Psalms 146

1 Praise ye Yah, Praise, O my soul, Yahweh.

ALLELUIA. Anima mia, loda il Signore.

2 I will praise Yahweh while I live! I will make melody to my God while I continue!

Io loderò il Signore, mentre viverò; Io salmeggerò al mio Dio, mentre durerò.

3 Do not ye trust in nobles, in a son of man who hath no deliverance:

Non vi confidate in principi, [Nè] in alcun figliuol d'uomo, che non ha modo di salvare.

4 His spirit, goeth forth, he returneth to his ground, In that very day, his thoughts perish.

Il suo fiato uscirà, ed egli se ne ritornerà nella sua terra; In quel dì periranno i suoi disegni.

5 How happy is he that hath the GOD of Jacob as his help, whose hope, is on Yahweh his God: —

Beato colui che ha l'Iddio di Giacobbe in suo aiuto, La cui speranza [è] nel Signore Iddio suo

6 Who made The heavens and the earth, The sea and all that is therein, Who keepeth faithfulness to times age-abiding:

Il quale ha fatto il cielo e la terra, Il mare, e tutto ciò ch'[è] in essi; Che osserva la fede in eterno;

7 Who executeth justice for the oppressed, who giveth food to the famishing, Yahweh, who liberateth prisoners;

Il qual fa ragione agli oppressati; [E] dà del cibo agli affamati. Il Signore scioglie i prigioni.

8 Yahweh, who opened [the eyes of] the blind, Yahweh, who raiseth the prostrate, Yahweh, who loveth the righteous;

Il Signore apre [gli occhi] a' ciechi; Il Signore rileva quelli che son chinati; Il Signore ama i giusti.

9 Yahweh, who preserveth sojourners, The fatherless and widows, he relieveth, —but, the way of the lawless, he overturneth.

Il Signore guarda i forestieri; Egli solleva l'orfano e la vedova; E sovverte la via degli empi.

10 Yahweh, will reign, to times age-abiding, Thy God, O Zion, to generation after generation. Praise ye Yah!

Il Signore regna in eterno, E il tuo Dio, o Sion, per ogni età. Alleluia.
