Numbers 36
1 Then came near the heads of fathers, belonging to the family of the sons of Gilead son of Machir son of Manasseh, out of the families of the sons of Joseph, —and spake before Moses, and before the princes, heads of fathers belonging to the sons of Israel;
Vả, những trưởng tộc Ga-la-át, là con trai Ma-ki, cháu Ma-na-se, trong dòng con cháu Giô-sép, đến gần và nói trước mặt Môi-se cùng trước mặt các tổng trưởng của những chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên,
2 and they said—Unto my lord, did Yahweh give command, to bestow the land as an inheritance, by lot, unto the sons of Israel, —my lord, therefore, was commanded by Yahweh, to give the inheritance of Zelophehad our brother unto his daughters.
mà rằng: Đức Giê-hô-va có phán cùng chúa tôi bắt thăm chia xứ cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên làm sản nghiệp, và chúa tôi có lãnh mạng Đức Giê-hô-va giao sản nghiệp của Xê-lô-phát, anh chúng tôi, cho các con gái người.
3 When, therefore, unto any one from among the sons of the other tribes of the sons of Israel, they become wives their inheritance shall disappear out of the inheritance of our fathers, and be added to the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall be received, —and so out of the lot of our inheritance, shall it disappear,
Nếu các con gái kết hôn với một trong những con trai về các chi phái khác của dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, sản nghiệp chúng nó sẽ truất khỏi sản nghiệp của tổ phụ chúng tôi mà thêm vào sản nghiệp của chi phái nào chúng nó sẽ thuộc về; như vậy phần đó phải truất khỏi sản nghiệp đã bắt thăm về chúng tôi.
4 And when the jubilee shall come to the sons of Israel, then shall their inheritance be added unto the inheritance of the tribe to which they shall be received—and, out of the, inheritance of the tribe of our fathers, shall their inheritance disappear.
Khi đến năm hân hỉ cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, sản nghiệp chúng nó sẽ thêm vào sản nghiệp của chi phái nào chúng nó sẽ thuộc về; như vậy, sản nghiệp chúng nó sẽ truất khỏi sản nghiệp của chi phái tổ phụ chúng tôi.
5 Then Moses commanded the sons of Israel, at the bidding of Yahweh saying, —A right thing, are, the tribe of the sons of Joseph, speaking,
Môi-se bèn truyền các lịnh nầy của Đức Giê-hô-va cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên mà rằng: Chi phái con cháu Giô-sép nói có lý.
6 This, is the thing which Yahweh hath commanded, as to the daughters of Zelophehad saying: Unto whomsoever it may be good in their eyes, let them become wives, —save only unto the family of the tribe of their father, let them become wives.
Nầy là điều Đức Giê-hô-va có phán về phần các con gái Xê-lô-phát: Chúng nó muốn kết thân với ai thì muốn, nhưng chỉ hãy kết thân với một trong những nhà của chi phái tổ phụ mình.
7 So shall no inheritance belonging to the sons of Israel go round from tribe to tribe, —for the sons of Israel shall, each one, cleave, unto the inheritance of the tribe of his fathers,
Như vậy, trong dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, một sản nghiệp nào chẳng được từ chi phái nầy đem qua chi phái khác, vì mỗi người trong dân Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ ở đeo theo sản nghiệp về chi phái tổ phụ mình.
8 And, every daughter possessing all inheritance from among the tribes of the sons of Israel, unto one of the family of the tribe of her father, shall become wife, —to the intent that the sons of Israel may possess each one the inheritance of his fathers;
Phàm người con gái nào được một phần sản nghiệp trong một của các chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên, thì phải kết thân cùng một người của một nhà nào về chi phái tổ phụ mình, hầu cho mỗi người trong dân Y-sơ-ra-ên hưởng phần sản nghiệp của tổ phụ mình.
9 and no inheritance go round from one tribe to another tribe, —for the tribes of the sons of Israel shall cleave, each one unto his own inheritance.
Vậy, một phần sản nghiệp nào chẳng được từ chi phái nầy đem qua chi phái kia; nhưng mỗi chi phái Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ giữ sản nghiệp mình vậy.
10 As Yahweh commanded Moses, so, did the daughters of Zelophehad.
Các con gái Xê-lô-phát làm như Đức Giê-hô-va đã phán dặn Môi-se.
11 Thus then did Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milchah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, become wives, unto the sons of their father’s brethren.
Mách-la, Thiệt-sa, Hốt-la, Minh-ca, và Nô-a, các con gái của Xê-lô-phát, đều kết thân cùng các con trai của cậu mình.
12 Unto men from among the families of the son of Manasseh son of Joseph, became they wives, —and so their inheritance remained with the tribe of the family of their father.
Chúng nó kết thân trong những nhà của con cháu Ma-na-se, là con trai Giô-sép, và phần sản nghiệp họ còn lại trong chi phái tổ phụ mình.
13 These are the commandments and the regulations which Yahweh gave in charge, by the hand of Moses, unto the sons of Israel, —in the waste plains of Moab, by Jordan near Jericho.
Đó là các mạng lịnh và luật lệ mà Đức Giê-hô-va đã cậy Môi-se truyền cho dân Y-sơ-ra-ên, tại trong đồng bằng Mô-áp, gần sông Giô-đanh, đối ngang Giê-ri-cô.
