Micah 7
1 Alas for me! for I am become as gatherings of summer fruit, as gleaning-grapes in harvest, there is no cluster to eat, the first ripe fruit, my soul, craved.
¡Ay de mí, que he llegado a ser como lo que queda de la cosecha de verano, como el rebusco de la vendimia; no hay ya racimo que pueda comer; mi alma desea los higos tempranos.
2 Perished is the man of lovingkindness out of the earth, and, upright among men, is there none, —they all, for bloodshed, lie in wait. Every man—for his brother, do they hunt as for one devoted to destruction.
Han desaparecido de la tierra los hombres piadosos y no hay ya justos entre los hombres. Todos ponen asechanzas para (derramar) la sangre, cada cual tiende la red a su hermano.
3 Of wickedness with both hands to make sure, the ruler, doth make demand—and the judge—for a recompense, —and, as for the great man, he, is putting into words the desire of his soul, So have they woven the net!
Sus manos hacen el mal en vez del bien; el príncipe hace extorsión, y el juez acepta soborno; el grande manifiesta lo que desea su alma y así urden la trama.
4 The best of them, is as a sharp briar, and, the most upright, worse than a thorn hedge, The day of thy watchmen—of thy visitation, hath come, Now, shall be their confusion!
El mejor de ellos es como cambrón, el más recto peor que un cerco de espinos. Es llegado el día (anunciado por) tus centinelas, (el día) de tu visita; ahora les sobreviene la consternación.
5 Do not trust in a friend, do not put confidence in an associate, —from her that lieth in thy bosom, keep thou the doors of thy mouth;
No confiéis en el amigo, ni os fieis del mejor compañero. Guarda la puerta de tu boca ante aquella que duerme en tu seno.
6 For, the son, treateth as foolish, the father, and, the daughter, riseth up against, her mother, the daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law, —The foes of a man, are the men of his own house.
Pues el hijo trata al padre como loco; la hija se rebela contra la madre, la nuera contra la suegra; y los enemigos del hombre son los de su misma casa.
7 But, I, for Yahweh, will watch, I will wait for the God of my salvation, —My God, will hear me.
Mas yo fijaré mis ojos en Yahvé; esperaré en el Dios de mi salvación y me oirá el Dios mío.
8 Do not rejoice, O mine enemy, against me, Though I fall, I shall rise again! Though I sit in darkness, Yahweh, is a light to me.
No te alegres de mí, oh enemiga mía. Aunque caí, me levantaré, y si me senté en tinieblas, mi luz es Yahvé.
9 The indignation of Yahweh, will I bear, for I have sinned against him, —until he take up my controversy, then will he do me justice, he will bring me forth to the light, I shall behold his righteousness.
Sufriré la indignación de Yahvé —pues he pecado contra Él—, hasta que Él juzgue mi causa y me haga justicia. Él me sacará a la luz, y yo contemplaré su justicia.
10 So shall she who had been mine enemy fear, and shame, shall cover her, who used to say unto me—Where is Yahweh thy God? Mine own eyes, shall look upon her, Now, shall she become one to he trodden down, like the mire of the lanes.
Lo verá mi enemiga, y quedará cubierta de vergüenza, aquella que me decía: “¿Dónde está Yahvé, tu Dios?” Mis ojos la contemplarán; cuando sea hollada como el lodo de las calles.
11 On the day for building thy walls, —on that day, far away shall be thy boundary:
Llegará el día de la reedificación de tus muros, en aquel día será retirada la Ley.
12 The very day, that, against thee, shall one come from Assyria, and [from] the cities of Egypt; yea from Egypt, even unto the River, and from sea to sea, and from mountain to mountain:
Entonces vendrán a ti, desde Asiria y las ciudades de Egipto, y desde Egipto hasta el río; de mar a mar, y de monte a monte.
13 Though the land become a desolation, because of them that dwell therein, —by reason of the fruit of their doings.
Y la tierra será devastada a causa de sus habitantes. Este será el fruto de sus obras.
14 Shepherd thou thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine inheritance, Dwell thou alone, a jungle in the midst of a fruitful field, —Let them feed in Bashan and in Gilead, as in the days of age-past times.
¡Apacienta a tu pueblo con tu cayado, el rebaño de tu heredad, que habita solitario en la selva, en medio del Carmelo! ¡Pazcan ellos en Basan y en Galaad, como en los tiempos antiguos!
15 As in the days of thy coming forth out of the land of Egypt, will I shew him wonders.
Le haré ver prodigios como en los días de tu salida del país de Egipto.
16 Nations, shall see, that they may turn pale at all their valour, —they shall lay hand on mouth, their ears, shall be silent:
Lo verán las naciones, y se avergonzarán de toda su fuerza; pondrán la mano sobre su boca, y sus oídos quedarán sordos.
17 They shall lick the dust like the serpent, Like the crawlers of the earth, shall they come quaking out of their fastnesses, —Towards Yahweh our God, shall they pay adoration, and shall fear because of thee.
Lamerán el polvo como la serpiente; como los reptiles de la tierra, saldrán temblando de sus escondrijos; llenos de temor se llegarán a Yahvé, nuestro Dios, y se sobrecogerán de temor ante ti.
18 Who is a GOD like unto thee, taking away the iniquity—and passing over the transgression—of the remnant of his inheritance? He hath not held fast, perpetually, his anger, for, one who delighteth in lovingkindness, is he!
¿Quién es Dios como Tú, que perdonas la iniquidad, y olvidas el pecado del resto de tu herencia? No guarda El para siempre su ira, porque se complace en misericordia.
19 He will again have compassion upon us, he will subdue our iniquities, —Thou wilt cast—into the depths of the sea—all their sins.
Volverá a compadecerse de nosotros, aplastará nuestras iniquidades, y arrojará a lo más profundo del mar todos nuestros pecados.
20 Thou wilt grant—the faithfulness to Jacob, the lovingkindness to Abraham, —which thou didst swear to our fathers, from the days of ancient time.
Tú manifestarás tu fidelidad a Jacob, y a Abrahán la misericordia, que juraste a nuestros padres desde los días de la antigüedad.
