Numbers 19
1 And Yahweh spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying:
യഹോവ പിന്നെയും മോശയോടും അഹരോനോടും അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു:
2 This, is the statute of the law, which Yahweh hath commanded, saying, —Speak unto the sons of Israel—That they bring unto thee a red heifer, without defect wherein is no blemish, and whereupon hath come no yoke.
“യഹോവ കൽപ്പിച്ച ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തിലെ ഒരു ചട്ടം ഇതാണ്: ഊനമോ കളങ്കമോ ഇല്ലാത്തതും ഒരിക്കലും നുകം വെച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തതുമായ ഒരു ചെമന്ന പശുക്കിടാവിനെ നിങ്ങളുടെ അടുക്കൽ കൊണ്ടുവരാൻ ഇസ്രായേല്യരോടു പറയുക.
3 Then shall ye give her unto Eleazar the priest, and he shall take her forth unto the outside of the camp, and she shall be slain before him;
അതിനെ പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസറിനു നൽകുക; പാളയത്തിനുപുറത്തു കൊണ്ടുപോയി, അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ സാന്നിധ്യത്തിൽ അതിനെ കൊല്ലണം.
4 and Eleazar the priest shall take of her blood with his finger, —and shall sprinkle towards the front of the tent of meeting: of her blood, seven times;
ഇതിനുശേഷം പുരോഹിതനായ എലെയാസാർ അതിന്റെ രക്തത്തിൽ കുറെ വിരലിന്മേൽ എടുത്ത് സമാഗമകൂടാരത്തിന്റെ മുൻഭാഗത്ത് ഏഴുപ്രാവശ്യം തളിക്കണം.
5 and the heifer shall be burned up before his eyes, —her skin, and her flesh, and her blood, with her dung shall be burned up.
പശുക്കിടാവിനെ അതിന്റെ തുകൽ, മാംസം, രക്തം, ചാണകം എന്നിവയോടുകൂടെ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ചു ദഹിപ്പിക്കണം.
6 Then shall the priest take cedar-wood and hyssop and crimson, —and cast into the midst of the burning up of the heifer.
പുരോഹിതൻ കുറച്ച് ദേവദാരുത്തടി, ഈസോപ്പ്, ചെമന്നനൂൽ എന്നിവ പശുക്കിടാവിനെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന അഗ്നിയിൽ ഇടണം.
7 And the priest shall wash his clothes and bathe his flesh in water, and afterwards come into the camp, —but the priest shall be unclean until the evening,
അതിനുശേഷം പുരോഹിതൻ തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി, വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിക്കണം. തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിനു പാളയത്തിലേക്കുവരാം. എന്നാൽ സന്ധ്യവരെ അദ്ദേഹം ആചാരപരമായി അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കും.
8 And, he that burneth her, shall wash his clothes in water, and bathe his flesh in water, —and be unclean until the evening,
അതിനെ ദഹിപ്പിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനും തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കി വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിക്കണം. ആ മനുഷ്യനും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കും.
9 Then shall a man that is clean gather up the ashes of the heifer, and put them by, outside the camp, in a clean place, —so shall they be for the assembly of the sons of Israel to keep for water of separation it is a taking away of sin.
“ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള ഒരാൾ പശുക്കിടാവിന്റെ ചാരം ശേഖരിച്ച് പാളയത്തിനു വെളിയിൽ വെടിപ്പുള്ള ഒരു സ്ഥലത്ത് ഇടണം. ശുദ്ധീകരണജലത്തിനായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ ഇസ്രായേൽസഭ അതു സൂക്ഷിക്കണം; അത് ഒരു പാപശുദ്ധീകരണയാഗം.
10 Then shall he that gathered up the ashes wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening, —so shall it be for the sons of Israel and for the sojourner that sojourneth in your midst by a statute age-abiding.
പശുക്കിടാവിന്റെ ചാരം ശേഖരിക്കുന്ന വ്യക്തിയും തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കണം. അയാളും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധനായിരിക്കും. ഇസ്രായേൽമക്കൾക്കും അവരുടെ ഇടയിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന പ്രവാസികൾക്കും ഇത് ഒരു ശാശ്വത അനുഷ്ഠാനമായിരിക്കണം.
11 He that toucheth the dead, even any human person, shall be unclean seven days.
“മനുഷ്യന്റെ ശവം തൊടുന്ന ഏതൊരാളും ഏഴുദിവസത്തേക്ക് അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.
12 He, shall cleanse himself from sin therewith on the third day, then on the seventh day, shall he be clean, —but if he cleanse not himself from sin on the third day, then on the seventh day, shall he not be clean,
മൂന്നാംദിവസവും ഏഴാംദിവസവും അയാൾ ശുദ്ധീകരണജലംകൊണ്ടു സ്വയം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കണം. അപ്പോൾ അയാൾ ശുദ്ധനാകും. എന്നാൽ മൂന്നും, ഏഴും ദിവസങ്ങളിൽ സ്വയം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ അയാൾ ശുദ്ധനാകുകയില്ല.
13 Whosoever toucheth the dead the person of the human being that dieth and doth not cleanse himself from sin, the habitation of Yahweh, hath he made unclean; that person therefore shall be cut off out of Israel, —because, the water of separation, was not dashed upon him, unclean, shall he be, his uncleanness is yet upon him.
