praise ye Yah!

O Senhor reinará eternamente; o teu Deus, ó Sião, é de geração em geração. louvai ao Senhor.
