1 A Song of Ascents. David’s. Lo! how good and how delightful, for brethren, to dwell together even as one.

Cantico di Maalot, di Davide ECCO, quant'[è] buono, e quant'è piacevole, Che fratelli dimorino insieme!

2 Like the precious oil upon the head, descending upon the beard; the beard of Aaron, —which descended unto the opening of his robe:

[Questo è] come l'olio eccellente, [Che è sparso] sopra il capo d'Aaronne; Il quale gli scende in su la barba, [E poi] cola infino al lembo de' suoi vestimenti.

3 Like the dew of Hermon, which descended upon the mountains of Zion, —for, there, did Yahweh command the blessing, Life, unto times age-abiding?

Come la rugiada di Hermon, Che scende sopra i monti di Sion; Perciocchè il Signore ha ordinata quivi la benedizione, [E] la vita in eterno.