ശവം തൊടുന്ന ആരെങ്കിലും തന്നെ വിശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നതിൽ വീഴ്ചവരുത്തിയാൽ അയാൾ യഹോവയുടെ കൂടാരത്തെ മലിനമാക്കുന്നു. ആ വ്യക്തിയെ ഇസ്രായേലിൽനിന്നും ഛേദിച്ചുകളയണം. കാരണം ശുദ്ധീകരണജലം അയാളുടെമേൽ തളിക്കാതിരുന്നതുനിമിത്തം അയാൾ അശുദ്ധനാണ്; അയാളുടെ അശുദ്ധി അയാളുടെമേൽ നിലനിൽക്കുന്നു.
14 This, is the law—When, a human being, shall die in a tent, every one who goeth into the tent and every one who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days.
“ഒരു വ്യക്തി കൂടാരത്തിൽവെച്ചു മരിച്ചാലുള്ള നിയമം ഇതാണ്: ആ കൂടാരത്തിൽ കടക്കുന്നവരും അതിനുള്ളിലുള്ളവരും ഏഴുദിവസം അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.
15 And, in the case of every open vessel, on which no cover is fastened, unclean, it is.
അടപ്പുകൊണ്ടു മൂടിവെക്കാത്ത പാത്രമൊക്കെയും അശുദ്ധമായിരിക്കും.
16 And, whosoever toucheth on the face of the field, one slain with a sword, or one who hath died, or a human bone or a grave, shall be unclean seven days.
“വാളാൽ മരിച്ചവരെയോ സ്വാഭാവികമായി മരിച്ചവരെയോ മനുഷ്യാസ്ഥി, ശവക്കല്ലറ എന്നിവ സ്പർശിക്കുന്നവരെയോ വെളിമ്പ്രദേശത്തുവെച്ചു തൊടുന്നവർ ഏഴുദിവസത്തേക്ക് അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.
17 And they shall take, for him that is unclean, of the ashes of the burning of the sin-bearer, —and living water shall be put thereon in a vessel,
“അശുദ്ധനായ മനുഷ്യനുവേണ്ടി, ശുദ്ധീകരണയാഗത്തിൽ ദഹിച്ച കുറെ ചാരം എടുത്ത് ഒരു പാത്രത്തിൽ ഇട്ട് അവയുടെമേൽ ശുദ്ധജലം ഒഴിക്കണം.
18 Then shall a man that is clean take hyssop, and dip in the water, and sprinkle upon the tent, and upon all the vessels, and upon the persons who were there, —and upon him that touched the bone or him who had been slain, or him who had died of himself or the grave;
ഇതിനുശേഷം ആചാരപരമായി ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള ഒരാൾ ഈസോപ്പുതണ്ടെടുത്ത് ആ വെള്ളത്തിൽ മുക്കി ആ കൂടാരത്തിന്മേലും സകല ഉപകരണങ്ങളിന്മേലും അവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്ന ആളുകളുടെമേലും തളിക്കണം. മനുഷ്യന്റെ അസ്ഥി, ശവക്കല്ലറ, വധിക്കപ്പെട്ട ആൾ, സ്വാഭാവികമരണം സംഭവിച്ച ആൾ എന്നിവ സ്പർശിച്ച ഏവരുടെയുംമേൽ അയാൾ ശുദ്ധീകരണജലം തളിക്കണം.
19 and the clean person shall sprinkle upon the unclean, on the third day, and on the seventh day, —so shall he cleanse himself from sin, on the seventh day, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe in water and be clean in the evening.
ശുദ്ധിയുള്ള പുരുഷൻ അശുദ്ധിയുള്ള വ്യക്തിയെ മൂന്നാംദിവസവും ഏഴാംദിവസവും തളിക്കുകയും ഏഴാംദിവസം അയാൾ ആ മനുഷ്യനെ ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുകയും വേണം. ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട വ്യക്തി തന്റെ വസ്ത്രങ്ങൾ അലക്കി വെള്ളത്തിൽ കുളിക്കണം. അന്നു സന്ധ്യക്ക് ആ മനുഷ്യൻ ശുദ്ധിയുള്ളതായിത്തീരും.
20 But in the case of the man who shall be unclean and shall not cleanse himself from sin, that person shall be cut off, out of the midst of the convocation, —for, the sanctuary of Yahweh, hath he made unclean, the water of separation, hath not been dashed upon him unclean, he is.
എന്നാൽ അശുദ്ധരായവർ സ്വയം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്നില്ലെങ്കിൽ, അവർ സമൂഹത്തിൽനിന്ന് ഛേദിക്കപ്പെടണം. കാരണം അവർ യഹോവയുടെ വിശുദ്ധമന്ദിരത്തെ മലിനപ്പെടുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നു. ശുദ്ധീകരണജലം അവരുടെമേൽ തളിക്കാതിരുന്നതിനാൽ അവർ അശുദ്ധരാണ്.
21 So shall it be unto them for statute age-abiding, —and, he that sprinkleth the water of separation, shall wash his clothes, and he that toucheth the water of separation shall be unclean until the evening;
ഇത് അവർക്കൊരു ശാശ്വത അനുഷ്ഠാനമായിരിക്കണം. “ശുദ്ധീകരണജലം തളിക്കുന്ന പുരുഷനും തന്റെ വസ്ത്രം അലക്കണം. ശുദ്ധീകരണജലത്തെ തൊടുന്ന ഏതൊരാളും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.
22 and, whatsoever the unclean person toucheth, shall be unclean, —and the person who toucheth it shall be unclean until the evening.
അശുദ്ധരായവർ തൊടുന്ന ഏതൊരു വസ്തുവും അശുദ്ധമാകും; അതിനെ തൊടുന്ന ഏതൊരാളും സന്ധ്യവരെ അശുദ്ധരായിരിക്കും.”
