Psalms 114

1 When Israel came forth out of Egypt, The house of Jacob from among a people of strange tongue,

Kiam Izrael eliris el Egiptujo, La domo de Jakob el fremda popolo,

2 Judah became his sanctuary, Israel his realm:

Tiam Jehuda fariĝis Lia sanktaĵo, Izrael Lia regno.

3 The sea, beheld, and fled, The Jordan, turned back;

La maro vidis kaj forkuris, Jordan turniĝis malantaŭen;

4 The mountains, started like rams, The hills like the young of the flock?

La montoj saltis kiel ŝafoj, La montetoj kiel ŝafidoj.

5 What aileth thee, O sea, that thou fleest? O Jordan, that thou turnest back?

Kio estas al vi, ho maro, ke vi forkuris? Jordan, kial vi turniĝis malantaŭen?

6 Ye mountains, that ye start like rams? Ye hills, like the young of the flock?

Montoj, kial vi saltas kiel ŝafoj, Montetoj, kiel ŝafidoj?

7 Before the Lord, be in anguish, O earth, Before the GOD of Jacob:

Antaŭ la Sinjoro tremu, ho tero, Antaŭ la Dio de Jakob,

8 Who turneth The Rock into a pool of water, The Flint into springs of water.

Kiu ŝanĝas rokon en lagon da akvo, Graniton en akvodonan fonton.
